Hidden Acres

We loved booking Hidden Acres for our Wedding. There isn’t a better venue around for 200 miles! It was amazing the have everything on site and not have to leave during the weekend. Donny and his team were great and we would recommend for every bride and groom!

Such a beautiful venue! The owner, Donny is amazing! Fast responses, willing to help when he can, and checks in and out throughout the weekend to make sure you have everything you need. Our day was complete with this venue! Everything was there, I loved the salon where all of my girls could get ready with me, while the guys shot skeets and hung out in the groomsmen’s lounge! I would recommend Hidden Acres to anyone!

I honestly could not brag on this venue enough. I had my dream wedding here this weekend, 10-28-23. Donny (owner) went above and beyond for us. He was so quick to respond and willing to help with everything I needed! I couldn’t have picked a better location!!

I can’t say anything but positives about this venue!!! We had our dream wedding weekend here and loved every minute of it! They have everything you need in one place, and it’s great that there is room for your bridal party and/or family to stay there too! Another important part of our day was getting to have our first dog together there to be a part of our ceremony, and the dog house they have just made it so much easier! Donny was amazing to work with, and they keep adding even more amazing new features to make it even more special. Our dance floor just gradually moved during our reception from the ballroom to out on the patio under the lights near the silo bar, and it was the most magical night! You will not regret choosing this venue!!!!

Hidden Acres is the absolute best wedding venue. It is so beautiful from the chapel to the reception hall to the bridal suite. Donny (the owner) is very accommodating to whatever needs that is requested of him. I highly recommend this venue!!

A beautiful venue that made all my wedding dreams come true! Everything was perfect and Donnie was available to answer questions at all times. No other venue was an option for me, I was set on Hidden Acres and so glad I did not waiver!

This venue was a DREAM! Very accommodating for ceremony and reception in the same location! They have a few rooms for bridal party to spend the night! So cozy and beautiful! Our wedding pictures came out STUNNING at this venue!!! Our guests also commented how beautiful this venue is!! We recommend every bride to get married here you won’t regret it take my word!!! My daughter has had her mind set on Hidden Acres for her wedding since the first time she ever walked into their chapel! She couldn’t have picked a better place for her wedding! From the moment my husband and I toured Hidden Acres we felt this venue was right for us. As an event designer it was important for me to have a venue that would allow me to decorate my wedding as well as enjoy being the bride. This venue was all that and more! With lodging on site, a salon and various areas to host the ceremony…what else could we need? We took advantage of every inch of this property! We decorated on Thursday, had our rehearsal and dinner on Friday and then on Saturday we hosted our ceremony on the lawn and got married on the chapel’s steps. Our guests were able to enjoy cocktail hour in the courtyard and the food was able to be inside the pavilion. Guests moved inside and outside while they enjoyed our food, band, bar (in the silo) as well as red carpet photos and caricature artist. We had so much entertainment and everything had its place. The reception was held in the ballroom. We had it set for 230 guests and the new addition…omg! It’s a must see! We added a few cocktail and bistro tables, and a loveseat to the indoor bar area and our guests were able to mix and mingle during the reception and still be apart of the party. Saturday night we were able to return to the bridal sweet, just a few steps from the ballroom. Then clean up on Sunday. The owner, Donny is so personable. His communication and attention to the needs and suggestions is definitely top notch. As an event designer he has the best communication that I have ever encountered in my 10 years of event design. I would recommend this place 1000 times over! If you’re looking to have a LOCAL destination wedding, please visit Hidden Acres. You won’t be disappointed!

Hidden Acres is the perfect wedding venue! From the ballroom, to the bridal suite, & the chapel - everything is on site and absolutely beautiful. My husband and I could not have had a more perfect wedding. Donny is extremely accommodating and always available if you need anything - day or night. You cannot go wrong with Hidden Acres!

Hidden Acres is quite literally a dream come true for any size or style wedding! There is a gorgeous and intimate chapel on site, tons of space for outdoor ceremonies, and a ballroom that is beautiful enough as it is, but simple enough to fit any style or theme. There is an on site salon and groom’s room for getting ready, and rooms for the bridal party and/or guests to stay afterwards. The owner has literally thought of everything you could possibly need for a weekend full of celebration. He goes above and beyond for his couples. Hidden Acres was definitely one of the easiest and best decisions we made regarding our wedding. 100/10 stars!

From the inn for out of town guest to stay on property, the absolutely gorgeous chapel, the cabin for the bridal party, the grooms lounge, the amazing ballroom, outdoor courtyard, and awesome silo…you don’t need to go anywhere else! The entire property is immaculate and gorgeous! And the beauty only gets better at night with all of the perfectly placed lights. Oh, and did I mention they even have a salon for the bridal party to get ready in…makes hair and makeup a breeze..and if getting gorgeous scenery in your pictures is important to you…again, look no further! We would Absolutely recommend Hidden Acres to anyone and everyone . It made for an awesome wedding weekend!

Donny and his team were a dream to work with from start to finish. From the moment we booked the venue Donny was there day or night to help us with anything that we needed and answer all of our questions. He allowed us to come to the venue multiple times to make sure everything would be just right on the wedding day. What’s so amazing about this venue other than the obvious beauty is that we were able to come set up everything we needed to before the day of the wedding, have the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner if we wanted to, stay at the cabin with the bridal party the night before, stay in the bridal suite the night of, and take our time with clean up on Sunday. Nothing felt rushed, and it was so fun to work with the venue space. Everything turned out so beautiful and I am so grateful for the rainy day back up plan with the church because the weather decided not to cooperate the day of but I never even had to worry about it. There are endless amounts of benefits with using this venue and you get your money’s worth and then some! We were so blessed to be able to have had our wedding here and we wish we could do it all over again!

In February 2019 my daughter (bride) and I visited Hidden Acres and fell in love with the rustic chic country charm. Donnie was very helpful and we were impressed with the amenities so we booked the venue that day! I love how the venue is laid out. We had the wedding in the chapel with cocktail hour and then reception. There are so many options of how you can set up and have your dream wedding. My daughter had her bridal portrait photographed on the property! I love the rooms for the bridal party and groom. This was the perfect venue for their wedding!

I had my daughters wedding out at Hidden Acres last weekend. She has been dreaming of having her wedding here since she knew about this place. It was the perfect venue for a wedding because you can have everything out there, from rehearsal dinner to the ceremony to the reception. Also, there is plenty of room for the bridal party to stay all weekend, especially for the out of town bridal party! The shuttle bus was a very big hit! Not having to worry about guest drinking and driving. The driver picked up guest at the hotel and dropped them off at the venue. Then the guest were picked up near the end of the reception to go back to the hotel. The venue is absolutely gorgeous and very clean! Donny Gerald was always around to make sure everything was right. The girls got cold Friday night and he brought out a heater for them. He is wonderful to work with! We couldn’t have picked a better venue!

This venue is so beautiful with a lot of room/space for your wedding. Donny is super nice and can be contacted by phone, text, or email and will get back to you quickly. Was there to answer any questions we had through out the whole process.

We had our son’s rehearsal dinner at Hidden Acres. It was a beautiful venue. The rustic feel was perfect for our BBQ dinner. I loved having The Inn and the Bridal cottage available. Enough rooms for the entire bridal party to spend the weekend so we didn’t have to worry about any drinking and driving. I wish there was a similar venue where we lived for our daughter’s wedding.

Not only is it a beautiful, peaceful, magical venue, but Donny goes above and beyond to make sure your special day is flawless. As a new bride, words cannot fully express my love for this venue! The location is absolutely breath taking and gorgeous! I got married on January 4th 2020 and would not have wanted my wedding any other place. I love that you have everything at one location! It was so easy to set-up, decorate and enjoy this wonderful time in my life! The staff and owner are the best people to work with. After searching most of the Carolinas we found the perfect venue , Donny's place is breathtaking! It is every girls dream not only for her wedding but her sweet sixteen/ quinceanera as well ! Donny and his staff are hands on helpers and so friendly and making sure everything was perfect ! The photographer was overjoyed buy all of the natural props for her photo session, the pond , the church , the beautiful fountain, it was amazing ! Being able to stay over night in the cabin and have on site rooms for out of town family and guest made it so convenient! Weddings , sweet sixteen/quinceanera and any events are stressful but Donny and his staff are there to help every step of the way !

Hidden Acres is an incredible spot that offers a rustic feel with southern elegance. The Chapel is an amazingly beautiful space for a quaint, charming ceremony. With paved pathways, it's super easy to navigate -even if it rains. The ballroom offers plenty of space for a dance floor, plenty of seating, and room to move around and mingle. I was also blown away with how awesome Donny, the owner, is to work with. He literally makes you feel like you're his only priority and he wants your weekend to as fabulous as you do. Really, a 5 out of 5 is too low -Hidden Acres is a 10. A true gem in Marion County.

Hidden Acres is an ideal wedding venue for a beautiful outdoor wedding. The venue offers its own chapel on property, a gorgeous ballroom, and a pavilion designed with easy access for the caterers. The chapel itself has intricately designed stained glass windows. There are also great photo opportunities for couples overlooking the pond, in front of the old general store, and overlooking the expanse of the field. Every guest at the wedding I attended seemed to be having a great time and dancing the night away. The photos all turned out amazing. I was also very impressed with Donny’s hospitality and professionalism in helping the happy couple book the venue. They went on to tell all of their guests just how much they appreciated him! I will definitely plan to have my own wedding there in the future.

I had no idea how to plan a wedding. I don’t think anyone realizes the actual detail that goes into it. Donny the owner of Hidden Acres made my life during the year of wedding planning so easy. I found every single vendor for my wedding through Donny (Caterer,Hotels for guests, DJ). I found my wedding planner though Donny. This isn’t just a gorgeous venue it’s a absolute dream come true when it comes to a wedding. I will never forget my memorable day their. Every facility that Donny Promised us was readily available when he said it would be. He had no problems with me and my husband visiting the venue several times to get ideas for decorating. Every area of the facility is spotlessly clean and he is always continuing to do updates and new landscaping and he is never settling he is always trying to make the Venue better. I would 100% suggest this venue. I met Donny at a wedding convention that is held annually in Myrtle Beach. I put my deposit down with him that day before even seeing the venue in person. He is someone you can trust 100% and he has a amazing team to follow!

This past weekend my family, friends, and I had the time of our lives! Hidden Acres was able to accommodate all of our needs! At any point of any day they were readily a available to answer any of our questions and help us find anything we needed. I would highly recommend this venue! Best venue around!!! Donny is great to work with! When we came to look at the venue we fell in love with it! I couldn’t have imagined picking any other venue for our big day! Our original wedding date had to be postponed due to Hurricane Matthew, and Donny made sure we got the next open date for our ceremony! This is hands down the best venue!! Donny is simply amazing and so great to work with. We had some last minutes changes to our guests sleeping situation and Donny was there to save the day without one complaint! It’s so laid back and relaxed. My fiancé and I were looking for a venue that encompasses who we are and Hidden Acres was it! Our wedding was absolutely beautiful and perfect because of this hidden paradise. There is enough room for everyone! Once you are there you never have to leave! It’s so convenient! The wildlife and Doggie house in front of the Inn is a bonus for us! I have provided DJ Services for wedding venues all over North Carolina & South Carolina over the years. Hidden Acres is my favorite. This venue is very accommodating for brides and their wedding parties. It is setup nicely for scenic wedding pictures I have never heard one complaint from any guests or other vendors here. It is setup nicely. I have provided DJ Services for at least 25 weddings at this venue over the years. I highly recommend Hidden Acres for your wedding.

Absolute best venue, HANDS DOWN. If you want a venue that is quiet, has everything you need (including built-in rain plan) on the property & the assurance random people won't be wondering around then book Hidden Acres. Donny has literally thought of everything when it comes to this venue. You get the property for 4 whole days. That meant we had 2 days to set up, we had a place for a super relaxed rehearsal dinner, a beautiful set up for our wedding day, and a day to break down without someone breathing down our necks to get out. Donny was very helpful through out the whole process. Answering texts multiple times with random questions, he even came to the venue the day we got there to introduce himself in person to us and tell us if we needed anything to let him know. Thanks so much for making our special day(s), memorable. We are forever grateful.

Me and my now husband had the most BEAUTIFUL wedding because of this venue! Its absolutely amazing how much it offers. We had enough room for my wedding party to stay as well as family members. And we had our own salon to prepare in and not to mention the breathtaking Honeymoon suite! This place is like a dream! I can not Thank Donny enough for letting us celebrate our special day on his venue!❤ I would recommend this place 100%!😁

Breathtaking venue with picturesque landscaping. All amenities on site from honeymoon suite, bridal and groom quarters, rustic chapel, beautiful ballroom, beauty shop, and hotel rooms on site. Golf cart on site to get around the property. Donny was excellent to work with and checked on us the entire weekend to make sure that everything was going well. Very pleasurable experience and beautiful memories to last a lifetime.

I am a wedding coordinator from Orlando, FL, who has just moved to Whitmire, SC. I have been looking at venues for a while now. When it was my turn to get married (January 19th, 2019) I looked at a lot of venues in Florida, North Carolina, and South Carolina, but ultimately there was only one place that would work for us, Hidden Acres! Get ready, because if you haven't already picked this place for your wedding venue, I am about to sell you on putting down a deposit today. (No, I don't work there, and No, I am not a preferred vendor, and Yes, my wedding was my first experience with Hidden Acres) One of my favorite parts of this venue is that it is ready to go, you could walk on the property any day and have a wedding. No decorations needed. However, I know some brides have a theme in mind. This venue is not too rustic to turn into any theme! Promise, I had to merge a simple rustic country (my husband) and glam (me) together, and I loved the way it turned out! So let's start with the owner, Mr. Donny! This man takes good care of his property and takes great pride in first impressions. He is accommodating, quick to respond, and never in the way! I did not spend much time with him, but he was available via email, FB, text, or phone all the time. He also sends adorable messages checking in on you! His preferred vendor list did not fail me! I used flowers and lodging from the list. He also lets you control the temperatures in the buildings during the weekend. You already know this by the beautiful pictures you have probably seen. Still, the property is appealing to any eye and is well maintained by housekeeper, lawn, and maintenance crews, which are all friendly. Example: We saw a screw popping up and was afraid someone might trip, we asked if they could screw it back in, and within minutes, they took care of it. (They were only there tending to the lawn on Thursday, other than that no one bothers you) The chapel is perfect! It was the main reason I selected this venue. You can dress it up with candles (YES, real candles) and flowers (YES, real flowers), or it is perfect enough to leave as is. The chapel comes with two mics. One handheld and one lapel mic with a sound system that is good enough for 200 people! The sound equipment has the capability to hook up to the computer, iPhone, or play a classic CD. One of my band members ran the music for the ceremony, and it sounded good to the people in pews and from what our videographer captured. There are also four padded detailed wood chairs that can easily be used for grandparents in the front row or two wheelchairs on both sides will fit. I am sure you already know it is handicap accessible. The hair and makeup salon on the property place was fun! I had four bridesmaids, and my mom get ready with me on the day of the wedding! (Less woman= Less craziness) We all sat in the salon while getting our hair and makeup done, and everyone had a place to sit. Our hair and makeup team had never been out there, and they loved it! Good lighting is created by the large window right next to the station. The groom's area was great, and I did not let them get on the property too early because this particular group of men can get wild! There was enough room for 8 to get dressed comfortably. Hidden Acres is the BEST wedding venue! We were engaged exactly two years before our wedding day, and we booked it within a month of being engaged! We knew Hidden Acres was an awesome deal, as you get the venue for the whole weekend and it is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! You get a rehersal and reception venue all in one, a bridal cabin for all of the ladies, a breathtaking chapel, and a whole weekend to celebrate your new life together! We also rented out the cabins on site for close family and the groomsmen rented an offsite cabin close by for the weekend. We had the best experience here as our wedding weekend was a dream! We would reccomend Hidden Acres to anyone! Thank you so much, Donny!

Beautiful venue

I wish I could give Hidden Acres 10 stars. Everything about the venue from our first meeting with the owner to our last communication with him was outstanding! The location is beautiful. It has a rustic elegance that is unmatched. The owner has considered every detail and is consistently making improvements. The property is completely inclusive with chapel, a beautiful courtyard, pond, waterfall, outdoor space for outdoor weddings, incredible reception hall, bride’s cottage, Salon, and groom’s cave. Our rental gave us the entire property for the weekend and we stayed on property at a charming inn for family/friends. If you’re considering this location, I can say that we could not have been happier.
