Location, location, location! Our guests had a great visit to Boston! They could walk to all of the stores and restaurants without moving their car! The staff were so nice and on top of everything!
We had a larger wedding - with a lot of folks from out of town coming into Boston for the big event - so, we knew we wanted a location in the middle of the city, where guests could sight-see while in town. We feel in love with the Hilton Back Bay's ballroom - especially after seeing the amazing damask lanterns on the ceiling (instead of cheesy chandeliers)! But, had no idea the incredible value we would be getting with their wedding package – it is a fantastic price for some of the best service I’ve ever experienced. We booked the venue about two years before our wedding – and now that the wedding is over, I can honestly say I could never imagine having our reception anywhere else!
From the moment we signed the contract through the post-nuptial brunch the entire staff at the Hilton Back Bay was amazing! Our main contact, Danielle Bega, was fantastic in helping us create the wedding reception we had long dreamed of/planned for. She was organized, helpful and so easy-going during the entire process – it made things so stress-free! The service she, and the rest of the staff, provided to us/our guests was just incredible – I heard raves from our wedding guests, including many who stayed over-night at the hotel. Everyone from the front desk, to the wait staff at the reception, through the valets were pleasant, professional and always willing to help answer questions.
And, on top of the amazing service, the food at our wedding was delicious! It was much better than “typical” hotel wedding food… Even my pickiest of guests enjoyed their meals.
I would recommend the Hilton Boston Back Bay to anyone looking to host their wedding in a Boston location.
Leading up to my wedding I was thrilled to have found the Hilton. you definitely get a lot for your money. Now that its over, there are definitely things I have complaints about. Frist, the wedding planner I booked with left, she emailed me on a Tuesday that Friday was her last day. Another even planner took over my wedding. She was nice, and very accomodating to my requests. I was initially told that the ballroom could hold 200 people no problem. Two weeks before the wedding they decided it could not and had to redo the entire layout that we had decided on. I did like it in the end, but a little stressful right before the wedding. Second, included in my package was free parking for both reception and overnight guests. We specifically asked if the garage ever fill up. they said no. Well it did the night of my wedding forcing guests to find parking elsewhere and have to pay, which I felt horrible about. Then when everyone checked out they were all charged the $41 parking fee even though in my contract I signed it was included in what I paid for the wedding. They did reverse the charges but it was aggrevating havign to deal with it. The bridal suite had a room with two queens adjoining....I book this the night before the wedding for my bridesmaids to stay with me. When we checked in that room was occupied so that idea went out the window. Also very dissapointing. The bar at some point during the reception ran out of vodka and the food and beverage manager was not very accomodating in trying to fix it. Overall most of my guests has a great time but it was these little things that bothered me and that we thought we took care of before the wedding. Besides that, they are flexible, work with you, the food is good and hotel is spotless.
We had such a wonderful experience hosting our wedding at the Hilton Boston Back Bay I can't even begin to explain it. Everything from the wedding coordinator to the accommodations to the facilities themselves was just outstanding. We always felt taken care of, we were treated like royalty, the staff at the hotel was beyond fabulous, and best of all our guests raved about how wonderful it was. We had our ceremony, reception, day after brunch, and all of our guests hosted at the hotel for a long weekend. There were no problems with anything! The room block went smoothly, the front desk passed out our welcome bags, everything was accessible to us and set up as promised. I just can't believe how fantastic the weekend was and how wonderful everyone at the hotel was. Honestly, every single staff member we encountered was so friendly, helpful, polite, accommodating, and went out of their way to make this event special.
We would definitely recommend using this hotel for any event. The location can't be beat and the service they provide is outstanding.
The Hilton Boston Back Bay offers an amazing wedding package that is more than worth the cost. So many options and opportunities to customize allow you to make sure you get what you want. The staff there are the best! I can't say enough good things about the quality of the service they provided. Everyone was ready to help and was so kind. The event services manager Erin handled everything we asked of her and more. Roberto managed everything from set up of furniture to making sure the bar had what we needed. Mar the head waiter was there to attend to everything we needed and often before we knew we needed something.
A great place to have a wedding!
Immediately after meeting Jocelyn Della Rosa, and seeing the reception venue, I knew right away that the Hilton Boston Back Bay was perfect for our wedding reception.
We have been impressed with all of the staff we encountered at the Hilton Boston Back Bay. They are professional, helpful, kind, and extremely flexible.
Jocelyn was able to provide many helpful tips and ideas for the reception, and guided us through the planning of the reception with ease.
Despite flooding in Boston on the day of our wedding, our guests had a wonderful time. The setup of the room was really well done. We loved our little sweetheart table. We heard from many people how much they enjoyed themselves! We also heard complements from other tables that they were impressed with the service they received. We were really happy to hear that everyone loved the food!! We heard from many, many people that they loved the mushroom raviolis. We also heard that the steaks were cooked perfectly. The dessert station was a hit, and the parents' of the children were really glad they had the separate room for the kids to hang out in!
We are so glad we decided to choose the Hilton Boston Back Bay as our wedding reception! Everyone had a great time!
My husband and I recently got married at the Hilton. Jocelyn was great to work with-very responsive and easy to work with, the food was great. My guests had a wonderful time. The one thing they could work on is the vendor meal pricing. Other than that, our experience was a good one and I would recommend them to other brides and grooms to be.
This venue was a great place to host a weekend of wedding events!! We started with a Friday night rehearsal cocktail party, the food was great, the presentation creative, and the atomosphere was right on. Saturday, the accodmodations for our wedding prep, were beautiful with suite overlooking the city. Then the reception came together exactly as I imagined it would be. Jocelyn Della Rosa, the Hilton's catering manager was fabulous. She was there from the very beginning of the planning stages, and was always available to answer my questions or with suggestions. I met with her the day before the wedding to go over the reception details, and there was nothing she didn't miss. All in all, we had a great experience with the hotel and the quality of the food (AWESOME FOOD) at the reception and cocktail party. All of our guests said they had the best time, and so did we!
We got married at the Back Bay Hilton in April of 2009. Everything from the cake to the hotel room the night of was taken care of! They left no detail out and spared no expense. This place truly is champagne taste on a beer budget! Jocelyn Della Rossa was wonderful and helping us pick out everything we needed. It was wonderful that she was there the day of the event as well. It made me feel a lot less nervous to know that someone was taking care of it all behind the scenes.
If your guests are from out of town they will love the fact that its truly in the center of town. My guests were so pleased that they could walk all over Boston and have a center point to come back to.
What I really loved was that even though this is a big hotel, on the day of my wedding I felt like my guests, my fiance and I were the only ones.
