The Mansion was the perfect venue to host our wedding! Not only was the historical atmosphere breathtaking and interesting for our guests, the modern amenities and staff were all extremely nice as well. We saved a lot by not needing to decorate as everything we could have asked for was already a part of this beautiful venue. The staff was also very helpful with planning, the walk through, and day of. We couldn't have picked a better venue for what we needed!
We had our wedding here and cannot express how amazing it was!! The mansion is beautiful and all our guests were raving about the venue! All the staff were so helpful, nice, and made our day as seamless and perfect as possible! I cannot recommend the highlands ranch mansion enough for a wedding!!
A perfect day at a beautiful venue. Our wedding day was absolutely dreamy! The staff at the Mansion were a pleasure to work with - and the estate was maintained with an unparalleled attention to detail.
Highlands Ranch Mansion is a stunning venue with a fairytale ambiance, which transports you to another time. Our August 2024 wedding was truly magical and our guests were in awe of the meticulously maintained grounds and historic charm. The mansion provided them a lovely experience, and for the price, it couldn't get any better! I will note that as this is a historic building owned by the local government, it comes with corresponding liabilities and limitations which limit your vendor options (read: probably not the best fit for a super DIY bride). Having to choose vendors with a certain level of insurance and caterers from their approved list raised our costs significantly. That said, it made our day that much more smooth to have hired professionals for every role. Upon reflection, I wouldn't change a thing!
The team at Highlands Ranch was consistently professional, prompt, and a pleasure to work with throughout the entire planning process. I only wish we could have spent more time there! Highlands Ranch Mansion will forever live in one of our fondest memories. If you choose this venue for your celebration, you truly can't go wrong with any of their (many) event spaces.
The Mansion was absolutely amazing! We got a ton of compliments about how expensive the venue appeared to be, yet it was super affordable. Christina and Courtney were amazing and helped us with everything we needed to make our day everything we needed it to be.
If you’re looking for a show stopping venue, look no further. The highlands ranch mansion is INCREDIBLE. Our guests could not stop talking about how stunning it was. Between the flowers, history, and incredible architecture, it was exactly what we were looking for. Courtney and Madison were extremely helpful and attentive throughout the entire planning process. Couldn’t recommend HRM more!!
The Highlands Ranch Mansion will forever hold a special place in our hearts because of the beautiful day we had there. The building and grounds are absolutely gorgeous and offers so much for a wedding. There is a beautiful indoor ceremony spot that is light and airy and many outdoor ceremony spots as well. One thing I loved about this space is how easy it was to divide our day in. There were separate ceremony, cocktail hour and reception spaces that we were able to utilize throughout the whole day and helped divide the day as well. There is also a ton of flexibility for how the space is used, and the staff was more than happy to walk us through that! There was also plenty of areas for our guests to explore and they all mentioned how much fun they had exploring a mansion. It was all beautiful and picturesque.
The staff we worked with, Courtney and Christina, were quick to respond to all of our emails and were wonderful to work with. Christina was the one to help us with our day of event and it all went so smoothly because of her and her team.
Finally, I can say that the mansion has a set list of caterers and I actually found this very helpful when picking vendors. I had such peace of mind knowing that the day of my wedding would have vendors that were actually familiar with the mansion. It was stress free because of this.
I would highly recommend the mansion as a wedding venue for anyone who wants an elegant, beautiful, and memorable day.
10/10! The Mansion itself is a beauty beyond words and the staff is even more incredible. We enjoyed our wedding reception for 100+ here in early April and we highly recommend it as a venue. The flow of the night was seamless. We had a dove release, cocktail hour, and dinner all in separate but intimate spaces and got to use the upstairs as a babysitting area, it was beyond perfect. Christina and Courtney were the best event coordinators ever, and communicated beautifully. Absolutely pick Highlands Ranch Mansion for your next event!
The mansion is an amazing wedding venue! We fell in love at first sight. There is so much space available to you and of the historic properties in the Metro area, you won't find one that has nearly this much to offer at this price. It is immaculately maintained compared to some we saw, and options you have for photos are incredible any time of year.
There are almost too many choices for where you can have your ceremony, but you can't go wrong with any of them. We got married in December with live musicians, so we used the Solarium and it was an excellent backdrop for our ceremony.
Both the bride and groom have access to great suites to get ready in. They are on separate floors, so you will not see each other unless you make that choice.
The reception hall has ample space to host dinner and dancing. We had ~100 people and did not need to move tables out of the way to provide a dance floor after dinner.
The mansion provides a stunning background - inside and outside - for any special event. So happy we got married here!
Last note: the bathrooms at the mansion are top notch as well. At some of the mansions around town, you'll only find single occupancy restrooms. Here you have full, modern bathrooms.
Highly recommend selecting the Highlands Ranch Mansion as a wedding venue. It is one of the most stunning venues in the area and was the perfect place for our wedding. It's picturesque and has various options for where to host your event. We did the ceremony on the east lawn, cocktail hour in the Solarium and back patio, and reception in the main hall. We had 200 guests and had plenty of space for everyone throughout the day. The historic mansion was a unique and special location that our guests loved. We worked with Courtney & Madison as our main points of contact, who were both incredible partners. Note that you must purchase alcohol from the Mansion and use one of their preferred caterers. Highly recommend this as a magical, beautiful wedding venue!
On October 21, 2023 my daughter and son-in-law had a themed Beauty &the Beast wedding at the Highlands Ranch Mansion. The mansion was the perfect venue along with the couple encompassing the characters! The wedding seemed to touch all the guests, wedding party, venders and the staff. The staff was amazing they made sure everything was just right! I would recommend the HRM highly to anyone planning a special wedding!
Choosing the venue is the first thing we did, the importance of having a good venue is what starts a MAGICAL wedding experience.
Our wedding at the Highlands Ranch Mansion was straight out of a fairytale. The historic architecture combined with the picturesque gardens delivered a backdrop of timeless elegance, making our day enchanting.
Special kudos to Madison, our event coordinator. Her professionalism and dedication ensured every detail was spot-on. Working with the attentive staff at the Highlands Ranch Mansion was a breeze; they transformed our dreams into reality- even when it rained all day and we had to move our ceremony inside.
The mansion's ambiance, rich with historic significance, added a unique charm to our memories. We wholeheartedly recommend this venue. The blend of grandeur, service, and enchantment is unparalleled. If you're seeking an extraordinary wedding experience- Highlands Ranch Mansion is the way to go.

I was extremely happy with the HR mansion for my wedding. The grounds and overall ease of ceremony and reception place in one location was a shoe in for us! They have SO many options if weather or vibes change throughout your wedding planning process - no need to stress or have a weather backup plan. They are ready to tackle just about anything! I had a tornado hit the venue 24 hours before my wedding. We had to change the location of the ceremony last minute due to chainsaw noise in the background (LOL) and Madison helped me and my fiancé' think through our options and had everything setup moments later!! The grounds team was all hands on deck cleaning up the space as there were many fallen trees and debris spread throughout. I cannot thank Madison, Courtney, and the team for their efforts and communication through the whole process! 10/10 experience -- thank you!!
Highlands Ranch Mansion (HRM) is simply the best and I’m so glad we had our special day there! Words cannot express how much we loved the mansion and its staff. Every part of the mansion is pristinely kept and the mansion and the grounds are simply breathtaking. Oddly enough, our absolutely favorite part were all of the gorgeous bathrooms, we've never seen anything like them! We are also incredibly grateful for all the fabulous wedding vendors HRM recommended and above all, we’re forever indebted to HRM for recommending the best wedding planner a couple could ask for, Ashley Cunningham of Thoughtfully Curated Events. We owe so much of our special day to HRM.
THANK YOU!!!!
Courtney and Christina were wonderful to work with. The day of the wedding went off beautifully (even with a little rain). All of our guests marveled at the splendor and beauty of the mansion and the surrounding landscape. I would HIGHLY recommend this venue!
This event space is absolutely stunning! Courtney and Madison were so easy going and we enjoyed working with both of them. They had great advise and responded quickly. If you are looking for a place to get married near Denver this is the perfect event space. The event room was huge and allowed for a spread out dinner and a large dance floor. The allow use of the entire mansion which is beautiful and fun for guests to walk around.
The event space was gorgeous and was able to accommodate our wedding perfectly. The entire space was amazing, from the bridal suite down to the guest bathrooms. The ceremony and reception space were a dream! The staff was very kind and considerate, and our day went off without a hitch, thanks to them. Shout out to Courtney and Christina! They were great about keeping in contact with us and setting up several meetings in advance to go over any details we might not have considered. Overall, I cannot imagine having my special day anywhere else.
Walking up to the Highlands Ranch Mansion, you will feel like you are in a fairytale. The location is timeless, classy, and warms the heart. We selected this venue for our Oct '22 wedding ceremony and reception. When touring this venue, it did not take me long to know this was the place I wanted to have my wedding. There are many spaces around the property to hold the ceremony and/or reception (and take amazing photos!). The staff are friendly and efficient. We worked with Courtney who was lovely to work with and very professional and prompt in communication. This is not their first rodeo and they will get the job done to help you have a wonderful wedding.
That being said, things you will want to keep in mind is that this is a historical location and the additional fees, policies, and liabilities will reflect that. Their policies are very strict so this may not be the location for you if you are on a very low budget and/or want to throw a "crazy" wedding reception. There may also be a few things you will have to do without because they might affect the integrity of the property. The largest issue we ran into with the mansion was the cost of the alcohol and the policies connected to it (you can only purchase alcohol for your event through them and cannot bring in any outside alcohol). The rates are extremely high and honestly feels like a bit of a scam so be careful when going through their alcohol menu. Vendors I spoke to in the wedding business did comment that compared to other venues, the mansion is terrible when it comes to their alcohol policies and pricing. In retrospect, had we known and truly understood all these additional fees and policies early on (and not late in the game), we might have considered a different venue as this took up a way larger portion of our overall budget than originally planned.
But again, the wedding itself turned out perfect, the mansion were fantastic hosts, the property was beautiful, the staff were professional and kind. So if you have the budget allowed to have your event at such a lavish and memorable venue, then this may be the place for you! I will never forget it!
The Highlands Ranch Mansion is an absolutely beautiful location for a wedding! We loved having our ceremony on the front lawn, the cocktails inside the gorgeous main rooms and the reception in the amazing reception hall. The venue coordinators, Courtney and Madison were always very helpful and sweet during the planning process. I would probably give it 4 stars because I hope at some point they will decide to jump into the wedding arena even more by providing linens, table settings, decor etc. (this was a very big and difficult part of our planning process and could have saved us a lot of time, organization and extra work) but the venue was so lovely and the people so great that I will give it 5. This could be such a great service for their renters as the venue is of the most beautiful around!! We will cherish the memories of the day and are thankful we chose this location!
Absolutely gorgeous backdrop for a wedding! Excellent communication from the beginning and delivered exactly what we wanted. It is a public historical museum but closed during events. Lots of space indoors and out for guests to explore during the event.
Highlands Ranch Mansion is such a beautiful place to get married. My husband and I ran into this beautiful historical venue on The Knot and found it is really close to where we live. The place is quiet and intimate and our family and friends all had a great time. Courtney and Harlan are very helpful, responsible and knowledgeable, we really enjoyed working with them to figure out the details of our wedding and reception. Courtney has helped us with multiple arrangements/plans to different weather conditions on the wedding day and we really appreciate all her hard work. I will definitely recommend this venue for wedding and reception!! It’s a 10/10 experience!!
We loved having our special day here. It was truly magical. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly and they helped us move our wedding inside before it rained on us. We had an amazing, amazing wedding. Everyone who attended appeared to have enjoyed the event and we were complimented on our choice of venue multiple times. It feels like a castle and it was an incredible experience. Thank you!
Our wedding was absolutely AMAZING at the Highlands Ranch Mansion. We were part of the COVID weddings and originally we were going to get married in 2020. We moved our wedding to 2021 and they were amazing to work with and made sure I was happy with any changes that were made. They do have specific vendors they want you to use, but they truly are wonderful. We received so many compliments from our guests about what a great venue it was and were told multiple times that it was one of the best weddings they had ever attended. Our guests enjoyed exploring the mansion while we finished our pictures and it is gorgeous in its natural beauty. You can add as many or as little decorations because it is just beautiful. The mansion staff were very easy to work with and we had the wedding of our dreams! Highly Recommended!
This venue is absolutely stunning! Jaye and Charlissa were so helpful throughout the entire planning process and especially through navigating a wedding during a pandemic. They were extremely attentive and always replied quickly with the many questions I had. I would get married here all over again!
The mansion was absolutely gorgeous. I had a fairytale wedding and all the guests loved being able to tour the entire mansion. There is so much history in every room, it made the wedding feel magical.
My only complaint is about the alcohol. The alcohol was expensive, and because we did a cash bar we had a limited variety. Other than that the mansion was incredible, Charlissa and Jaye were super helpful.
We absolutely loved this venue for our reception. Being able to utilize all of the Mansion for us was a huge highlight. We even had our dance floor on the front veranda and I was able to throw my bouquet off the balcony! I have only good things to say about the venue contacts, they were so helpful and creative during this wild COVID time!
The search for the perfect wedding venue was a very important one. I was planning a Harry Potter themed wedding, so I needed a venue that visually fit. Of course, what could be better than a historic mansion! It became my own personal castle that day, and we recreated the Great Hall, complete with the long house tables and candles floating in the air. Having a space to get ready upstairs was really fantastic. The only bummer was that we weren’t allowed to use sparklers for our exit. Jaye and Charlie were absolutely wonderful to work with throughout the entire process, and I couldn’t have been happier. My guests were in awe of the mansion’s beauty, and it will be a very special place for my husband and I for the rest of our lives.
The Highlands Ranch Mansion was a magical place to get married. We had such a positive experience with all the staff, especially Courtney, our day of coordinator. Couldn't have asked for a better place to get married. We enjoyed our time there so much that we wished we could have had the venue for a couple more hours. Thanks Highlands Ranch Mansion!
The Highlands Ranch Mansion is the most exquisite place to get married. It was literally a dream come true. The mansion is kept in pristine condition inside and out. We came back to visit the mansion in every season after we booked and the landscaping is kept perfect year round!! Our photographer had no problem finding areas for photos! The bridal area is also ridiculously huge and beyond beautiful. The staff is so friendly and easy to work with. Jaye and Charlie made everything happen seamlessly. The prices are perfectly reasonable and you get to customize quite a bit. I wish I could have every big event at the mansion because it is absolutely sensational and definitely a showstopper for your guests!
We absolutely loved our fairytale wedding at the HR Mansion. Having grown up in Highlands Ranch, this beautiful location was always on my mind. It was phenomenal to be married in such a stunning, historical venue. This we especially loved:
- The gorgeous grounds and having it ALL to ourselves for our event. The grounds were closed to the public and we didn't have to worry about sharing with another party.
- Our guests were free to explore all of the grounds, which made for an awesome cocktail hour!
- The staff was super attentive and easy to work with. From the get-go, all of the staff that we worked with were attentive, helpful, and knowledgeable. They were quick to answer questions and email back, and our walk-through with Charlie was wonderful. She was always on our team and made sure we had all of our extensive list of questions answered!
- The bridal suite and grooms room were a dream to get ready in! Some venues we looked at lacked great getting-ready spaces, but here, both the guys and the girls had great spaces!
- There was plenty of space for our guests, wedding ceremony on the front lawn, and reception space, including enough parking for everyone.
Things we wish could have been different:
- Overall cost. Yes, we could have opted for another venue if we didn't like the cost, but we loved the venue, so we paid what we had to. The overall fee seemed a bit high for the limited amount of event time you got. You could have paid more for additional hours, but that only would have started the event earlier.
- Length of event: Because of noise ordinances around the area, you HAVE to conclude your event by 9pm on Sunday/weeknights, or 11pm on Friday or Saturdays. We were originally going to do a Sunday wedding, but when we discovered we'd have to be out by 9pm, we quickly changed our tune. We wished our party could have gone on even longer the night of our wedding! We felt so rushed in starting our ceremony at 6, reception starting at 7:30, and then needing to be done by 11. We didn't even get to talk to half of our guests!
- There are limited options in catering. While we appreciate that they have a list of select caterers who have worked at the Mansion before, it limited you to six options, which then also influences your overall budget! We were shocked in getting quotes from caterers because it was WAY more than we were anticipating, but we were locked in to choosing one of their six choices, or else we would have had to pay a whole lot more for the facility fee. We scrimped and pinched pennies every way we could with catering, but still paid quite a lot. Be prepared, if you choose the Mansion.
- Alcohol: you have to order alcohol ahead of time through the Mansion, which means you have to do a LOT of calculations and hoping you order correctly! They do buy back some of your unopened products if you happen to over-order. Ultimately, this wasn't terrible, just a bit stressful trying to guess who much our guests would drink and hoping we didn't over or under-estimate.
- Ceremony fee: as if you weren't already paying a pretty penny for a reception venue, you are charged an additional amount if you want to have your ceremony on site.
We loved our wedding - I wish we could go back and do it all over again! I just wanted to express some of the things I wish could have been changed about the venue for anyone looking for potential places. Still an absolute dream setting with so much beauty and history!
HRM was wonderful! The staff was very accommodating and prepared for our large group. We couldn't have been happier with the venue!
We loved having our wedding at Highlands Ranch Mansion!
It was truly a fairy tale like setting, and there was lots of room for everything we needed from getting ready in the large bedrooms to a beautiful outdoor ceremony on the grounds to an indoor reception in the Great Hall to yard games for our guests in the back lawns.
The staff was fantastic to work with and truly went the extra mile for us, including a quick sprint to dry off ceremony chairs just before our wedding due to morning rain!
It was lovely to get married at a castle! Our guests couldn't stop talking about it. And it certainly made our photos AMAZING.
This venue was incredible. Our wedding turned out AMAZING! We were able to have our ceremony outside and the reception inside. They have a huge bridal suite and a grooms room. So much space on the property. Only down side, it can get pricey. There are a lot of fee's especially if you go with outside lenders so make sure to do your research. We weren't able to do our sparkler exit because of a fire ban put on the county the week before, but all in all, we have no regrets! We worked with Courtney and she was great! She always got everything up to date and kept us in the loop on everything during the whole planning process. We had a great experience!
The wedding was everything we had hoped for and more. Thank you so much for giving brides and grooms such a beautiful and memorable space to celebrate. Our guests were wowed by the beauty of the mansion and G and I were so happy. Not only is the space stunning but the mansion staff went above and beyond to accommodate our guests by creating a comfortable space for breastfeeding mamas to nurse and change the babies in private.
Before we decided to get married at the mansion, we read quite a few reviews about people being annoyed with restrictions. We wanted to say that we did not have any issues with restrictions and felt that any and all requests made by the mansion in terms of usage were completely reasonable. This is a historic building that should be treated with respect just as any other space should. Don’t be put off by those reviews, friends!
Courtney - you were lovely and we appreciate everything you guys did the help set up the day.
Highlands Ranch Mansion was a beautiful place to host a wedding, and we enjoyed having the full building and grounds just for our guests. Jaye was a pleasure to work with through the process. The other staff member working the day of our event was a little disengaged, including miscommunication with the DJ and difficulty finding the wheelchair, so I wish his service had been up to par with the price. As other reviewers mention, there is very little flexibility (allowed vendors, availability to discuss with staff or do rehearsal) but I felt that parameters were clearly communicated and are fair, given this is a historic building that has open hours to the community and other events.
This venue is GOLD! It is definitely affordable, given all the beauty, intricacies of the decor, and the sheer size of the grounds! This is the perfect spot to get married right outside of Denver (tip: save room in your budget for shuttles, as it may be easy to Uber THERE but it is not as readily available at 11pm on a weekend to return to Denver). The service and expertise given to us by Jaye and Courtney was as helpful as it was professional. It was an easy process to plan our wedding here, and we are so glad we did. HRM made for the most beautiful backdrop for our ceremony/family photos on the front lawn..the bridal suite is so airy & dreamy and the groom's suite is a quintessential card room perfect for a group of handsome gents! It is best to work with a wedding planner (we used Milk Glass Productions) to organize all the vendors you'll need. Can't recommend this place enough!! Thank you!
Fantastic venue- we just had our reception there and it was beautiful!
This venue is not ideal for outside catering or for an on-budget wedding. This venue is very expensive, with extra fees and costs scattered throughout. Stated "reasonable" alcohol prices are certainly not. The historic nature of the Mansion is beautiful. I am so glad that it was restored! However, I caution future couples in using this as a wedding venue. Not worth all of the struggle and strain that was caused.
I can not say enough great things about choosing the Highlands Ranch Mansion for our wedding. Jaye Dixon was absolutely incredible throughout the entire process and was always helpful and organized-- even with my countless questions. The space is unbelievable-- with 27,000 feet there are so many options for layout and how to use the grounds for your wddding, cocktail hour, and reception. We heard rave reviews from all of our guests and they enjoyed taking a tour of the mansion during cocktail hour. Since it is a historical site, there isn't any budging on the rules. Jaye does a great job of explaining everything clearly upfront so nothing was a surprise.
The Highlands Ranch Mansion was the perfect venue to host our wedding. The Mansion is huge and so versatile for all different types of weddings. All of our guests were blown away and we received so many compliments about the venue. The Mansion coordinator, Jaye, was a dream to work with from start to finish as she made the whole planning process easy. We could not have asked for a better venue and would highly recommend the Highlands Ranch Mansion to anyone.
The Highlands Ranch Mansion was a dream come true for us and we could not have imagined having our wedding reception anywhere else! Jaye and her staff are easy to work with and do a great job customizing your event.
I thought I had hit the jackpot when I found out Highlands Ranch Mansion was opening up for public events and weddings. It was exactly what we were looking for in a venue. Don't get me wrong, I loved having my wedding there. It was absolutely gorgeous, but thank G-d I had such amazing vendors. If not, I believe the staff at HRM would have made the day a complete wreck. The staff seems to make up answers to make you happy and then goes back on their word later. I know they are still figuring out the intricacies of renting their space, but I had to argue several "new" charges that surfaced several months after I signed a contract - note that these charges were not outlined in the contract or any supporting material. They were added on later and the staff was retroactively attempting to charge brides. On the day of the wedding (after we paid an extra "ceremony fee" which I was told was basically for setup and tear down of the ceremony chairs outside) The HRM staff placed enough chairs outside to keep 40 of my guests standing. We had to postpone the start of my ceremony while the staff quickly put out more chairs. My guest count was known, I paid extra for "chair setup" and they still didn't get it right. The night before the wedding we found out they had ordered the wrong size stage even though we had in writing that they would order one with specific size instructions from our band. We ended up calling another vendor late that evening to fix their mess. I've been told by their staff that this is our own problem even though we rented the stage through the mansion. In fact, we're still trying to sort out the stage mess and we have been trying to reach their staff for 3 months now to no avail. I have had 2 other friends get married there with similar horror stories. One showed up for their scheduled rehearsal only to find the venue locked with no one in site. They just forgot about them. Another paid extra for specialty liquor and found out the day of that it was never ordered. The lack of responsiveness, ownership, attention to detail, and service is really atrocious for such a gorgeous venue. I hope they figure it out soon, it really is sad to see other brides go through the same thing...
