Sarah was on of our favorite people to work with throughout the entire wedding planning process. She was extremely organized, detail oriented and one of the kindest people you’ll meet! Trust me when I say she is worth every single penny; we were initially on the fence about using a coordinator but it was the best decision we made. Our day wouldn’t have been possible without her and we can’t thank her enough!

All I can say is WOW! What an awesome experience! It was downtown in the middle of 4 major events and logistics were a nightmare. Not for Sarah though!
As a wedding photographer of 13 years, I've never seen anything like it, and Sarah handled it cool as a cucumber. The vendor team kept on task and handled everything under Sarah's leadership with ease. Working with Sarah was incredible! As a photographer, I always appreciate when there is an expert taking care of the timeline and handling all coordination the day-of. Sarah was easy to work with prior to the wedding and when we met it felt like we’ve known each other a long time. She made the wedding day a breeze, allowed me to photograph an untouched reception space, and kept everything on track so I could focus on capturing the intimate moments of our couple's special day. Sarah is an expert with all local vendors, timelines, budgets, and was able to put tother the most beautiful, vibrant reception I’ve ever seen! Sarah is AMAZING!!! We had selected the Month-Of Planning Package but she was available for questions as soon as we signed the contract about a full year out! She took the time to get to know us from the moment we reached out. She was incredibly helpful with figuring out all scheduling, with writing invitations, setting seating arrangements, getting quality signage, managing vendor communication, and was the day-of magician lol. During the Month Of, Sarah helped make sure everything was exactly how we wanted; we just had to say the word and she would make it happen! She was amazing at handling any and all drama - taking the time to understand the different situations and then handling them with discretion and respect. She made sure we didn’t have to worry and that we didn’t miss out that day - from timing and food to photos and festivities, we were able to enjoy our day to the fullest extent by having her there. She has great connections with vendors and venues. She cares about and encourages you to make your big day the “best day ever”. Highly highly highly recommend, 1000000/10!
Of all of the vendors we booked for our wedding, this was the most worth it!! Sarah was truly amazing. She was so helpful with the planning process and even more so the day of our wedding. Sarah is the absolute best! We had her as a day of coordinator, but she was so so helpful in the months leading up to the wedding as well! She was so responsive anytime I reached out with questions or concerns about vendors, timelines, and anything!! We totally credit our wedding to Heart2Heart Occasions and our absolutely amazing planner, Sarah! She went above and beyond to deliver a truly amazing day for us and our guests. We received so many compliments and would not have been able to do any of it without Sarah. Most importantly we were both able to thoroughly enjoy our special day stress free. There's nothing I can say that would do justice to just how amazing of a job she did.
We cannot say enough great things about working with Sarah Baarlaer as our month of coordinator! Prior the month of our wedding, Sarah went above and beyond to help answer questions I had around specific vendors and our timeline. During our wedding weekend, we had quite a few snafus- my veil ripped in half the morning of the wedding, our transportation called at midnight the night before our wedding saying we didn’t have a large enough bus for a bridal party of 19 people, and issues with our DJ. Sarah literally called multiple bridal stores to find the same veil (all without me knowing), got on the phone with the transportation company at midnight to confirm we had the appropriate vehicle, and helped get our DJ back on schedule/fix the acoustics. She was able to put out every fire and keep the day running smoothly without putting an ounce of stress on me. Her communication, professionalism, and friendly demeanor truly made our weekend perfect. To top it off, when we got back to our hotel room (not attached to the venue), Sarah brought our card box, venue items, AND put together boxes of cookies from our cookie table for us. It was truly the best surprise to come back to. Working with Heart 2 Heart Occassions and Sarah Baarlaer was worth every penny! Our wedding would not have been the same!!!
Sarah from Heart to Heart Occasions was amazing. From day one, Sarah was available for any question we had or if we needed a recommendations for a vendor. Since we live out of state, Sarah was the go to person to check in on our vendors. On our wedding day, I did not have to worry about making sure our vendors were where they needed to be. Sarah had it all under control and after the ceremony, she kept making sure that I was okay.
Sarah Baarlaer with Heart 2 Heart is ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL! She brought me the greatest gift - making wedding planning so much fun. I had the best time over the past 13 months planning the day of my dreams. She was kind, hilarious, and never made me feel like a burden. She was always there, and I mean always, because we communicated a ton. It felt like my wedding was the only wedding she was planning, and that just amazes me that she could make me feel this way when she has so many other weddings. Her vision and execution is excellent. Her attention to detail is meticulous. She coordinated well with all the vendors. She was a calming force and energy throughout the process, and she was perfect day of. I am a meticulous person with a specific vision for my wedding, and she made it all a reality and executed it all beautifully. She quickly picked up on my personality and style, and aligned perfectly with that. She made the ideas in my head a reality. She was there every step of the way, for all my ups and downs, and I relied on her for everything.
I always say that I don’t know how people plan weddings without a Sarah… not without a wedding planner, I mean without someone like her. Because she is extraordinary, as a planner and as a person. I can never fully express how much all she did has meant to me. I am grateful to her from the bottom of my heart.
I got full service planning and it was worth every last penny, plus so so so much more. Sarah made everything seamless, for over a year leading up to the day, and she truly amazing on the wedding day. I am forever grateful for her. She is the absolute greatest.

We hired Sarah as our ‘Day of Coordinator’ but she was soo much more than that! After our first conversation I knew that I could breathe a little lighter knowing that one of the most important days of our lives was in the best of hands. She continually reached out during the months leading up to our wedding to make sure planning was on track and to answer the millions of questions we had. She was available whenever I needed her and never made us feel like any question or detail was too small. Throughout the last month of our planning, when all final decisions needed to be made, Sarah made sure to be at our final walkthrough and meet with us separately to truly be an advocate for our wishes on our special day!
On our wedding day Sarah made sure every thing ran so smoothly. She was phenomenal at communicating with our other vendors and made sure that everyone was on the same page for our wedding vision. Our wedding was an absolute dream. If there was an issue that came up, we wouldn’t have known because Sarah handled everything for us so that we could enjoy our day with the people we love the most. We truly do not believe our day would’ve been so relaxing and fun if it wasn’t for all of the help Sarah provided us!
If you’re not sure about hiring a day of coordinator, please do! Sarah was a dream to work with and I wish I was having another wedding just so I could work with her again! 😂

There aren’t words to describe how amazing Sarah of Heart 2 Heart Occasions is, but I am going to try. I hired her as my Day of Coordinator for my wedding, but she was so much more than just that. Any time I needed to call or text her throughout the wedding planning process, she was always more than willing, and within one minute of talking with her, she made me feel better. She has such a calming and relaxing demeanor, which is definitely something you want as you plan, and on that special day! She is so knowledgeable in every aspect of the wedding planning process, and so many things I did or thought of, were because of her! On the day of my wedding (June 17, 2023) , she was like an angel. She worked so hard to make sure that everything was perfect for everyone. She assured me that throughout the whole process, and she sure did make everything perfect. Helping me with any question or thought I had, along with everyone in my family and wedding party! She ran our rehearsal dinner like a champ, helping everyone know exactly where they were going to be and on our wedding day she helped keep the day flowing, set up all of my decor perfectly, was in touch with all of the vendors thanks to her organization and planning. She thought of everything. There is a video of me walking down the aisle that someone took, and I didn’t even realize this in the moment but she was behind me fixing my veil and train, and was even on her hands and knees at one point! Her dedication was apparent and she received so many compliments from my family and guests. She even had glue for my fake eyelash that started coming off halfway through the night! I would recommend Sarah to anyone, and I WILL recommend her to future family and friends that get married. Sarah brought our card box up to our room, and to our surprise, also had my bouquet in water, our guest book, and two pieces of cake in a to-go box laid out on our bed. If you’re looking for a wedding planner or a day of coordinator—- Sarah of Heart 2 Heart Occasions will get the job done in a way you can’t even imagine! Thank you for everything, Sarah!
Sarah did an absolutely tremendous job helping coordinate our wedding, especially for a reasonable price! She was easy to talk to, insightful, and took a lot of pressure off of us. We can’t stress enough our appreciation for her in all aspects including communicating with vendors, facilitating our rehearsal, and addressing any small hurdles day of the wedding. Sarah with heart 2 heart was amazing! She was so sweet and easy to work with which made the last month of wedding planning stress free for me as the bride! She genuinely cares about the couples she works with and takes time out of a busy day to answer questions or help get something done so that you don’t have to worry about it! The coordinator at my venue was challenging to deal with and Sarah was amazing day of the wedding and made sure there were no issues and if there were, I was not bothered with them. There is not enough space to write down how amazing Jennifer is at planning weddings. It's clear she's been doing this for awhile because she knows all the best vendors, has everything planned down to a "T", and she's ready for any surprises that may arise. You end the experience not only grateful that you hired her, but also thankful that you've gained a friend in the process. We cannot recommend her more highly - she is simply the best out there.
This is the father of the bride, Kimberly Rolf now Scarberry. Sara was just amazing. She was "invisible" during the service and at the same time everywhere. She had a friendly and caring attitude, but also a total command of the situation and everyone involved. We didn't miss a beat because of her. In addition to all the "normal" major items, she did little things like fluffing the pillows at the hotel exec suite - before the ceremony - because she knew we were returning after the reception for an after party; who thinks of that?!? She collected my room key mid-reception to take the gift cards to the hotel room for safe keeping. She got the whole wedding back on track when the DJ wasn't keeping pace at the beginning of the reception. She herded the groomsmen after ensuring the bridesmaids were on track. She held a pre-meeting and attended rehearsal dinner, called all vendors beforehand... the list goes on and on. We couldn't be more happy with what she did for us at the wedding. Thanks Sara!

I hired Jennifer as my month of coordinator and it was one of the best decisions I ever made. She took care of anything I needed in regards to wedding planning a month before my big day and made sure everything was coordinated and scheduled to the minute. She made the process absolutely painless. My wedding day was a stress free breeze thanks to her. She even fixed my dress when the zipper broke right before photos. I couldn’t have done it without her help and guidance. I can’t recommend her enough.

Jennifer was my wedding planner before Covid and during Covid. Originally I was supposed to have a very quick engagement and she helped line up all of my vendors and sent out my save the dates/invitations in a timely manner. Unfortunately my wedding was postponed an entire year, but Jennifer was able to keep all of my vendors the same with no issues or extra deposits. She also helped us navigate around the Covid restrictions that continuously changed leading up to my wedding. I never had an major issues (that I can remember :) it was a long journey) while working with Jennifer other than some minor spelling errors with STD’s/invites. She is a very kind and helpful woman! My mother and I are so grateful for her hard work. Thanks again, Jennifer!
Jennifer and I worked together for my wedding in August and could not be more grateful for all of her hard work! (We went with the month-of wedding services package) Jennifer was so easy and fun to work with! With my wedding being at my parents house we needed a lot of professional help rounding up all 20 people in the bridal party and she did just that! Highly suggest Heart 2 Heart Occasions!!!
Nothing is more difficult than planning a wedding during Covid. But Jennifer did an outstanding job navigating us through it. Our daughter’s wedding for June of 2020 got canceled, but Jennifer stuck right with us. Helping us contact vendors and rescheduling everything for 2021. She absolutely went above and beyond what she needed to do and we adored her! Thank you so much Jennifer! Because of you, our daughter and son in law were able to have the wedding they’d dreamed and planned for.

I was hesitant to hire a wedding planner because i really didn't think i needed one. Thank goodness i had a change of heart! Jen and her team are phenomenal! Jen made the whole planning process seamless and when it came to my wedding day everything went without a hitch! Rachel was there for my rehearsal and wedding day and was beyond helpful! she took the stress out of everything! I don’t even know where to begin to try and describe everything Jen did to make my daughter’s wedding day absolutely perfect! First of all, she has the best personality and is very easy to work with! She’s prompt at answering questions and returning emails/messages. Throughout the planning process, she offered wonderful advice and provided guidance when we were unsure of what to do or how to do it. If you give her a task, she’s on it!! My expectations were blown away on the actual wedding day! I had planned to help set all of our extra decor up when I arrived that afternoon, and I was completely shocked to see the room fully decorated and ready to go upon my arrival! It looked amazing!! She took charge of everything that day, and did everything in her power to take all of the stress off of us! The weather changed last minute, allowing us to have the ceremony outside as originally planned. Jen got the site staff out there and personally helped them move all 100+ chairs out to the lawn area (in the blazing sun and humidity) to make my daughter’s dream a reality! Anything I forgot last minute, she took care of it! Any questions I had, she got the answers! During photos outside, my daughter’s dress got infested with ants. What did Jen do?? She helped pick hundreds of ants out of every layer of her dress! I didn’t even know this happened until the next day. This is how wonderful she is!! She gives you the opportunity to enjoy your day and not have to worry about anything! I cannot recommend her enough! I’m really going to miss working with her. She definitely feels more like a trusted friend or family member, not just someone there to provide a service on your wedding day!
Jennifer was amazing! My daughters initial planner quit because she believed weddings could not happen in 2020 and my daughter refused to post phone. Jennifer came highly recommended from other planners that happened to be already booked. I spoke with Jennifer and I knew immediately she was the perfect fit. So I hired Jennifer as my daughters month of coordinator for her wedding. I can honestly say that I could NOT have pulled off the reception without her. Because of the pandemic the reception was moved to my daughters back yard. So there was a lot of day of things that had to be done and a lot of vendors arriving etc. Jennifer was there to handle it all! She is super organized, friendly, responds to all text/emails quickly. She was my rock when I had to deal with a difficult vendor! I can't recommend Jennifer enough. She alleviated so much stress for me from creating a schedule to contacting vendors and ran the reception perfectly. If you are looking for an amazing month of coordinator look no further! Jennifer was incredible! We got married on August 22, 2020 (pandemic wedding). Jennifer helped us organize and think of everything to ensure all our guests were comfortable. She was incredible the last 30+ days before our wedding taking all my stress as a bride away and she managed all our vendors impeccably well. She was our calm during the storm and available during our entire planning process even though she was only hired as a month of wedding coordinator. Use her, she rocks!
I cannot say enough good things about Jennifer! She definitely was a lifesaver since we had our wedding during the coronavirus. She helped with suggestions when things had to change and kept me on task when I got busy with work. The day of would not have been so stree-free without her. I honestly did not have one worry and was able to completely enjoy our wedding day because of her. I would definitely hire her again and would recommend her to anyone.

Wow. Where do I even start? From the day I met with Jennifer until the day I got married and even now, she has been 110% amazing. I was hesitant in hiring a planner but my now husband insisted I do so to alleviate the stress on me and now I look back and don’t know how I ever thought I could do it alone.
Jennifer not only has a contagious smile, but she also has this amazing ability to make you feel calm and collected, even in the most stressful of situations. She was always there. Always. Whether it be for a recommendation or a question or even just to talk because I was panicking, she never made me feel alone.
I would recommend her to anyone. I’m so glad that we allotted her in our budget because without her I don’t think I would have been able to do it.

I live in NYC and we planned a wedding in Cleveland for September 2019. We worked with Jennifer for over a year to execute our vision.
We are incredibly picky and opinionated, with very high standards, and Jennifer helped us execute our vision in a million different ways. Jennifer helped with pre-planning logistics, writing a very detailed day of timeline, contacting/paying our vendors, checking in with vendors closer to the day of the wedding, stuffing all of our (many) invitations, ordering our paper goods, and more!
We are very grateful to Jennifer for her patience and we are also thankful to Rachel, who was our on-site support for the rehearsal dinner and on the day of our wedding. There are a million details that go into planning an event like the one we had, and Jennifer and Rachel were a huge help in executing our vision.

My daughter's wedding was in Cleveland on 8.10.19.This is the first wedding I've planned so I needed a good deal of help with details in the last month or so before the wedding and needed help arranging final details a few months before the wedding. We had done many of the basic things in terms of florist, location, etc. prior to then on our own. Jennifer was very easy to work with and referred some vendors at my request who were all equally excellent. She was a great resource the last several weeks before the wedding and certainly invaluable the day of the wedding. I would recommend her without hesitation,
We hired Jennifer at heart 2 heart occasions as a month- of coordinator and we could not recommend her more! I met with Jennifer early on in the planning process where she gave me tips and vendor recommendations. Any time I needed a recommendation I reached out to her and everyone she recommended was great! She coordinated the timeline for the entire wedding day, organized when/where vendors needed to be on the wedding day, and helped run the rehearsal. On the actual wedding day, Jennifer’s assistant Connie was on site with us. Connie was amazing and so helpful on the wedding day. I truly believe Connie helped make the day less stressful for myself and especially my mom who would likely would have had to do more running around on the day if Connie wasn’t present. If you are looking for a wedding coordinator- I definitely recommend Heart 2 Heart occasions!
Jennifer was great! We used her full service package. Our situation was a little unique in that we moved from Cleveland a year before the wedding. With Jennifer's help we were able to plan much of the wedding when we were still in town prior to moving and then do the finishing touches while out of town. Jennifer was always available and never was upset by the 2am texts (work overnight sometimes and would think of wedding related things) regarding the wedding. She kept us on track and was great about gentle reminders when we wouldn't respond or follow through with what we said we would do. She would provide lists of objectives to try and accomplish over the next couple of weeks which were very helpful. The number of times I said "Thank God we have Jennifer" was innumerable. Jennifer was able to accommodate everything we wanted for the wedding and was very flexible when we would change plans, even as late as 2 days before the wedding and the night before. The last week before the wedding wasn't spent running around getting supplies and making favors, Jennifer was able to do all of that so our week prior was much less stressful. She made the whole process of planning significantly less stressful and much more enjoyable.
Overall would highly recommend Jennifer! The wedding was great, in part due to her hard work and dedication towards planning it. You will be in great hands if you choose Jennifer as your coordinator.

Jennifer is absolutely amazing! I used the package that helped with day of execution and organization as well as some prep before, and she was so incredibly helpful with everything. Last minute, I decided that I did want to have a beauty team, so she connected with some of the people she knows and made it happen - literally 2 months out... We are so happy we went with Jennifer for our wedding planner. You don’t even think about all of the coordination and organization that goes into planning a wedding until you are thrown into it. She was willing to help out as much and as little as I needed, always giving me the best amount of support a bride could ask for. She coordinated with my venue and worked with them perfectly. On the day of mere minutes before my ceremony it began to tsunami, allowing only a brief amount of time to move to plan B ( which I would not of even had a plan B without Jen). Jen moved the ceremony flawlessly while I was able to sip champagne with my father and cry to him how I could not get married in the gardens. Jen was a perfect comfort and remained me of the true importance of the day. I had not a worry in the world that day as she was able to work with all the vendors to keep everything running smoothly, while my husband I could enjoy what little time we have that day. A little touch that I could not thank Jen enough for was when we arrived to our seats after cocktail hour she made us little plates of each hours dourves at our place setting. You cannot put a price tag on the amount of stress that is taken off your plate having Jen by your side.

Hiring Jennifer as our day-of coordinator was one of the best decisions we made in the wedding planning process. Going into planning, I wasn't sure if we really even needed a coordinator since we planned to keep the event small and casual, but I quickly realized just how much needed to get done. Since our venue did not provide any wedding services, we were left to hire and coordinate individual vendors for every aspect of the wedding. Jennifer made sure that all of the vendors had every detail needed leading up to and on the day of the event, and even helped us avoid a last minute snafu with one of the vendors who almost had to change their day-of plan a couple of days prior to the wedding. Because of Jennifer, our wedding day was a complete dream and everything went off without a hitch. I highly recommend hiring her if you're looking for a coordinator who is a joy to work with and will make the wedding process absolutely wonderful!
Jennifer is very well organised. She made sure that we were on track during the planning process and also made sure everything stayed on schedule on the day. I think that she has a good sense of the relative scope of vision, detail and timeliness that the couple has and gets into their groove. At the same time, she also makes recommendations that we hadn’t thought of. She was definitely the right balance of attentive and focused whilst allowing us the space and discretion that we required to maximise our enjoyment of the process and the wedding.
Jennifer coped well with the challenges of planning with a couple who live in Europe. She is clearly experienced and well connected in the community of wedding professionals in the Cleveland area. We were very pleased with her service and our day wouldn't have been the same without her support.

Jennifer was the only way we could have pulled off an extraordinary ~200 person wedding WEEKEND (3 days of events) on Kelleys Island. It was a big ask to figure out how to do everything on a small island in Lake Erie, at my parents 1800s home, but she tackled it with ease. I wouldn't have known where to start - nor would I have had the time or energy to figure it out myself. I can't tell you how many people told us that our wedding was the "best wedding they've ever been to."
We felt like Jennifer was part of our family for the ~10 months we worked with her. We trusted her as our advocate, because she took the time to really understand who we were, where we came from, what our budget range was and what our priorities were. She would, little by little, give us tasks, options and decisions to make. She made contact with all the vendors and discussed every detail with them, while giving us only the details we wanted to know. She did this all while keeping us on track budget-wise, continuously checking in, clarifying, following up and recapping. Multiple vendors commented to me later about how organized and clear everything was made by Jennifer's communication.
I didn't know what I wanted at first and changed my mind a million times, so I was worried she'd be annoyed--but NO! She truly didn't mind the thousand emails and texts and helped us come up with an amazing plan/party. She somehow would always have this calming effect on me (the nervous bride who has a tendency to feel overwhelmed/stressed). After our conversations, my fiance and I would realize there wasn't a reason to be stressed because she had all our ducks in a row.

Jennifer was a fantastic day of coordinator for our wedding! As an out of town bride, it was great to have someone that was willing to coordinate logistics and familiar with my vendor team. Jennifer was extremely organized and also very professional with guests, the bridal party and vendors. Jennifer was such a great help in the month leading up to our wedding and I can't begin to describe what a relief it was to have her there for us on our wedding day. She completely had things under control and moved the day along gracefully and like clockwork. We have had friends mention how on point she was about encouraging people to move from cocktail hour to dinner, etc. Jennifer is extremely talented and we are so appreciative of everything she did for us!
With 22 months out and prior to moving to Shanghai for 18 months, we made sure to be in contract with Jennifer and we’re very glad we did! I can’t imagine pulling together our amazing day, while living on the other side of the globe, with out the help, guidance and suggestions of Jennifer and her “day of” team. The few times we returned stateside, she was available and willing to meet up (face to face instead of the usual FaceTime sessions we had while in China). There were a few times while I was out and about searching for and buying wedding décor or even if I stumbled across something on the Internet, Jennifer was available to talk or FaceTime. I would tell/ show her “Look what I found!” or “What do you think about this idea?”
Admittedly, I am a super organized and extremely detailed person, so it was wonderful to have someone on our extensive vendor team that pretty much understood our vision and feeling that we wanted for our day. We ended up hiring a few vendors prior to Jennifer coming on board. There were a few I hadn’t booked or reached out to, but Jennifer had a list that she prefers to work with. I was blown away by most of the ones she had suggested and the few others were just ho-hum. She was a great conduit in respect to vendor correspondents and reeled me in with some of my “larger than life” ideas. Despite the small handful of planning and communication glitches, as well as a fire 90 minutes prior to our cocktail hour, Jennifer and her team pulled it all together as if nothing happened. Our guests had an amazing, fun and memorable time, as did we. Our wedding day far exceeded our expectations and we have Jennifer and her expertise to thank!
We had a fire at our reception location 3 hours before we were supposed to start and Jennifer still made it all happen without missing a beat !!!

Jennifer was SUCH a pleasure to work with. I hit it off with her right away after meeting with several other planners. She was sweet, accommodating and knowledgeable. She had tons of suggestions for me right off the bat which really put my heart at ease in the midst of feeling like "Where do I even start?"
My husband came to meet with her after our initial meeting and he had all of the same wonderful things to say about her as I did.
Throughout the entire process she helped in every way one could have expected. She gave me suggestions and options on every aspect, which if I need anything, it's OPTIONS. She was always timely with her responses and there when I needed to vent to her which was so nice.
When it came to my wedding day, the weather reports showed rain ALL DAY LONG. When I asked her when the right time was to start buying umbrellas, she suggested we wait it out and offered to pick them up last minute if needed. When I started to break down and become upset that I wasn't going to be able to have my ceremony in the outdoor space originally planned upon if it rained us out, she said something to me that stuck with me for the entire day, which I am positive was the only reason I made it through without letting the change of plans the rain presented get to me. She said "Heidi, you're going to marry the same wonderful man no matter what space you end up in." On my wedding day, not one tear fell nor did I let the fact we had to go with Plan B upset me in any way. Everyone told me later down the road that they were so shocked and impressed with how I handled it, I told this story numerous times in response. I can't thank her enough for getting me through my day with the biggest smile on my face.
To wrap this up, Jennifer was amazing. I didn't worry about a SINGLE thing on our wedding day. She was even there to bring my bridesmaids Tylenol, eyelash glue and drinks whenever necessary. I can't imagine how I would have gotten through my day without all of her help.

The best word I could use to describe our experience with Jennifer is disappointing. Maybe even frustrating would be more accurate. There were two main issues. The first issue is that there were carelessness and attention to detail issues that added more stress than Jennifer alleviated. Almost immediately after hiring Jennifer we started having issues. She would send us contracts with incorrect information on them (like what time our wedding started), sent us information without listening to what we wanted, and was generally unresponsive. Most of the time it took her days and often times up to a week to respond to emails. On more than one occasion she did not respond to the email altogether. My husband confronted her about these issues early on and she apologized and promised to do better moving forward but the same pattern of making careless mistakes and being generally unresponsive continued. Further, we had issues with vendors that, after reaching out to the vendor directly, we learned stemmed from them receiving incorrect information from Jennifer. The second issue is that there were things that she helped us with but if you look at the time that it took to do the things that she did help with, her hourly rate would be outrageous. She always seemed too busy to help me. She came to maybe three vendor appointments with me because every time we would schedule an appointment she would be “too busy” to attend or “it wasn’t necessary” for her to attend but that’s what we were paying her to do. We ended up working around HER schedule instead of mine and we hired her on the promise that she would work with my schedule. She’s not a bad person and it’s not that I don’t think she didn’t care; it’s just that the value proposition was just not there. It wasn’t worth it. We did not get enough for what we paid for.

ith all our clients, I hope you know that we strive to provide the best service possible and do everything in our power to accommodate and serve you and your family. I would love to talk with you further about this offline, but I do feel compelled to take a moment and address your concerns for others who might be reading your review…
1. Attention to detail is very important and we pride ourselves on our ability to work through each piece of your wedding, so that your day runs smooth. Yes, sometimes we have to go back and make adjustments to plans or pieces of the wedding. But by doing this, we know that we have done everything we can to make your say seamless. Even if this requires reworking areas of it several times to make it perfect. This is much preferred to NOT making adjustments, and regretting it on the wedding day.
2. We know our couples are busy and that each part of the planning process is important. This is why we always respond to emails, phone calls and texts within 24 hours max. In your case, this included the 664 emails between you and I, and the 613 emails between your 10 vendors and I. It also included the 1272 text messages, the majority of which were sent and responded to after 7pm at night. We know many couples only have time to sit and review wedding materials after work, which is why make ourselves available at times that are convenient to you. Also, we averaged a meeting every 5-7 weeks, which over the course of the 12 months we worked side by side, seemed like a fair amount. Not counting all the other forms of communication. I also met you within walking distance of your downtown work place on more than one occasion, to make it as convenient to you as possible.
3. After your review was posted, I went back and checked in with all 11 of your vendors, to see if there were mistakes that we needed to corrected, or areas of improvement that we could work on. None of them were sure what you were referencing in your review and were as surprised as I was to hear that your experience was negative.
4. We value each of our clients, and become honest friends with most of them, extending past their wedding date. Given the 12 months we worked together, I am truly heartbroken and saddened that you feel this experience was negative. At the end of your wedding, when you and your husband gave me hugs and told me that your day wouldn’t have been as amazing without my guidance and help, I thought it to be true. Which would explain my bafflement at your review.
I hope that some of this helps to clear up any lingering issues you might have, and as always, I am happy to talk further offline. But reviews are the biggest factor that lead newly engaged couples to the vendors they end up booking. With my company’s reputation and my livelihood at stake, I felt compelled to address your points.
I sincerely hope your wedding was all you had hoped for and that you are enjoying life as newlyweds.

Jennifer was very professional, prompt, and accommodating. She responded to emails/phone calls in a timely manner and was always very pleasant. She ensured that our needs were met prior to and the day of our wedding! We highly recommend her for your wedding planning process!
Overall she was helpful. We hired her for the month and day of the wedding. Prior to the wedding she helped us make sure we got all of our ducks in a row. The little things that couples can forget like someone to collect the gifts and take them to your home. On the day of the wedding she ran out to buy something I forgot. She did her best to make things run smoothly. Unfortunately after she left (we hired her for 8 or 9 hours) is when things went south. The only thing I still don't understand was some miscommunication between her and the bus we hired to transport our guests. Instead of talking to her they called my husband many times while we were taking pictures and they claimed they could not get through to her. She said she never got a call from them. I tend to believe her.
We were not satisfied and were forced to step-in and express that in advance. We paid for 10 extra hours in our contract which was not fulfilled. It is very difficult to set meetings with them if you are not in town or are unable to meet between 9 AM -5 PM Mon-Fri. I am a consultant, working 80+ hours per week (hence why we needed a coordinator) which made setting up meetings nearly impossible.
I emphasized time over time I wanted floor length linens, ours on the wedding day were 6 inches off the floor.
The day of coordinator did not know the run of show which was very evident the day of.
We specifically asked for our meals to be boxed to go at the end of the night (we were starving!) and they were tossed as was the extra cake. My cousin had to step in at the end of the night to set-up the sparkler exit, which was supposed to be set prior to the coordinator leaving for the evening.
3 stars is for the coordinator who if asked for something or prompted on the day of would go get the ask done in a heart beat. She was not shy and did want to ensure that the day went smoothly.
However, we were only permitted 1 meeting with her in advance of the day which was not sufficient time for her to learn our run of show. This on top of the fact that we paid for extra hours, was disappointing at best.
Overall, for the cost of coordination the day was fine, would not recommend the coordination + extra services. I cannot comment on the full day planning as we did not use that service.
Heart 2 Heart was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding. I did an assessment early on and determined what my needs where for the wedding. I knew that I'd need help on my wedding day but my husband and I were determined that the help we needed would not coming from family or friends attending the wedding. We wanted our guest to have fun not worry about decorating or setting up equipment. I knew that I'd need a planner to make everything come together so I went on “The Knot” and looked for a "winner" and that is exactly what I found in Jennifer and Rachel. Jennifer basically told me she could customize a package to fit our specific needs so I decided on one month prior to the wedding plus day of coordination. My husband and I are both military so planning events is in my wheel house. I had a vision for our wedding so for the year leading up to the wedding I saved pictures on Pinterest, selected all my vendors and made a "wedding look book" that I could hand over to Jennifer. I wanted whoever I worked with to be "inside my head" when it came to my vision and decorating. Jennifer also helped me by ensuring I had thought of everything in regards to vendors, venues and everything else. I began working with Rachel after my husband and I made it to Ohio about 3 days before my wedding. She had already reviewed my "look book" so she was aware of my vision and how I wanted the reception hall to look. We didn't really need any help at the Church, everything there was set plus we didn't have a huge wedding party. I really wanted Rachel to focus on the reception and what an amazing job. I could not have been more pleased. I was standing outside the reception hall looking through the windows waiting for the wedding party to be announced and could not believe how beautiful everything looked. Everything I wanted she did and probably better than I could have. The entire night I received so many compliments on Rachel, her professionalism, calm in the storm personality and how beautiful she made everything look. She validated for me what I'd been telling my family for months "the wedding planner has it, don't worry, it will all come together" I am so happy that I hired Heart 2 Heart. I'd recommend them to anyone for any event.
If you're looking for a sign as to whether or not to use Heart 2 Heart Occasions for your wedding; consider this review it. My now-husband and I stubbornly refused to hire a wedding planner early on, but suddenly we were about 2-3 months away from the big day and we were rapidly running out of time with a to-do list that was a mile long. I was traveling for work and unable to dedicate much time to planning, and was terrified about not getting everything done. I found Heart 2 Heart via the Knot, and as soon as I spoke to Jennifer on the phone I knew she was perfect. She was confident we could get it all done and brought such a positive, can-do attitude to the table. Jennifer worked with us to design a customized plan that fit our needs and budget--something I had trouble finding with other planners--and quickly got to work. She tied up our many (MANY) loose ends and helped us find vendors, get quotes, and pick out last minute details, all while also giving us a weekly to-do list to make sure we were on top of our own tasks. I frequently contacted her in a panic with the next thing I never thought we'd get done and, bless her heart, Jennifer managed to either put a plan together or get it done every single time. She was thoughtful and thorough with each step of the process--there is no such thing as a forgotten task with Jennifer! Her expertise is evident in everything she does and she handled everything from vendor meetings to my many questions flawlessly. The day of the wedding she worked tirelessly to keep it all moving smoothly, and her presence made all the difference in the world.
We were, frankly, in a lot of trouble before we found Jennifer. What we hired her for was some planning help leading up to the wedding and a full day-of package. She did all that, but what we ultimately received was much more valuable; a seamlessly executed wedding and memories we will cherish forever. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Jennifer to anyone. Jen made the wedding planning flawless and seamless. We started a year in advance with the planning and used the package where we had total access to Jen. She told us what decisions we needed to focus on and when it needed to be done. The year of planning was very stress free. She knows the best vendors for your type of wedding and personality. Our wedding day was absolutely a fairy tale, and it wouldn't have been possible without Jennifer!
Jennifer at Heart 2 Heart Occasions was such an asset in the process of planning and having our wedding. We were all set to have a pretty large affair and I (the bride) was feeling a lot of pressure to put on a great big party - not exactly my strong suit. When we hired Jennifer for month-of planning services, she swooped in and took care of all the little details that were driving me crazy. She tackled vendor communication complications, the dreaded and ever-changing wedding weekend timeline, and every little annoyance on the wedding day that I am so glad I did not have to deal with. I keep telling people that hiring Jennifer was one of the best ways we could have chosen to use our wedding budget. I have no doubt that the day would have been far less enjoyable had she not been there to help. We would hire her all over again in a heartbeat.
Jennifer with Heart2Heart was an amazing and such a worthwhile part to our wedding. Overall, she was organized and leading up to the day she greatly decreased our extra hassles and work. When it came to choosing vendors, she was unbiased and showed us that ones that we wanted to see, as well as ones that she was familiar with. The day of our wedding is where she really outdid herself though. From trouble shooting small glitches, to helping do all of the day of stressful jobs that no one wants to do, she made our day go flawlessly. I could not have had a better wedding, and undoubtably a huge part of that was due to Jennifer and Heart2Heart.
Jennifer did an amazing job planning our wedding / reception / rehearsal. She was very flexible in terms of when and where we could meet, and she was always extremely prepared for every meeting. She would have multiple options (with pictures where applicable) for every detail. She also stepped in to give us a big assist when our reception venue has some unforeseen issues, and helped make sure that our day would be as amazing as we'd hoped.
She gave us great guidance on everything and I would highly recommend her.

There are not enough stars to truly convey how amazing and integral Jennifer was to our special day. We had not only a Catholic church ceremony and a reception of almost 400 attendants, but we also had a traditional Indian ceremony (a horse, baraat, mandaap included) and organized lunch - all in one day! Believe it or not, with Jennifer's help, we were able to do all these events ...and ON TIME! It was one of few two-ceremony weddings that my friends and relatives have seen accomplished with such seeming ease and timeliness. Sincere thank you to Jennifer also for driving the bride to the church :) Finally, she was incredibly easy to reach and easy to work with during the month before the wedding - the most crucial time, I felt. I sincerely appreciated this. Thank you so very much, Jennifer! You are a true gem and a miracle worker!! :D
When I first got engaged, I was incredibly excited. Slowly, the reality of planning the wedding set in, and I began to feel overwhelmed. I knew that since I work full time, and my family lived out of country, I was going to be in need of some guidance. I began to look for a wedding planner because I really wanted to have the experience of planning the wedding to be an enjoyable one.
I began to speak with a few wedding planners based on recommendations online. As soon as I met Jennifer, I knew she was a perfect fit. She was incredibly warm, personable and enthusiastic. She was accommodating in being able to meet after hours, which made things so much easier. After speaking with her once, I felt myself draw a huge sigh of relief.
By the next time we talked, she showed up with an organized time line and projected budget. There were so many decisions to make, but I knew that I didn’t need to worry about forgetting anything, because she was on top of things. This took the stress away and really allowed us to enjoy the whole process.
Not only did she always keep us updated and informed, she also was an incredible resource for suggestions and a great sounding board with her years of experience.
We were then presented with a great challenge. We were informed that our venue was not going to be built on time, 2 weeks before the wedding. Without missing a beat, Jennifer began to work with the venue to create the wedding of our dreams. She kept a cool and collected head, and helped keep us upbeat and calm. Even though we were very worried about how things would turn out, we knew we could trust her decisions.
The wedding was absolutely beautiful. We were able to enjoy the day, while she worked behind the scenes to make things run seamlessly, and make it the most incredible day! Just to show another example of Jennifer’s dedication. While offering to bring me a beverage to our table, she noticed that our wedding cake, had been tilting to the side. She made a running catch, to stop it from falling to the floor, and saved the cake!!! Now that’s a super wedding planner.
I felt throughout the whole process that she truly cared about our vision for the day, and put the priority of our happiness above all things.
I would highly recommend Heart 2 Heart Occasions to anyone who is in need of help on their special day!

We used Jennifer for the month prior and wedding day. She did a great job communicating with the vendors, reassuring me I was thinking of all the right details, setting up items at the reception, making sure my husband and I were happy throughout the day. She is very attentive to details and very personable. I definitely recommend Jennifer for any wedding.
Jennifer was fabulous to work with. I tend to be a huge procrastinator and she kept us on track. The money spent on a wedding planner is well worth it. Anything that helps with easing stress is worth it. Jennifer made sure every detail was perfect for our beautiful day.

My fiance and I used Heart 2 Heart Occasions for help with our big day, which included a meeting a month prior to review our plans thus far, completion of a timetable for the day of which she shared with all (nine+) of our vendors the week before, time the day before (because the ceremony site had full time staff, we opted to have her meet us at the reception site instead of during the rehearsal) and her presence at the reception site all day to set up and coordinate other vendors' set up.
Initially we chose Jennifer because her professionalism was obvious during the first phone call. We were planning a less traditional wedding (carnival themed reception with vegetarian dinner, no maid of honor, no big dress to bustle), and none of that tripped her up where other coordinators we interviewed seemed stuck in the past and confused by our plans.
In person, it was a relief to see how ea
