Facilities and Capacity
The Hilton Wilmington/ Christiana has a total of 9,000 square feet of space. There are both indoor and uncovered outdoor options which can be enjoyed with up to 180 of your friends and family. Both the patio and courtyard spaces add a romantic touch. The Patio, which can accommodate from 100 to 150 guests, gives you and your guests pond and fountain backdrops. The Courtyard, which can accommodate a bit more guests with its capacity for 120 to 180, features a beautiful garden. If you would like a stylish indoor site, you can use the Christina Ballroom, which features stunning 12-foot ceilings. This space is also quite flexible and can be modified depending on whether you want one big space or three smaller spaces. There is also another ballroom, Le Chameleon Ballroom, which gives the wedding party access to the Patio. These spaces all feature a modern and chic style which will compliment your wedding and reception. Couples and guests can also spend the night at the hotel in the renovated guest rooms. During your stay, you can even bring along your pets.

Choosing to have our wedding at the Hilton was the best decision we could have made. With their all-inclusive packages, it takes the stress out of planning a big event. Katie the wedding coordinator, was so professional throughout the entire process. She always responded in a timely manner and answered all of my questions leading up to the event which made me feel at ease. What else can I say other than we had the best night of our lives! Decor was put together beautifully, food was great, and service was wonderful. Guests had many positive things to say and I will be recommending this location to others in the future. Thank you again to Katie and the staff at the Hilton/Christiana!

We had the most spectacular wedding that we could have dreamed of and the Hilton Wilmington/Chistiana was so accommodating. Half the wedding came from out of town and needed a hotel and it was the only one big enough in the area to take care of all of us. Katie and the staff were wonderful - we had welcome drinks the night before, they passed out our welcome bags and they had a beautiful brunch the morning after. Overall, a stellar job!
Having our wedding at the Hilton Wilmington/Christiana was the best decision my husband and I could have ever made. Katie and her team were absolutely amazing and made the process seamless. From our first meeting a Katie was very professional and came prepared as she anticipated many of the questions I had before i got to ask them which was impressive, she provided me with a few links she used for her own wedding for items i had not thought of, and was really knowledgeable about the facility and all things leading up to our big day. During our food tasting she made sure the entrees were up the par and if we were not satisfied she remedied by offering customized options which was thoughtful and quite a surprise as we were not aware we could customize entrees. Additionally leading up to the big day I ran out if time to get place cards and the night of/ morning of, she completed our place cards for us and provided items we needed for our photo guest book. Words cannot express how much of a blessing Katie was during the wedding process and i am not sure how we would have made as painless as we did it without her. The entire hilton staff did such an amazing job and my guest raved about the food, drinks, and overall experience. I cant thank the Katie and Hilton staff enough and hands down would recommend this venue for a wedding or any other event!

The Hilton gave us the wedding reception of our dreams! I truly couldn’t have asked for a better reception. They kept in close contact during the whole planning process and made sure all of the little details were perfect for us. The food was amazing & the staff was so attentive and friendly. Highly recommend!!
Our wedding and reception at the Hilton was perfect! Our wedding coordinator, Katie, communicated with us every step of the way and expertly made our vision for the ceremony and reception a reality. Katie and Todd, our day of coordinator, made sure everything ran smoothly the day of our event and thought of every detail. They were both fantastic! Our guests raved about the food (we had a taco bar that everyone loved!) and all of the staff were so welcoming. Everything you need for a wedding except for a DJ and photographer were included in the wedding package, which made planning easier than expected. The reception hall was beautiful and spacious, with lovely chandeliers. Overall, we’d highly recommend the Hilton for your wedding!

Great venue! Planned last minute (5 weeks). Everyone was extremely helpful throughout the process. They cover basically everything except photographer and DJ. Ceremony/reception we’re great and the staff was super attentive to us and all of our guests. We would recommend this venue to anyone.
We had our daughter's wedding at Hilton Wilmington/Christiana on October 15, 2022. The amazing staff, setting, decor, and food were all fabulous! Special thanks to Theresa Langan, Suzan Mikhail, Ashley England, Hector, John, Lin, Jen, Jason, Food Staff, including all Waiters and Waitresses, Housekeeping, and the friendly staff at the front desk that greeted us with many smiles. Again, many thanks to all of you at the Hilton for making our daughter's wedding day truly magical!
We were very happy with the rooms and the shuttle provided. Everyone on staff was a delight.
Theresa and Kelly met all of my expectations! They were very organized and always responded promptly. I had a lot of ideas and questions which they always answered and helped bring my vision to life. Leading up to the wedding, I was able to drop off all of my decor which they set up and they were very thorough with the timeline for the day of the wedding. They brought us anything we needed the day of the wedding. No request was denied. They truly went above and beyond what we needed! The day of the wedding, they contacted all of the vendors and made sure they knew where to set up. The hubby and I were so busy that they boxed up our food with a few extra surprises in our honeymoon suite. At the wedding, no one was hungry at all. We had plenty of apps, servicing stations, plus the first course and the actual meal. They truly went the extra mile. I trusted them 100% and they did not disappoint. I plan on having other events at the Hilton due to the service.
Having our wedding at Hilton Wilmington/Christiana was the best decision ever! The package we chose was all inclusive which made it so much easier to plan a wedding in 4 months. They gave you an option of 2 bakers to choose your wedding cake from (which was included in the package), and a choice of 2 florists to choose your centerpieces from (which were also included although we didn't do flower centerpieces, we used the florist for our bouquets). We had our ceremony in the courtyard which was so beautiful and the reception in the banquet hall which was beautiful and spacious. Teresa was so easy to work with and was very responsive. She walked us through the whole process and kept us on track to making sure that we had everything ready to go. It was honestly a very easy process and we had the most beautiful and fun wedding we could pull off in 4 months!! The food was delicious (we chose the salmon and stuffed chicken option) and the open bar was great too! Having a room for the night and rooms blocked off for our guests was very convenient! The location is close to the highway and easy to get to, and there is plenty of parking. Beautiful areas to take pictures as well available on site! Having a bridal suite for the whole day, made getting ready a breeze!
We worked with Theresa for the arrangements of the wedding, and with Todd and KellyAnne the day of and the whole team was wonderful. Theresa was good at answering all our questions and taking care of any specifics we needed. Todd and KellyAnne were amazing day of and were so helpful! They were on top of everything and I fully believe that the wedding would not have been as smooth without them.
This venue knows what they are doing!!! Absolute pros - everything was so smooth and perfect. Beautiful venue inside and outside. So many things included makes it very easy.
We can not say enough wonderful things about the Hilton! We found out 5 weeks prior to our wedding date that we would not be able to hold our event (THANKS COVID) and would need to reschedule. Leah was so helpful throughout our ENTIRE planning and rescheduling process. We may have had the longest rehearsal known to man the day before our event because we really wanted an outdoor ceremony and the weather was not looking promising....Todd was phenomenal! He listened to every idea we had to make an outdoor ceremony still happen and made sure the day of we would be outside. On the day of Todd was available to help with any last minute issues and helped make sure the day went smoothly and exactly as planned. He even walked through the wet grass to try and reset the fountain for some pictures. Anyone one looking for a wedding venue NEEDS to go see the Hilton! They were so flexible and worked with us through all our reschedules and last minute changes. They made sure everything was ready to go early enough that went it was discovered that our toasting flutes had not made it to the venue there was plenty of time to get them there. They really do think of everything and offer suggestions to help make sure your day goes off perfectly!
Where do we begin with our gratitude and thanks to the Hilton Christiana!?
The Hilton was the last of MANY venues we looked at and all it took was one visit, I knew the search was over! The location was perfect, accommodations were gorgeous, food was amazing, and the all inclusive pricing took away so many worries and extra planning details that I was stressing over!
Leah and all of the staff at Hilton Christiana really made our wedding the dream day we had imagined. Right from our first visit we were made to feel at home and could immediately envision our wedding there.
The personal touches that Leah worked hard to make happen for us were indescribable. (EX: We wanted Donuts instead of Wedding Cake. DONE. We wanted Whiskey Shots for our Unity Ceremony. DONE.)
She was always available by phone or email and readily answered the many, many, many questions we had up until the big day.
On the day of, we had absolutely nothing to worry about. The Hilton Christiana Team ran the whole day seamlessly, if there were any issues we never knew about them!
From Leah and Jessica working behind the scenes, the wonderful Front Desk Staff, and Alfredo catering to our every need – it truly was the best day ever. Alfredo truly deserves special recognition. From the Rehearsal to the After Party, he was guiding us along every step of the way and provided nothing less than PERFECTION. I can not imagine our day with out him!
There are not enough words to give the thanks you all deserve! Thank you again for everything!
PS- we loved our experience and The Hilton Christiana so much that we now come the first of every month to have a drink together and celebrate another month of marriage bliss J

As we begun our journey to the best day of our lives we shopped many venues, did the necessary tours and received pricing. Obviously we settled with the Hilton for a few reason: 1. It smelled amazing when we walked through the doors. 2. They were very flexible with our ideas and receptive to modification we wanted to make. 3. Leah...sweet and gracious Leah, she was there every step of the way. 4. The food...OMG the food. We didn't want the typical wedding food we wanted our guest to leave full and that they did. We received and still receive awesome feedback of the amount of food and quality. 5. The look and feel of the wedding space was elegant, soft and left much room to transfer the space. The bridal suite was very spacious with 5 women a flower girl MUA and hair stylist we still had plenty of room without feeling we were on top of each other. Oh and another perk the suite is on a private floor.
All of my guest stayed onsite and were amazed by the accommodation and the staff. Jessica made the room block process seamless and provided regular updates she was just as amazing as Leah.
The Butler staff Shaq and Alfredo catered to our every need even prior to the wedding when we would just show up to look at the space and ask questions.
We were even taken care of after the wedding, the staff made sure we had food to eat and even left us a nice gift after the wedding in the honeymoon suite.
I can go on and on regarding our experience. If we had to do it all over again the Hilton will still be our choice.
Our wedding at the Hilton was absolutely amazing. The only thing that went wrong the day of was the fact that it rained. The staff did everything possible to make sure it was still the best possible event it could be, even with having to make last minute changes on the fly. When we did our initial meeting to tour the venue, Leah could not have done a better job to sell us on it. She was extremely helpful with answering all our questions and also got back to us in a very timely manner. I was so confident that all details were perfectly planned for the wedding that I was not stressing and was fully able to enjoy the day. Alfredo was our day of contact for the wedding and he was absolutely amazing. He was right there whenever we needed him and told us everything we needed to do as it came up. All our family and bridal party made multiple comments about how good of a job he did. One of our eight year old flower girls say she wants him to work her wedding (many, many years from now). I can't put into words how good the food was. We had our rehearsal dinner there the night before and everyone ranted and raved about how good the food was at both meals.
Coming from someone who works in operations and normally stresses about making sure everything is perfectly planned and goes off without a flaw, I can honestly say I did not have to worry about a thing due to the staff at the Hilton. All details were planned to a T and our wedding day was the most perfect day it could have been, shared with our closest family and friends.
This venue is amazing. Leah worked with us from the beginning until the end. She answered calls and emails in a timely manner and always had the answers.
The guests had a great time from the food to the beautiful room, everything was perfect!
Alfredo helped us the day of the wedding and he took all my decorations and cake and had them packed up ready to go for me the next day. I would recommend this venue to anyone!!!
We had our “Surprise” wedding at the Hilton Christiana in May and were blown away by the overall experience. The venue itself was exactly what we were looking for in terms of food, atmosphere, scenery and overall experience. The staff was so attentive and professional every step of the way, from Leah, who answered every email and phone call, to all of the day of staff who helped orchestrate the best surprise wedding ever. Everyone knew exactly what they were doing and were cheerful and helpful. The customer service was out of this world.
We never felt rushed, and everything ran like clockwork. We could only imagine the amount of work that goes on behind the scenes to make it all happen. It is to the Hilton’s credit that this all happened so effortlessly, allowing us to have a stress-free experience.
I can’t say enough good things about the food and drinks. All our guests commented on the quality and quantity of food. Alfredo, made sure we had plenty of food sent to our suite, which was also provided by the Hilton.
Our guests are still talking about how it was the best wedding they have ever attended. Thank you from the both of us for making sure we had the perfect day. It truly was the best day EVER!

Choosing the Hilton as our venue was absolutely the best choice we made! Leah was awesome during the planning process and ran with every idea we had. She has such a positive, up-beat personality and we loved working with her. The staff at the Hilton are a great group of people who made the whole process and day of so much fun!
We had a wonderful time the day of our wedding and were not stressed at all throughout the night. We insisted on having our ceremony outside in the courtyard, even though the forecast looked a little iffy, Alfredo handled it like a rockstar! The newly renovated ballroom is gorgeous and fit our wedding theme perfectly! Alfredo and his staff ensured we always had a drink in hand and kept the party going smoothly. At the end of the night he even packaged up our meals (we didn't have time to eat), some tacos from our late night snack bar, as well as cake and champagne all waiting for us in our room! Alfredo seemed to be every where that night and was always there when you needed him. We can't thank him enough!
We received many compliments from our guests about the venue on the food, drinks, taco bar, etc. We really couldn't be happier with how the day turned out! We will definitely recommend the Hilton to anyone getting married or looking for an event venue!

Every moment of planning our wedding at the Hilton Christiana was awesome! Leah and the rest of the staff went well and above to make sure everything went off perfectly. Absolutely no worries. The food was amazing, we added the marble slab creamery table which was a big hit with the guests, We had a small wedding of 60 people and the reception room we used was perfect, beautifully aranged and very elegant. We had our ceremony on their property as well over looking the water fountain. Our guest are still raving about how beautiful the Hilton was and how amazing the food was! We used one of the Hilton’s preferred vendors for our cake (which is included in the package) you can’t go wrong with choosing the Hilton, flowers, the cake, hotel accommodations for your guests!!!
Just simply amazing! You will not be disappointed choosing the Christiana Hilton I highly recommend checking them out!!
Honestly if I could do it all over again, I'd absolutely change the venue. Although newly redone and conveniently located, the staff was unpleasant, below average, and very absent. My parents and myself always felt I was walking on egg shells to what we could or couldn't do for the big day. I felt that everything was poorly organize (which it even was day of as evidence by people not from the wedding coming to the bar to get drinks), and the the bride/bride's family had to do everything for themselves. Again, examples include being told we need to bring our stuff up to the room between cocktail hour and the reception and when my mother stated that wouldn't be feasible, we were told to "check with the front desk." Another great example was being told WE had to monitor patrons of the hotel and not guest of the wedding. (WHY IN THE WORLD DOES THE FAMILY WHO JUST SPEND MORE THAN 20k HAVE TO MONITOR?!?!) Nothing exceeded our expectations or "wow'ed us" on what's suppose to be the best day of your life. I am willing to give it two stars because the general manager was kind enough to my mother to try and remedy the situation. But truth be told, the day is done, and I won't get it back. I do not recommend getting married here/having your reception here and I cannot say it with enough emphasis. Those reading my review, you can have so much more out of your day else where.

I don't know where to begin...my wedding would not have been the same without all the special people at Hilton..Leah..Alfredo..you all are the best. The easiest, most stress free planning process I could ever imagine, all thanks to wedding coordinator Leah. Leah loves her job (at least it feels that way) and it shows in everything that she does. I felt special, catered to, and cared about from the time I sent my first email, inquiring about the venue, to the day I walked down the aisle and Leah fluffed my train right before I entered. Leah, you are one of a kind and I could not imagine this wedding experience without you. Alfredo was the reason behind a smooth reception and rehearsal dinner. He truly catered to my husband and I throughout the entired reception and set the tone of the rehearsal dinner and wedding. The whole team at the Hilton is amazing. We had our wedding three days before Christmas. It was magical, seamless and very well planned. From day one the staff was organized, helpful, and went above and beyond to make it the wedding of our dreams. I cannot say enough great things about the Christiana Hilton! We had our wedding there on Friday, October 13, 2017. It was a raging success! We had a fairly large wedding of 185 people. Initially I was concerned with the spacing but the Hilton was able to accommodate us beautifully. They have the most amazing team of people working behind the scenes to make all your wedding dreams come true. We absolutely LOVED working with Leah. She was very hands on and attentive from our initial meeting all the way to the day of our wedding. She was never too busy to take my calls or emails. Leah always seemed very invested in our big day and never disregarded us as just another wedding. Our butler was Alfredo and he worked incredibly hard to make sure our wedding went off without a hitch. Everything was perfect! The food was a delight. The liquor was all top shelf. The ballroom and hotel look fabulous with all of the recent renovations that have been done. The wait staff and bartenders were incredibly efficient especially dealing with that large of a wedding. Weeks have passed and people are still gushing to me about how fantastic our wedding was and I have to agree with them! We are beyond pleased with everything. So if you’re in the market for a place to hold your reception, please stop in and check out the Hilton. You’ll be glad you did!

If you're looking for the absolute perfect wedding venue, look no further than the Christiana Hilton. From the first meeting we had with the coordinator, Leah, to the last minute of checking out the day after the wedding, it was nothing but perfection. On our first meeting we were greeted with high class and professionalism with personalized signs showing our reserved table. Leah guided us through every step of the way and gave us plenty of suggestions for vendors to use that ultimately made our wedding a complete hit with our guests! During the ceremony and reception we worked with Alfredo, who was at our side every step of the way. Seriously, this guy is like a wedding ninja. He made sure the ceremony and reception went as smooth as glass with zero interruptions or hiccups. As for the venue itself, again, perfect. The whole place was clean and spotless with nothing in disrepair. During the day of the wedding, my family had to go to the Hilton to decorate the gazebo, and the whole staff was very helpful. Anything we needed, they got it for us. Todd made sure all of our stuff was accessible and/or locked away safely. The suite we were given to stay in was clean and comfortable, and they actually go out of the way to make it special for you. The price of this venue was a fraction of the cost of other venues, but did not have a "cheap" feeling at all; everything was very high class. Overall, I can not say enough about the Hilton. If you are on the fence, just go with it, you will NOT be disappointed.
The Hilton Wilmington/Christiana is the ultimate wedding venue. From the Catering team, especially Leah, right down to our Butler, Alfredo, we all were treated as if we were the only ones there when in fact there were several functions going on during our function but nothing interfered with ours. My husband and I hosted the wedding for our son and his bride. The ceremony and reception were absolutely gorgeous and Leah and her team are awesome to deal with, they were always available, answered calls and emails promptly and always with a cheerful disposition. The rest of the hotel staff, from the front desk to the wait staff to the house keeping staff...so pleasant and accommodating. Just awesome. We had 150 guests and not one complaint from anyone. This is not my first function at this Hilton, I've been using this facility for over 13 years and will continue to do so.
The Christiana Hilton was absolutely amazing and I couldn't imagine having my wedding anywhere else. Leah and Sue were able to help me plan, deal with my minor freak outs and random weird suggestions, and make my day wonderful. We were supposed to have our wedding outside but the weather was not cooperating and at the last minute they were able to pull off a beautiful ceremony inside. Everyone still raves about the food (those crab cakes are a must!) Everything was perfect and it was wonderful that no one had to drive and we could keep the party going by just walking upstairs to our room! Highly suggested! It was the best day ever!
The staff the Hilton Wilmington/Christiana is amazing. After our initial meeting with Leah, we knew we wanted to have our wedding at the Hilton. Leah was so helpful throughout the entire planning process. We met with her several times to make sure everything was perfect. In addition to meeting with her, I had countless email conversations about the wedding. We had our rehearsal dinner at the Hilton in there Wine Cellar. It was amazing! The room is separate from the rest of their restaurant, so we did get privacy. The food was great and everyone loved being able to order whatever they wanted off of the menu. On the day of the wedding, the bridal party was able to use the hospitality suite starting at 10am. This worked out perfectly for hair, makeup, and pictures of the girls getting ready. The suite was filled with drinks. Susan, our butler-ess was just the nicest. She helped supervise the rehearsal and the day of the wedding checked in on us several times to see if we were okay. While the wedding party was getting ready, Susan and the staff set up all of decorations we brought. The wedding and the reception area looked beautiful. Susan did a fantastic job making sure the ceremony and reception went off without a hitch. Everything was perfect! The food was delicious. We had the European Chicken Breast and the Strip Steak for the two entrees. What I thought was really neat was that my husband and myself could have whatever entree we wanted that they offer. All of my friends and family had a wonderful time and they kept telling me and my mother how nice the wedding was. I had a wonderful time at the wedding and could not imagine having the wedding anywhere else. My husband and I both agree that the Hilton is a great place to have a wedding! The price of the wedding a fantastic value; we got so much for the overall price.
Our Wedding planner Leah from the Christiana Hilton was top notch. Leah's attention to detail to all of our request was spot on. Such a pleasure to work with her cheery personalty and peppy enthusiasm as it always puts a smile on your face. What a delightful person. When Leah made the hand-off to our weeding coordinator Suzanne The Butler it felt seamless, as professionals make it look so easy. Suzanne was so gracious and organized down to the minuet details of the Gift Bags/Thumb-stamp Wedding Register and the orchestration of the Bridal Party Hospitality Suite behind the scene, as swell as the Wedding ceremony/introductions/reception/ and the all of our Guest Rooms with Over night Gift Bags.. I had an amazing experience at the Hilton. Leah my sales coordinator was simply amazing. She made everything so easy and listened to everything I asked for. My Butler for the day was Todd and he was fantastic. He made the day go by so smoothly. I would recommend them to anyone who is thinking of having there wedding in the Wilmington area.
We had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Hilton on June 12, 2015. The Hilton was our top choice from the beginning and we were so pleased. Leah Markiewicz made the planning so easy. Every question or request, no matter how big or small was answered and accommodated. Our day was absolutely perfect and we owe it so much to the wonderful Hilton staff. Alfredo Bernal was our day of coordinator and he was awesome keeping the day as stress free as possible. Everything came together perfectly.What really stands out to me is all of the positive feedback we have received from our family and friends about the wedding and I can't thank the Hilton enough for executing such a fabulous event! Hands down I will use them again for events in the future.
Best venue any where! The service is head and shoulders above any other, food is outstanding and the facility is gorgeous! Every step of the planning from our initial visit was amazing. We highly recommend the Hilton, they will help you create the wedding of your dreams.
The best day of my life took place at the Christiana Hilton!! The service was second to none, from beginning to end. My guest enjoyed themselves. Everything went as planned and the best part was I didn't have to do anything but enjoy myself and guest. I couldn't have dreamed of better service. The hotel took care of everything! We left for our honeymoon the next day from the hotel and I didn't have to worry about anything they made sure all gifts got to my parents .. the cake was wrapped an secured! Oh and there was extra food and cake waiting for us in the honeymoon suite which was a pleasant surprise since we didn't eat as much as we thought we would! And the food was wonderful... our guest still talk about the wedding at the Hilton. They tell us they were treated with such care everyone enjoyed themselves! It was great all around they definitely set the standard and rose above it!!!!
AMAZING!! I did not have my reception here but we used the Hilton for our room block and the pre-wedding prep and they were BEYOND accommodating. Katie and the Hilton crew went out of they way to help make my day run as smooth and stress-free as possible. They have amazing food, beautiful grounds and plenty of space! 5 Stars!
We got married at the Hilton on June 27, 2015. My husband and I knew right away we wanted to have an outdoor ceremony and a reception at a hotel as most of our guests were out of town. When we first saw the Hilton we knew it was the place for us, for both the ceremony and reception. We absolutely fell in love with how beautiful it was.
We worked with Leah for nearly a year and I don't know what I would have done without her. She was always available, kind, and resourceful. Leah made the whole planning process so easy to handle. The entire staff of the Hilton made the wedding incredible, Alfredo was an amazing butler and always looking out for my groom & I. When the weather forecast showed 100% chance of rain for our wedding day, Alfredo quickly secured another ballroom for us to have our ceremony in (I always wanted to have an aisle to walk down and he made that happen). The ceremony room was so beautiful and we have received so many compliments on it & about how beautiful our photos came out in that room. The reception was just perfect. The food was incredible, every single guest told us how much they enjoyed cocktail hour and dinner. The bar was amazing, the bartenders did a wonderful job & our signature cocktail was everyone's favorite! The day really was like a dream come true and it's all thanks to Hilton's incredible customer service, their team goes above and beyond to make sure your wedding day is perfect. We were married on April 25, 2015 at the Christiana Hilton in Newark, Delaware. The hotel is really beautiful and the ballroom was decorated so beautifully on our day! A friend of mine recommended it as he also was married here.
What made our experience so wonderful and why I would recommend the Christiana Hilton was the staff we had the pleasure of working with! Leah Markiewicz is so amazing and she makes you feel so special. She takes the time to explain things and answer any and all of your questions. I can't tell you how many emails I sent her with a list of questions throughout the process. She keeps you on schedule with reminders and is so great at what she does! She is so sweet, kind, and shares in your excitement. On our wedding day, she was able to be there and checked in to see how things were going. I truly appreciated that and felt very special.
Jennifer Smith was so helpful and accommodating with booking the rooms for my relatives. Alfredo Bernal was our butler and he was very attentive to our needs. He did an amazing job making sure we were happy and keeping us on schedule. We were able to enjoy the day. He took care of making sure all of our things made it to our bridal suite. We are so thankful for all that he did for us that day! All of the servers and bartenders were very nice and did such a wonderful job serving us!

When my husband and I became engaged, we had no idea where to even start to look, as we had a pretty minimal, yet doable budget, but wanted a beautiful wedding. The first venue that we viewed was the Rockwood Carriage House. We loved the Carriage House, and were very excited when their website gave us information that gave us the impression that we could pay only $65 a head per guest. We met with a consultant, and when all was said and done, the price per head ended up rising from $65 a head to $125 a head. This is because this venue did not include centerpieces, cake, dance floor, liquor, or even table settings/chairs! Disappointed and defeated, we looked on. That is when we came across the Christiana Hilton. We had relatives that had used it years ago, and raved about it. Upon our first meeting with the ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL Leah, we were in love! We were greeted with our own personal table setting and a rose. Leah then took us through the GORGEOUS venue and laid everything out for us, making everything a reality in our eyes. We were presented with a beautiful video that showed us what our day could be. When it came down to talking prices and what we would be getting for the price, I became nervous, thinking that this venue was way too good to be true. WRONG. Long story short, we chose a buffet style meal that included cheesesteak sandwiches with french fries and philly soft pretzels, an Italian style table, and a carving station! When we needed to tweak things to fit our budget, Leah did it for us and made literally everything work. The price we paid included centerpieces, cocktail hour, the dance floor, table settings, cake...you name it, we were getting it. The weeks leading up to the wedding were an absolute dream. Leah made sure we had ZERO stress. I can't even begin to explain how perfect Leah and the staff at the Hilton made our entire day. I was actually sad saying goodbye to Leah and all of our wedding planning meetings. GO WITH THE HILTON. I promise you it will make your day as perfect as can be!
It was tough trying to get through to the coordinator at first, but as the date for the rehearsal dinner got closer she was very responsive. The dinner was excellent, but they had the wrong kid's meal. The kid's, of course, didn't care. The staff was excellent at keeping me updated on bar opening and closing, courses coming out, etc. One thing I was not told about until close to the event is that I would need place cards with entree selection for each guest. In hindsight I should have known this, but when planning a wedding sometimes you don't think correctly and it was not in the contract so not on my mind. The rooms they tell you about are not correct in amount of people able to occupy at all. We looked at the rooms and the smaller room (which is said to fit 40) would not even fit 20 so we had to pay extra for a bigger room, even with less than 40 in attendance. My husband and I were upset about this incredible miscalculation. We were also told we were renting the ballroom and they sectioned it off so we only were in party of the ballroom. It ended up being snugger than I would have liked, but there was still space to move around and mingle. It was a very nice rehearsal and close to our rehearsal location. It ended up being a bit pricier than we expected, but it's the memories that matter and I know all guests had a great time.
I have received SO many compliments on how beautiful the Hilton was, how attentive the waitstaff were to my guests, and how smoothly everything ran. Of course, I also got so many compliments on the meal—one of our guests told us it was the best catered meal he had ever experienced. I got many comments that the steak was cooked to perfection (which I had been nervous about since preparing so many steaks at once makes it hard to please everyone on cooking standards!) I also got many compliments about quality of the cocktail hour appetizers, especially the lamb lollipops!
Leah-the wedding specialist- was able to impress even me, one of the most type-A people around with her organizational skills. Leah remembered the tiniest of details (even when I had only mentioned these things in passing, literally months ago). I truly don’t know how she does it! I looked at almost every wedding venue in this area prior to choosing the Hilton. The beautiful venue, great food, and their willingness to work with you to keep a budget were key parts in helping to set it apart from other options for wedding receptions in the area. However, seeing how capable Leah was ended up being what pushed me over the edge in my decision to have my wedding reception there. She went out of her way to always make us feel special. Just one example of this is that there was always a table reserved for us to sit during our meetings--designated by a sign with our names--and we were offered drinks and snacks. In comparison, other venues I looked at made us scrounge around to find a place to sit during a SCHEDULED appointment, which was less than impressive! In addition, Leah was ALWAYS on time for meetings, and she was very accommodating of our military lifestyle in scheduling. At the last minute (I am talking mere days before the reception), we made some major changes/additions to our wedding day package (even added an entire late-night stack station with cheesesteaks, fries, and soft pretzels—this was a huge hit by the way!!), and Leah was totally flexible with us and was somehow able to pull everything together in time. It all turned out perfectly!
Escuss, our butler, is clearly another great asset to the Hilton! He was so on the ball with everything. I had MANY small details and decorations that he had to take care of/set up and I still am shocked that he was able to pull it all together so nicely. When the DJ started off the night by pronouncing our new last name incorrectly to welcome everyone to the event, Escuss immediately RAN to the DJ table to stop him from repeatedly saying it wrong. During the cocktail hour, one of my groomsmen (mistakenly) thought that something was missing in the reception area, and again, Escuss was there in less than a minute asking me what he could do to help. He kept us on time throughout the whole reception, without being overbearing. Together Escuss and Leah worked as a team to make sure my special day went perfectly! Thank you for the hard work of the entire Hilton staff for the great reception!
I had a pretty big size rehearsal dinner. I included the wedding party as well as out of town guests. There were a little over 100 people. The Hilton did a great job on accomodating our needs. They gave a nice classy rehearsal dinner. Everybody enjoyed the food and had time to relax and talk. I choose not to have alcohol at my rehearsal dinner, bu there was bar close by the room so guest could go there and order a drink if they wanted to. The planning process was great. They also did a great job in accomdating our room block. I had to add rooms to the block and they did so without a problem. They did an amazing job. I would reccommend this hotel for anyone needing a space to house out of town guests or hosting rehearsal dinners
We had the gold package and were fortunate to get a great discount at their bridal show. Everything was wonderful.. the food, decor, drinks, and staff. Leah made sure everything was perfect and she was so easy to get in touch with over the planning period. The rooms are really nice. We used the executive suite for the girls to get ready in and we had plenty of room. The ice sculpture was spectacular. The guests especially enjoyed the she crab bisque and the key lime pie.
I honestly do NOT have ENOUGH words to describe how AMAZING my wedding was. The ballroom was decorated in such a classy and elegant style, the food was delicious,the bar was stocked and flowing, the staff was courteous, helpful, and super accomodating. I would reccommend this venue- The Christiana Hilton to anyone looking to have a event that is tasteful, elegant, and classic yet at a reasonable price that works best for your budget!My wedding was my dream come true and it was honestly all because of how the staff took my visions and made it real!
