If you are seeking out a venue with gorgeous scenery, lodging accommodations, and a coordinator and staff who prioritize making your day as special and memorable as possible, look no further than Hidden Valley Resort. We had our wedding there a few months ago and I could not recommend this venue enough. The land is absolutely beautiful and made for gorgeous pictures. We loved being able to have our ceremony, reception, and lodging accommodations, all on site, which was extremely convenient for our guests as well. We were also surprised by how affordable Hidden Valley was compared to other resorts. They supply so much for what you pay for and the employees themselves make it worth every penny. We had Taylor Fisher as our coordinator and I could rave about her for several more paragraphs. She always responded to all of our emails promptly and thoroughly and even offered great tips and advise. She provided exceptional service the day of our wedding and made sure everything was as it should be. This allowed me to relax and enjoy the process without needing to worry about anything. If you are considering looking into this venue, please contact them and set up a tour. You will be pleased with how friendly they are and how beautiful and peaceful this resort is.
Our coordinators, Taylor and Hanna, were a pleasure to work with through the whole planning process. They were responsive to answer questions I had along the way and I was able to put my full trust in them the day of our wedding. We had very little to deal with in terms of setting up for the reception/ceremony, and the day of the wedding went seamlessly. We especially loved that catering, cake, and centerpieces were included in our package. Our guests are still raving about the great time they had. For what you get, you can't beat the price. I would highly recommend having a wedding at Hidden Valley to anyone!
We got married at Hidden Valley Resort on November 9, 2019. The ceremony was outside at the Stone Patio at Lake George, and the reception was indoors at the Alpine Room in the ski lodge. The resort felt private and intimate since we were the only event on property. I truly cannot say enough good things about the wedding planning process at this venue. To start off, we were greeted with a two-hour tour of the venue to view all possibilities for the ceremony and reception, and all questions were answered in great detail. The level of professionalism and attention to detail blew us away. We chose an all-inclusive package where a lot of the guesswork was taken off of our hands; from the food, drinks, cake, guest transportation on the resort, and centerpieces done by Linda Brown's floral. A list of additional vendors is provided, which was very helpful to navigate professionals in the area.
Working with Taylor as our coordinator was wonderful. She was always prompt in answering questions the year leading up to the big day, and her assistant Hannah was very helpful with setup the weekend of the wedding. Hannah and Taylor also hyped me up on the decorations we brought ourselves and self-designed, which was a nice validation to hear from professionals after a year of hard work and planning. Taylor and Hannah made sure everyone was taken care of and our wedding vision was above and beyond what we hoped for. They were very flexible with any last-minute changes like moving the rehearsal inside due to the cold.
Our guests could not stop commenting on how great the food was, especially the mac & cheese and mashed potato bars. The cake was exactly how we remembered at the tasting, and the pastry chef created a gorgeous design incorporating the wedding colors and flowers. Zeke the bartender was another highlight! We met him the night before at the rehearsal dinner that was held in the Lakeside room, and we were so glad to hear he would be bartending the reception as well.
Friends and family kept complimenting us during and after the wedding how great everything was at the resort and how amazing everything was. The wedding day itself was absolutely perfect, and we cannot thank the staff at Hidden Valley enough for helping us along the way. We highly recommend this venue!
We were married at Hidden Valley on 9-1-2019 and we could not be happier!! Our ceremony was by Lake George in front of the stone wall which is BEAUTIFUL and reception was held in The Alpine Room which we loved the huge fireplace and little details like the draped ceilings.
We worked with Taylor mainly and she was AMAZING, made sure everything was perfect and responds to any need you have very quickly. We also worked with Rena & Hanna who were awesome as well; all three of these ladies were a great team to have while planning our wedding and we could never thank them enough for such a great day. I didn't even have to think about what I needed on wedding day they were on top of it all AND they jumped in to bustle my dress before the reception so my mom could relax for a few minutes ! We had a minor hiccup with unexpected guests (not their fault) but they took care of it before I even knew there was an issue and got them seats and dinner with no problems.
We ended up getting a house and spending the weekend at Hidden Valley and Taylor coordinated everything for 20 of us to golf before the rehearsal on Saturday. They also delivered late-night pizzas to our house for the after wedding party which were delicious and such a great little add-on that everyone loved!
Every one of our guests has boasted about how amazing our wedding weekend was and we could not of done it without Taylor, Rena & Hanna. We were all so pleased with everything; the food was great (we did stations, highly recommend!!) , staff was on point, the Alpine Room was beautifully decorated from ceiling to floor and it was perfect weather so we got to utilize the deck outside which was a bonus!
We cannot recommend Hidden Valley enough, it is where we've grown our relationship for the past 7 years on the slopes and was only right to start our next chapter here.
The wedding of our daughter, Rachel, and her new husband, Ryan, was perfect. From the very beginning (a call for information) to the day of the wedding Taylor, Hanna and the Hidden Valley staff were so accommodating. Taylor, our primary coordinator, was phenomenal and was in constant communication with me, the bride and the groom. Taylor patiently answered all of our many questions throughout. She couldn’t have been kinder.
The venue was beautiful with the scenic autumn view. Every staff member was kind, efficient and pleasant. The food was absolutely delicious. We had multiple people rave about the food and the beauty of the venue. The price was reasonable for all that was included.
I would highly recommend Hidden Valley Resorts for your special event. It was a wonderful experience and I am so happy that Rachel and Ryan had chosen Hidden Valley.
Truly the BEST DAY EVER! Thanks to Taylor and the staff at Hidden Valley our day went seamlessly. Taylor answered dozens of emails, calls, and texts, for months to make our day special. All of our guest could not get over how well planned and beautiful everything was. We could not have asked for a better experience!
Our wedding at Hidden Valley was AMAZING!! Seriously!! Sierra and Taylor are absolutely fantastic!! Through the entire planning process up to wedding day, they were incredibly available and helpful. They are there to help with whatever you need. They work so hard to make sure your day is perfect! Everything ran so smoothly - it made the day so much less stressful and more enjoyable. I cannot thank them enough and I cannot recommend this venue more highly!!!
We had a truly amazing wedding weekend at Hidden Valley with all our friend and families! From the time we arrived for the rehearsal dinner Friday to our send off brunch, it was wonderful. Nicole and Taylor went above and beyond in coordinating everything and everyone! It was so nice to know we were in such capable hands as this was a big stress off our shoulders. The venue itself is beautiful, cozy, and intimate. It was the perfect place for us as most of our friends/families are from out of town. They appreciated being able to stay at the hotel, which is centrally located on the grounds. It was such a special weekend and we loved having the place all to ourselves! We highly recommend Hidden Valley Resort, Nicole and Taylor, and the entire staff to everyone!!!
Our wedding at Hidden Valley was an incredible experience! Taylor, Eileen, & Rena communicated with us frequently and clearly, and they were very accommodating to any requests and changes we proposed. Hidden Valley provides all-inclusive wedding packages and the price was unbeatable compared to similar options around Pittsburgh. The resort has a variety of ceremony and reception locations and we easily found ones that suited our needs. Our wedding was in August, so we were able to have our ceremony outside and host our reception in the Lodge with an amazing view of the surrounding mountains. HV even provided a bonfire for our guests late after the reception which was a huge hit. The resort is small enough that we were able to choose a weekend when we were the only wedding on the resort, so the whole experience felt more intimate.
My wife and I were extremely satisfied with Hidden Valley in hosting our wedding and we highly recommend them to others.
We are so happy that we had our wedding at Hidden Valley Resort. We had a beautiful ceremony atop the ski slopes, and we rode the chairlift down to our reception in the Clock Tower room. I recommend this format highly -- my husband and I loved having a quiet moment to ourselves while descending the chairlift during which we could contemplate the joy and gravity of our new marriage. It was really one-of-a-kind!
Nicole and Taylor, the venue coordinators, were upbeat and accommodating. They were nimble in solving last-minute problems that arose by chance. For example, when we realized during our rehearsal that there were a good number of bugs around the ceremony area due to recent rain, they ensured that the location would be sprayed with insect repellent on our wedding day and that bug-repellent wipes were available to guests at the ceremony space. When I got some dirt on the train of my dress, Nicole was there to solve the problem with club soda and a reassuring smile (even though I'm certain she had a million other tasks to take care of that day!) These women really do care about the quality of your wedding and are invested in making your day special.
Finally, the quiet environment of Hidden Valley felt like a private resort, and HV provided complimentary shuttles that allowed for our guests to get around without worrying about driving. We really liked this. Since all of our out-of-town guests stayed on the premises, our wedding felt like a destination event and we got to hang out with our loved ones all weekend long -- not just for the fleeting hours of the wedding. I'm so grateful for that!
We got married at Hidden Valley on June 15, 2019. The top reasons we chose Hidden Valley was the small, private feel of the venue and the interaction we had with the wedding coordinator, Eileen. She explained everything in detail during our first sit-down and took as much time as we needed to tour the venue. We booked about a year in advance. She was quick to respond to any of our questions via email and provided a detailed estimate well in advance. After her pregnancy, she decided to leave her position and stay at home with her baby. We were nervous to go on without her since she played a huge role in why we chose the venue. She offered us contact information for Nicole, who was just as available and helpful throughout the transition.
The day before the ceremony, we arrived at Hidden Valley several hours before the rehearsal dinner to set up. I thought we would need most of the day to put up my decorations I brought. We were met with a team of 4 or 5 women who handled everything we needed them to. They asked about the placement of each decoration and even helped us carry things in from our cars. We ended up only staying at the reception location for about an hour because we had so much help. It took a lot of stress off my shoulders and was comforting to know that all of the women were available via text, phone, or email if I needed them Friday. Nicole, Taylor, and a few other girls were also present at the rehearsal. They walked us through the ceremony, which took place on Friday at the same time the ceremony would take place on Saturday. They were very kind and accommodating to our loved ones that were in wheelchairs. They provided as much time as we needed to practice until we felt comfortable. We then went to the clock tower for dinner, which included salad and pizza. Our groom's cake was amazing and personalized for Jon. The server was very helpful and boxed up the leftover cake for us. The food was delicious! That night my extended family had a get-together in one of the hotel suites, which was large enough to comfortably fit several families. It seemed like we had the whole resort to ourselves, as most of the booked guests were there for our wedding.
On Saturday, Nicole and Taylor met me at the bridal suite and asked if there was anything I needed. They provided water and moved some decorations to the ceremony site. They coordinated with our other vendors (florist, DJ) and were there to cue me to walk down the aisle. We got married on the patio by Lake George, and everything was decorated beautifully. After the ceremony we took pictures, and they were able to transport us to the reception via golf-cart (since we missed the shuttle). One girl even bustled my dress for me. We arrived at the reception in the Alpine Room to a tray of appetizers and drinks. The room looked beautiful, especially with the flowers and candles added by the florist. The girls stayed at the reception through dinner and made sure to tell me when they were leaving in case I needed anything. The food was awesome. Jon and I were served our dinner at our seats and the girls even made up a plate of cookies from our cookie table for us.
The hotel room was very comfortable and we were even allowed to check out an hour late as we would be gathering my decorations from the Alpine Room. Taylor came to help us clean up and carry things to our car.
Overall, Hidden Valley exceeded my expectations and I would definitely recommend this venue to any bride!
This venue was amazing, my husband and I couldn't have asked for a better wedding day! Everything was flawless. Gorgeous scenery, delicious food, and FANTASTIC staff! Would highly recommend Rena, Taylor and their staff for your big day!
Hidden Valley Resort is a truly magical place to have your wedding. I cannot say enough great things about the wedding coordinators, Taylor and Nicole, who went above and beyond to make sure that everything was perfect for our big day. The fire pit really added to our weekend, making it so fun to be with our family and friends who traveled from far distances to be with us. The stone patio was absolutely gorgeous. The food was amazing- that pesto mushroom ravioli was the best thing I have ever eaten. If you are trying to decide where to have your wedding, dont hesitate to book with Hidden Valley. Having wedding coordinators onsite really made everything go as smoothly as possible. Can not say enough great things about working with the entire staff at Hidden Valley resort. Thanks for everything!
We had our wedding and reception at Hidden Valley Resort on 12/29/18. Everything was wonderful. We absolutely were overwhelmed with everything and had so many questions but Eileen and Taylor made everything so easy from the first tour of Hidden Valley, to the food tasting, to making sure that we got all the photo spots we wanted, to bringing me snow boots to the top of the mountain when I forgot them! Everyone loved our cake (months later they still rave about it), and our bartender, Zeke, was amazing.
Thank you Hidden Valley for an amazing wedding experience.
Eileen and the entire Hidden Valley staff did a great job. From the parents standpoint, everything was taken care of - didn't have to worry about a thing. From the guests standpoint - was told by several it was the best wedding they have ever attended.
My husband and I got married at Hidden Valley Resort the end of September. And Eileen was absolutely INCREDIBLE! She never told me no which as a bride is a word you never want to hear. She always found a way to make my vision work. They allowed me to suspend a floral canopy over the dance floor, have a margarita, taco, slider, and dip station at the wedding. She always had an answer to all of my questions and believe me I had a million! She was on top of it and very responsive. We couldn’t be happier that we chose this as our venue, not only was it stunning but the team made everything so easy. My husband and I had the PERFECT wedding day and couldn’t be happier. At the end of the night we even found rose petals on our bed. It was such a lovely surprise. Hands down the best place to get married, the food, atmosphere and staff were awesome.
As a wedding vendor I experience what many venues have to offer their couples. My experience at Hidden Valley was exceptional. The staff was friendly, wedding coordinators were active and knowledgeable and the food was fantastic. This is a very professional team.
My husband and I got married at Hidden Valley Resort during Labor Day Weekend. When we got into Somerset Friday we were immediately greeted by the front desk staff. We got there early but the bridal suite was available right away and we were supplied with a map and directions to the different locations around the resort. The day of our wedding and the days leading up were coordinated by Eileen. She did a wonderful job making sure that Ray and I were taken care of and that our day went off without a hitch. Our reception was absolutely perfect. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how great the food was and they were thrilled about how much food they got! Our cake was beautiful and exactly what we had envisioned. If you are considering Hidden Valley as a potential option you won't be disappointed! You get an amazing bargain for your money. For example, the top tier package includes a top shelf liquor selection, beer, white & red wine, your wedding cake, 4 dinner options, 4 appetizers, a credit to use towards your floral centerpieces(I recommend using Linda Brown's Floral), linens, place settings, etc. Our weekend was also Penn State's home opener(we're huge PSU fans), so during our cocktail hour we were able to have a TV for our guests to watch the game. After our wedding we even had a fire pit where our guests could come and relax. Needless to say Eileen and Hidden Valley staff exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend using Hidden Valley for your wedding reception. Thank you Eileen for all your hard work, you did an amazing job!
We recently had our wedding at Hidden Valley on 9.2.18. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Eileen and everyone else at Hidden Valley that helped our dream wedding come to life. Eileen was there every step of the way and promptly answered every long drawn out email I sent to her. She was extremely responsive and did whatever was needed to make sure we got what we wanted. We chose to have our ceremony outside at the gorgeous Stone Patio and our reception indoors in the Alpine Room. Eileen will truly figure out a way to make anything you want work; even last minute changes like table overlays. She and Taylor, as well as any other staff involved, made sure the day went smoothly and exactly how we planned. The food was incredible and so was the cake! We got so many compliments during and after the wedding at how amazing everything was. We also chose to have a bonfire after the reception which was a really fun little after party that many other places don't offer! I had zero worries about anything during our wedding weekend. We couldn't have imagined our day to be any more perfect than what it was and we have Eileen, Taylor, and the team at Hidden Valley to thank for that! You were all beyond accommodating and kind to us during planning and the whole way through our special day. We would highly recommend Hidden Valley to anyone looking for a wedding ceremony/reception venue or other special occasion.
We loved having our wedding at Hidden Valley! Having our ceremony and reception at the same venue, in addition to having on-site lodging, made everything so convenient for both us and our guests. They provided us with a bridal lounge where we could get ready, which had plenty of space for my bridal party, along with our hair and makeup stylists. Hidden Valley’s wedding coordinator, Eileen, was so helpful and easy to work with. She answered all of our questions and made sure everything ran smoothly on our wedding day. They also have a fire pit on site that we could use after our reception ended. This was an unexpected bonus and turned out to be one of our favorite things about having our wedding at Hidden Valley, as it allowed us to actually have time to talk to a lot of our guests. We cannot recommend Hidden Valley enough!
We got married at Hidden Valley on June 16th. The arrangements leading up to the event were handled by Eileen. She was so efficient and answered any questions quickly. She basically took care of all of my worries. Taylor joined her on the day of the wedding and they were amazing. The wedding and reception went perfectly. I can’t thank them enough.
The food and cake were wonderful. We were able to offer our guests four choices for dinner. The bartender, Zeke, knew everyone’s drinks before they even asked and even brought my new husband a drink out to the dance floor without him even asking.
We had a fire pit outside after the reception which was enjoyed by all especially those who stayed overnight.
We basically had the entire resort to ourselves so it was a very intimate setting. It didn’t hurt that the weather was perfect.
I would highly recommend Hidden Valley if you want a more rustic type wedding in a ski lodge type setting.
We had our ceremony and reception at Hidden Valley (Stone Patio and Clocktower). The scenery was absolutely beautiful and everyone involved was great to work with. We worked with mostly Rena, as our first coordinator switched jobs half way through our wedding planning process. Rena was amazing to work with and never made me stress about anything. She was always able to answer all of my questions and concerns. They did serve our whole wedding the wrong chicken dish but was it not a huge deal and we were refunded. I would definitely recommend this venue!
We had our wedding at Hidden Valley Resort on 6/10/2017, and we could not have had a better experience. We first met Sarah Greiner, their wedding and event coordinator, to discuss venue options and amenities. Since we travel for work, we were planning our at-home wedding from the road. We weren’t sure we’d be home again in the summer to check out venues, so we looked at the venue in February. After discussing the spaces, we toured the indoor halls. We were curious about the outdoor ceremony space, but hesitant to ask as it was snowing; without missing a beat, Sarah says, “Sure, let’s go see it!” Sarah was happy to walk us over to the ceremony space, snow and wind and all, to show us around the area and describe how beautiful it would be in the summer. We were sold.
My wife and I work in different states every few months, so most of the planning was done outside of PA. Sarah and the team at Hidden Valley were always very responsive with emails and always willing to arrange meetings with us when we were in town. The costs for the venue packages were broken down and we could tweak the options to what fit us personally. We also personally met the chef during the tasting for the food; which was amazing. There was a very “we’ll make it work” feel that put us at ease when we were working night shifts on the other side of the country.
We had our ceremony at the outdoor courtyard and the reception in the Clocktower room. As promised, the spaces were gorgeous. I had time on the day of the wedding to help set up, but they even offered to assemble our decorations if we provided them with pictures of what we wanted them to look like.
My wife was able to take the morning to relax with her bridesmaids and family members. She set up appointments for all the ladies to have mani/pedi’s at the spa. The staff brought in extra tables and staff to accommodate the group. To get ready, the bridal party used the bridal suite. Here the hair and make up stylists we hired were able to set up their equipment/supplies, and the girls were able to get ready together without risk of being seen before the ceremony.
Like any event, it wasn’t without little speed bumps. Thankfully, Sarah was available the entire day to help coordinate and she frequently checked in with both my wife and I throughout the day to make sure we were happy.
The staff attentiveness carried on through the evening. The bartenders made sure no guest at the bar was left waiting for a drink. Our signature drinks were made perfectly. At one point I whispered to a friend on the dance floor, “I wish we could turn down a few more of these lights for dancing.” A moment later a staff member was beside me asking which lights I’d like turned off. When the DJ stopped playing, Sarah came up to us, and said, “I could see that your crowd wouldn’t be ready to stop the party, so I had them set up a bonfire for you outside, if you want it.” It ended up being the hit of the reception- people loved that we got to dance for hours, then share drinks around the bonfire and hang out. After, everyone was able to go back to the rooms reserved for guests literally 100 feet from the bonfire.
We truly appreciated the effort and time and thought that this venue contributed to making our day memorable, and as carefree as the biggest day of your life could possibly be. We would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a private getaway close to home.
5 stars, we ran out of room.
This review is long overdue, but I needed to make time to ensure any potential bride and groom that were considering this venue that it is an ABSOLUTE must. My husband and I had our ceremony and reception at Hidden Valley on May 27, 2017. It is a day that will NEVER be forgotten. First and foremost the views from the clock tower room were absolutely breathtaking. The food was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G, all staff was equally amazing. Most of all I don’t even think there are enough positive words to describe how wonderful Sarah the wedding coordinator is. She took care of everything, she is the most kind person, who genuinely cares about YOUR day. She is more than accommodating, and she to will do her best to make your day the best day ever. This was the first venue we went to look at, and after seeing the venue space and meeting Sarah we knew right then, that we didn’t need to look any further. This space accommodates guests for an over night stay at a reasonable price, and the pricing for everything else was beyond acceptable for everything that is included. It was important for us to have a place that accomadated the ceremony, reception, and lodging. Everything else was just an added bonus. If we could do it over again, we would hands down pick this place and Sarah all over again. If you are considering this venue, just know it’s a must!
My husband and I chose to look at Hidden Valley's wedding venue after we were unable to get in touch with Seven Springs. Honestly, Hidden Valley wasn't even on our radar but decided to go after seeing a few other options that were nice but unsuitable for various reasons. Our initial reason for visiting the site was because of convenience in that the whole wedding ceremony, reception, pictures, hotel accommodations, etc. could be made there. When arriving and meeting the wedding coordinator, Sarah, we were taken aback by her kindness, passion and knowledge in her field. I'm sure we asked her way too many questions and drove her nuts, but she never showed it! On top of that, the ceremony and wedding spaces were beautiful, quiet and scenic. It was like we rented the resort. Sarah helped take care of so many details and really alleviated the wedding stress and organization that comes with planning. The food for both our rehearsal dinner and wedding were amazing, and we are still getting compliments from our guests on how it was the best wedding they had attended. My husband and I have only the highest accolades for the all of the staff at Hidden Valley who made our day incredible. We can't say enough about this venue and the people who work there. If you have the opportunity to get married here, we suggest you do so!!
Sara Greiner was the greatest wedding coordinator!! She was patient and readily available whenever I had a question. I met with Sara a few times through out the process at Hidden Valley and we walked around the ceremony and reception site talking through the seating layout, decorations, music, etc.
The ceremony was outside on a fall day by the gazebo and George lake and it was gorgeous! A perfect 70 degree and sunny afternoon. The food was delicious - we had a buffet style and there was plenty of options for us to choose from.
With over 200 guests the alpine room was great for all our guests and also offered an outside deck that overlooked the ski slopes.
Another reason we picked hidden valley is because the hotel is right on location - with a short shuttle ride to the hotel your guests don’t have to worry if they had a little too much to drink.
The last thing we loved about having our wedding at hidden valley was the fire pit they offered to us for after the reception. Right by the hotel are picnic benches and tables set up around a fire pit. They provide fire wood and tables/benches. We brought coolers and had snacks for our guests that were staying at the hotel to come hang out for a little more once the reception was over.
We had our wedding at Hidden Valley Resort on 10/7/17 and I will forever recommend this venue to anyone getting married. The entire weekend was a complete dream come true. A lot of our guests were from out of town so on Friday we had a bonfire (the resort had the fire pit equipped with everything we needed and ready to go).
On Saturday, our wedding day, the entire day could not have gone any smoother. I have been told by many guests that this was the most beautiful wedding they had been too and I really believe that's because we were able to make all of the personal touches we wanted to because of the flexibility and ease of the resort. The scenery at Hidden Valley for our outdoor ceremony was absolutely beautiful. We had our reception in the Alpine Room and everyone raved about how good the food was. Another bonfire on Saturday night after the reception was the perfect way to end the night.
On Sunday we had our day after brunch in the Clock Tower room and again, everything was perfect.
While the scenery and venue was beautiful, I have to give credit to Sarah, the wedding coordinator. Throughout the entire planning process (about a year and a half) Sarah was SO incredibly helpful with any question I threw her way. She was so accommodating with any requests and had great advice and vision as well. On the day of our wedding she was so positive and helpful and kept everyone calm and ready to go. She took our luggage to the bridal suite and even had left over meals for us in the room because we didn't eat much at the reception. All of the other staff we interacted with throughout the weekend embodied the same positivity and helpfulness that Sarah showed us from the very beginning.
I would definitely keep Hidden Valley on your radar if you're looking for a venue that allows you complete flexibility to do what you want for your day, but also offers guidance and support! Not to mention, Hidden Valley in the fall cannot be any more beautiful!
My husband and I got married at Hidden Valley in August 2017, we chose to do the ceremony outside in front of the stone wall and the reception in the Clock Tower. It was BEYOND perfect! Even though the venue was a great pick, I give all the credit to our wedding cordinator Sarah! Sarah is amazing at what she does, I loved working with her and every step of the way was easy and stress free! Her devotion, kind personality and helpful advice was a big part of our perfect wedding day! She truly made our day a dream come true. I would highly recommend Hidden Valley to any future bride! We are thankful for all the wonderful memories we have from our wedding weekend!
We cannot say enough good things about our experience of having our wedding at Hidden Valley! Sarah, the wedding coordinator, is absolutely amazing to work with. She was incredibly accommodating with any requests that we made. The food was EXCELLENT... we got so many compliments! Definitely not your standard boring wedding food! All other employees that we interacted with (bartenders, wait staff, etc) were so friendly. We truly feel that Hidden Valley went above & beyond our expectations to make our wedding even better than we had dreamed it would be!
We had an absolutely magical wedding! The event coordinator, Sarah Greiner, was simply amazing and she made sure our special day was everything we dreamed of and more!
Hidden Valley Resort was an amazing place for our April wedding and I was beyond thrilled with how everything went! Sarah, the wedding coordinator, was so accommodating, so nice and made sure everything was just perfect! Friday during the day, as the bridal party arrived, we walked around and enjoyed the scenery. We had our rehearsal outside that evening and then dinner in the Lakeside room with drinks on the deck after. Then Hidden Valley had their bonfire set up for us and it was the perfect way to end our rehearsal with our closest friends and family. I loved that we could have the rehearsal, dinner, fire and drinks all within walking distance to the hotel. On Saturday everyone at Hidden Valley was so helpful in getting us prepared. Our guests that stayed all weekend made use of nearby trails, fishing areas and the golf course during the day Saturday. The outdoor ceremony that afternoon was BEAUTIFUL, especially given the fact that it rained in the morning and it couldn't be set up until the last minute. We had a vast array of gorgeous backdrops for our photos while our guests enjoyed cocktail hour in the Clocktower Restaurant. Our reception was in the Alpine Room and it was perfect! I got so many compliments on how pretty the room was and what a wonderful wedding location Hidden Valley was. Most of our guests stayed Saturday night and raved about how it was the perfect weekend getaway! It's not as busy as some larger resorts, so we felt as if we had the entire place to ourselves, which made it feel so special. I wish I could plan an event there every year! I would not hesitate to recommend this venue for your wedding!!!!
We can't say enough great things about Sarah, our Wedding Coordinator, and how she made our day perfect. We were planning the wedding from Colorado and we felt like she went above and beyond to make it as smooth as possible (including talking to us at 8pm her time because she knew that we didn't get home from work until 6pm our time).
It seemed like there wasn't anything that she was afraid to tackle. Any idea my wife had, Sarah was able to bring to life. If we didn't have an idea about something, Sarah had a suggestion that seemed to work perfectly with our overall vision of the day. We had our wedding in early June and had the whole resort to ourselves for the entire weekend, which was perfect for our yard games and fire pit for the day prior to the wedding as well as taking pictures all over the venue prior to the reception, the actual reception, and the fire pit after the reception on the day of the wedding. We didn't have to worry about running into any other brides or grooms (like we would have at some other venues where there were multiple weddings happening on the same day), which was a big factor in our initial decision to go with Hidden Valley.
We got multiple compliments on how amazing the day was, how the venue looked beautiful, and how much fun everyone had. My wife often says she wishes she could get married again (thanksfully, still to me!) and would want to do it all exactly the same. We 100% recommend Sarah and Hidden Valley!
We had our wedding on July 30, 2016 at Hidden Valley and can't thank them enough for everything that they did. Sarah was amazing, and worked with us on everything, from making sure that we had the right meat to getting my husbands families beer from St Marys PA. We were supposed to have the wedding ceremony on top of the mountain but because of rain, we had to go to plan B that ended up just as beautiful thanks to Sarah and her team. The whole weekend went smoothly even though there were so many unexpected changes. The food was delicious and the staff very helpful. Sarah was great to work with, especially since I was planning my wedding from the UK, she was always available and I must have asked her a 100+ questions and every time she was great and made sure that I was comfortable with everything. She was the best wedding planner!!! Thanks for such a wonderful wedding Hidden Valley.
Our fairly tale wedding in the Alpine Room!!
I cannot say enough wonderful things about our wedding planning experience. The wedding coordinator, Sarah G, was so accommodating and pleasant to work with. Sarah helped us every step of the way to ensure our wedding reception turned out beautiful! She responded promptly to emails and was very organized. She did everything possible to make our big day stress free!! Special thanks to Sarah and the entire Hidden Valley team.
My husband and I got married at Hidden Valley on December 19, 2015 and we CANNOT say enough about how perfect they made our wedding! Sarah Greiner, the coordinator we worked with, was incredible! Words cannot express how we feel about her- she is more like family than someone we were working with!
In all the preparation for the wedding, I was sending Sarah a ton of emails filled with questions or ideas and she always responded quickly with the information I requested. Sarah made the planning process go incredibly smoothly!
We had our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception all at Hidden Valley. Sarah went above and beyond to make our every wedding wish come true! I had envisioned walking into the ceremony from outside, and she had made sure they salted all the sidewalks for the guests and ensured there would be no incidents due to the snow. Sarah brought in extra Christmas trees as decorations, hung Christmas lights along the ceiling of the ceremony room for us, lit approximately 350 candles for us, had continental breakfast brought down to where all of us girls were getting ready... there was not a thing we wanted that they didn't make happen! The morning of the wedding, every vendor was talked to and attended to. We had a worriless morning! Everything went off according to the timeline and without a hitch! We truly got to enjoy the entire day without a care in the world, only focusing on the greatest day of our lives! I can honestly say our wedding day was PERFECT!
To anyone looking to have a winter wedding, or a spring/summer/fall wedding for that matter, I highly recommend Hidden Valley, their staff, and above all, Sarah, to make your wedding day everything you dreamed it would be!
We had our wedding at Hidden Valley a couple weeks ago and everything about it was FANTASTIC! First I have to start by acknowledging their fabulous wedding planner Sarah-from start to finish she was on top of everything and had an answer to all of my questions. We live in DC and Sarah was able to work with us and make sure that everything moved smoothly. This venue is absolutely beautiful in the fall and I was shocked to see how excellent the service we received was for the amount that we paid. We looked at a number of venues in western PA and Pittsburgh and not only was Hidden Valley among the most affordable options, it was also all inclusive-meaning that Hidden Valley takes care of the food, bar, linens, clean up, and have hotel rooms on site so there are no worries about guests having to get to hotel rooms after the reception. The only things you have to provide yourself are hair/makeup (if desired-and which can also be done "in house" by using Seven Springs staff), a DJ, and a photographer (we did flowers and decorations ourselves). Also fantastic is that there is usually only one wedding per weekend booked at HV because though there are several reception locations, Seven Springs owns HV and HV receives all staff from Seven Springs. We basically had the whole resort to ourselves which was great because we got in all the great photo locations without having to wait or compete with anyone else.
I would HIGHLY recommend this venue to anyone looking for an all-in-one affordable location with a superhumanly awesome in-house wedding planner and beautiful views (especially in the fall).
I had an outdoor wedding on the stone patio and tented reception at Lake St. George at Hidden Valley Resort in July of 2013. I simply cannot say enough about how wonderful my entire experience was!
Since I live out west, this could be considered a "destination" wedding that I was planning from afar. I choose Hidden Valley because of it's all inclusive packages, it's prices, it's extremely high customer service and its beautiful rustic outdoor wedding setting. Hidden Valley's wedding planner, Sarah Greiner, worked with me every step of the way. She was an absolute pleasure to work with and made the entire process fun and enjoyable. In fact, I could not have been more happy with the willingness of the entire staff to go above and beyond to make my special day perfect.
My wedding was a weekend event which started on Friday. I had the rehearsal dinner at Hidden Valley - a BBQ that was awesome and then reserved the fire pit for all of my guests who came in on Friday night to enjoy a bonfire. The resort provided everything from the firewood to the seating.
The "all inclusive" reception package I opted for included things such as my cake (which was gorgeous and delicious!), champagne toast, linens, flowers (centerpieces), premium bar, buffet with served salads, cocktail hour, honeymoon suite for the night of the wedding ..... so many things that I did not have to worry about coordinating to take a lot a stress of the bride :)
Though "all inclusive" I did need to provide the tent, dance floor and tent accessories (such as lighting, fans, etc) for my outdoor reception. I hired Pittsburgh Digital DJs for my event. Also, my teal napkins were additional.
I worked with Barron's Floral for my additional floral needs at Hidden Valley's recommendation - the flowers were beautiful and very affordable.
My hair services were also provided by the Hidden Valley Mountain Salon - 2 girls came to my condo and did all of my wedding parties hair - it was very convenient. They do not provide makeup services however recommended a very talented lady from Pittsburgh who came down to do our makeup.
Hidden Valley along with my other vendors truly made my wedding vision come to fruition. I could not have been more pleased. I would describe the resort as a beautiful rustic mountain location. If you are looking for a 5 star hotel this is not the location for you however I would highly recommend this venue to all brides looking for an outdoor wedding location in the Laurel Highlands.
My wife and I had our wedding at Hidden Valley on June 8, 2013 and we had a fantastic day. One that we will always remember. We are still receiving compliments regarding our ceremony and our reception. We did the outdoor ceremony near the rock wall by the lake and it was fantastic. Our reception was in the Alpine room and we had approximately 200 people there and there was plenty of room for dancing and for people to mingle. The set up was great as the buffet was down in the lower part of the room with the bar. The food was great. The whole process was an easy transition as the wedding planner Sarah is a joy to work with. She is pleasant, kind, and truly is there for you to make your day flawless. She had great contact with us throughout the whole wedding process and kept us informed about everything going on and the timeline for when things were due or needed to be done. Our only complaint was with the outdoor reception it is not very handicap accessible or great for the elderly as they have a good distance to walk to get to the ceremony site. The use of wheelchairs or a golf cart would be a great addition to help assist with this but other than that we would do it all over again at Hidden Valley in a heartbeat. I cannot believe it has been a little over 1 month and would recommend Hidden Valley and especially Sarah for your event. THANK YOU!
My husband and I got married at Hidden Valley in October 2012. We had our rehearsal dinner, ceremony and reception there. Everything was organized, put together beautifully, and stress free for us! We even had a bonfire after the rehearsal dinner that all of the family and groomsman enjoyed! Our ceremony was held at the wall which was decorated with fall flowers and captured the gorgeous leaves. Being that my husband loves the outdoors and I love the fall; it was the perfect setting! After the ceremony, one shuttle took all of our guests to the Alpine Room at the lodge, while the wedding party took another shuttle to take pictures around the resort. I was amazed at how nicely all of my decorations turned out. If it weren't for our wedding coordinator, Sarah, none of this would have been possible! We had a wonderful time and wouldn't have changed a thing! Our friends still talk about the wedding and how it was like a weekend getaway - so much fun and so pretty. They often ask when we are getting divorced and remarried so we can do it all over again!
My wife and I had a wonderful time planning our wedding at Hidden Valley. Our event coordinator, Sarah, is just about the most pleasant and accommodating individual we've ever done business with. Hidden Valley provided a wonderful natural outdoor setting for our ceremony along a landscaped patio by a lake - including nice seating arrangements and a pergola. After the ceremony, they handled the logistics of shuttling everyone to the cocktail hour and reception in what in winter is the ski lodge. Their food was delicious. Afterwards, they shuttled everyone back to their accommodations and provided space for a bonfire. They handled several special requests including milkshakes and fries at the conclusion of the evening. We were very impressed by just how perfectly everything went, and how the event flowed gently from one phase to the next. We toured many, many venues in Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas before deciding on Hidden Valley and are glad we did. We highly, highly recommend them as a wedding venue. Thank you again for handling our special event.
My overall experience with Hidden Valley was amazing. Everything turned out wonderful and it was well organized. The coordinator was there for almost everything. My only complaint was that when we went to decorate there was little direction and we were kind of left in the dark. Also, all of our leftover food was thrown out which I hear is a new thing, but my complaint is that was never shared with us until the morning after.
This is an amazing location though especially in the fall - I just recommend full communication when planning!
I had my ceremony and reception at Hidden Valley and was very pleased with everything. We had planned for an outdoor wedding, but unfortunately it rained and we had to move it inside, but it was still beautiful and was a great day. The coordinator was a huge help and answered any and all questions we had and was great to work with. They really let you make your day as special as you want it to be and will do anything they can to help do that.
I have received many compliments on our wedding venue and the food that was served at the reception. Everyone said it was great! The service of the staff was also incredible. I was very impressed with how professional they were while serving and were very pleasant. We also loved our personal waiter who was always on top of taking care of us, he met us at the door when we arrived in the shuttle and made sure we had drinks and whatever we needed til the end of the evening. ( and this was a surprise, we didn't know that we were going to have this!)
I would definitely recommend this venue to other brides. We were very satisfied and have received a lot of compliments from our guests!
hidden valley for an autumn wedding is an absolutely beautiful location.. fantastic photos. the lodge, the view, the foliage.
but more so, the service at the resort was outstanding (including personal help for bridal party). the wedding coordinator was constant with her help and attention to make sure that all went well. we had many personal suggestions and requests.. all were met. we were able to add our own details to the the decor, and sparklers were encouraged outside!
the food was delicious; the waitstaff extremely efficient and attentive.
i would definitely recommend hiddenvalley .
My husband and I got married at Hidden Valley this past summer and it was absolutely wonderful. The staff were very attentive all day making sure we had everything we could need or want. The wedding coordinator stayed in constant contact with us leading up to the wedding to make sure all the plans were going as expected. We originally planned on having an outdoor ceremony but the weather wasn't very nice so we had to move it inside. However, they really went above and beyond to make sure every little detail was perfect for us. The wedding coordinator knew how much we loved the Clock Tower room but we couldn't have the reception in that space due to the number of guests so when I was struggling with the decision of whether or not to move inside she suggested holding the ceremony in the room we loved so much. It made the decision much easier and the staff immediately sprung into action to get the room set up and looking incredible for us. The food was incredible, I had many guests approach me afterwards to say they had never had wedding food that tasted so good. The only slight downside was that we hired the shuttle take our guests from the reception space back to the hotel area and the shuttle stopped driving before the night was over, my groom and I had to have a friend drive us back down. Other than that everything went incredibly smoothly. I highly recommend Hidden Valley to anyone. It's amazing how they can transform a ski lodge into a beautifully elegant wedding space.
Hidden Valley is a hidden gem for wedding receptions (and weddings)! You should consider it when planning your special day!
The event planner, Sarah, made the experience worthwhile. She is very helpful & accomodating (which you need when planning a wedding). Josh exceeded all expectations being the best server to the entire bridal party.
Hidden Valley staff allowed us to decorate ahead of time, which really made the Slopeside & Alpine Rooms look elegant! The view overlooking the Laurel Highlands is breathtaking.
If you have guests stay at Hidden Valley, I'd recommend to continously monitor the hotel / lodging & reservations process to ensure it's what you expect the service level to be. Jon will assist you in every way possible.
Overall...it was a wonderful venue with excellent customer service.
We had our wedding reception at Hidden Valley in the clock tower room and the decorations and room could not have been more perfect. The 3 walls of windows with the views of the mountain and lake are enough decoration in itself. I had so many compliments from guests on how beautiful the room, decor and flowers were that Hidden Valley provided for us. The food was equally just as amazing, definately not your typical boring wedding food, and the wait staff was tremendous! Hidden Valley did an amazing job for our reception, it wouldn't be possible to ask for anything better!
We held our ceremony and reception at Hidden Valley Resort - and we could not be more pleased with the location, quality, service, and overall value of the vendor. We had an outside ceremony on the patio, which has an amazing backdrop (a beautiful stone wall with vibrant flowers) for a stunning view and awesome pictures. There were several other outside and indoor locations at Hidden Valley to chose from as well. The ceremony was organized and the staff was extremely helpful. The sound system sounded great, especially for our acoustic music selections.
The Reception took place within the Alpine Room, the largest room Hidden Valley has to offer. We had approximately 260 guests - and they fit snugly - but still comfortably. We chose to serve a buffet style dinner - which was delicious! The meal was fantastic - and we received many compliments on the dinner. The service was quick - and the service staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
The decorations were very rustic and romantic, including candles lit on a beautiful stone fireplace, and lights draped from the ceiling. The dance floor seems small, but it ended up being the perfect size - and EVERYONE danced!
Hidden Valley was on the upper-side of our venue budget, but the value was well worth the costs. I highly recommend this venue to any couple looking for a rustic, yet romantic feel for their big day.
They were so awesome to work with! They were so nice! I was an out of town bride and they made it easier for me to plan. They treated me like a princess and it made me feel amazing! They made me my own special meal without me even asking, they offered. Plus they helped out with decorating even though we brought all of the stuff in. And when my mom miscounted the number of sashes from home they brought us more with no problem. Then when I got back to my room there were a dozen roses with a peacock feather(which went with my theme) and they even got me a cute little gift. They went above and beyond and made me feel great!
the food was out of this world!!! everyone couldn't stop talking about how fantastic it was. it is now a month later and people are still telling me that it was the best food they ever had at a reception. the price was included with the venue. we did an all inclusive.
Our top priority when selecting a wedding reception venue was to have a place where our guests could stay overnight without having to drive after the reception. I grew up skiing at Hidden Valley, but had not heard of many friends having their wedding reception there. From our very first meeting with the event coordinators, Nancy Demao & John Knupp, we were very impressed with the professionalism, facilities, reception packages, overall service, and value offered by the resort.
We ended up having all of our out-of-town guests stay in the Four Seasons lodge at Hidden Valley (at a discounted group room rate.) Many of our guests stayed for 2-3 nights, and over the course of the weekend, they were able to take advantage of a lot of what the resort (and the surrounding area) has to offer. On Thursday night, we arranged a shuttle service from the hotel rooms to Mulligan’s Grille near the golf course, where food and drinks were available for purchase as we greeted our friends and relatives after they’d arrived in town. On Friday morning, the groom organized a golf outing at the Hidden Valley Golf Course and the bride hosted a Floral Design Party at nearby Putman Place, a local farm where we put together the centerpieces and bouquets for the wedding service/reception using local Pennsylvania wildflowers. A private breakfast room was designated for just our guests on Friday and Saturday mornings. On Friday evening, the groom’s parents hosted a 60-person rehearsal dinner in the Fairways Room, complete with a buffet dinner and full bar. Afterwards, we welcomed friends to a cash bar in the same room, followed by a late-night fire pit. All of these activities were a huge hit, and we hadn’t even gotten to the main event: the wedding!
Nancy and John did a fantastic job helping us to plan a gorgeous reception for 150 people in the Clocktower Room. We chose the Premium Bar package (4-hours with an amazing selection of top shelf liquors, plus beer, wine, and a specialty drink), along with entrée choices of Prime Rib, Bourbon Salmon, or Portobello Ravioli, and a full spread of amazing appetizers during the Cocktail Hour in an adjacent room. Nancy and John went way out of their way to accommodate all of our special requests: a shuttle service to/from the hotel rooms and the reception venue throughout the evening, a number of special dietary meals for guests, assistance from the bar tenders in mixing up our “specialty drink” which was served throughout the night, a 30-minute extension (until midnight) on the bar at the end of the night, custom-designed table numbers and escort cards, directional signs leading guests to the venue, and even a plate of snacks, champagne, and chocolate covered strawberries waiting for us in the (complimentary) honeymoon suite.
We really couldn’t have asked for anything more out of the staff at Hidden Valley. Besides being polite and friendly, they were genuinely interested in making sure that our guests were well-taken care of. Two minor suggestions I’d give to the resort for future weddings are a.) to brief the reservations desk early on (up to 6 months prior to the event) about the group room rate, so that every guest who calls to book a room is given the exact same info and b.) a better overhead cover in the event of rain, so that guests don’t get wet moving from the breakfast room to the Fairways room, where our Rehearsal Dinner was held. Other than that, I’d say that the resort is a perfect place to host a
