I cannot begin to express my gratitude for everything Amanda has done for me when it came to my wedding. I originally hired her as my wedding planner a couple months before our big 200 person wedding. She walked me through everything and made th process so fun and easy. When we had to cancel that wedding due to COVID she was right there with me to find a backup plan. She actually ended up officiating our smaller intimate wedding and it was perfect! This girl could run the world. Highly highly recommend her services!
First and foremost, if you are thinking of hiring a planner, hire Amanda immediately. We hired Amanda part way into our planning process (already hired most of our vendors & venue) and it truly was the BEST decision we made for our wedding. I am very organized and often called type A and I was already starting to feel stressed. I felt like I was going to miss big things leading up to our day (details, payments etc.) and we just had so many questions about different aspects of our wedding and she came right in and immediately put us at ease. She was on top of every single detail from start to finish. We made adjustments along the way and she guided us through every step, got quotes on additional vendors and made it possible for us to make decisions without doing all the leg work, which is critical when you both have crazy schedules! When the week of our wedding came, I was so calm and the days leading up to the wedding I had about six different vendors tell me I was a very relaxed/calm/chill bride and that really was 100% because of Amanda. I knew she had everything under control and I did not have to worry. We ultimately did have a few hiccups morning of and by the time I found out about them, she had it taken care of, it was amazing! Multiple of our guests said our wedding day was the smoothest and best flowing wedding they have ever been to and I couldn’t agree more. As you can tell, we really cannot say enough good things about Amanda and her team, she was an absolute rock star for us.
If you are even remotely considering having a planner/day of coordinator, you absolutely need to talk to Amanda at Hidden Host Events. She was outstanding on so many levels, and took so much of the stress and questioning out of the process for my husband and I. Here's the deal- I've been to weddings, but it was a totally different ballgame to be planning one. You can't anticipate all of the questions and little details that will come up. Amanda and her team are absolute pros- it is so reassuring to have someone in your corner to either answer questions or help you find answers- someone who is so familiar with the industry and wedding scene in Rhode Island. We got married in Narragansett, but were planning from across the country. Amanda helped us all along the way, and when crunch time came in the final stages of planning, she was always there when we needed her. She is so organized- she has planning tools and spreadsheets to organize answers to questions you probably haven't thought of. A day-of coordinator is actually the first vendor we started our process with- and we conferenced with many different people to find the right person. I loved Amanda's down-to-earth approach, honesty, and realistic view of planning a wedding. Her pricing and options offer transparent flexibility in the level of help you need. There were many nice planners we spoke to that made us feel like if were weren't planning a $100,000+ wedding, we weren't their target audience. Amanda made it clear that she can plan any type of wedding as long as people are honest and realistic about expectations. Another selling point for Hidden Host was the trove of items they have in storage- I loved the idea of not buying a ton of things I would use once (and then have to ship across the country). In short, Amanda and Hidden Host will make your wedding more organized and awesome and she will take care of you so you actually get to enjoy your wedding!
Amanda made my wedding day perfect. She helped me every step of the way with every little detail. She kept me calm and made sure nothing was forgotten at all of our vendor appointments. My wedding day would not have been so amazing without her help. She took all my ideas and things I collected over the months and created a space that looked like a dream. If you are on the fence with getting a planner..do it, and get Amanda!
Amanda was the first event coordinator I spoke with and I remember at the end of our first phone conversation saying to her "I mean... I don't really need to think about this at all, I feel like we're really going to get along really well and I like you already so can I just say okay now and we'll get the contract going?". Trust your gut, she is incredible. I will be saying thank you to Amanda for years to come. Not only is she an amazing person, fun to be around and genuinely positive, she knows what she is doing when it comes to wedding planning. I asked for her advice and opinion often and trusted her with everything. She has this amazing app she developed that kept me so organized I was impressed by myself and need it for my life. You hear horror stories about seating charts, I had a blast using her app to create our seating chart. She was on top of EVERYTHING. The timeline she creates for your wedding day is so impressive there is no room for anything to go wrong and nothing did, the day was absolutely perfect. She was there for the rehearsal and many of our wedding party took the time to say "Wow, she's got this covered", yep... listen to Amanda and all will be fine. Same with the wedding day, many people mentioned how amazing she was for various reasons, her hard work did not go unnoticed by us or our family and friends. Amanda was SO attentive day of, making sure we had anything and everything we needed and even bustling my dress many times! I felt so confident passing off all of our decor and trusted her to make many day of decisions on how things looked, she knew what I was going for and she nailed it. Having a team like Amanda's that you trust to ensure your day is perfect takes so much of the stress away, I was truly able to enjoy every second of our wedding day and weekend. I felt confident in the team we had and they proved me right. The entire process would not have been as much fun for me without Amanda as part of it. I highly suggest you book Hidden Host Events for your wedding!
Where do I even begin with Amanda.. SHE IS AMAZING! My life savior during my wedding planning. I would HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend a day of coordinator. She kept everything right on track and made sure everyone was where they were supposed to be. Thank you so much Amanda! You are such a beautiful person inside and out and I will remember you forever for keeping my big important day so perfect! You are so perfect!!!!
Amanda is the absolute best! I can not even begin to explain how amazing she was and how incredible our wedding turned out to be. Everyone who was there has just kept saying that it was the absolute best wedding they have ever been to! Amanda was able to perfectly understand what my wife and I wanted even though we weren't entirely sure ourselves! She found the perfect vendors for everything. She was there every step of the way and made sure everything was incredible. I don't know what we would have done with out her. If you are planning a wedding, then Amanda is the only person for the job. I really can't say enough and can't thank Amanda enough for all her work and for the most wonderful wedding!
You cannot make a mistake by going to Amanda for your wedding. Everything about working with her, from her team to her contacts and overall industry knowledge, far exceeded our expectations. Amanda truly cares about her couples and it is easy to see she loves her work. Even if you are unsure that you need or want a planner, trust me and go to Amanda! My only regret is that we did not hire her sooner!
We originally tried to do everything ourselves but once we hit a snag with transportation we turned to Amanda and her team. We handed over terribly unorganized notes, and she somehow turned it into a fantastic plan that operated smoothly, and was cost effective!
Amanda’s organizational system through Google Docs is fantastic, allowing you to plan from anywhere, which was good for us as I was living 10 hours from the wedding site and home, and 8 from my fiancé for all of the planning process. Amanda even came to other vendor meetings and made sure everyone was on the same page. Never mind being phenomenal with my very anxious and overwhelmed mother!
Our wedding day went perfectly. Amanda and her assistants managed to make everything just happen, and I didn't have to think or worry about anything. They were happy, lively people, adding to the tone of the day. They even stayed all night and stopped by after with items we had left at the reception venue. I am actually a little sad now that the wedding is over, because I won’t be working with her anymore.
We hired Amanda for our wedding planning. Being that we live in Houston, TX, I wanted to make sure we had a contact in RI to avoid placing more stress on family and friends. Amanda would organize our google docs folder, set up facetimes meetings, and respond to countless emails to ensure an enjoyable and fun experience. Amanda had great recommendations for vendors. She was also great about arranging for a quick face to face meeting if I was in town. Her positive attitude and calm demeanor are a great qualities to have around you while you are preparing for your wedding!
Amanda was our month of wedding coordinator, and I am so glad we worked with her! She provided some really useful tools to get organized, helped put together a very detailed and thorough timeline and helped make sure everything went smoothly. I am so glad we had her assistance! She did a great job the day of making sure everything was perfect at the venue, ran our rehearsal (without her I would have no idea what to do!) and was a pleasure to work with. She even has a professional steamer, and steamed my dress the day of the wedding! I would highly recommend Hidden Host Events LLC.
Choosing Amanda and Hidden Host Events for my day-of -coordinator was one of the easiest and best decisions I made throughout my wedding planning. From my initial meeting with her I immediately felt at ease and in the hands of a true professional. She was available to answer any questions I had through out the last few months before my wedding and was so helpful. She assisted in vendor recommendations and negotiations. She lead our wedding rehearsal flawlessly. On our wedding day she was a rock star, overseeing vendor and site set-up, everything turned out more beautifully than I imagined! My husband and I were so happy with the attention and care she put into all that she did. I highly recommend Amanda and her team at Hidden Host Events for all your wedding needs!
Best investment for our wedding BY FAR! Amanda exceeded every single expectation. We hired Amanda about 6 months before our wedding and she proved incredible helpful. Not only was she super organized with all of our vendor contracts, she also was easy to reach when I had random questions. Where can I get shrubs to go in front of our port-a-potties? Amanda had a guy. Where can we get lunch delivered for the girls getting ready day of? Amanda had two awesome recommendations. Then came the day of - Amanda turned it on and made the whole day go by so seamlessly. Her helpers were also amazing, attentive and kind. I can't even imagine trying to focus on the logistics day of. I was so at ease knowing Amanda had everything covered!
Side note, she also has an excellent skill of making Mothers of Brides/Grooms happy:)

Having Amanda to help plan and manage our wedding was fantastic. From working with my wife on all the details to helping craft some special elements that truly made our wedding personal and unique.

Amanda is spectacular. She made every dream of ours come true at Castle Hill last April. As an event professional myself, I was meticulous about each detail and Amanda coordinated each piece of the puzzle beautifully. Her friendly spirit and ease will assure anyone who hires her and from day one, through a year after execution, she is simply a joy to work with. While Amanda handles expected requests with a smile, it is truly her creativeness and desire to form a relationship with her clients that sets her apart. I fondly remember our “crazy” idea to have miniature ice cream cones served in painter’s pallets on the dance floor at our wedding, with our favorite flavors of course. At first, the idea seemed far-fetched and unachievable; clearly the ice cream would melt. Amanda made it happen and no less, sourced the pallets from a former colleague. It may seem insignificant, but a detail like that, that Amanda coordinates over and over again, truly makes any celebration extra-ordinary. I would hire her in a second if I were to do it all again!
