Very professional and beautiful venue. My neice was very happy with the service she received and the event planner was very hands on and helpful throughout the whole process. I believe his name is Randy. He helped her with the entire process from our first tour and on and we really appreciate his help! Food was great and the room with the balcony is just beautiful. I will be recommending this venue to friends and family in the future.
We could not have asked for a better venue for our reception! Our Maitre D, Randy, was so professional and thorough throughout the process! He and the rest of the staff made us feel very comfortable and special on our wedding day. They were attentive and willing to assist us and our guests throughout the night. Our guests have been raving about the food and joyous atmosphere of the hotel! We highly recommend having your wedding (or other celebratory event) at the Hilton Philadelphia City Avenue!
The Hilton at City Avenue was the perfect venue for our special day, Randy went above and beyond to fulfill our dreams. The venue is spectacular, the staircase in the middle is like been on a movie. I like simple things, so we didn't have many decorations, but the linens and the venue itself was amazing.
On the wedding day, your head is on another planet, and they coordinated everything, and everything was perfect. They put together stuff and organized everything, they did stuff that I didn't even know we needed.
Every wedding has a hiccup and mine was not an exception, Randy, Gerald and their team worked together, and my guest has no idea of what happened.
The appetizers, the food and the drinks were good and plenty, guest were definitely not hungry.
A wedding at the Hilton City Avenue is a memorable experience for the bride and the groom and for all the guests. Love every moment. The Hilton at city avenue has the best team, good people with big hearts working to make your special day an unforgettable experience.
We had our wedding on 5/13/23. Prior to our booking of this venue, we searched and came across this lovely hotel that had great ballrooms, nice rooms and a nice restaurant. The price was in our budget so we went forward with our wedding being there. We were granted a free complement wedding night in the bridal suite which was spacious and accommodating. The issues we had was the communication on the day of wedding with the hotel management was all over the place. We were promised certain times to be allowed into certain rooms to prepare, get ready in or to start decorating but instead those times were pushed back due to whatever other events that was going on on the same day as our wedding. Which made the timing of my wedding preparations later than it should have been with my vendors. We were able to push those concerns aside when we finally was able to get into the rooms. From there everything went fine until the dinner portion arrived and the salads was not prepared properly. Some of guest had complaints and that put a small damper on our wedding reception. The night continued on and ended on a great note but the hotel management needs to do better with honoring the contract that clients sign/pay for. Clients spend way too much money to be dealing with that many hiccups. More staff is needed to handle multiple events happening on the same day. Or stop over booking your venues if not enough staff is available to execute. When we or our wedding coordinators asked questions we were either given no answer or was given a rude response at times from some personnel. Almost like we needed to figure it out on our own. After awhile another manager assisted our coordinators with everything they needed and that was appreciated (his name was either Steve or Eric I think). I will stay here again for just a regular stay but for booking for an event I’m not so sure. Kris was a wonderful person to work with dealing with blocked rooms/reservations. Randy was good but he did a lot of flip flopping with important information. Saying one thing and then changing information last minute. Randy tried rectifying the issues we endured with crediting us some funds back from an extra stay we booked with the bridal suite. Overall when booking an event here be ready to stay on top of management with everything and I mean EVERYTHING!
Ballrooms were beautiful and we were so comfortable the whole weekend staying at the Hilton as we were an out of town wedding. We were taken care of by Randy and our wedding day went so smoothly! Highly recommend getting married at Hilton Philadelphia city Ave!

If you are looking for a wedding venue that will give you the night of your dreams, look no further! From the day that we looked at this venue and met Randy, the coordinator, I knew this was where I wanted our wedding to be. Randy is the most professional and courteous person that you can work with, always with a smile on his face. He is so easy to work with, setting your mind at ease and knowing that in his hands, your wedding will be absolutely perfect. He is very responsive, getting back to you very quickly and ensuring that all of your needs are met. Every meeting we had with him was pleasant, and he made us always feel like an honored guest.
We had a few little out there requests for our reception, but Randy not only met them, but exceeded our expectations. He really knows how to make planning a wedding easy for you. I dropped off all of the extra decorations I had for the reception hall the night before the wedding, and he and his staff did a phenomenal job putting everything together and making the reception absolutely breathtaking!
Our wedding reception was absolutely phenomenal and perfect thanks to him. He and his staff checked in frequently throughout the night to make sure everything was running smoothly and if we or our guests needed anything. And the food was delicious! Several of our wedding guests are still raving about it. They truly did a fantastic job giving us the wedding of our dreams, and we could not be more thankful for having the opportunity to work with Randy and putting our wedding in his hands.

We had our wedding on August 10, 2019 in the Garden Ballroom. The room is beautiful, and the balcony is an excellent touch for newlyweds to make their grand entrance as husband and wife. Our reception was everything we excepted and more! We are still receiving compliments on how wonderful everything came together that day. Randy and his team were amazing and an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish! His staff, along with his preferred list of vendors understood my vision and executed every detail without complaints. Randy took care of EVERYTHING!-Recommendations for cocktail hour appetizers, entrée selections for my wedding day as well as my rehearsal dinner, napkin colors, table placement etc. Admittedly, I am very picky about food and everything tasted delicious. Any future bride should feel comfortable working with Randy. Trust me.... the man knows what he is doing!!! You won’t be disappointed!!!
Although we have not had our wedding as of yet, we felt we needed to write a review. From the initial email we sent and received the response from Jeby, she has been nothing short of friendly, helpful but also so professional. She has answered every little question without any issue and always so prompt even before we booked. Her willingness to help and make the day goes as smooth as possible made our decision to book so simple. After our first meeting with Jeby, we knew we wanted to work with her. She is amazing and makes you feel so comfortable. We are still in the early planning stages, but are so thankful and excited to have Jeby on our team for the big day.
My daughters wedding was everything I dreamed of. Randy guided us and was very accommodating, always with a smile! He helped us execute a beautiful and magical evening for everyone. THANK YOU to Randy and staff who worked very hard on our behalf!
We recently got married at the Hilton City Avenue and everything turned out really well! Randy (the in house planner) is the most unbelievable person that you'll ever meet. He is so on top of every detail. He follows every request to the end. Also, the ballroom is so beautiful. The food was delicious! They were able to accommodate every dietary need. Everyone loved our wedding!
Our wedding reception in the Garden Ballroom was everything we could have ever wanted and more! Randy was absolutely fantastic. He was organized, helpful, and focused the entire evening. Randy took the time to make sure everything was running smoothly and that everything was taken care of. The other staff members of the evening were also very attentive and accommodating. The ballroom was beautiful and the decorations were arranged perfectly according to our requests. The food was delicious! From cocktail hour to the main course all the food was perfectly executed. We could not have asked for a more delightful evening!

Everything was beautiful and things flowed smoothly at the Hotel. Our guests stayed for the weekend. Rooms were amazing:comfortable and clean. We loved the 3rd floor because we never had to use the elevator. We were near the staircase.
Randy, the Manager, was fantastic! He was everywhere doing everything. He is so nice and so capable. Always anticipating our needs in a pleasant way.The food was outstanding and the decor was elegant. The servers were pleasant. The valets and front desk and staff were all very helpful. We were so pleased with everything. Our guests told us it was the nicest wedding ever!
Our vendor's punctuality, personality and professionalism absolutely blew away my wife and I from the very start. Randy Schaller and the entire Hilton City Ave staff presented us with an extremely reasonable and inclusive package that rendered our decision a no-brainer, assisted us throughout the preparation process, and performed phenomenally on our big night.
When we dropped the ball on certain details, they were right there to help us pick it up with a smile on their faces. They did not ask too much of us or rush us when we were vacillating. The food was otherworldly. Make sure you ask for the Salmon and the Chicken Breast with the knotted long bean! Everything else we tasted was great as well, however.
Trust me, we are not the only ones who've raved about Mr. Schaller and the Hilton City Ave as you can probably see with other reviews. Most, if not all, of our guests enjoyed the evening. Believe me, I can give a poor review and find opportunities for improvement, but I don't have any for the Hilton City Ave. Many parts of our day could've been better, but the service of the Hilton City Ave is not one of those parts. Meet with Randy Schaller, and you'll see!!
This place is incredible. The venue itself is beautiful and will blow you away. The food is delicious and they were so accommodating for special requests for a few of our guests. Randy was amazing to work with from day one. He was one of the main reasons why we chose the Hilton Philadelphia City Ave. He answered any questions in a timely manner, helped make recommendations, and made the venue into our vision for the wedding. We selected the Hilton Philadelphia - City Avenue for our wedding reception venue as it offered the best overall value among the venues we explored - great location that was easy to access for in and out of town guests, a nice hotel on site, and a beautiful and spacious ballroom. Randy, the Director of Catering, put our minds at ease that we were making the right choice from day one with his professional demeanor and considerable experience running weddings at the venue. Thanks to Randy and Hilton staff, the planning process was smooth and enjoyable, from the initial tour, through contract signing, tasting (the food was excellent!), and of course the wedding day itself. Randy introduced us to Geraldo who served as the maitre d' for our reception and together they did a phenomenal job putting on a first-class event that we have received numerous compliments on from our guests both during the reception and in the days since. As an example of the focus on attention to detail, Randy reminded my wife it was time to bustle her gown and helped us coordinate a last minute change we needed to make to the pairings and order of introductions for the bridal party. Overall we had a wonderful experience and thank Randy, Geraldo, and the entire staff at Hilton Philadelphia - City Avenue for a great wedding day!

My husband and I recently got married at the Hilton, they made our winter wedding the best night of our lives! We worked with Badonna from our initial visit to check out the venue all the way until the end of our wedding night. She was amazing to work with. She helped me with every detail along the way to ensure everything was complete and just the way we wanted it. The entire staff at the Hilton was phenomenal the weekend of the event. We stayed Friday-Sunday and it was amazing. We got to really customize our wedding to make it exactly what we wanted (everything from food to decor) and we were not disappointed. Both the rooms that my husband and I and our bridal parties got ready in were perfect for all our needs and conveniently located for each of us.
Kris Wedul handled our wedding block of rooms. She was attentive, easy to work with and responsive. We had no issues with booking rooms and everyone was well taken care of.
The staff working to set up, serve and work our wedding were wonderful. Everyone commented on how friendly and attentive the entire staff was.
We were able to go for a pre-tasting of hor d'oeuvres, our actual tasting and then again for dinner at Delmonico's (in the restaurant) on the date one year prior to our wedding. The entire staff made each of these visits wonderful and truly treated us like special guests each time. The food was also AMAZING every time we dined there - including our wedding night to serve almost 200 people.
We highly recommend the Hilton Philadelphia as a venue! The entire building has been beautifully renovated and the staff is wonderful to work with!
Tom and I are just now getting around to thanking Randy for the wonderful memories of our wedding day. He was always responsive and very direct when it came to our budget and spoke honestly about what we could and could not have on our wedding day. We choose the Hilton because it was close to the city and there was parking. We also appreciated that we could count on Randy being there for our wedding just in case we needed something. The ballroom was amazing and my father cried when he saw me walked down the marble staircase for the first time in my gown. Everything was taken care of and Tom and I were able to enjoy ourselves right after the ceremony. Randy's recommendation turned out great! The DJ, florist, and photographer were all professional and accommodating. Tom and I are extremely grateful and we know that there will be many more wonderful weddings held at the Hilton with other lucky brides and grooms.
We can't be happier with the way our wedding turned out. It was such a pleasure to work with Randy, he was always available to answer our questions and concerns with a big smile. all the planning went so smoothly and on the actual wedding day, the ballroom looked absolutely stunning, randy's management, attention to details and uplifting spirit was incredible. All the guests were so pleased and we kept receiving wonderful comments about the venue and how well everything was organized. Perfect venue with an amazingly thoughtful director of catering. Aside from the gorgeous venue my husband and I would like to thank all of the people at the Hilton for making our wedding such a splendid occasion. Our contact Randy was there every step of the way and it seemed like he lived at the hotel. He was there to greet my entire family the day before our wedding. He stayed until the end of the night and did not leave until we finished our rehearsal dinner. He was the first person I saw on the morning of my wedding. He stayed to make sure that our guests all left safely while my husband and I retired an hour early. He was the very next morning to make sure that we all had breakfast and were satisfies with our event. Randy stepped in and basically acted as our wedding coordinator making sure that all of our vendor stayed on tract and finished ahead of schedule. I was floored when I noticed how he treated my parents by offering them lunch since I was too busy to ask them myself. He made sure that they sat down before all of the guests arrived and shared a drink with them in the polo lounge for over 30 minutes. He told my mom that she was beautiful and listened to her as she recount the store of how she met my father 40 years ago. I cannot express my gratitude and admiration for Randy enough. I am sure that we will have many more fabulous events at the Hilton because of him.
I have received so many compliments from my family and friends since my wedding. I love the level of detail that the team at the Hilton put into my ceremony and reception. They completely renovated the lobby and ballroom. Randy was there to help me every step of the way especially when my husband and I could not come to an agreement on some of our vendors. He helped me get referral to some vendors that has worked at the Hilton in the past and were familiar with the set up which absolutely made things much easier. Our florist was also recommended by Randy and she was fabulous. I have so many fond memories of my wedding that I can cherish forever.
Randy & Badonna were great! Feel like they went above and beyond what we expected. They were the biggest reason we decided on the Hilton b/c we always felt like they would take care of us throughout the entire process, including wedding day. While not perfect (a few hiccups), it was about as stress-free as it possibly could be. The venue also looked great as it was very recently renovated. The cocktail hour and reception were all great. I heard the dessert table was extra special from our guests. Expect a great and beautiful event if and when you decide on the Hilton for your venue.

He solve some problems I had about the wedding and yes I can tell you that my wedding was all I have dreamt about and even more! The food were really good and all my guests love it. And don't get me started about the ballroom! It was super! I love their ballroom! I recommend Hilton City Avenue 100% for you guys who still looking for a reception place for your wedding! When my husband and I started looking for wedding venues, we knew we wanted to find a place that would allow us to throw the best party of our lives. We have a big family that loves to eat, dance and have a great time. We visited with Randy at the Hilton on City Ave and immediately knew this was the place for us. The ballroom was breathtaking and Randy was so knowledgeable and passionate.
Preparations for the wedding were easy through Randy and the Hilton. He was extremely responsive to email and phone calls and truly provided us with a stress-free planning experience.
The wedding day itself was seriously the most amazing day of our lives. The ballroom looked even better than I had imagined and the food was the best I've ever eaten - seriously - the food was both beautiful and delicious. One of the amazing staff members, Odette, made sure that my husband and I ate throughout the night, and aside from the pure joy and excitement of it actually being our wedding day, we both feel like we were able to be guests at our own wedding.
I seriously cannot say enough about Randy and his team at the Hilton. We just had the most amazing experience and I couldn't have asked for anything more. Just getting around to thanking Randy and all of his staff at the Hilton for the happiest day of my life. My husband and I were clueless when it came to planning a wedding. I spent two months alone trying to figure out what type of flowers I wanted in my bouquet. Thankfully, Randy made the process so easy for my husband and I. He recommended the florist, DJ, and photographer; all of whom have done work at the Hilton before and showed us samples of their work. We didn't have to imagine or hope that everything will go smoothly on our wedding date. I have to be honest and say that I was definitely skeptical when Randy recommended changing several items on a menu that I was sure couldn't be more perfect. However, at the tasting both our families loved it and our guests called us the weeks prior thanking us for the delicious meals. I have three sisters who aren't married yet but I'm sure they won't have to stress out like me.
Randy was amazing. He responded to all our needs and made the whole weekend so special for us- from start to finish. The food was great and presentation of both the ceremony and reception was gorgeous. The only miscommunication we had seemed to be with the hotel room coordinator, Kris. Our block of rooms was not initially reserved and we found Kris to be abrasive and unwelcoming- not really an appropriate manner for someone working in the hospitality industry! On the day of the wedding, I came to find my bridal suite in complete disarray- bottles everywhere, things thrown around, etc. I arrived almost 2 hours after they promised it would be ready and this is not a sight any bride wants to encounter on her wedding day. Getting the suite ready is something Kris should have double and then triple checked and if I hadn't had another room, the whole timing of the day could have been thrown off. As soon as Randy saw this, he got housekeeping up there and fixed the problem immediately. Randy is a gem and the Hilton needs to find someone equally as good to coordinate the room booking.
I just got married at the Hilton and, from start to finish, the experience was incredible. Randy and the entire Hilton staff were a pleasure to work with: they was attentive, responsive, and gracious throughout our whole planning process. Randy was especially detail-oriented and organized, which helped the planning enormously. Our wedding was kosher and Randy allowed us to totally customize our cocktail hour; any requests we had, Randy made work. Another point to add is that if you are looking for a Jewish orthodox wedding venue, you can't find a better place than the Hilton. It's 5 miles from Center City, has in-house glatt kosher catering, and 3 ballrooms. You have more than enough space for all parts of a traditional Jewish wedding, without needing to do any room flips. Our guests are still raving about the staff service and the beautiful interior of the hotel, and my husband and I had the time of our lives. I'd encourage everyone to get married at the Hilton!
I thought the Hilton was great! The food was amazing, and Randy was very helpful (though sometimes hard to get a hold of). Definitely recommend this place!
My wife and I recently got married at the Hilton City Avenue Philadelphia. Working with Randy was great. He is always available to go over any details, ask a question, or to give input. Randy had many amazing ideas on how the perfect wedding should go. They seem to constantly be renovating the big ballroom, and just completed it's latest update. The hotel staff greeted all of our guests with respect from the moment they walked into the door. Many of our guests called us in the days following the wedding to let us know our wedding was by far one of the best, if not the best wedding they'd ever attended. The hotel rooms were nice. Our wedding was Kosher but that didn't stop the Hilton from providing a great meal. My only complaint with the wedding was I couldn't enjoy enough food at the cocktail hour because my wife and I were too busy saying hi to all of our guests. The little I did try tasted really good. This is definitely a great venue for a wedding and Randy made it all happen.
The Hilton City Avenue was wonderful to work with. Randy made sure everything was set up perfectly, was professional and eased all my worries. The Garden Ballroom was recently renovated and is beautiful! Very classy and elegant. Our guests raved about the food and how great it was. The best part was, all the food was warm and presented wonderfully! Every aspect of the night was over the top. From the entrance on the balcony, to the cake cutting, to the viennese table. Randy and his team were wonderful! I would recommend the Hilton City Avenue to everyone. Oh, and the hotel rooms were beautiful!!
when I met with Randy Shaller the wedding planner he was great, until he got my down payment, THEN I never heard from him, you couldnt get a hold of him. I still needed to choose a cake and set up of tables etc. He wouldnt return calls, emails NOTHING. The day of my wedding he was late, rude, hitting on all the male guests, it was so embarassing. The food was wrong and cold. The hotel room was dark and smelled bad. They were rude to my out of town guests. Then on top of all that they didnt hand out the mini bottles of champagne we had bought so now we have 200 bottles we had to take home. save yourself the time and money and have your wedding somehwere else. These people just want to get your deposit and then treat you like shit once they have it.
I choose this hotel because of the proximity to my venue, as most of my side was from out of town it would be easier for them to get to the wedding from there. The rooms were nice and clean and the staff helpful. Also as most of my side made a vacation out of the wedding trip they gave them the rooms for the full stay at the wedding rate. Which I thought was very nice. My only issue and it is a small one that they did not have a true Briday Suite. Our suite was just a regular suite, that was on the same floor as most of my guests. But overall it was good.
