Henderson Beach State Park

It is my pleasure to work with so many incredible couples planning their destination beach weddings at Henderson Beach State Park on a daily basis. I do my best to answer all questions, present real expectations and refer them to incredible wedding planners for our area. Unfortunately, I had run into some delays a couple months ago with responding to emails and calls due to some phone/internet outages and my sons emergency surgery. I felt horrible for the delays and apologized to all of the clients with my sincetest regret. Obviously, I have clients that have a vision of what they would like for Hosting their reception at one of the parks outdoor pavilions adjacent to their ceremony area. I do my best to be honest, sincere and helpful so they are in no way disappointed on their special day. Sometimes their vision and expectations are unattainable For a state park pavilion. Perhaps I offer too much information to them, however it is done with all the best intentions. My goal is to assist all couples with coordinating their dream wedding and reception on such an amazing beach and a outdoor open aired beach pavilion. Perhaps in the past I have been too straight forward or upfront when they inquire about options and ideas that I feel might not be attainable and do not want them to walk into their reception at the pavilion expecting chandeliers, luxury table seating and tool hanging from floor to ceiling that you would expect to find in a high end resort and not a state park pavilion. The receptions at Henderson have been amazing and most couples welcome the information and guidance, especially since they are planning their dream wedding and reception from hundreds of miles away. I am no expert by any means, only sharing information based off of previous events held at the park and pavilions. I assure you for any one negative comment you will come across, you will find many more positive comments from couples that appreciated the information, references and being honest & straight forward. If you are looking for a On-Site Coordinator that will over embellish and tell you all of your ideas and expectations will be attainable for your pavilion reception, then Anne Marie with Henderson Beach State Park is not your person. However, if you would prefer upfront answers to your questions, realistic expectations, and honest feedback to Try and ensure your reception is not a disappointment when you arrive for your special day, she will be the person to contact and do her best to direct you to the best wedding companies and vendors to attain your vision and dreams. I encourage and appreciate all of the clients feedback, positive or negative. This feedback is the only way we can strive to modify, change, and improve upon What exists currently so every Couples special wedding day is everything they anticipated or expected and so much more. It is my sincerest pleasure working with so many incredible couples from all over.

Henderson Beach State Park is beautiful; however, the event coordinator, Anne, is extremely difficult to work with. My experience has been consumed by misinformation, lack of response when attempting to communicate after numerous efforts, and a failure to follow through on previous details discussed. I am highly disappointed in her services. If you are planning a DIY event, she is not the person you want to work with. When she does respond, she is quick to force her opinion about what you need and don't need. If you are renting a pavilion, they should make sure that all services per unit are equal, if everyone is paying the same price.

Yes, yes, yes to Henderson. What a beautiful and natural place to get married. Our wedding surpassed our expectations and whenever I need to feel calm, all I have to do is take a look at our wedding photos with Henderson Beach in the background. Anne Marie was extremely helpful and is such a sweet lady! She will assist you with coordinating your wedding and/or reception and goes ABOVE and beyond. Guests were pleased, vendors love the park...it was just a WIN!

Great team to work with, perfect location for a beach set wedding. If you do your reception there you have the breeze all night with perfect backdrop and ambience. Do expect to hire a planner or DIY. We did DIY and did okay. We rented all day. We only wish we could have stayed longer, have to be out by 10pm.

We got married at Henderson Beach State Park in mid-October. Leading up to the wedding, Carolyn was very helpful both on the phone and over email and answered all my questions. We were able to rent a pavilion during the day and after hours so we decorated with lights and flowers early in the day. We got married on the beach just before sunset and then had the reception in the pavilion. After dark, you are allowed to have alcohol in the pavilion. The beach was gorgeous and the pavilion was beautiful with white lights strung from the beams. In addition, the ranger we had was very nice but completely unobtrusive during the reception. The whole venue was VERY affordable and we had a great time!

Book this place one year out for openings it books fast! Carolyn Williams was wonderful in helping organize my special day. The rangers made sure no one uninvited joined in on the festivities as it is at a public beach.the! value was more than worth it

Henderson beach state park is absolutely beautiful. I can't imagine a more beautiful and convenient place for a beach wedding. Very simple to reserve!

The Henderson beach state park was beautiful and very clean. Even though others were on the beach it still felt like it was just us. And the rental precious is cheap!

This was a great location for our beach wedding! The sand was clear and the water was amazing. We also have our rehearsal dinner there in a pavilion the night before the wedding and it was so much fun. I would highly recommend this site for a beach wedding! The cost was under a 1,000 for the wedding to be held there and for the rehearsal dinner!
