While I've never played golf, I was married here in 2021! The site was beautiful, the events staff were incredibly kind, supportive, friendly, and flexible, and the food was excellent. We had a very small and simple brunch ceremony, and although we were working with a tight timeline and lots of last-minute changes, the staff were extremely kind and helpful. It was a lovely day, made much better by lovely people supporting us.
We had a church ceremony off-site, so we only experienced Hidden Creek as a reception venue. We chose them for affordability and location, as they offered much more for our money than other venues, and they were located about 20 minutes from our church. They have clear-cut packages and options to start with, but they are flexible. For example, they allowed us to mix and match a few food items in the package without any added cost. They changed event managers during our planning period, and the transition was very smooth. The new manager Angela Suppa contacted us quickly to touch base about our wedding. The event went very smoothly thanks to the team's decorating and logistics expertise. The only caveat is that if you're getting married in the high demand season (May-October) expect much higher minimum food costs than off-season. Ours was $8000 whereas my friend who got married in November had a minimum of $4000
My wedding at Hidden Creek Country Club (both ceremony and reception) was the perfect day! My husband and I initially choose this venue because we loved the setting--it's full of trees and and is tucked away so it doesn't feel like it is anywhere near a city, but it is easy to get to. We booked it about 16 months before our wedding. In that time, the head of catering left but we still felt that it was easy to communicate with the staff. Most of our communication was with Gianna and she was amazing! She was always quick to respond to emails and answered so many of my questions. It was obvious to me that the team there knows what it is doing and has a lot of experience.
Ahmed was our coordinator from the rehearsal all the way through the end of the reception and he was incredible. All of my stress melted away as soon as we met him and it stayed that way. He coordinated with all of our vendors, managed guest concerns, kept us on schedule, and made sure we were happy all day long. We brought our decorations in the day before the wedding with notes on how to set it all up and the staff did an excellent job--that was a huge relief to me as I did not want to think about set up before the ceremony.
All of the food was delicious and the service was great. Our guests loved being able to go between the reception room and the covered deck throughout the evening. It was a beautiful day, in a beautiful setting, with an excellent team who made the day run so well. Thank you, Hidden Creek!
We had a couple different wedding planners/coordinators but in the end everything worked out. We booked a middle of the day wedding and they already had an evening wedding booked. So we went into the process knowing we would need to run on a tight schedule. They helped by sending multiple copies of the timeline and reviewing it over the preceding weeks.
The venue was beautiful and perfectly for our sized wedding (50 ppl). They had all the decorations set up by the time we got there and took them down at the end in moments. We were able to take the decorations with us when we left. They had water and fruit set up in the locker rooms while we were getting ready.
During the many walk throughs I ended up having, they were able to show us places they recommended for pictures after the wedding. It was definitely helpful to walk through with the photographers before the wedding.
The only negative was the rehearsal. Their organizer was late so we had started running the rehearsal ourselves. Then he wanted to go over the time lime once again. We were not expecting the rehearsal to take so long and were late for our dinner reservations. However, it did help the wedding run smoothly.
The food was delicious! We had the gourmet breakfast brunch. Definitely a big hit with our guests.
I would definitely recommend them!
Venue has beautiful backdrops for photos outside. For our April wedding the trees we full and had vibrant colors. Food was excellent and we felt they were interested in doing what it took to please us. They were flexible on their packages as far as substituting the alcohol for the premium package of food. They were more than accommodating when helping us to bring everything over 2 days before the wedding and setting all of our décor up beautifully. They were willing to meet with us just about any time and every time we requested, our visits never felt rushed and we had their undivided attention. ALL of the staff was friendly. We were lucky enough to be working with the now former events coordinator Annette through most of the process. She was quick to respond, had helpful suggestions, and very professional. Not to long before the actual wedding they hired Ahmed. He, too, was professional and very hands on during the reception. As far as we could tell nothing “went wrong,” knowing how attentive and on top of everything the staff was I don’t think we would have noticed.
The facility itself is somewhat outdated but they seem to be slowly renovating; the bathroom floors, foyer and dance floor were all replaced and remodeled in the 8 months we were planning the reception. Hidden Creek was perfect for our affordability to have a Country Club reception in Northern Virginia.
Annette and Carlene were extremely helpful. They responded quickly to my concerns and answered all of my questions. I was anxiety free when it came to the venue. I liked them so much I recommended them to a friend who will be having her wedding reception there as well.
Annette and Carlene did a great job. They took care a lot of details that usually stresses brides out. The food was very tasty during the wedding, much tastier than the food tasting, actually. They were very communicative during the entire process, and answered any of my questions as soon as they could. The venue was beautiful, especially after all of the decorations. They were also very accommodating when we took our pictures with golf carts, which was great! Very happy with our wedding and reception!
I had my baby shower here on October 22, 2017 and the venue was simply beautiful. Our rental space included the ballroom as well as the outside deck, and was very spacious for our 120 guests. Carlene and Annette were helpful and responsive throughout the entire process. I am definitely going to host my baby's christening and my wedding reception here in the next year or so.
I was very impressed with Hidden Creek Country Club for my ceremony and reception location. One of the main reasons that we picked this venue was their "ala carte" option, which really allowed us to really personalize the event. While other venues may not compromise on included items, HCCC really made sure that our wedding was OUR wedding.
They do require you to provide a minimum amount of guests when you sign a contract, but it was made clear that we would be able to increase at a later time but we would not be able to decrease. At the time of contract, we provided enough guests to hit the food and beverage minimum, and we added more when we had final numbers.
They provide standard linens and chairs, and there are many options for upgrades. There are colors available even in the "included" options.
They provide a DOC, which was wonderful. Carlene really helped keep the day running smoothly. If there were any issues, I honestly was never made aware of them. She helped with the order for walking, since I was just planning to have my dad and I go, but my mom had other desires.
Annette and Carlene were very accommodating when I wanted to make multiple trips to the venue with different people to talk about set up and how the day went. They were always willing to give me a chance to come to the venue.
They did everything involved with setting up the room and tearing it down at the end of the event.
You do need to use catering onsite with them, but honestly the food is AMAZING. I still have people telling me that it was some of the best wedding food they have ever had.
They provided me with a list of recommended vendors that they had worked with successfully in the past. There was no charge for not using a vendor on their list, but it did help me to find some that I may not have found otherwise.
Our wedding was wonderful. The food was delicious and nice, varied menu for entrees and cocktail hour. Staff was nice to work with and accommodating to my requests. The venue is lovely overlooking the golf course and I especially liked the deck for the cocktail hour. We had a great experience. Nice value too.
Excellent Venue! Great food! Everybody loved the steak! Held on a beautiful golf course with fantastic help and coordination support from the HCCC staff. Highly recommend!
My husband and I worked with Annette and Annie who worked with us through each detail of our May wedding. They followed up with outstanding questions in a timely manner, made good suggestions on how best to allot our budget, and ensured the event met our expectations. We enjoyed working with them as they shared great ideas from past weddings and offered honest advice.
The place has a great layout - a nice deck overlooking the beautiful golf course for the ceremony, a covered deck for the cocktail hour, and indoor reception hall and floor for dancing. All of our guests commented on the beautiful venue.
We were able to sample all our food options, mix and match the menu a bit, and visit the venue twice before signing any contract. SUPER flexible!
Annie met with our other vendors and kept in close contact leading up to the event and the day of the event. She stayed at the wedding for the first few hours to ensure everything went off smoothly and passed off the duties to a fully informed and capable Banquet Captain.
We truly had a great experience with Hidden Creek.
This was actually for my son's Bar Mitzvah reception 10 days ago, rather than a wedding, but close enough.
Although the venue is beautiful and the food is good, I was extremely disappointed by the "service" I received from Hidden Creek. They made me commit to a minimum number of guests 11 months before my event, and would not allow me to revise it as the date got closer.
I gave an honest estimate of the number of people I thought would be attending, but as it approached, I realized that we would only have about of my original estimate attending. I asked Hidden Creek if they would allow me to change my minimum commitment, as it was substantially lower than I'd originally thought. They refused and were completely inflexible.
They would not allow me to take any food offsite, whether uncooked or as leftovers, not even if I donated it to the local homeless shelter. I ended up spending more than $2000 on food I did not need, and whatever didn't get eaten just got thrown away.
They were very rigid and unhelpful, and it damaged what would otherwise have been a lovely day. Stay away from this place--there are plenty of other venues that are just as nice but will be willing to work with you, rather than against you.
Jessica was with me every step of the way. I was worried and anxious and Jessica and Anastasia made every effort to make sure that everything was attended to and on time. I couldn't be happier with the food and the venue itself. It is a truly excellent and beautiful location!! Love it!
The catreing director, Kimberly Kellberg was awesome and very helpful :)
Hidden Creek is a lovely place for a wedding. I did have some difficulty with the head of catering, she was let go of a week before my wedding. The new one seemed nice and on top of things.
The staff there was nice. I had my wedding outside on the deck, they failed to tell me that the pool that is right next to the deck would be open during my ceremony. At the last minute we had to get a screen put up to block the pool noise.
Food was amazing!! The room set up was ok. The outside deck area for the cocktail hour was lovely and spacious.
Without the help of my wedding planner, I would have been stressed dealing with Hidden Creek though.
