Heather and her team were exceptional—professional, responsive, and lots of fun to work with. Our wedding ceremony had some unique complexities, and Heather addressed these with confidence and creativity. When the reception venue experienced staff turnover, and we weren't getting answers to our questions, she worked behind the scenes to help improve communication, resulting in an outstanding event. You will not regret hiring Heather's firm. Great value for money.
We wouldn’t have been able to pull off our wedding at the Mt. Washington Mill Dye House without Heather. We hired her for “wedding management” services and she was a lifesaver stepping in from 6-8 weeks out from our wedding date. Heather took over all vendor communications, created our timeline and schedule for the wedding day and provided invaluable advice to us along the way. We made several adjustments to our plans for the day based on her experience of what worked well, what didn’t and tips to keep things running smoothly.
On the day of, Heather and her team showed up on time and we’re efficient at getting us through the day. We had some potential weather in the forecast, and the HSE team kept us up to date with latest forecasts, talked to our vendors about modifications to accommodate the windy weather we experienced, and were able to adjust to a new game plan and timeline for photos on the fly. We had one planner on site with us at the hotel getting ready to keep things moving smoothly there (meetings florist, photographer and videographer, making sure the bus was there, getting us to the first look on time, making sure guests got on the right bus, etc.). The rest of the HSE team were on site at the venue setting up everything.
Once the wedding began, Heather and her team had a no-nonsense aura around them - they were on a mission to keep us running on time and aren’t afraid to run interference when things get off the rails. They made sure after the ceremony that my husband and I had some uninterrupted time together (literally guarded the door) to relax and have a drink before we were bombarded with our guests. As a result of their work, we were able to enjoy our wedding day as envisioned with limited interruptions. Hiring Heather and her team was the best money we spent for our wedding day - we couldn’t recommend them enough.
The decision to hire Heather St. Clair was unquestionably the best decision we made in our entire process of wedding planning. Before finding Heather, we were unsure of all the things we would have to do as part of our wedding. But Heather's guidance, reminders, and calm reassurance were utterly crucial. We are active planners, researchers, and generally anxious types. Heather's wisdom, expertise, and temperament helped us prioritize, plan effectively, and make better choices. It also helped us make sure that we weren't panicking. When we couldn't quite articulate what we wanted, she offered useful guidance and opinions, always leaving the final choice to us. She has relationships with all the vendors and wedding specialists, so she is able to communicate our needs and their needs with an eye toward discriminating what is most important. She pointed us to a number of the other vendors we hired who ended up being superstars, and those vendors all loved working with her, which made for seamless planning!
The other great thing about having Heather on our side was during the wedding weekend itself. She was able to walk us through ensuring all of our guests would be safe (a concern with people with disabilities), the timing of set up, and that the aesthetics matched everything we had hashed out beforehand. After working with her at our rehearsal, our parents and a number of our wedding party expressed how great she is! She consulted one-on-one with our officiant and others as necessary to make sure everyone understood their responsibilities. And in addition to making sure everything looked great, she made sure we felt good and enjoyed everything. She made sure we took time to eat (something we know a lot of people don't have time to do at their own weddings) and had a nice appetizer tray waiting for us in our room after the ceremony and before dinner started. We also got a care package for after the reception with samples so we could enjoy a late-night snack.
She and her team, notably Alyssia and Hannah, were integral in doing the legwork necessary to make our event match our utmost desires. Alyssia managed to keep track of our progress, respond to our questions, and bring up additional action items as they came up. Hannah was Heather's right-hand on the actual wedding day and for our recovery brunch. She helped with legwork, set-up, and vendor interactions, and was checking in with the bride or bride and groom whenever possible. The whole team is just amazing. Heather kept the trains moving effectively the day of, including wrangling our families for photos, coordinating timing with our photographer and other vendors, and ensuring the ceremony set up was on point. When there were delays, she adjusted things without making us worry at all. She addressed any small issues that came up. We are chronic overthinkers, but we really didn't feel the need to worry about anything on the day.
Our parents and our wedding party were amazed by her level of professionalism, her clear directions, and setting up everyone to have an amazing time. All this, while conveying warmth, diligence, calm, and an appreciation for us as a couple. Heather is a rare find, an absolute gem. Her knowledge of what a wedding can be, what works, and how to make a wedding a truly exceptional affair is a talent that needs to be experienced to be truly appreciated. There are weddings, and then there are Heather St. Clair weddings. We were so fortunate to have the latter.
Heather was the planner for our wedding that took place in June 2023 at Black Walnut Point Inn, and she, and her assistant Alyssia, were absolutely amazing! We were looking for someone who was open-minded and down to earth, and Heather gave off a great vibe just from our very first zoom call. She was extremely easy to work with, and took care of everything we could imagine (plus more than we’d never even know about). In the weeks leading up to the wedding, we felt 100% comfortable leaving things up to Heather to handle, and she took away SO much of our stress. She handled communicating with all of our (many) vendors without missing anything and was sure to keep us on track of our own tasks. She and Alyssia were a part of our whole wedding weekend, including our rehearsal dinner and the full wedding day. Working with them both was an absolute joy! They were both so easy to be around, they worked tirelessly, and they took care of EVERYTHING we (and our families) could have possibly needed. The weather was iffy on both days they were with us, and they kept everyone calm and made very well thought out decisions and backup plans. We would recommend Heather and Alyssia to anyone and everyone, and we only wish we could relive the day with them both!
My daughter's wedding was scheduled for January 8th 2022 which of course had to be rescheduled. Heather and her team took care of everything including lining up all the same vendors, rescheduling the venue and all necessary details AND we were able to reschedule only 3 months later!. Since we were long distance from Baltimore, having Heather and her team was a lifesaver. She took care of all the details and the event ran seamlessly and was truly beautiful. Just what one wants at their wedding. Hire her!
Heather was fantastic! We had Heather take over coordinating 3 months prior to the wedding and I can't imagine having lead up to the wedding without her. She helped through all of the last minute stress and last minute things that come up with wedding planning and made it as stress free as possible. The few weeks leading up to the wedding and the wedding day itself was so smooth and stress free. Jessie and Alicia were our day of team and everything went smoothly and perfect, I didn't have to think about a thing on the day of, I wouldn't have changed anything! Would definitely recommend Heather and her team to all! In retrospect having a day of coordinator/planner was probably the one thing I would most recommend to future couples and Heather and her team did this job fantastically!
I cannot possibly do justice with words to the exceptional service provided by Heather St. Clair.
I hired her for full service planning of my daughter’s wedding after we’d chosen the venue. So we already knew what kind of event we wanted, but it was a complicated venue. My daughter was happy to leave the details to me, but as a person who can be indecisive it felt daunting. From the first conversation, I knew I’d found the perfect planner. Heather listened attentively, and immediately understood the vibe and aesthetic we wanted to achieve. She made perfect recommendations for other vendors, nailed the décor, was always mindful of our budget… Let me say that again: She was always mindful of our budget… even when (or especially when) I let it get out of control. When I became anxious and worried she was calming. Her organizational skills and memory for the tiniest details are stellar. No concerns or questions were ever too big or too small. She addressed each with equal attention. And somehow, miraculously, I never felt like I had to compete with other clients for her time or attention.
On wedding day she and her staff were everywhere we needed them without having to ask. They managed every nuanced detail to perfection. Heather even made a design decision at the last minute to change something which we hadn’t talked about and was such an amazing improvement. As a high strung intense person it amazed me how relaxed I was because I knew Heather was attending to every detail.
You cannot choose a better planner; you will feel like she is your own personal and exclusive consultant who completely understands and knows you. She will take your vision, help you fine tune it to reflect your personality, and implement it flawlessly.
Heather was an aboslute dream to work with. She is calm, cool and collected which was a true gift to have in the wedding planning process. She was able to help us navigate many conversations with vendors, brainstorm out of the box ideas, and ease the stress of wedding planning. We had many moved events with COVID and Heather remained grounded, flexible and engaged for each event & rescheduling. The absolute best part of working with Heather is just how wonderful of a human she is. She is kind, thoughtful, and so fun to work with. She is the planner you want to be friends with and makes an intimidating process fun and enjoyable. HIGHLY recommend. We are so grateful for her and her team!
We first hired Heather as our day of coordinator for our July 2020 wedding. She ended up helping us through two Covid-related postponements and the planning of our intimate 2021 wedding in New York and big 2022 reception in Baltimore. We have said it 1000 times, but we couldn't have gotten through the past two years without her. She guided us through the sadness and anxiety of ditching our original plans and planning two new weddings in two different states. I should also mention that all of our meetings were over Zoom, since we live in Boston. We didn't even get to meet Heather until our 2022 reception in Baltimore, but it felt like we were family. We honestly can't say enough good things about her and her team. They're always on top of things, dealt with my considerable disinterest in planning and helped me get things done, encouraged our non-traditional ideas, and were all around so sweet, helpful, knowledgeable, dedicated, and fun. I never want to plan another wedding ever again, but if I did, I'd hire Heather again in a heartbeat!
The bride to be hired Heather and what a perfect choice she was. Heather and her team was AMAZING!!!! Nothing is perfect however, this wedding and reception WAS PERFECT. As the MOB, I can say I could totally relax through the entire weekend of festivities! Heather was always 3 steps ahead of me and took care of every detail. Heather was calm, cool, collected, and level headed. I would do it all again in a heartbeat. I can't say enough great things about Heather and her team. Ask her what Caterer we used. It will not disappoint.
