Choosing Highland Avenue Events to help us plan our Wedding was the best decision we made in our wedding planning journey. Working with Lindsey was an absolute pleasure. She truly made our wedding day dreams come true and we cannot thank her enough for all she has done for us. From everything to the design, vendor selection day of details - she was perfect. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic - we had to postpone our wedding by 12 months - Lindsey was such an amazing support system for our family during that time and really kept us at ease with the whole process. When we FINALLY got to get married - the day of our Wedding was so enjoyable because Lindsey had everything under control - we did not need to worry about a single thing. I would 100% recommend working with Highland Avenue - they really are THE BEST of the best.
Lindsey at Highland Avenue Events did an excellent job managing all of the details of our wedding day and the days leading up to our wedding. Our wedding day ran smoothly and we did not have to worry about any details. We could enjoy the day fully without extraneous thoughts. During wedding prep, Lindsey was always available to answer any questions I had about details, scheduling, people, you name it. I highly recommend using her services to help your wedding day be executed perfectly!

When we first began the process of planning our wedding, it was very daunting. I had spoken with some other planners who made me feel like our wedding with our budget wasn't possible. But once I spoke with Lindsey Farrell of Highland Avenue events, everything changed. She had the most positive, calming, confident energy and I was excited to work with her. Lindsey made our dream wedding come true. She is SO on top of everything. I always felt like I was in the best hands. I trust her completely with her advice and suggestions and I never felt like I wasn't a top priority. I honestly cannot say enough good things. She's also an incredible person who I felt was my friend through this whole process. You cannot go wrong in choosing her and her team!!
Working with Lindsey was a dream. She was capable: She knew all the vendors and venues and could steer us toward the most value for the least expense. She was thoughtful: She weighed in and offered her opinions when needed but was never judgmental or overbearing. She was delightful: communicating with Lindsey was always prompt and pleasant.

We couldn't ask for a better planner than Lindsey - she made everything feel easy and just about stress free. She anticipated our needs beyond even reasonable expectations and clearly knows exactly what she's doing. Highly recommended, especially if you need a calming presence. I didn't worry about a thing day-of.
Lindsey made our beach destination wedding dream a reality and was there to guide and encourage us every step of the way! Even with some unexpected rain the day of, she was there representing our interests and coordinating smoothly through multiple location changes.
After a couple weeks of struggling to compare beach wedding locations, we knew we needed help. We chose Lindsey Farrell from Highland Avenue Events because she is local to Austin as well as works with a network of planners for destinations. I absolutely love her style, and Lindsey really worked with us to determine where to allocate our budget based on our priorities and ensured that even in areas where we decided not to splurge (i.e. colored plates) things looked gorgeous.
From providing a personalized timeline and budget guidance to scheduling catch up calls, Lindsey ensured that we didn’t miss any big milestones. Most importantly to us, Lindsey also led us to a few venues that we hadn’t discovered on our own and ultimately suggested the location we picked and have fallen in love with: Nizuc Resort & Spa. She provided guidance on vendors as well and even led us to Feather & Twine, a traveling husband and wife photography team who took our photos and who we absolutely fell in love with.
When the day of our outdoor beach wedding came, the reception and ceremony set-up was was even more beautiful than I’d imagined. When we were unexpectedly hit by a rain storm which started part-way through our ceremony, she coordinated with the resort staff to quickly move all of the seating assignments and the moveable decor into our back-up room (not an easy task as I asked her to wait as long as possible in case it may let up). It was important to me to be able to dance under the stars, and while the venue was hesitant to move everything a second time she was able to negotiate to move the DJ back outdoors after the dinner to return to dancing under the stars. From the amazing staff at Nizuc to the amazingly friendly and talented photographers Feather & Twine, Lindsey surrounded us with people who cared about our interests and experience. I am not as stylish as I’d like to be (every redecorating change starts with hours of researching others’ ideas on Pinterest), and having Lindsey in our corner was invaluable for our big day!
Lindsey helped us all through the planning phase, keeping us on track with all of the planning. She had amazing recommendations for vendors and really helped us think through all the tiny details we never would have known about. We had comments from all of our family members about how nicely the weekend was planned and how easy it was for guests to just show up and enjoy everything. We walked in to the reception that she had helped put together and everything was absolutely gorgeous. Worth every penny! Thanks Lindsey!
Lindsey Farrell was priceless as the coordinator for our daughter’s wedding. She is knowledgeable, efficient, and completely charming. You can do no better than Highland Avenue Events as the source of coordinating expertise for any event. Absolutely wonderful!
Lindsey is the calm, organized, charismatic woman you would expect to be running massive million-dollar events. She handled everything I threw at her during planning, the wedding went perfectly, and everyone commented about how great she was—and she knew how to tie bow-ties better than most of the guys. Hah. Would absolutely recommend—Worth. The. Money.
The best you could ask for, hands down. Lindsey and team went above and beyond expectations at every step of the way. My destination wedding added an extra layer of planning and logistics which Lindsey met with the ease and confidence of a seasoned veteran. She was always ahead of the game so my finace and I could stay organized and really had time to think about what we wanted. Her opinion offered a welcomed and necessary balance during the planning process to help keep us on budget and on target with what we really want out of the big day. Any little bump in the road was quickly and easily addressed which made me feel so at ease during the process. The day-of was smooth because Lindsey had everything handled with nothing but a smile! All in all, Lindsey is truly the best and you are in the right hands if you work with her!
I could not rave more about the services that Lindsey and her team were able to provide for my husband and I! Lindsey was there for us from the beginning to the end. I hired Lindsey for her design and day-of coordinating services.
For her design services she really helped me figure out what I wanted the themes and color schemes to be. Her mood board that she created for me helped me immensely when I was talking to vendors as it was much easier to just show them what I wanted, versus trying to describe it with my limited wedding vocabulary. Additionally, she provided a budget sheet that helped us breakdown the typical cost of all vendor services based on my priorities. These services and her expertise definitely helped the beginning process of vendor hunting as we opted to book all our vendors ourselves but had no idea where to start.
Aside from her more concrete services, Lindsey was just an absolute joy to work with. She never made me feel like I was asking a dumb question and was always happy to weigh in with her expert advice when asked. This was so key for us as a couple, we always knew that she had our best interest in mind and knowing how much of an expert she was, we knew we could always trust her opinion. She was also very responsive through email and phone! This goes without saying, but the fact that Lindsey has done so many weddings made planning so much easier in general because she could see any potential pitfalls or bad decisions and give us really great advice as to how to course correct if needed.
On the day of the wedding, everything went so smoothly! My husband and I received multiple comments from guests about how our wedding was the most well-run wedding they’d ever been to. Nothing was late and we were able to do everything we planned to do during our ceremony and reception. Lindsey was also a great point-person. She made sure all our vendors were on the same page, which was great because that meant no vendors were bothering my husband and I on the day of the wedding.
Honestly, Highland Avenue is amazing at what they do and I highly recommend Lindsey and her team if you’re considering them for your next event or wedding!
If you're not one to give up control easily, Lindsey Farrell at Highland Avenue is the planner for you. She is smart, friendly, detail oriented, has great vendor contacts and relationships (for good reason), and she kept me and my fiancé well informed and on track with decision making from wedding pre-planning to reception clean up. I'm a worrier, and we didn't have a single concern the day of our wedding. It was pure magic in large part because of Lindsey's thoroughness, care and expertise.
Wow. Where do I even begin? Hiring Lindsey, with Highland Avenue was one of the BEST decisions we made in our wedding planning process. Austin was a destination wedding for us, so we were planning from afar. Lindsey offered invaluable guidance on everything from vendors, to timeline, lighting, table settings, and more. She has en eye for details and design.
She handled the final walkthrough at our venue. And perhaps MOST important, she's incredibly organized and prompt in her responses. She was quick to reply throughout the planning process, and on wedding weekend, she was always present, staying in touch, but also handling all the little details.
Speaking of wedding day, Lindsey made sure everything went off without a hitch. We were able to relax and enjoy the day, as she handled vendor arrivals, set-up, and made sure the wedding party and guests knew where to be. At the reception, she directed the flow, getting parents for speeches, handing my husband and I champagne right before the toasts, making sure he and I were in place to cut the cake, even having the wedding party surround us for our first dance. She made the day perfect, and we TRULY could not have done it without her.
Lindsey was awesome to work with! We hired Lindsey to do month of coordination for our wedding and the moment I met with her all my worries went away. She was organized, punctual and I just felt at ease because you could just tell she knew exactly what she was doing and she was going to be on top of every single thing going on. She answered emails very quickly and she was super helpful answering any and all questions. There were times I needed advice on what to do in certain situations and she was there for me and helped me navigate through the entire process. She made sure that my family heirlooms were well taken care of and that we got everything back at the end of the night. I highly recommend Lindsey to help with any wedding or event. If I wasn't a coordinator myself I would have hired her to plan the entire wedding because I know I would have been in the best hands!! She is amazing!
As I try to come up with words to describe Lindsey and her services, there are truly so many that I don't even know where to begin. From our initial consult, we sensed and loved the intentional, comfortable way that Lindsey handled herself and her business. Her economy of words kept us moving forward and her ability to problem solve calmed any concerns. As the months passed, she continued to stay in touch...advising, informing and reassuring. Her gentle encouragement, thoughtful correspondence and can do attitude gave great peace of mind. When rain and cold weather put a temporary damper on the outdoor service, Lindsey quickly went to Plan B and to any outsider, Plan B appeared to be Plan A. She handled the transition effortlessly and without a hitch. The reception was handled superbly...timely, organized and with extremely smooth transitions. We are so grateful for having had the opportunity to meet and work with Lindsey! Deserving of 5 stars and more!!
Of all the decisions we made throughout our wedding planning process, hiring Highland Avenue was by far the best one. Lindsey was so incredible in every aspect; she was responsive, creative, listened to all of our ridiculous ideas and translated them into a beautiful cohesive event that was even more perfect than we could have ever dreamed of. We literally gave her "we want it to look like Lord of the Rings, Avatar, fairyland, mossy tropical island - but elegant not kitschy" and she didn't even hesitate to make that into a reality. She listened carefully to what we wanted and gave us suggestions on how to achieve the desired effect. She was with us through every step of the way, and it could not have been easier. She is calm, collected and beyond professional. We never felt overwhelmed or stressed in the process because she was on top of everything, and scheduled everything out so we never even had a chance to realize there was so much to do. We had a whopping 23 vendors at our event and it worked so seamlessly, that I was even shocked to find out we had that many! Most importantly though, she genuinely cares for you as a couple and for your vision, I feel like above all we made a wonderful friend throughout this process.
Simply the best. I honestly don't know where to begin. 100% thanks to Highland Avenue and Lindsey Farrell, my now husband and I had the wedding we always dreamed of! Lindsey helped us from day one to find the perfect venue, outline our budget and how to spend our funds effectively, she came up with an out of this world design that captured our style and everything about us, and it all went off BEAUTIFULLY on the wedding day! I loved getting to know Lindsey and she made the whole process fun and easy--particularly for a bride who was crazy overwhelmed with no idea where to begin. There's really no need to look elsewhere, Highland Avenue is worth every single penny, particularly in an industry where you get what you pay for. We looked at a lot of vendors before booking, and while HAE isn't the cheapest option in town, I am confident they are the very best! I'm still beaming from our day and will be forever thanks to all the hard work and TLC she and her team put into our wedding. AMAZING. Where do we even begin? Lindsey saved my husband and I on a wedding that was headed for a disaster. Everything had been going wrong until Lindsey was recommended by our venue. Not only was she extremely professional, answered emails promptly, beyond knowledgeable about wedding planning and design, but she was such a pleasure to be around and to get to know throughout this process. Lindsey was always calm and had everything under control - especially on the big day. We cannot imagine the wedding planning process without her, because everyone knows how stressful it can be. If you're looking for a wedding planner, do yourself a favor and choose Lindsey! We know you will find huge relief and comfort in having her be a part of your special day.
