The moment my husband and I walked onto the Highgate property last year we knew we had found our dream venue. The Highgate staff were incredibly kind, responsive, and accommodating to our vision from our first tour all the way up until our wedding day. We cannot thank venue manager Tyler enough for his support throughout our wedding weekend and staff member Gwen for her willingness to be there when we needed assistance. The venue itself is STUNNING and our friends and family who attended our wedding celebration could not compliment it enough. Just a few of the venue highlights include the ability to choose your own vendors, comfortable suites for any bridal party to utilize, and a final walk through of the venue a couple weeks prior to your wedding date. We had our wedding at Highgate 06/29/24 and were so happy with the venue! The venue has a vintage charm with modern amenities, and stunning gardens! Tyler and Abigail were great to work with, and responded quickly to any questions. I highly recommend Highgate!

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, The Carriage House was built in 1908 as part of the Watson family estate called High Gate. It was designed by Horace Trumbauer, architect of The Biltmore Estate. Your wedding will have the elegance of a by-gone era. The elements of character show through with a terra cotta roof and verdigris copper accents that are trademarks of the Tudor Revival Style architecture. The event can be held inside the Carriage House with up to 150 guests or under the high-peaked tent in the garden that can accommodate up to 300 guests. being overly decorated because it's gorgeous already. Chasity and Tyler are both very nice to work with, are very quick to answer questions and were on call during the entire rental period. We were very happy with everything.

ntil the wedding was no where to be found during our disastrous day. Unsafe walkways that caused numerous falls! 10/10 would NOT recommend! Go spend your money elsewhere and get people who are actually helpful and honest! Our wedding turned out well because we (family, friends, my husband and I) worked our asses off! I have been unable to make a Facebook review so I will start with The Knot. Maybe someone else can be saved from choosing this terrible venue! But hey I guess they at least had two squeegees to help with tent flooding.. so helpful 🙄

regret to learn that you were anything less than satisfied with your experience here at Highgate Carriage House. With that said, we would like to note that your contract and level of rental did not include same-day, on-site services. We do offer same-day coordinating services; however, as previously mentioned, you and your spouse opted out of those services. To address the rain in the tent the day of your ceremony, we are again regretful of the circumstances; however, you did not purchase a rental agreement for the tent space, therefore it was donated to you free of charge. Our records indicate that you attempted to rent the tent space approximately one month before your wedding date; however, we informed you that our tent was severely damaged due to a storm earlier in the summer. Thankfully, you were able to share the cost of a tent rented from a third party with the wedding party that preceded yours; however, that third-party tent was not built for our concrete platform and there were concerns that, should inclement weather occur, there may be an issue. Having been made fully aware of this possibility, you yourself signed an agreement stating, "client was made aware if any rain/inclement weather, the renter is responsible to tend to the outdoor ceremony chairs and also the outdoor tent (A few towels and squeegees are provided for this reason should rain be in the forecast.)" Again we are truly sorry that you were dissatisfied with your time at Highgate Carriage House, but considering formal contractual agreements signed by you and your party, we can say with a clear conscience that we did our utmost to be as accommodating as possible to you and your guests.

This venue is to die for! We had our wedding in January and wanted a venue that would still look beautiful in pictures even in the winter time. The beautiful architecture and well ...
manicured lawns made our pictures turn out more magical that I imagined. Although Ive only seen pictures of it during the spring/summer I believe that, if the venue was gorgeous in the middle of winter, the spring/summer when their garden is in bloom and the fountain is running must be beautiful as well. The staff were very accommodating to wishes, quick to respond/answer questions and were flexible with us moving some of the smaller decor around and out of sight if we wanted to. I also loved that we got the venue for 2.5 days. Setting up the entire day before the wedding was a LIFESAVER!! and not having to worry about cleaning everything up afterwards was so nice for everyone helping out. I highly recommend this venue, we've had so many compliments on it and our pictures!
