I just got my diamond reset and it’s absolutely beautiful. It’s my dream ring. The price was phenomenal and it’s not the usual cookie cutter ring. Mandy was so patient with me during this whole process. The customer service was excellent. I highly recommend Herzog Jewelers.
The staff at Herzog are top notch. Although they had issues dealing with the off-site company we wanted to order some of our jewelry from, they were beyond gracious and professional about everything. They clean my jewelry every time I go in there. I will go back there for any thing else I need.
My husband chose Herzog as it is where his grandparents buy jewelry. He did an amazing job picking out my engagement ring with Terri's help. We went back to get our wedding bands there as well. When my wedding band came in and it wasn't quite right, they found a way to make it perfect! When I accidentally bent a prong on my engagement ring :( :( they were able to fix it quickly so I could have it back in my hand in a matter of days! :)
I found a picture on line of a ring that fit my soon to be husband perfectly and then called herzog. Ted Koester answers and corresponds with me thru email and phone calls to get my rings made. The man was awesome. Friendly! Easy to work with! Understood what I wanted! Reasonable prices and also let me see and try on a sample of each ring to make sure the fit was good. He's definitely a man of his word. Their business is run on faith, honesty and trust. All the values I hold dear. Thanks Ted for EVERYTHING!!! The rings were TOP quality and beautiful all the same.
Hertzog is the only place I purchase jewelry. Family owned business providing a high quality product with exceptional customer service. You are more than a number and receive personalized attention and follow up as a consumer. The owner and his son are on the front line to assist customers. Additionally, they hire some of the best in the business. I worked with Susan and she was phenomenal. I was searching for an engagement ring and not only did she help me find it, she provided suggestions to help carry out my plan when I popped the big question. I have nothing but good things to say about this business. I have been going there for many years and highly recommend them. You will not be disappointed.
Susan and Ted at Herzog Jewelers were excellent to work with! My fiancé and I had gone to several of the chain jewelery shops and could not find anything that either of us loved. With a little Internet searching we found a ring made by Mark Schneider and she wanted to see in person so we made the hour drive from our home to Herzog Jewelers. She absolutely loved the ring. A few weeks later I was able to pick out a diamond with no pressure. Susan wanted me to pick the diamond that looked the best to me and not what a piece of paper said. It was a great experience and I would recommend them to anyone looking for an engagement ring! I look forward to picking out our wedding bands at Herzog Jewelers soon.
Herzog jewelers easily exceeded -- really, blew away -- any expectations I could have had for a jewelry store when my fiancee and I set out to find a ring. We entered the store thinking that we were very much at the exploratory stage of the ring-buying process. My fiancee had a good idea of what she wanted, and while her idea was not especially complicated, it involved some unusual features. Our goal was just to see how different styles looked on my fiancee's hand and to find out whether her vision was feasible.
So shortly after we walked in, we met Susan. I can't say enough about how comfortable Susan made us feel during that first interaction. She got that we were just looking to try rings on and talk through some ideas. She answered all our questions cheerfully and without applying any pressure. In fact, Susan was so easy to talk to, that we quickly found ourselves describing to her the ring of my fiancee's dreams. Susan was a patient and enthusiastic listener, taking careful notes and quickly grasping what my fiancee was envisioning. Susan explained how the jeweler Herzog works with -- a guy in NYC who used to work for Cartier --could create the ring we wanted and assured us that the ring would be not only feasible but beautiful. Susan's understanding of what we wanted was so thorough and so obviously sincere, that we knew she meant it.
We decided that very day to move forward with Herzog. When we returned, we brought pictures of rings we liked to help illustrate my fiancee's idea. Again, Susan took copious notes on what we liked about the pictures. She then somehow communicated exactly what we wanted to the jeweler, who produced an amazingly life-like computer graphic showing exactly the ring we'd imagined. In the meantime, Susan had ordered several loose diamonds in the unusual shape my fiancee preferred (oval); there were several good options, and one absolutely stunning diamond, which we bought for an entirely fair price. (Note: Susan also explained that every diamond Herzog sells is subject to the Kimberley Process, which is supposed to ensure that the diamonds are conflict-free.)
Once we had selected the diamond and approved the design, the ring arrived in less than a week. At that point, Susan and Ted did some fancy footwork to get me the ring ASAP so that I could carry out a spontaneous surprise proposal before my fiancee even realized the ring was complete. It was touching to see how excited they were to help me pull off the proposal.
The ring was made exactly to our specifications, and my fiancee loved it (and said yes!). After having it on for a couple weeks, she did go back to ask Susan if they could make the tiniest tweak to the setting; Herzog did the tweak overnight and at no charge. We couldn't be happier with the final product! We also regularly receive compliments on the ring that go well beyond the obligatory. Several people have asked me where I got it.
We've been back to Herzog a couple times since the proposal to discuss wedding bands. Each visit has been a pleasure. Susan and Ted are so welcoming, so generous with their time, so fun to talk to, and so obviously expert in their craft. We think we've found a jeweler for life.
From the minute I walked into Herzog Jewelers, I knew I was going to buy from them. I was uneducated in gemology and Ted walked me through, step by step, all of the details of the process. I had complete trust in the honesty and fairness of the company from the start.
When I had to make a few adjustments, they were more than accommodating to facilitate the changes needed with little delay. I felt like I got a fair price and was more than content at the end of the purchase. Top notch customer service and extremely helpful!!! Will likely be a lifetime customer.
Herzog is where we got my engagement ring, and both of our bands. They know both of us by name whenever we go in there. They are wonderful and very accomodating. We loved getting our bands there!
Herzog was great to work with. They were very professional and not pushy at all. When we went in to look, they did not pressure us into anything and we paid when we could.
I met Ted from Herzog Jewlers at the Wendy's Bridal Show. This connection was one of a few that made the event a true 'win' for me. I have a family heirloom engagement ring; it belonged to my great-grandmother and is about 85 years old. While the vintage style of the ring is coming back into vogue, the rounded edges and filigree detail appears to be hard to match with a wedding band. I wouldn't really mind not having a wedding band at all (who needs tradition), but as evolution (er...diet and lifestyle) go, this ring had to be resized to fit me. Accordingly, the back is thin and would ultimately benefit from soldering with a more substantial band. So...I am in the search for a band. Yeah, tradition!
The person who I originally consulted about a close (-r, -ish) fitting band dismissed my request for a custom wax and pour as "too expensive and not really possible". He tried to sell me a band that was made custom for another setting, but despite his claim that it would "look right once resized" I knew this was not likely and there would always be a gap. Other solutions were creative, but also a bit unconvincing in the outcome (put two bands on either side and 'create' an intentional gap, embrace the disconnect, get a wide band and have it fall under, etc). I was a little bit defeated (and in denial that I'd eventually have to deal with this detail) by the time I arrived at Herzog's booth at the bridal show. At this point I figured I could a. have a short internal sulk about my 'dilemma' or b. I could ask this nice looking man what he thought might work. Immediately Ted complimented the ring and thought it would be manageable, possible, and economical to go the custom route. Well played and my spirits lifted. I had previously been quoted upwards of $1200, at a minimum, for a solid band to fit (those pesky metal prices), but Ted offered an educated guesstimate under this mark by a decent amount, with customization and detail I had hoped for. He also said stones would be a distraction. This man was speaking my language (and didn't appear to be upselling at every encounter...something I much appreciate in the jewelry business). I was excited, I have to admit.
After our initial meeting, our email communication about this process have been expedient and pleasant. Yesterday we went in to meet with him, get some picture of the ring, and he will soon have the artist/jeweler send me a drawing and then a picture of the
They are great - keep cleaning my ring for no extra cost!
Ted worked with my fiance & I to get the best price for the ring guard I wanted. We had looked at 9 different jewelry stores one day and could not find the setting I was looking for. Ted was able to order it, and have it available to see in person the next day. My solitaire had to be adjusted to look right with the wedding band setting, and Ted gave us a great price with everything included. Well below what others had quoted us for my ring. Highly recommend this store!
They were great to work with and very affordable. We had some trouble getting his ring in the right size, but they did not disappoint. My husband loves his ring - they did a great job helping me surprise him, despite him having to go in there to get sized.
They custom made my band to match my wedding ring- also custom made somewhere else. It turned out beautiful and was very reasonably priced! The staff (we worked with Anita) was friendly and helpful! I would recommend them to any brides out there!
Herzog Jewelers is the place to go for your wedding bands (engagement ring, too, if you haven't already gotten it!). The service is outstanding and the quality of their jewelry is excellent. My husband got my engagement ring from this jeweler and we both got our wedding bands here. Very easy to work and suggests jewelry that is suitable to you as an individual. Will be back!
Wonderful to work with. Fast, efficient, great quality and good price. Wouldn't go anywhere else.
we purchased my engagement ring and my husband's wedding band here. The service was great and we plan to keep going back.
My husband and I were in need of wedding bands and Herzog was just the place to get them! Working with Ted was not only an enlightening experience about the world of ring metals and styles, but along the way he got to know us personally and made us feel right at home in his jewelry shop. We loved the time we spent chatting with him and are beyond pleased with the rings we purchased. They are exactly what each of us wanted and we love putting them on everyday! It was such a joy to work with Herzog and I am delighted to get to write this review for them.
