Heritage Hall by Heritage Event Spaces is a wedding venue in Liberty, MO. Situated between the walkable, tree-lined streets of the Dougherty Historic District and the late-19th and early-20th-century architecture of Liberty's downtown square, this magnificent 1920s-era building is an architectural gem and the perfect setting for the celebration of a lifetime.
Heritage Hall hosts wedding ceremonies and receptions. The venue can accommodate up to 200 ceremony guests, 300 for a seated dinner, and up to 500 in a theater-style arrangement. Heritage Hall's proximity to several fabulous hotels and the interstate makes it an attractive destination, whether you live in town or are traveling into the city from somewhere out of state.
Heritage Hall by Heritage Event Spaces is available for exclusive use. Your rental fee includes tables and chairs for up to 300 guests and a choice of white, black, or ivory linens. Heritage Hall has an open catering policy; you are welcome to bring in alcohol, but it must be entirely contained in the bar area and served by the venue's in-house team of bartenders.

Heritage Hall was absolutely perfect for our wedding reception! Working with Joe was a complete delight as he was incredibly responsive, receptive, and professional. The space was set up exactly how we wanted it and there was never any confusion. There was plenty of parking for guests. Our wedding reception dreams came true with this venue!
We used the Medallion Theater and 1923 Room for our Halloween wedding, after losing our original venue to COVID. Joe and Sarah showed us the space, offered a great price, and were accommodating of all of our requests. They were responsive and helpful throughout the entire planning process. The wedding was perfect! We'd happily host an event here again!
We held our ceremony and reception at the 1923 Room with Heritage Event Spaces. It was an incredibly gorgeous, very spacious venue through and through with the most perfect ambience, and they were so kind and amazingly easy to work with. I recommend them, absolutely!

My Husband and I had our Rehearsal Dinner, Ceremony, and Reception at Brookside Gardens. We couldn't have been happier with it all. Joe was very easy to communicate with, and helped us out with seating and making sure I got the full room flip that I wanted!
We just had our wedding in the Armour Loft, and it was the perfect venue for us! Joe and his wife were so helpful and friendly, they made the planning process a little easier for us. Everyone adored the Loft, we got so many compliments about it! Thank you to the Dugdales for giving us a beautiful and affordable venue for our big day.
We were recently married at the Royal Room at Briarcliff. The venue was perfect for our wedding of approximately 200. Everything was set up exactly as we discussed and Joe and his staff were extremely helpful with the entire process. Our day could not have been more perfect, and Joe and his team were definitely a crucial part of this!
I’ve worked at a couple of Heritage Event Spaces venues as a photographer and LOVE working with their team. We had our ceremony and reception at Heritage Hall in Liberty, MO. The venue is absolutely beautiful and we received so many complements on it! I can't say enough great things about the staff though, from the owner to the bartenders, everyone is so kind and helpful. You won't be disappointed to work with Joe. I hope we can use one of their venues for an event in the future!
We had both our ceremony and reception at Plexpod Westport Commons. The venue was beautiful and Joe and Kelsey were wonderful. We had a last minute issue come up and they were so great in working with us to resolve it so that our big day would still be just as perfect. They were great at communicating with us throughout the entire process. And I can't recommend enough to go with the all-inclusive option - the food was amazing and the beverages were flowing! It made things so much easier on us. I can't imagine spending the most important day of our lives anywhere else!
We loved the space! Westport Commons was absolutely amazing. For the most part, Kelsey and Joe were helpful, but we had an ongoing issue where we felt like we weren't getting direct answers to our questions, which was frustrating. Overall, it did not affect the event at all and I would recommend Heritage. Just know that you'll have to be direct with them at times in order to plan your event well.
We had our wedding at Brookside Gardens last weekend. I cannot say enough great things about this venue or the staff! Kelsey and Joe were so great to work with! The bartending staff was amazing as well and even ran an errand to get more liquor for us when we ran out! The space is beautiful and the bridal suite is so perfect for getting ready for a wedding! I would give them 10 stars if I could.
Monarch Room
Right when my husband and I visited the Monarch Room, we knew it had to be the venue for our wedding. I'll be honest, part of me thought it looked a little run down in spaces but once all the tables, decor, and flowers were set up, it was BEAUTIFUL. It was the wedding of our dreams. The view of KC was outstanding. I loved working with Joe. He was extremely sweet and responsive. I am so thankful I chose the Monarch Room...it helped make my wedding the wedding of my dreams!
Choosing to hold our reception at one of the Heritage Event Spaces was such a great decision. Joe and Kelsey were so easy to work with and very helpful throughout our entire planning process. I could genuinely tell they wanted our event to be perfect for us and all of our guests. The open vendor policy was great, we had more control over the rest of our wedding budget. We highly recommend!
Our wedding was held at Brookside Gardens in June 2018. Everything was absolutely perfect, in part due to this beautiful space and the assistance of Joe and his wife. They were willing to meet with various members of our family and wedding party to answer any and all of our questions as we approached the wedding which was a huge help as we were planning from out of town. Joe was flexible and accommodating with his time and their space. We opted for an Oscar Style ceremony and the room was flipped without getting in the way of a cocktail hour. Also, our wedding day was HOT! (high of 98 and humid) but Brookside Gardens was cool enough for all of our guests to enjoy hours of dancing. It is a beautiful space and is ran well by Joe. Working with Heritage Event Spaces made our wedding planning a piece of cake! Initially we met with Kelsey who humored me (miss indecisive), taking us around to various Heritage Event Spaces (all beautiful and unique). We fell in love with the 1923 Room as the Westport Plexpod Commons. Kelsey and Joe were so easy to work with, very attentive, answered any and all questions we had, and kept in touch throughout the months leading up to the wedding to make sure everyone was on the same speed. A final meeting was done in person and it was reassuring to know that everything was planned out and ready to go ahead of time. The event space itself was great. Our guests raved about it! We would definitely recommend Heritage Event Spaces to anyone looking for a unique KC venue with a staff that has your best interest in mind. It was affordable, they provided tables and tablecloths, were onsite the day of, and again were just so easy and fun to work with. Can’t go wrong with them!
We had our reception at The 1923 Room at the plexpod location in Westport. They were so flexible with us, and Kelsey was a huge help in planning. Our communication was email only, so be prepared for that. You'll want to have this booked and mostly prepared before the busy summer months, but they make information readily available, so there aren't many questions left to ask, anyway.
The space is gorgeous. We seated just under 300 people with room for a dance floor (we also didn't have a DJ taking up room, though). You can expect the space to be clean, they have room for crowd flow options, a kitchen for you to use, and plenty of bathrooms. We had so much fun, and we didn't have to worry about anything the day of the wedding.
Joe & Kelsey are awesome!! Seriously loved working with them. We had our wedding reception at the Monarch Room in Crossroads district and we just loved the space so much. It really is a blank canvas - loved creating in it! They were also extremely flexible with our designs and things we wanted to do (like hanging a huge sign behind the bar).
The only reason I gave it three stars is because you are required to work with PM bartending and Platinum DJ. I didn't have the best scenario with the DJ, but Ryan with Platinum is honestly amazing with customer service and definitely made it right!! However, PM Bartending I had a terrible experience with (rude to guests, handed a full bottle of champagne over the counter to a drunk girl who then gashed her leg, drinking our alcohol without permission) and they still never apologized, only made up excuses and lies. Working in the industry, it was beyond shocking at their customer service and how they handled it.
Aside from that, Heritage Event Spaces is something I would definitely recommend to customers (I coordinate weddings), I would just warn them about the bartending company.

I recently had my ceremony and reception at the Monarch Room in the Crossroads. The venue is a perfect space with string lights, beautiful windows looking out to KC and a wonderful staff. I worked with Kelsey and Joe and they answered ALL my crazy questions and were happy to let me view the space multiple times. Cherry on top of this wonderful venue is the ability to bring in your own caterer and beverages. This definitely helps the pocketbook! OH! And tables and linens are also included. I didn't realize that a lot of venues don't include these things. The only thing I would consider after you book with The Monarch Room is not having a guestbook/gifts by the doors that also go to Tapcade next door. We unfortunately had some stuff stolen (which is no fault of Heritage), I just want to save somebody else the disappointment. :) Thank you again so much Kelsey and Joe for being amazing!!!
We had our wedding at Heritage Hall and could not have been happier! Joe and his wife were very easy to work with and made wedding planning easier! The room is so beautiful that minimal decor is needed. We had about 280 guests we had more than enough room for everyone. The location is in beautiful downtown Liberty and is within walking distance to great locations for outdoor pictures. I highly recommend getting married here!
We had our reception at the Monarch Room and it was beautiful! The Crossroads location makes for the perfect downtown area venue! The staff at the Monarch were there to help us every step of the way! It was the perfect location!
The Monarch Room was perfect for our wedding! Joe was so wonderful and helpful. My husband is active duty military, and Joe went out of his way to help us change our date more than once. We felt like he truly cared about us as a couple, not just as part of a business. I would highly recommend any of the Heritage Event Spaces for brides who want this and for the planning process to be easier, as all the caterers have worked there and they include ceremony venues, DJs, and bartenders so you don't need to search for your own. I was extremely stressed planning our wedding, so it truly helped me to not need to think about those extra decisions. It was almost like having a wedding planner without the extra cost. The staff was very helpful the night before and day of, and always available to answer questions. The space is beautiful in pictures as well! Five stars, no question.
We used The Monarch Room for our reception venue and it was STUNNING. Not only was the staff helpful during our whole planning process but they were there for us during the whole day. I would highly recommend them!
We were so happy to have celebrated our marriage at Brookside Gardens! Joe was great to work with, and the space was lovely.
My fiancé and I looked at about 10 different venues. We were limited by the need to bring in our own alcohol, have a downtown location (more a need than a want) and accommodate 300 people made our search a bit challenging. We were initially drawn to the Monarch Room because of its simplicity and the ability to transform it in to whatever we envisioned. The beautiful view of downtown while still being a first floor venue was a rare find. What put the venue as a 5 Star experience for us, in the end was the staff. Joe and his team were professional, friendly and most importantly very easy to work and communicate with. Our day could not have been more perfect. From being flexible with our Wedding Planner, to all of our multiple deliveries of cake, flowers and alcohol over the course of the weekend it could not have been easier. I had a small Bridezilla moment on the day of the event and the Monarch Room staff dealt with my tiny meltdown flawlessly and handled every request I made. I could not have asked for a better venue or group of people to have worked with. If you chose any of the many Heritage Event spaces, it will be a truly incredible experience.
The space is great if you're looking for something with character, easy parking, reasonably priced and an easy going owner. The space has a great historic feel, beautiful fireplace and nice windows. There a few items that need attention like cobwebs in some of the windows, the ceiling could stand to be painted black to help hide the insulation and give it a more sophisticated feel, but overall it's a nice space. We had about 145 total people, which fit nicely in the space and still allowed a good size dance floor. However, I can't imagine fitting much above 150 in the space even though the site says there's room for 200 - it would be very tight. Joe, the owner, is laid back and open to a bride's vision. Unfortunately, he's spread so thin with his many venues that he was often off his game - mixed up meeting dates, forgot to unlock doors, miscommunication with the bartenders, etc. But, he did act quickly to correct all situations. I would recommend this venue.
The perfect venue for a beautiful, intimate wedding! This venue is wonderful because they allow you to do whatever you want for catering, bring your own alcohol and do your own decorating. They helped make it the Best Day Ever!! Thank you Armour Loft!
We had our reception at the Monarch Room in KC crossroads district and WOW! We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful venue or for more support from Joe and his wife; they accommodated every request we had. I am still getting so many compliments on the space, and it didn't take much work at all on our end to make it look PERFECT. Cozy and intimate space in the heart of beautiful downtown scenery.

We had our wedding 11-28-15 at Brookside Gardens and the whole experience was lovely. The room has a warm feeling but it's open so everyone was together celebrating all night.

We had our reception at Brookside Gardens and loved it! Our guests enjoyed dancing indoors on the large dance floor, and cooling off on the beautiful back deck. And we loved working with Joe! He was always quick to respond to our e-mails, and went above and beyond on our wedding day when we had a slight issue! We were very excited to book The Monarch Room for our wedding reception. He answered my questions quickly and was very helpful. The week before our reception their kegerator broke, so Joe figured out a solution for us which worked great. It's a great venue and a fun location. Our photos came out beautiful as well. The one thing that I was a little worried about was that there was a "bigger" party at one of their other spaces, so we had a brand new person working our event, but he did very well. It just felt kind of like we weren't as important because we didn't have as many guests or needs as another event that was on the same evening. The person that ended up running our event did a wonderful job, though and was there to help us with anything we asked.
The Monarch Room:
I planned a wedding while living in a different state. We booked at the Monarch Room before I was able to see it in person but the pictures my family sent made me fall in love with the space. I was anxious about not being able to see it in person but with a prime location in the Crossroad District I knew I had to act fast and book our date. When I finally got to see the venue in person I was so pleased! I loved the rich wood in the space, the large floor to ceiling windows, and the smooth dance floor.
Joe, the owner, is fantastic to work with. He was very prompt answering all of my emails. Also he has established quite the network of quality vendors to partner with. Off his recommendation I found our church, caterer, DJ, and bartender. Located at 17th & McGee the block is a one stop shop for so many of your bridal needs. There is a church, salon, DJ and Screenland Theater with full service bar and restaurant. Parking downtown is very limited, but Joe has made sure there is plenty of parking available near the venue. We had the ceremony at New City Life Church and our guests only had to walk 150ft to attend the reception at The Monarch Room. The venue is also very close to the P&L District.
Now that the wedding is over, I look at pictures and I am still so pleased with our location. The Monarch Room photographed beautifully! We had several guests compliment us on the venue. The Bridal Prep Room was incredibly useful to store products and freshen up during the night for myself and my bridesmaids.

After looking at several "raw" loft spaces in Kansas City, I came across Armour Loft. Slightly more affordable than many spaces downtown, Armour allows outside alcohol and catering, which was a huge plus for us. The owner Joe was very accommodating and met with us several times before the wedding to finalize logistics. The space was beautiful and decorated beautifully; our guests had a GREAT time!
We had our reception at the BEAUTIFUL Monarch Room. The space was absolutely perfect for our event, and all our guests remarked at how pretty it was.
Many thanks to Joe for getting our reception off without a hitch. We booked late, as our previous venue had major issues, and he helped everything run very smoothly. We are so appreciative.
The Monarch Room was our perfect wedding reception location! We loved the aesthetic of the space and the location. It looks especially beautiful at night with all the lights and windows overlooking the beautiful KC skyline. The space has the perfect amount of detail while still allowing you to add our own personal touches. The best part is, Joe is absolutely awesome to work with! He will make sure your event is perfect. He was so attentive throughout the entire process and was even there on our special day to 'check-in'. Our guests could not stop complimenting how beautiful and fun the venue was. Cannot say enough great things about The Monarch Room!
We got married at The Monarch Room on 10/03/2015, and it was the best day of our lives! Joe and his team are wonderful! They made our day as carefree as possible. The space is beautiful and we were so relaxed the whole time because Joe took such good care of us! It was actually perfect that they had suggested vendors to use with the venue because it was less work I had to do to find vendors. We even had the ceremony at New Life City Church, which is walking distance from The Monarch Room, so guests only had to park downtown once and that was all coordinated through Joe too. The view from the Monarch Room is wonderful and all our guests had an amazing time! I would recommend the Monarch Room to anyone getting married or just looking for a venue for a party! This was by far the easiest decision we had to make regarding the wedding!!! So much fun!

My daughter had her wedding there June 26th of this year. It was a wonderful experience.Joe is awesome. I would highly recommend this venue. I is a beautiful venue with the draping and lights at no additional charge.
After having our previous venue change locations on us 3 months before our wedding, my husband and I thought we would have to postpone our wedding. Thankfully we came across a beautiful location in NKC (Armour Loft) that still had our date available! Joe was such a great owner to work with and made sure everything was perfect for our special day (June 27th). He even gave us a discount after already losing so much money from our previous venue. My family and I were so grateful for his help and ability to accommodate many of our different needs.
I will recommend any of these venue spaces for a wedding & reception any day! Thank you Joe & Ann!
We opted to have our wedding ceremony in the theatre and reception in the loft space. Both spaces made for such a memorable event. Joe from Heritage Event Space and Brent from Screenland were both super easy to work with and offered timely responses to any and all questions and concerns. The theatre is an amazing piece of art in itself (and NKC history) and as our guests said, "made for the most unique wedding ever attended".
We were married at Heritage Hall in September and loved the venue! The best part was the amount of space. We ended up having 50 more people RSVP that they were coming than we expected and it was such a relief to have enough space. Joe who owns the location is very helpful and accommodating. We would definitely recommend this location!
We held our wedding reception at Armour Lofts (next to the Screenland Theater) which is also owned by Heritage Hall. We loved the hardwood floors and open-beam ceilings. We received lots of compliments on the venue appearance from our guests and photographer.
Joe was great to work with. He answered all of our questions and let us stop by a few times before the wedding when we were designing our centerpieces. The tables, chairs and linens were included in the price and were also set up and taken down for us. It was nice to have a few less items and vendors to worry about. The space was available to us for the entire day so we didn't have to do any last-minute decorating and that relieved a lot of wedding day stress.
Another great benefit of using these venues is the built-in stereo systems. They are able to control speaker volume in various parts of the room. Grandma can sit at the back table and chat while the dance floor is getting crazy. After attending over 8 weddings last summer, we realized what an amazing asset this would be!
It's a very modern, unique space and a great value for your money. We would definitely recommend working with Joe and the Heritage company!
I was looking for a place with an urban look and feel, but without the price tag of most of the venues in the city. Joe was great and easy to work with. I love that you can bring your own food vendors and get a discount on dj services. People loved the spot, it was unique and an absolute blast!

Located right on the square of Liberty, MO this was a excellent location for a ceremony/reception. It also provided excellent photo opportunities for my bride and I. The owners are great people who went above and beyond what we expected!
Heritage Hall was the perfect place for my wedding reception! We had about 230 guests, and there was still plenty of room for the dj, photobooth (which we rented from Heritage Hall), two buffet lines, bar, cake table, and dance floor! Joe, the owner, was always a phone call away, and had great suggestions for other vendors. We had a Saturday wedding, and were able to set everything up friday night after the rehearsal dinner.
Joe (Heritage's owner) and his wife were FABULOUS in helping my husband and I through the wedding process. The venue was in great condition and fit our style perfectly. Once we found Heritage Hall, we were able to quit stressing about things quite as much. Joe allowed me to text, call, and email him as often as I needed to answer my questions, and any time we talked, he would make sure I was as stress free as possible. He also helped us to find some other vendors for other parts of our wedding, and was just way more helpful than I ever could have imagined (no joke). This venue and its staff were really a dream come true for my husband and I. Plus, we both grew up in Liberty, so it's location on the square was a nice added bonus. I have 0 regrets about using this venue, and could not be happier with the service we encountered. AMAZING!! :)
We loved working with Heritage Hall in Liberty. The venue was great and the owners went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. They allow you to bring in your own caterer, bartenders etc, and have great recommendations of who to use. I also highly recommend doing the photo booth they offer.

Heritage Hall is a beautiful stone building located near the Expocentre. It has such a romantic feel to it, that can easily be dressed up or down to fit your taste.
The great thing about Heritage Hall is that you can make your own choices on catering, beverages, decorations, etc. They are open to use of any outside vendors.
A couple of negatives include the costs and red tape. While renting the venue is inexpensive, you have to pay for a coordinator to be there at all times as well as security officials. This becomes pricey.
It was wonderful to be able to have our ceremony in the theatre and the reception right upstairs. There was an elevator for my grandparents and lots of space. We did the catering and an open bar all through the site and the manager also got our linens and plates. We used table decorations from the theatre which were old movie reels and we were able to use the florist next door. The staff were very helpful and easy to work with. This location made planning very simple and the reviews from our guests was that it was one of the most fun and unique weddings!
We used this location because there was no 4 hour time limit you find with traditional wedding venues. We had to do everything ourselves, the reception site did not include anything but the venue, tables, chairs and linens.
This venue is not that far from downtown and working with Bryan was great. The staff at the Screenland took great care of us. The venue itself has beautiful hard wood floors, a cool loft cieling and already decorated with lights. I could not have been happier with our venue.
Wonderful place to hold a reception. Joe was great to work with and very helpful. They are very flexible and allow you to bring in your own vendors for food, alcohol, flowers etc. The space is large and can hold a big crowd.
