Hedrick's Catering & Events

My husband and I hired Lisa for our wedding on 5/1/21 at The Bryan Museum. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the product and service we received. It was the most talked about disappointment among our guests. Lisa did a fantastic job catering my bridal shower in March, so I was quite surprised when I sat down to a plate of salmon, 3 small roasted new potatoes and 3 small Brussel sprouts. This portion was much smaller than our tasting portion of Brussel sprouts. Additionally, the riesling chicken my husband had tasted looked nothing like the dish we were served at the tasting in January. I had previously been to a wedding where there wasn’t enough food, so I specifically asked Lisa if we had ordered enough food. Never once were my husband and I trying to decrease items or pick certain sides based on budget. It’s frustrating because we were willing to spend what we needed to for a great meal. If we were served the dish that was presented to us at the tasting, everyone would have had plenty of delicious food to eat.  I feel a professional should have advised us to chose different sides (if this was her normal portion) or advised us on more sides. Neither happened and we did our tasting with Lisa personally. We also had communication issues with her assistants throughout the planning process. Her assistants did not properly answer our questions after multiple emails. We had to have our wedding planner step in multiple times to communicate directly with Lisa. We also discussed getting a pre-plated salad with Lisa, her assistants and our wedding planner, which was communication in an email after our tasting in January and then between my planner and Hedrick's in April regarding final guest counts and pre-plating the salad . I even chose the napkin fold based on a pre-plated salad. For some reason, the salad never made it on an invoice. On our wedding day, we were shocked to find that our chargers sat empty.  Since the pre-plated salads were in the email my planner sent with final numbers, we did not think to check for it in the final invoice. We should have double checked the final invoice and we take full responsibility for it, however, it was a big disappointment and adds to our miscommunication issue. Overall, we are sad that we seem to be the odd couple out considering the number of reviews. If Lisa would have told us to order different sides or suggest we do anything different, we would have done it in a heartbeat. She even told our planner that the sides were smaller than they usually get from her grower. If that was the case then you don’t just serve a smaller portion, you make it right. We are left with the memory of a disappointing wedding meal, which we so desperately tried to avoid. ***Edit: Lisa reached out to discuss the matter with us and offered a way to make it right. We feel that Lisa made a good-faith effort in this situation and are satisfied with the end result***

The guests at my daughter's wedding enjoyed a delicious meal impeccably served. The staff was so professional and easy to work with. I would not hesitate to use Lisa Hedrick and her catering team at any future event.

Hedrick’s is an amazing company! We loved being able to meet with Lisa (the owner) and sample different foods before making any final decisions. Her food and display during tasting was divine!! She is so professional and super friendly! She is SO easy to work with and when it came to budget (for a 200+ guest list) she was heaven sent! Our guests LOVED the passed appetizers during cocktail hour. Some were even saved for me and my husband to enjoy with our dinner. Our guests also enjoyed their buffet style dinner with a plated salad and bread. Included with the food we purchased was also flatware, plates (dinner and salad), water goblets, and napkins (color of our choice). Her staff also bussed tables after dinner. They also included complimentary cake cutting services (which we did not use since we had cupcakes). We could not have had such a lovely wedding without this company. We highly recommend their services- they work with you on your budget (they happily redid our quote like 10 times upon our request to ensure we were satisfied). They showed up on time and stayed in contact with me throughout the entirety of us working with them. We absolutely love Hedrick’s and if we had to redo our wedding we would definitely use them again!

Lisa and her team truly surpassed all of my expectations for my bridal shower! Not only were they there on time to set everything up but, they went above and beyond to make sure everything was beautiful from every angle! Besides it being beautifully displayed, THE FOOD WAS AMAZING!!! Every single one of my guests enjoyed every single item on the menu! We had a full mimosa bar and everyone enjoyed that as well. Thank you so much for making the bridal shower of my dreams a true dream for me and all of my ladies!

Hands down, the most talented group of individuals! I worked with Lisa and Tessa on my exclusive blogger event. They were both super professional and a dream to work with. Lisa, and her assistant, worked closely with me to plan out the details. They were diligent, quick to respond, and available to answer all of my questions. Lisa assured me I wouldn't have to lift a finger and that they would take care of everything (and she did not disapppint). Tessa was the chef for my event, and the food qas absolutely decadent. Everyone was blown away. The food was amazing, the presentation was on point, and they were a dream to work with. I cannot say enough about this amazing team! From start to finish they literally executed to perfection. Can't wait to work with Lisa again!

I had a wonderful experience with Lisa Hedrick Catering! They provided food for our Ski Lodge themed corporate holiday party. I chatted with the team about what we were looking for, enough food to feed everyone a good meal, but wanted to do buffet type stations, and it was perfect! They worked with our budget, and when I met Lisa at the venue for a tour of the kitchen and facility, she came up with a brilliant idea to put a hot cocoa bar in the back of the old Chevy truck that was onsite, and it was perfect! Lisa even brought fresh greenery to spruce up all of the food displays, which was such a nice addition. The service was great, and we never ran out of yummy hot food. I would definitely recommend this catering company if you are looking for a creative company willing to make your ideas come to life!

Very easy to work with and exceeded expectations of my vision for the event!

The Hedrick’s Catering and Events team went above and beyond for my wedding. Working with them was an absolute pleasure and a walk in the park! They were always on time, always communicating whatever was needed, and the food was AMAZING! Following the wedding, we had countless guests tell us how much they loved the food we had and that it was some of the best they have ever tasted. We also had countless guests tell us how beautiful the set up was! That was a big success to us! And it is all thanks to the Hedrick’s catering team.

Lisa and her team did an amazing job taking our visions and making them a reality for our wedding. I asked for different food stations to be a bit more creative and asked for a fun dessert table and her team delivered. They were even sweet enough to make and bring us individual plates, and the food was delicious!!! I would highly recommend Lisa, her team and all of their food!!

One of our hardest vendors to find was a reasonably priced caterer. It seemed like once we got to our head count rage (200), prices for food were going to cost us more than renting the venue itself! Then I found Lisa Hedricks Catering & Events. Their prices were very fair and the food was so wonderful. Everything we ordered was delicious. The service was great, food was plated nicely, and it tasted just as good as it looked and smelt. We had gotten the riesling wine chicken, beef burgundy, roasted new potatoes, and green beans *I HIGHHLLYYY recommend it*. YUM. I had so many guests complimenting how wonderful the food was and how it had so much flavor. We had a good amount left over, so we gave away what we could to our guests and vendors and took the home for us to snack on over the next week.. I used it as my meal prep for the following week to avoid cooking, it was still as delicious as it was on our wedding night. Thank you so much for helping us create our vision for our big day.

Lisa and the entire Catering & Events team did such an outstanding job with our event! From concept to completion, they were extremely attentive, creative and organized. We collaborated on how to create the best menu to fit our theme and not only was it a beautiful display, but it was delicious! Lisa's expertise in the catering world was so apparent and helpful. The crew was very diligent with their time, from arrival to departure. Consistently on top of their tasks and asking to do things, not even on their "to do list", to help create a smooth experience throughout the entirety of the party. Lisa Hedrick has been catering for our museum for over 3 years and always delivers exquisite food and impeccable service. This past week however, she surpassed my expectations. On VERY short notice she created 6 hors d' oeuvres that impressed even our most discriminating foodies. Everything was fresh, tasty, and laid out beautifully. Lisa and her team catered our school’s spring gala fundraiser. The food and service they provided were incredibly delicious and like nothing we have had before at our event. They bring elegance and fine dining to your event. They also provide guidance for those who may be unsure on certain decisions, 🙋🏻‍♀️, and truly takes the worry out of your hands. The team gets in and gets to work, no hiccups whatsoever. Lisa took care of dismissing tables to the buffet and the guests didn’t have to wait in long lines. We had a buffet but the plates were served in a gourmet style exactly resembling the plate we were served at our first tasting that was prepare but Lisa. Presentation was gorgeous! The guests at our event all ranted and raved about the dinner. Lisa also has a big heart and worked to get within our budget because we are a non profit organization l. We will most definitely use Hendrick’s Catering next year!

I just wanted to start off by saying Lisa is the best!! She catered for my wedding on 12/01/18 and I had a lot of chefs(who are family and friends) come to the wedding. They all couldn’t stop talking about how delicious Lisa’s food was. They said they’ve never been to a wedding or party where they liked everything from the Hor’s Deurves to the main entree. I always like to over order food for people to get seconds. Lisa also recommended a florist and cake she works with and they were amazing as well! Her waiters were the sweetest and will definitely be hiring Lisa for any future events!

I would absolutely recommend this catering company to anyone who asks. Lisa was a life saver for me and I will never forget their services. My caterer closed their kitchen for good three weeks before my wedding leaving me more than high and dry. Lisa made me a menu that worked with the items and budget that I had and she was so wonderful throughout the entire process. I will definitely use her in the future because her custom service is top notch and the food that her company serves is well worth every penny.

Lisa did our daughters wedding Oct. of this year in Galveston. Everything was fantastic. The flowers ,food , cakes were great. We also used them for day of coordinating for the wedding. Was well worth the extra money so I didn’t gave to worry about anything. I highly recommend you to use Hedricks Catering. You won’t be disappointed.

Hedrick's Catering & Events by far exceeded my expectations for my wedding! Everything was perfect and exactly what I had envisioned for my wedding. Lisa is very nice and really takes time to understand your wants/needs. The vendors Lisa recommended were also great! And the food was very good as well. Working with Lisa & her team on a rehearsal dinner for my clients was a seamless experience. From the initial consultation to the event day, everything was handled perfectly. The food was delicious and the staff was attentive, friendly and on-point throughout the entire evening. I couldn't have asked for more!

Where do I begin? My husband (ahh husband!) is first generation Mexican. Being taco lovers, we wanted a taco station at our wedding. We had a few tastings with other vendors and the food was good, sure. But it wasn't GREAT. So, I found Hedrick's Catering and scheduled a tasting with Lisa. OMG first of all Lisa is the sweetest, most down the earth woman ever. I felt instantly comfortable and confident when speaking to her. I felt like we were being taken care of, and that's exactly what you want to feel right? When you are making such a huge decision for your wedding, you want to feel like you are being taken care of. Well, we were. Now to the food! Remember how I said my husband is first gen Mexican? Well, we tried chicken fajita tacos and O M G! The tortillas were so good! Like HEB good. My husband loved them, as soon as we left he told me, "we are booking her" Now comes the wedding, Lisa helped me with my floorplan layout- something that she does not have to do but wanted to because she wanted my wedding to be perfect! Everyone loved the food, literally raves. Her staff was so professional! They look sharp and act it as well. I am so thankful to Hedrick's catering for the service they provided. A huge reason why our wedding was so great, is because of her. Book with Lisa, you will thank me when you do!

I just got engaged and had no idea where to start for planning my wedding. I contacted Lisa and she has been so amazing to work with. Our daughter was married this past July at Big Sky Barn in Montgomery, Texas. Lisa Hedrick and her catering company catered our event. Let me just say, everything looked and tasted spectacular! Several of our guests stopped me and commented on the savory food and several even stopped Lisa and her staff and asked for business cards. Her attention to detail and perfection really won my heart over. Her staff was VERY professional and attended to our every need. I would use Hedrick's Catering again in a heartbeat!

From the moment we met her it was obvious she was going to be our caterer and wedding planner. Lisa had wonderful ideas to suggest to us including where the altar should be for our home wedding. She helped us put together a diverse menu for diverse palette. Even several gluten-free morsels. She arrived promptly and was set up before the party started. Everyone raved about the food they still are. At the end of the night there was nothing left! I highly recommend her, her company and anyone she suggests. She kept my wife calm. Lisa had everything Under control and we didn’t even notice she was there!

Let us just start out by saying, i didn't want to plan a wedding.... My daughter Whitney has been in so many weddings so she found Lisa Hedrick on The Knot. Before Whitney found Lisa I had a photographer and that was it. Lisa was punctual to our appointments. Lisa showed us pictures of previous venus she catered for and we were very impressed. ** We did NOT have a sampling!!!!! *** We trusted her right away. She has such a calming effect. She asked if we had a florist. We did not! She asked if we needed decorations. We still did need decorations. Lisa gave us the contact information to someone who did BOTH! We needed a bartender and valets. Lisa has dependable people for that too. The day of the wedding. LISA kept me from becoming Bridezilla! She had everything under control! Lisa lined up the bridal party and gave us a plan. It was flawless. She loves her job! She has fun and she is so dang nice! We went to Hawaii for our honeymoon. When I returned to the hospital where I work, the people who went to our wedding raved about the food! It was beautifully displayed and delicious. I trusted her and my wedding was beautiful! I can not say enough great things about Lisa Hedrick. I will have her cater my parties everytime!

Where do I start? The Food! The Food! The Food was like we were dining at an upscale boutique restaurant but with 150 of our closest family and friends. Chef Lisa Hedrick's has a market on couture catering and is a one stop shop with her excellent resource of decor, floral and lighting suppliers. This process was so easy and took tons of stress of my Brides shoulders and I. I cant say enough about the professionalism and the kind warm hearted sincerity of all the vendors. Chef Lisa Hedrick's is by far a Hidden Gem is the Houston/Woodlands and Galveston markets. Simply the most beautiful day of our lives, thanks for Hedrick's Catering!

The wedding was beautifully decorated. This is the first wedding I've been to with such vibrant and unique decor. The food was DELICIOUS, I must say hats off to Hedrick's Catering. In all I was impressed with the entire event. I will certainly recommend this catering to all my friends and family for their future needs.

Lisa and her staff were absolutely wonderful for our daughter's wedding. She was so professional and so helpful, and the event was just beautiful because of her. She is so professional and so on-point; she tied all the details together. Everyone commented on how pretty the tables were, and the food was amazing, everyone loved the appetizers! I just can't say enough good things about Hedrick's Catering, and will definitely be using them for future events!

Pros: Great queality food, good pricing. Cons: Make sure you get the pricing agreed on in writing from the get go. I was quoted three different prices through out the whole process - even after we had agreed on a set price. After a lot of back and forth I finally got the pricing I agreed on in the beginning. Also, the day of the wedding, the wrong side was served with the main meal. Pretty upsetting since you take time to choose the perfect meal for you day, but it didn't matter at that point. Main thing I learned from this experiment: get every single detail in writing, even conversations if possible because that's the only way you can assure you get what you're paying for.

I had the pleasure of allowing Lisa to cater an open house I hosted for my husband's medical office. She absolutely nailed it. Her food was delicious, her service, impeccable and Lisa and Her staff were kind, courteous and professional. I am looking forward to using your company for my next party! P.S. those empanadas..... wow!

Lisa and her team are AMAZING. I strongly believe that if you do not choose Lisa, you are crazy!! She absolutely saved our wedding. We switched to her about 6 weeks before our wedding due to issues with our previous vendor. Lisa more than stepped up and exceeded all of our expectations. We used her for our day-of coordinator, décor, and flowers. Our wedding was STUNNING. I cannot even begin to tell you how many guests have told me that it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to, and it’s not a lie, it was INCREDIBLE!! My jaw dropped when I saw it for the first time! Lisa kept everything running smoothly, even when we were running behind because pictures took longer than expected, I did not have to worry, she helped reorganize the scheduled and more importantly, reassured me that everything was fine! Lisa was such a pleasure to work with, she quickly became more like a friend and I will miss our chats! She truly did as much as she could to make our wedding week as stress-free as possible and to make our wedding better than the wedding of my dreams! Thank you THANK YOU Lisa!

Hedrick's Catering & Events is absolutely amazing! Lisa and her team are the best. I got married a couple of months ago and Lisa did the food for my wedding, decor, and day of coordination. Every bit of my wedding was exactly what I thought it would be but so so much more and Lisa had a huge part in that. I thoroughly enjoyed working with her. She is professional but so personable, relatable, and kind. The food at my wedding was delicious and the decor was beautiful. Everything ran so smoothly and on time with her coordinating that day. I was not worried one bit. My friend got married last weekend and Lisa did all rentals, decor, flowers, and day of coordination. It was breathtaking and beautiful! It is without a doubt that I would recommend Hedrick's Catering and Events to anyone and everyone. She can do almost everything you need for your big day and it will turn out amazing, no questions asked. We used Lisa and her team for catering and the day of coordinating for our wedding. Lisa was amazingly helpful from the very first phone call we had. I honestly would have been a wreck planning all the details if I did not have the help of her and her team. She also referred me to Party Props for all my rentals and floral's who office in the same place as her. They were also life savers!!!! If I had to do it all over again I would go right back and start with Lisa and her team! The food was amazing and customized, the communication was on point and the customer service was over and beyond!

By far the best food and service ever literally

The food was amazing. All my guests had so many positive things to say about it. It was so good many went back for seconds. We had lasagna and chicken alfredo. Makes my mouth water just writing the review.

Lisa was absolutely wonderful. Not only was the food great she also helped me get decorations,tables and chairs.Everyone was raving about the food!!I was down to two months before the wedding and had nothing really planned. Lisa referred me to someone to do my decorations. Her advice and knowledge saved my wedding. I can honeslty say I had my dream wedding!! Thank you so much!!!

From the very start Lisa took care of everything. I just told her what I wanted and she did all the hard work! The BBQ at my wedding was absolutely delicious. Everything from the set up to serving and busting the tables and serving the cake they all did an amazing job!

She was nice, and the cake looked wonderful.;The icing was like paste, and the flavour wasn't that great on the wedding cake. The groom's cake, though, we heard was delicious. Also, they didn't apply the rose petals the way they were supposed to.
