Hideaway on Angel is a charming barn and farm wedding venue located in Layton, Utah. Couples and their guests can envelop themselves in the countryside when they choose to celebrate their union here. Visionary Cathy Armstrong is the woman behind this venue. She has transformed this space into what it is: a welcoming farm-inspired spot for people to share in life's most magical moments. Facilities and Capacity Situated a short distance away from the bustling Salt Lake City, Hideaway on Angel provides the perfect amount of tranquility, privacy, and peace. The venue offers both indoor and outdoor spaces for couples to utilize. A romantic ceremony can take place on the lawn, with all the guests sitting on white lawn chairs and watching on as the happy couple days their vows in front of the draped arbor. From there, everyone can journey inside the main event space for a night of dinner and dancing. Soon-to-be-weds can decorate the area with glittering fairy lights, draped fabric, wildflowers, and other pastoral touches. Services Offered Hideaway on Angel has played host to a variety of events, including engagements, rehearsal dinners, showers, elopements, ceremonies, and receptions. They have a dedicated event planner on staff who can offer a wealth of guidance and expertise when it comes to organizing the big day. The venue can also offer catering services and the use of its 4,300-square-foot kitchen. They also allow outside vendors at their venue, so couples can personalize their day as much as they would like.

Cathy, Destri, and the Hideaway staff were helpful, responsive, and just plain amazing to work with! The Hideaway on Angel met our every need and the aesthetic was perfect. The venue is beautiful inside and out; and inclusive of everything needed for a heartwarming day with family and friends. We would party here again and again!! Thanks for making our daughter’s wedding celebration extra special.

This venue was perfect. We were originally looking for outdoors but were worried with a July wedding we could have storms too. This venue has both indoor and outdoor. The indoor has a barn/country feel that also keeps a classy non hicky vibe and the outdoor is equipped with a drink truck, big fire pit area, games, ceremony area and is perfect. All of the decor was done for us upon arrival and this venue makes it super simple to have a really nice vibe without having to do any of the work and bring stuff in. They have so much to choose from.

The staff at Hideaway on Angel were always friendly, happy to help, understanding and super easy to work with. The venue is absolutely beautiful! I would definitely recommend this venue if your looking for class and elegance!

I could not be more thankful for Hideaway on angel & the staff who helped make our day so special. The venue itself is breathtaking, but seeing it with all our decor & pictures brought tears to my eyes. The amount of decor options they offer is seriously one of a kind. If I could relive that day over, & over again I would in a heartbeat. The indoor/outdoor space was perfect for the day; people inside eating & chatting, people outside enjoying cornhole & the beautiful yard. I want to give a special thank you to our staff, Destri, for going above & beyond all day to make sure our day was one to remember. I cannot recommend Hideaway on angel enough.

This venue is beautiful! Destri was so helpful every step of the way. Always responded to my emails very quickly and made planning very simple. I had no surprise expenses come up and everything was available and ready for me by the time i got to the venue. Everyone at my wedding loved the place and the decorations (which belonged to the venue) Gorgeous. 10/10 would recommend!

Terrible place to work with- no compassion at all! Booked a wedding there but decided to move it to hometown different state. Gave them 5 months notice. The owner, Cathy refused to refund $1200 or any part of it- on top of $500 deposits. Wouldn’t return any calls or texts. DI NOT USE THIS PLACE.

Hi Duronda, Hello, When the deposit was paid and the venue was booked, there was a contract signed. The contract was sent to you and you had it for several days to read over before you sent it back signed. We have discussed this with those who ...
booked. It is standard business practice for event centers to not give refunds, especially in the case that the date is not re-booked. The contract clearly states that the funds paid can be used towards another event or to re-book the date for up to 2 years. We are sorry that is not the resolution you were looking for, but we did give you options. We have replied through the office each time you have reached out and told you we would keep you updated if the date got booked, which it has still not.

The whole process was amazing. They are very quick to answer questions and very organized. Our daughter reception was perfect! Everything ran smooth and everything was set up exactly as requested from the walkthrough. It made the day so much more stress free and we were able to enjoy the night.

I have been in the event industry since 2018 and began doing specifically weddings in 2020 and have done over 200 since then.
