Kelly and the rest of her team were absolutely amazing!! Every hiccup she handled it so swiftly and behind the scenes we didn’t skip a beat. Our external wedding coordinator was making mistakes left and right but Heritage Hunt was amazing and keeping the program going. Even with a rain plan!

We had the pleasure of working with Cary, the marketing director, who answered questions and booked the venue, and Kelly, the event coordinator, who did everything to make our day amazing! They were both super helpful and pleasant, promptly responding to any questions we had. The venue is very nice and in my opinion was a great value, as it included a lot of things so that I didn't have to worry about them day of the wedding. Kelly worked with us throughout the whole wedding planning process to help us make our day truly special. We loved the food and would recommend this venue!

First of all, this venue is beautiful. We booked the Blue Ridge and Mountain View rooms for our vents, with the hope that we could have the wedding outside. November 4 can be really hot or really cold. Thankfully, we were able to make the event happen outside! It was a huge relief to know that we only needed to give them a four hour notice if we wanted to move inside.
Kelly helped me through all of the challenges leading up to the big day. She was able to answer all of the questions that we had. Her staff had everything set up beautifully and the food is incredible!
At the tasting, my now-husband and I were so impressed and excited. Many people commented about the incredible food. The event ran very smoothly from the rehearsal to the sendoff. I can’t say enough great things about Heritage Hunt! Definitely book them before they fill up!!

I recently hosted a bridal shower at Heritage Hunt, and everything was absolutely amazing! The sales team made everything so easy for us, and they were so accomodating with everything we asked. The room we used was setup so beautifully by their staff when we walked in, plus the room had just been renovated and was lovely on its own! The food was delicious, and we had such a huge variety on the brunch buffet. We have received nothing but raving comments from the guests who attended. Thank you all for making her shower so special!

Cary and Kelly worked seamlessly throughout the process from booking to wedding reception. We chose to have the rehearsal dinner and wedding/wedding reception at Heritage Hunt. Each event was prepared beautifully and meticulously monitored by Kelly to be sure we would have a perfect wedding. Everything exceeded our expectations. Cary gave us a list of possible vendors for flowers, DJ, cake, etc., so we didn't have to spend time searching reliable sources. Our wedding weekend was perfect, largely due to these professional, friendly, very responsive ladies. Oh, and the chef -- excellent!

The anniversary party we had last week at Heritage hunt went flawlessly and everyone commented on the venue, the great food, and the fun! In addition to the dinner and drinks set ups - they accommodated a 6 piece band with ease, had our signature cocktails ready, moved in chairs for our not-so newlywed game, and made room for little children to have a place to play in a separate room. We ended the night with drinks on the veranda! It was a special party at ta greet venue. Kudos to Kelly for helping us at every stage. Highly recommended.

On July 5th I had a Celebration of Life luncheon for my recently deceased sister. I contacted Cary Muirhead and Kelly Stanger, the event management staff there at HH for assistance in organizing this.
They were both extremely responsive, professional and caring at a very difficult time, and made everything very easy. From the menu to setting up the room, to displaying a number of pictures and other personal items for me, everything was perfect. Many thanks to Cary and Kelly!!!
In addition, Ashley, who was at the bar, and the rest of the staff were outstanding. I highly recommend this organization.

We highly recommend that you choose Heritage Hunt (HH) Golf and Country Club for your wedding! We held two events during our wedding weekend at HH. On Friday, we had our rehearsal dinner at HH's Marsh Mansion (approx. 60 guests; for dinner, the Italian buffet; for dessert, the most delicious chocolate cake). On Saturday, we had our ceremony outdoors at the Knoll, we used the Mountain View Card Room and Billiards Room for our cocktail hour, and we had our reception in the Great Oak Ballroom (approx. 130 guests; apps including crab dip, hummus, egg rolls, and bacon wrapped pineapple; dinner including steak and salmon duet plates (or vegan pasta), salad, green beans, and red potatoes; and a full bar with his/her signature drinks).
There's plenty of reasons we'd recommend HH - the beautiful outdoor ceremony space, the picturesque photo spots including the Oak tree and balconies, the delicious food, and a spacious reception room that's perfect for your party with its large stage and dance floor. But the biggest reason we'd recommend HH is the staff. From the moment we toured HH with Cary Muir, we felt comfortable and excited. Cary explained all of our options, gave real life examples of past events, and demonstrated HH's adaptability to meet our goals. After booking our events, we soon began working with Kelly Stanger, who organized our rehearsal dinner and wedding. Kelly is incredibly detail-oriented, creative, supportive, efficient, responsive, and so funny/kind! For both events, she met with us on multiple occasions to plan, spoke to us via email and phone to answer all of our questions in-between, and was on-site to handle all day-of details. From start to finish, Kelly just made everything easier, and she was always right there when we needed help or an issue arose. Our bridal party and family commented to us that they loved working with Kelly, too. We were honestly really sad to say goodbye to her when the weekend was over. A wedding is a once-in-a-lifetime event, and it's hard to plan because you've never done it before, and there's literally so much to do! Right now, as you begin to plan, you might be thinking how much you need pretty flowers or to achieve a certain aesthetic, but we believe, based on our experience, that what you really need is support, reliability, and experience from your vendor team to give you a day you can just ENJOY. HH and its staff will give you that (and bonus: you'll also get great food, pretty pictures, and plenty of space to party). We hope you choose HH, too!

Heritage Hunt is an incredible venue for a wedding! After touring several different venues, Heritage Hunt stood out with the professionalism of its staff, cleanliness, above average quality of the catering, and reasonable prices. The wedding coordinator, Kelly Stanger, is an exceptional professional and went above and beyond to help us plan our event. She is very responsive over email and was so nice even though we asked a million questions! We knew it was a good sign when all our vendors told us that Heritage Hunt is their favorite venue to work with. You will definitely not be disappointed if you choose this place!

Kelly and her team was invaluable to us (as parents of the bride) in planning the reception and the bridal shower. The venue was gorgeous, the staff was exceptionally professional and helpful with every step of the process, and the food was delicious! We are so thrilled we used Heritage Hunt for our daughter's wedding reception. They included many extras such as gold chargers, mirrored rounds for centerpieces, ruffled table linens for head table, projector, and table numbers. Kelly kept everything running smoothly on the big day, and was there at the very end to check on us and make sure we didn't need anything else before she left. 100% recommend this venue!

My husband and I held our reception at Heritage Hunt and it was AMAZING!! We were looking for a reception that was reasonably priced for the large amount of people that were there. The food was priced fairly and it was delicious. We did not hire a wedding planner for our wedding and Heritage Hunt made it so easy for me as a bride. Jackie and Kelly took care of every detail for us and were there on our wedding day to make sure everything went so smoothly.

Kelly and Jackie were amazing! They took care to make sure our wedding reception was everything we wanted it to be, made sure we were kept up to date and in the loop about every detail in the planning process, and made the whole pre-wedding planning so easy and stress-free. We always felt like we were in good hands and that they both truly cared about our wedding day. The day of our wedding they were there to assist with coordinating all of the reception details, even arranging our bulk flowers in the table vases and assisting us and our photographer with getting our photos taken on the grounds. Heritage Hunt was a beautiful venue for our wedding reception and the staff and service were great - we had nothing to complain about! We couldn't have been happier about choosing Heritage Hunt as our venue and would recommend 100%!

I am so happy we made the decision to work with Heritage Hunt. Not one detail was overlooked in creating a picture perfect reception! The prices were fair, the coordinators were outstanding, the food delicious, and the stage was the perfect spot for a band. Really clean venue all around. Easily accessible and beautiful property. I would recommend this venue as it has a spacious banquet area and great outdoor and indoor spaces that were utilized for the wedding I was in. Day of the wedding Kelly was a rockstar at keeping the pace and providing excellent assistance to all the guests of the wedding. Everything was well organized and the day went perfect for al parties. I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for an event big or small.

I really enjoyed working with Kelly and Cary during a wedding vow renewal ceremony in September. They were both very responsive and easy to work with. As a wedding planner, communication with other vendors is extremely important. I was very impressed the day of the event, everything was set up on time, the staff was very helpful and the food was fantastic! I'll definitely refer my future client's to this venue. Thanks ladies!

The entire team at Heritage Hunt was beyond amazing from start to finish. Cary in the sales department made our initial communication and tour so fun and she was extremely flexible. Kelly, the coordinator, was so awesome. She was very kind and helpful to all of our needs. Her communication and flexibility were above and beyond. I felt like I didn’t have to worry about a single thing through the whole process and that I could just trust her to take care of it. I am not kidding when I say the entire day went perfect. I could not have asked for more!

LOVELY venue! Very nice big grand ballroom. They had just renovated the ballroom a few months before our wedding and it did wind up matching better with our colors. 5/5
Customer Service:
We had probably THE SWEETEST young lady as our liaison/wedding coordinator, Ms. Valerie Seidel. She was SOOO exceptional at helping us with everything! We always felt like she had everything under control and had everything accounted for.
We did however, have a problem with the management at Heritage Hunt…
We picked the venue because of the outside wedding location right in front of the pool house. The plan was my wife would walk out from the back directly. However… someone of below average intelligence decided they'd begin construction on the pool house… in September, their busiest portion of wedding season. We found out a few weeks before. Needless to say, we were not thrilled. Their plan? We'd put up some pipe and white drape, and a big picture of the pool house. We got them to remove the picture and just do pipe and drape, but
What made it weirder was on the day of the wedding they hadn't even begun construction yet. Not a single shovel or bag of concrete on site, or brick out of place. We were still told we couldn't use the pool house.
Bizarre.
While we were compensated with the restaurant area for our cocktail hour, we still saw this as unprofessional by management. Clearly communication was lacking.
If you plan on booking this place. Get it writing any construction plans.

Food:
Food was suuuper delicious when we did the tasting. A little lacking during the reception, but everyone still said it was delicious. I guess when you're plating for 100 people it's not going to be flawless. But we liked our choices. 4/5 on food.
Bartending:
We also had a bit of a weird experience… We weren't told outright, but we overheard that BOTH bartenders out? I think one had an emergency and another called in sick or something? So the chef wound up bartending? This initially had us frustrated and we did notice some long lines at the bar at times…
Buuuut, we heard his service was great. A few friends told us he would give whole bottles of wine if the tables were all drinking the same thing. That was nice. Also, he was pretty friendly.
Buuut when we wanted a bunch of beers quickly for a special drinking song, he wasn't able to accommodate as fast as I would've liked.

My husband and I were originally supposed to get married at Heritage Hunt on August 1. We picked this venue because they offered everything, from the tables and chairs, to the food and drinks. The reception room is beautiful and Cary and our coordinator Chelsea were super helpful and receptive from the beginning. Back in March, when COVID- 19 took the world by storm, Chelsea stayed in contact with me, answering all my questions and adhering to my concerns to the best of her ability. For the first couple months, it looked liked everything was going to go as planned. They even went as far to let us to our food tasting by cooking the food and letting us pick it up and take it home. However, sadly Heritage Hunt had to end up cancelling our reception due to COVID. After the initial sadness, I was able to see that it would all work out for the best. Cary and Chelsea were super helpful to get us our refund so that way we could find a new venue. While we did not get to have our wedding at Heritage Hunt, we still had a great experience with them and I would recommend them as a venue to anyone who is looking to getting married in this type of setting.

Cary and her team were wonderful from day one. I am so happy I found this venue..! They didn’t add any stress or frustration to my wedding planning process. Because of the craziness in the world we will be postponing our wedding, but, I’m confident that if I’m luckily enough to rebook with HH it’ll be great if the event staff is anything like Cary and Chelsea. Fingers crossed things work out for me and my other half....I highly recommend booking here :)

We had a wonderful 80th birthday party for my mother at the mansion in Heritage Hunt. Everyone had a wonderful time and the venue was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the food was great!

I had my wedding here on 10/19/2019 and things went well for the most part, but a few things honestly have soured a lot about my wedding day. They do not care about their customers once they get their final payment, and here are my reasons why. A woman came in the bridal suite and was completely rude the whole time and when she finally left, she made some backhanded comment about her opinion on marriage which no one asked for. When we informed the coordinator, nothing was done. Heritage Hunt replied to my mother in a comment below and in an email saying that the coordinator asked her to leave. No Heritage Hunt, she came in, looked at her, said "How are you doing", and left. They boxed my $1900 wedding cake in boxes in non-food safe boxes that held votive candles. Heritage Hunt responded to my mother's comment below saying "the boxes were very similar to the food safe boxes they usually use". I can't upload a picture here, so let me describe the boxes: Bright teal with branding all over that says "Just Artifacts, The Online Store for Parties and Events". How in the world could you possibly mistake that for a plain cake box? Also, they informed me TWO WEEKS BEFORE MY WEDDING that major construction would be going on behind my ceremony and that they "just found out about it", as if these things probably weren't already in the works for months and months. They chose to withhold that information to make a sale and could have informed me far ahead of time. I had an outdoor ceremony, and despite Cary's assurance that it would not be in my wedding pictures, you could see the big giant gate with draping over it in ALL my pictures of me coming down the aisle. They offered absolutely no compensation or anything to make it right, besides offering me an indoor ceremony or to have it at the tree with no power for music that would require them to provide transportation for 150 or so guests, several of which were disabled or elderly. My DJ was not able to accommodate a ceremony without power, and I had been locked in a contract with him for months. The fact that they waited so long to even tell me this would happen was honestly more frustrating than the gate itself because I didn't have time to plan for it better. The most unforgivable thing is that they lost my photo guest book, and still refuse to take responsibility. They did, however, blame my bridesmaids, friends, and family several times via email for packing up those things. Let me tell you- I went through EVERYTHING. I've talked to every bridesmaid, every family member who helped clean, I've put up pictures of the lost items all over social media- and no one saw that guest book at the end of the night. They allowed my husband and father to come look for it, and still nothing. Oh- I should mention they lost the WHOLE TABLE OF STUFF. A frame, an Instax camera, a basket full of scrapbooking materials, a sign, and most importantly, my guestbook. And again- they do nothing and refuse to take responsibility for their negligence. I asked if they had security footage which could solve this issue immediately, and they claim they don't have cameras. Yeah right. My wedding was beautiful, but I'd pick somewhere with a more honest staff, better security, and less turnover for coordinators (I was assigned three since I picked the venue).

unt. We are happy to hear that the overall experience was good, and apologize that there were a few things that kept it from being perfect.
The dressing areas are reserved for the bride and groom to have exclusively for the day. We are sorry to hear that a resident came in unannounced that day. The room was properly reserved and notification was sent out to our residents that the room was reserved for a wedding that day. It was unfortunate that she came in there to get her items out of a closet. As soon as this was brought to our Event Coordinators attention, she immediately went and spoke with the lady and asked her to leave. This was an isolated incident and we apologize for the interruption she caused.
Unfortunately, we were notified only 2 weeks in advance from the county that the permits for the fitness center were approved. We notified you as soon as we knew. We did offer three alternative options, inside ceremony, out by the Oak Tree with Heritage Hunt paying for a shuttle service for your guests, or the lawn with Heritage Hunt renting pipe and drape. The pipe and drape was facing behind the ceremony location and behind the guests, not the vocal point of the ceremony.
We are so sorry that the guestbook and camera have not turned up. We wish we could make them appear. Our staff has searched the building a number of times, we have checked with lost and found, asked everyone at staff meetings, and our Event Coordinator spent several hours with your husband and dad searching for the items. As they could tell from the search when they were here, we have a full storage area full of left over wedding décor that has piled up over the years and not been thrown out, as it is common for events and weddings to leave décor and items behind. When such items are left, they are put in that storage area or lost and found. We did suggest that you check with your bridal party as well, since they were also packing items up that evening, we did not place blame on them. Often, family and friends gather items for the couple that night to be helpful, so we wanted to make sure that you all had reached out to them as well to see if they may have picked up the items. Unfortunately, there are not cameras in the area where the guest book was. We have made every attempt to find the items, but they have not turned up. If it does turn up, we assure you that we will notify you immediately. We understand how important those items are.
We apologize that the cake was put in an extra box that had previously had other items, rather than the cake box or a to-go box. As we had informed you all in the email, we did meet with our staff and reminded them to be sure it is the actual cake box, and if not, to be sure to put the leftover cake in one of our to-go boxes, so that it does not happen again going forward.
Again, we appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and glad that overall everything was wonderful. We wish many happy years together!

This was a lovely venue, and the day could have been flawless except for a few things:
First of all, the bride does NOT have exclusive use of her dressing room before the wedding, as they will have you believe. HH residents were in and out of the lower level where the bride and bridesmaids were getting ready, using the bathroom and getting in our way. One resident came into the craft room and began collecting up craft supplies, demanding that the bridesmaids move out of her way. I went to the office and complained to the coordinator, who came out, said a few words to the woman, and then left the room. The woman had no intention of leaving until she had what she needed. She tried to engage us in some very negative conversation, and then took a nasty parting shot at my daughter with an ugly opinion about marriage. Nice.
The other disappointment was the loss of the ENTIRE table display in the entryway--the Instax camera, photo guestbook, stickers, pens, framed pictures, and extra film. It was our fault for miscommunication and leaving it behind, but we returned the very next day to retrieve it all, and it was magically gone. After numerous assurances that they had searched everywhere, at a later date they allowed my husband and son-in-law to come over to search for themselves. However, they would allow them to go near the housekeeping area, not wanting to disturb (!) the housekeeping staff. Instead, they asked one of them leading questions like "If you found something a guest left behind, you would turn it in to the office, right?" One doesn't have to be too savvy to know how to answer a question like that from your employer. So we will never really know if everything was stolen (remember, residents have the run of the place) or possibly discarded by tired housekeeping staff who just didn't want to deal with it at the end of the evening.
We are sad at the loss of the guestbook, with the fun pictures our guests took and all of the nice things they wrote. All of the other things can be replaced. It's hard to imagine that anyone would just throw something like that away. We were told that people leave things behind there all the time (understandable, right? It's a wedding venue, and people are excited and maybe a little exhausted when they are cleaning up), but that they would never throw anything out. So where did the stuff go? HH doesn't care, they've moved on, but it's still a sour note after an otherwise wonderful day. How do all of those items simply get "lost"?
Also, you should provide HH with a food-safe box for your leftover wedding cake. The staff crammed my daughter's leftover cake into a small box that previously held votive candles imported from China. Not food safe, not clean. The sales director assured me that they would have packed the cake in a take-out box. No, Cary, they did not, and we just threw the cake out.
So watch your stuff, don't leave anything valuable in the bride's room when you leave to go to the ceremony, don't expect the entitled HH residents to give the bride any privacy, bring your own clean, food-safe bakery box for your leftover cake, and you should have a pretty good day otherwise.

Heritage Hunt. We are happy to hear that the overall experience was good, and apologize that there were a few things that kept it from being flawless.
The dressing areas are reserved for the bride and groom to have exclusively for the day. We are sorry to hear that a resident came in unannounced that day. The room was properly reserved and notification was sent out to our residents that the room was reserved for a wedding that day. It was unfortunate that she came in there to get her items out of a closet. As soon as this was brought to our Event Coordinators attention, she immediately went and spoke with the lady and asked her to leave. This was an isolated incident and we apologize for the interruption she caused.
The bathrooms near the dressing room are for clubhouse use. The bridal party is typically the majority of who is using it throughout the day. However, we cannot refuse residents and golf members access to any of the restrooms in the clubhouse. We do have other smaller rooms that are still in use by residents, including the golf course and proshop, and they do need access to restrooms.
We are so sorry that the guestbook and camera have not turned up. We wish we could make them appear. Our staff has searched the building a number of times, we have checked with lost and found, asked everyone at staff meetings, and our Event Coordinator spent several hours with your family members searching for the items. As you could tell from the search when you all were here, we have a full storage area full of left over wedding décor that has piled up over the years and not been thrown out, as it is common for events and weddings to leave décor and items behind. When such items are left, they are put in that storage area or lost and found. We have made every attempt to find the items, but they have not turned up. If it does turn up, we assure you that we will notify the bride and groom immediately. We understand how important those items are.
We apologize that the cake was put in an extra box that had previously had other items, rather than the cake box or a to-go box. The other box was similar in appearance as the standard cake box we would receive from your baker. As we had informed you all, we did meet with our staff and reminded them to be sure it is the actual cake box, and if not, to be sure to put the leftover cake in one of our to-go boxes, so that it does not happen going forward.
Again, we appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and glad that overall everything was wonderful. We wish the bride and groom many happy years together!

I usually do not write reviews but I had to make an exception. Having our wedding at Heritage Hunt was a great choice!!! Our coordinator, Valerie, did an amazing job....she was soo patient and friendly and was always more than happy to accommodate all our needs and answer all our questions (we had a lot)!!!
The staff is very professional and the grounds are beautiful. The food was very delicious and we got a lot of compliments from our guests. Overall, the service was exceptional and I would definitely recommend Heritage Hunt :)

Heritage Hunt was absolutely the right choice for our wedding day! Valerie her staff were amazing throughout the entire day--through extreme heat, bridal injury, and everything in between. With record level heat projected, the staff took their own steps to prepare including having extra water bottles on site, and AC specialist on call. When we decided to move inside after the rehearsal, they were quick to prepare and adjust accordingly. Valerie thought about every step, and met me where I was in terms of planning and preparations. There were endless compliments about the food and staff, and they were the center of our great day. Thanks so much to Valerie and her team!

Heritage Hunt made our small event (35 people) a very special time. They treated us as if we were the largest and most important event. The grounds and the clubhouse are beautiful and so well kept. The room had a balcony that overlooks the golf course and the mountains in the distance. The food was delicious and the servers were always available but not in the way. Everyone is still commenting on the desserts!! From the very first meeting with Cary and then Valerie we felt like we were treated like royalty. They asked questions we haven't even thought about and really wanted to make our event special. Every detail was taken care of and all we had to do was enjoy our time with family and friends. Selecting Heritage Hunt was our best decision and would be yours too!

Heritage Hunt was the most beautiful wedding venue. The grounds were perfectly manicured, and the ballroom was gorgeous.
My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Kara as our wedding coordinator. From the beginning, she was so kind. Leading up to the wedding, she was so patient with my enormous amount of questions. She was always quick to answer and email or return a phone call. On the day of the wedding, she took care of every detail, neatly setting out the place cards, putting the uplighting in the perfect spots, and making sure our guest book was ready to be signed. She even drove me and my big, poofy dress around the building before the ceremony so no one would see my dress before my walk down the aisle. After the wedding, she hand delivered food to my family, bridal party and my husband and me, knowing we would miss out on some of cocktail hour due to pictures.
I cannot thank Hertiage Hunt and Kara enough for making my wedding day the most amazing day of my life.

My husband and I knew we wanted to get married at my home church in Manassas. When we were searching for indoor reception venues with beautiful scenery in the area, Heritage Hunt was it! There was no comparison. The facility is beautiful, and their team was top notch! Valerie and Tessa helped us every step of the way, the food was delicious, and everyone was incredibly accommodating. The venue itself was beautiful, and they have just recently renovated their ballroom. I loved it what it looked like before, but the new carpet and curtains add an elegant flare! Several of our vendors had never been there before our wedding, but they were extremely excited to spread the word. We cannot stop singing their praises and would highly recommend Heritage Hunt for your wedding or any other event in the future!

I had my wedding at the Mansion early last month. It was a smallish wedding (50 people) and the location was exactly what I was looking for. Thank you to Valerie for putting up with my weekly emails (for over a month while she was also planning a huge wedding in the clubhouse on the same day). We met Tessa at the tasting and she was on site for the wedding and she knows her stuff! The food was A M A Z I N G. We asked Tessa to bring the crab dip inside from the cocktail hour so we could finish it!
I lucked out with weather and the ceremony could be outside. We faced the mansion and it was gorgeous! Cocktails were outside and everyone still talks about the bartender who took care of us. Wish I could remember his name, but I have multiple pictures of him with my friends, they loved him.
Reception was inside and everything moved flawlessly. Not one detail was missed (and I threw a TON at them right up until the end).
This is by far the best value for Northern Virginia, for both big and small weddings. They have 3 spots for pictures that are gorgeous, and my husband and his ushers got their picture taken at the 10 hole with their clubs and balls which they loved.

We got married at Heritage Hunt this past weekend and it was everything we could have hoped for. The venue was beautiful from the green golf course views to the breathtaking and large ballroom, which was just updated. One of the reasons we decided on Heritage Hunt was that they provide all the catering, alcohol, tables, chairs, linens, ceremony chairs etc, and we didn’t to worry about finding and coordinating those vendors. All of the food was delicious and the staff was amazing. Valerie, the Wedding Coordinator was a life saver for a stressed bride, she made all of the coordinating and planning a breeze. She quickly responded to and addressed any questions, concerns and requests that we had and made sure everything was exactly as we wished. She even helped my father coordinate a surprise performance by the Northern Virginia Firefighter Pipes and Drums band. Our wedding day was perfect and there is nothing I would have changed, thank you Valerie and the staff at Heritage Hunt for making it the Best Day Ever!

We just had our wedding on May 26, 2019 at the Heritage Hunt golf and country club. I had looked at several venues before deciding to go with heritage hunt and it was one of the best decisions we made for the wedding. Not only is the venue absolutely beautiful, they provide the catering, alcohol, tables, chairs, linens, etc. We did not have to worry about managing several different vendors for the venue, ceremony, and reception. The food was amazing, we got several compliments from our guests about how delicious the food was (we had two passed appetizers, two standing appetizers, and it took plated meals - filet with Hunter sauce and chicken Marcella) . We worked with Valerie and she was absolutely fantastic. My [now] husband had printed out all of the emails I had sent to Valerie with all of my desired instructions for the ceremony and reception - where I wanted everything to go, etc. He brought the emails so that he could use them as a guide should he need to fix any mistakes that may have occurred during setup. However every time he checked, everything was being set up perfectly to the exact instructions I had given. Valerie is extremely detail oriented and even provides you with ideas if you have not thought of something. Our wedding turned out beautifully and if we could do it all again we would pick heritage hunt and, hopefully, work with Valerie again. I really did not have any concerns regarding the venue or the setup on the wedding day. Everything was perfect. I can’t say enough – thank you so much, Valerie, for everything you did to make our wedding day incredibly memorable and amazing. Definitely pick this venue.

LITERALLY do not look anywhere else!
Every single one of the staff members made my year of being engaged, and the day of my wedding the most memorable, perfect day. I am the pickiest person in the whole entire world, trust me, I was scared I was going to be a bridezilla, but Valerie and her team literally had EVERYTHING covered. They didn't let me worry about a thing, the took initiative, directed all vendors and always checked in on me, my husband, family and friends.
The venue is exceptionally gorgeous, their landscaping is taken care of with their heart and soul. The venue was just recently renovated and is drop dead gorgeous. The ceremony site was outdoors and the lawn was taken care of, the arbors and columns were provided by the venue and the chairs were perfectly arched as requested.
The foods is delicious, we tried the chicken, salmon beef and filet and everything was great. The presentation of the food was very classy as well.
I am just beyond impressed and grateful I had my wedding at Heritage Hunt. It was beautiful, the staff is exceptional, professional and helpful. The site is massive and fits everyone so comfortably. I can go on and on about how amazing the site and staff were, considering the pricing here! Please go visit this place if you want to have the wedding of your dreams with the service you deserve!

We held our wedding reception at Heritage Hunt and could not be more pleased with how everything turned out! Kara, the Day of Coordinator was amazing to work with. She helped us with so much and had lots of great suggestions to make sure things went as smoothly as possible. She also quickly responded to emails, answering the many (many) questions we had along the way. We had an idea of what we thought the space would look like once everything was set up, but we were truly blown away at the final result. Everything was arranged beautifully. Kara and the Heritage Hunt staff went above and beyond and were so helpful in setting up our gigantic centerpieces, setting the tables and making sure everything came together perfectly. Over a month later we're still getting compliments on how wonderful everything was! You seriously can't go wrong if you choose Heritage Hunt for your wedding. I have never felt so lucky as I did with this vendor, truly ?Heritage Hunt is THE place to have your wedding. We were blessed enough to have Kara as her coordinator and when I say she did everything for us...she truly did everything! We dropped off our decor and plans a couple of days before and on the day of (when I was running behind like every rushed bride) I got there and everything was being done for us. The menus I made were on the table, the candy bar was set up, the photobooth looked amazing. I could not have asked for a better team to be with me on the day. Since my big day, which while writing this was three weeks ago, I have recommended Heritage Hunt for everyone I know getting married. And for the price, you CANNOT beat it.
I am not a very girly, demanding bride, but they truly made me feel like a princess and everything I said mattered.

My wife and I got married at Heritage Hunt in early August 2018. We were looking for a venue that could accommodate 250+ guests, had an outdoor ceremony area, a separate area for cocktail hour, and that was reasonably within our budget. HH checked all those boxes! From the outset, the staff was wonderful to work with, especially our day of coordinator Kara Birkenfeld. Kara took charge and ensured all of our vendors were on top of their game, on time, and that our vision was executed. Although we hired outside catering to complement the buffet selections provided by HH, the food was excellent for a country club. Our only real complaint was that it was very hot in the ballroom during the reception, but it's hard to say who was at fault there. Overall, we had a great experience and we loved working with Kara.

The venue was amazing! The venue with catering was right on budget (full wedding was $10,000, ceremony, reception, and catering was under $4,000). For dinner I chose the buffet choice and it was perfect and delicious. I highly recommend this place. I knew it was the right place the first time I saw it and met my fantastic coordinator. The venue also had easels and a cake stand for me to use so I did not have to rent them from other vendors. I plan on using the same venue for other major events.

Heritage Hunt was amazing! We didn't have our ceremony here, but the reception was out of this world. Kara and team's attention to detail was phenomenal. Kara and the team added a special touch to everything, add in decor that they had that fit our theme and even adding little shell details to the butter! The reception space looked like something straight out of a magazine; it was more than we envisioned! The food was delicious and the chef made sure to accommodate the food allergies and food intolerances of our guests. We would recommend Heritage Hunt and Kara to everyone!

Let me first start by saying that there is something so beautiful and elegant about Heritage Hunt. When my fiance and I were looking for a venue, we wanted something unique and beautiful but needed to hold more than 200 people... which is not easy. We were having a traditional Indian reception and there are a few venues who host them ALL the time. We wanted something different, a venue that his family and friends haven't been to over and over again. We booked Heritage Hunt for several reasons: the elegance, the high ceilings in the ball room, the golf course views, nice outdoor space off the dining area, the build in stage, big dance floor, and the welcoming and accommodating staff. We booked both the ball room and the separate dining area for cocktail hour and reception and it made all the difference. Having the separate cocktail hour and food area made a huge difference and gave us room to separate the dinner from dancing.
Carrie and Kara were also amazing to work with! Kara met with us several times to go over details and made sure the day-of ran as smoothly as possible! Taking photos out on the golf course was also a plus (and I know our photographer loved the views)! We forgot a few things the night of and Kara made sure to keep them save in her office for us.
Another HUGE plus was the private space we got right next to the ball room. It was big enough to hold our close family and friends and was the perfect space when we needed to get away, shove food in our mouth, or chug back a few drinks.
I highly recommend Heritage Hunt if you are looking to host a larger party in an elegant and beautiful space.

My husband and I had the most amazing wedding at Heritage Hunt Golf and Country Club. We booked this venue about 10 months before our wedding and ever since our first visit, we knew that this was the perfect place for us. The venue is so elegant, and it offered a beautiful space outdoors for our ceremony, a specific place for our cocktail hour with access to a balcony and a spacious, elegant reception ballroom! (The place was not crowded and the dance floor was also very spacious). Kara was our wedding coordinator for the first 8 months, and was always very timely in answering any questions we had throughout the planning process. In addition, she scheduled a timely tasting with the chef to choose our 2 entrees. She was very patient, knowledgeable, trustworthy and kind! About 2 months before our wedding, we got introduced to Valerie, who actually ended up being our wedding day coordinator. Valerie and Kara were present on our final meeting, where we highlighted every single little thing for our wedding day. They took care of the rehearsal day practice, the rehearsal dinner at the Marsh Mansion, which we chose to do and the wedding day coordination. Although our wedding schedule was off due to some rain (In May), I couldn't be happier with the way it turned out. Valerie did an amazing job during our wedding day, she would always come and check on us while we were getting ready, and she also gave me updates about vendor arrivals. She also was running around to make sure things were flowing as scheduled during the wedding, and accommodated last minute requests very smoothly. Our family and friends were so pleased with the service provided, the dinner and the venue, and we still up until today receive many complements! My husband and I are pleased to recommend HH for your wedding!

Heritage hunt is a gorgeous venue!! From the second we came to look at heritage hunt for a tour with all our questions, the staff was extremely kind and patient and helpful, especially the lovely Cary!! Booking your wedding with heritage hunt comes with a coordinator, Kara! She is literally the best!!! Kara worked with any requests we had and helped us make our dream wedding come true. I am the type of person that typically likes to do stuff on my own but the day of the wedding, having Kara as the day of coordinator was a breeze! If I had dreamed the wedding, it could not have been more perfect!! Everything ran extremely smoothly and I didn’t even lift a finger or have any worries throughout the night. The kitchen staff were all very sweet to work with and the food was incredible and came out in a timely matter for all guests. I would absolutely recommend this venue to any couples out there looking to have an amazing wedding. We had the ceremony and reception on site and could not be happier with our decision to work with them!

There are not enough accolades to describe how pleased we were with my son's recent rehearsal dinner and wedding at Heritage Hunt. My daughter in law visited many venues, and it was Kara's professional, enthusiastic, can-do attitude that persuaded her to have her wedding there. At every turn, Kara was there to make the vision come true.
The weekend began with the rehearsal dinner in the gardens outside of Marsh Mansion, an antebellum estate on the property. We had use of both the grounds (cocktails and dinner) and the interior (slide show and dessert), and it was beautiful. The food was fantastic - far beyond our expectations of typical mass produced appetizers and buffet food. Everyone staff member that we interacted with was professional and courteous - from the ground and set up crew, to the wait staff, caterers and bartenders.
The wedding posed a challenge, as the bride's heart was set on getting married on the lawn outside of the clubhouse. However, torrential rain that day dictated that the ceremony would be moved inside. Kara and crew converted the already set ballroom for a sanctuary wedding, and upon dismissing us to the dining room for cocktails (a great spot with fantastic mountain views from the covered patio), reset the ballroom for the reception. The transition from outside to inside and ballroom to wedding venue was seamless! I'm still amazed at how they pulled this off, seemingly without effort.
The food again exceeded expectations! All of us were very pleased with the quality and quantity of the buffet and the appetizer selection.
Again, the staff and particularly Kara, were only so attentive to our wants and needs. The venue is beautiful for both small and large events. This is the third (with a fourth scheduled later this month) event that I've hosted at Heritage Hunt. The same level of professional and friendly service was offered at the small corporate retreat that we held as it was for the wedding.
Kara is truly a gift to Heritage Hunt. Not only does she have a lot of expertise in event planning, she is a pleasant and calming presence - something bride's and their families greatly appreciate! In working with her for these events, we've gotten to know Kara quite well, and our admiration for her both professionally and personally continues to grow. Thank you for a beautiful wedding weekend!

We had our rehearsal dinner, ceremony and reception at Heritage Hunt. Everything was perfect from beginning to end! Kara made sure everything was covered and made our job (getting married!) all we had to worry about. Our ceremony was supposed to be outside but Mother Nature had other plans and the transition to an indoor ceremony and then to have the reception was seamless. The food was amazing, all of my guests said it was the best wedding food they had. The dinner service was done quickly, and efficiently and no one had to wait for refilled trays or for appetizers. The wait staff and bartenders were extremely friendly and very willing to help. If I had to do it all over again, I would have my wedding here any day. A ++

I need the world to know how absolutely incredible Heritage Hunt is!! We had the BEST possible experience from our initial inquiry to the tour to the entire wedding planning process and finally, our wedding :). We knew after researching a bit that we wanted an “all-inclusive” type venue that would provide all the food, alcohol, furniture, linens, ceremony space, etc. Turns out, these are hard to find!! Heritage Hunt is 2 hours from where we live, but came with everything we wanted in a venue, and at a more reasonable price than others we considered. The best part though was that it not only came with everything we wanted, it came with KARA. We had no idea what the role of a venue coordinator was and figured that she would just be there to help us line up and tell us where to go, but she ended up being one of the best parts of our entire wedding experience. She was so fun and easy to work with, answered a million questions for us in the months leading up to the wedding, and with the help of her assistant, Valerie, put out all of the (MANY boxes of) decorations we brought for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception while we were busy getting ready. They completely read my mind and made our vision come to life, and even added a few surprise touches that they thought we would love (and we did!!). The rest of the staff was just as friendly and wonderful during our reception, and the FOOD was amazing! Finally, we were given a list of recommended vendors at our first meeting that really helped us select a lot of our vendors. One even gave us a discount because of how much he loved working at Heritage Hunt! We felt like we had the total dream team of people on our wedding day helping to make it beautiful, fun, and memorable. Thank you for the best day ever!!

Heritage Hunt and their Events Coordinator, Kara, are amazing. From the beginning they were not only the most affordable for our wedding needs, but they were an active part in our wedding planning. Kara was there every step of the way helping our vision come to life and finding the best solutions to make our special day unique. The grounds and facilities are really clean and beautiful. There's so many options, outdoor spaces, photo spots right on site, great cocktail space, additional private rooms for getting ready and VIP, and best of all, that amazing banquet hall. Worried about the weather on your big day? It rained nearly all day on my wedding and the facilities were so great I could almost forget it rained all day after the fact. The room was one of the only ones large enough to accommodate our large number of guests and had a large dance floor to match as well as a stage and projector for any special projects you'd want to incorporate. Not only did all our guests fit with stretching room to spare, but all our vendors, from photo booths, videographers, photographers, etc., had room to set up and stretch out, too. Other venues advertised up to 300 guests and we'd show up for a tour and there was no way. You don't have that problem with Heritage Hunt. And what's the one thing that can really make or break a wedding reception? The food! After 2 months my guests are still talking about the amazing food. You can try all their amazing choices for free when you set up your reception menu and there wasn't a bad item on the menu. They have great package deals, alcohol, buffet, or the route we went, fully plated. It was amazing. All the staff was absolutely professional and they worked great with all our other vendors and support as well. Cannot recommend highly enough. You won't be disappointed.

Heritage Hunt was the best choice for us. Cary and Kara were both great. Cary was very flexible in showing us the venue when we were still trying to decide which venue would be the best pick. Kara helped coordinate all the details from the food to room layout. She was very flexible and accommodating to our needs. We were so happy that we chose Heritage Hunt as our wedding venue.
