tever I wanted to bring my vision to life. She didn't try to upsell me or try to convice me to book a whole set up. I was looking for a place that was okay with me using faux flowers in my decor and that was completely fine with them! My bouquet was a cascading arrangement and it just looked like an absolute fairytale, it was everything I wanted and more. The process with her from the beginning to the end was a breeze, the communication, overall look and idea, and execution was just superb. 10/10, I would recommend this place to anyone needing flowers for an event.

From the start, Lesleigh and Luisa were so kind, collaborative, and thoughtful, and listened to us and our vision every step of the way and provided super helpful guidance. They were great to work with.
I had a strong vision of exactly what I was and wasn’t looking for, and on my wedding day, the floral arrangements exceeded even my highest expectations. I had requested blue hydrangea and the flowers were the most perfect blue I have ever seen. I was worried about how the roses I had requested would look in the bouquets because I had never seen a precedent of what I was requesting. My worries vanished the moment I saw the arrangements - they looked and smelled amazing, like a dream, with the most perfect roses. Everything, every arrangement was so perfect, so fresh, and so alive. The bouquets stayed alive and fresh, even after hours in the hot Virginia summer sun, so I kept a few, and they were so beautiful the days after that I could not take my eyes off of them (and I like flowers but not usually this much). The lady I worked with - Karen - was very knowledgeable about types of flowers in season and provided excellent recommendations on colors, bouquet sizes, and types of flowers based on the ideas I had and what we were all wearing! She was also able to work with me to get a flower that was out of season but I really wanted in my bouquet. I got multiple compliments on the flowers throughout the wedding!

Catherine was someone we were put in contact with early on and she was open and honest with us about our selections from the very beginning in terms of feasibility and cost. Later on, we worked closely with the owner, Karen, and she was also a great pleasure - she was incredibly flexible with us and did an outstanding job making sure we got what we wanted. Every single detail for our day was curated perfectly. All floral pieces survived extreme heat AND rain, and ultimately, were so so stunning (I am still getting compliments about my bouquet)! :) Thanks, Hedge!!

By the time Wynne sent over a detailed description of the design plan with prices, I felt completely comfortable that she would ensure the end result was perfect. She was a patient listener, taught me about different blooms and greens, and made suggestions that were completely in tune with the ‘feel’ I was going for. Her customer service was incredible, and I would recommend that everyone work with her. The only negative comment I have about Hedge is that I called weeks before the wedding with final payment information, and someone forgot to run the card. Because of that, someone sent an email around 2pm on my wedding day asking for final payment. When I returned the vases, I provided feedback that either someone should be checking for final payment on all accounts at least one week before the event day or they should have waited to email at least until the next day. I sincerely hope they take this advice because it was an added stress that I did not need. Negative comment aside, I would recommend Hedge and especially Wynne for wedding florals due to her excellent ability to listen and collaborate to come up with the perfect floral solutions.

so perfect. I initially had reached out to several other florists in the area who all quoted astronomical pricing to decorate the arch for our ceremony. Hedge was extremely flexible and came up with a way to make it affordable yet still gorgeous and perfect, and I wished I had gone to them first. I had such a specific vision for our wedding flowers, and Hedge completely NAILED IT. I mean it was even better than what I had imagined. We had five flower girls, and Hedge created beautiful flower crowns for them, as well as a gorgeous flower comb for my hair, which was exactly what I had envisioned. They were absolutely wonderful and easy to work with, and I cannot recommend Hedge enough for floral needs! If we lived in Charlottesville, Hedge would easily be my go-to florist. :)

I remember specifically looking through inspiration photos with her, and she quickly skipped over one image and said “no, you won’t like that,” and agreeing with her, I asked, “Why specifically wouldn’t I like that?” and she nailed exactly the reason, pretty much even using the same words I would have used.
I couldn't give the full 5 stars only because my bouquet was specifically supposed to be "loose and flowy," which we talked about a lot, and that element was lacking. My bouquet was a fairly compact arrangement, and that was a little upsetting, but it didn't detract from the day at all. I'm not sure what happened, but everything else was perfect, and I HIGHLY recommend Hedge, especially Wynne.

We also had one flower included in the bouquets and boutonnieres that was way too orange for our blush pink wedding. However, neither of these issues were detrimental to the wedding. Overall we would highly recommend HFB for all your wedding needs.
