Hinata Retreat

We had our wedding at the Warfield House on 5/14/2022. Katy, the on-site wedding coordinator, worked with us for several months to make our day special and everything we wanted it to be - and it was absolutely everything we wanted it to be! I'll start with the overview and get into the specifics: Overview: The venue is gorgeous, the natural beauty of the mountains is breathtaking (even if you live locally, as we do), and the groundskeepers do a fantastic job with flowerbeds and lawn care. Despite her busy schedule, Katy was knowledgeable, accommodating, and gave us everything we needed. Food (Crazy Horse, part of Berkshire East & the Warfield) was delicious, and every guest left stuffed and raving about the steak (not always the case at weddings). We had our wedding party stay on-site at the Inns, which were extremely clean, well-kept, and very comfortable - complete with full kitchens, private bathrooms for most rooms, and comfortable living rooms for social hours. Every guest loved our wedding experience from start to end, and my wife was so thrilled with everything. I can't recommend this place enough, especially for the price (more details at the end). Venue: The Warfield sits on top of a beautiful mountain with a great view of the surrounding mountains and hills. The garden and lawn are always pristine and groomed (even in winter), making the entire place picturesque all year. So much so that I personally felt like we didn't need to order many of our own flowers in fear that the flowers we ordered would draw attention away from the natural beauty of the surrounding area! We chose to have private vows at the small pond, which was perfect. Each guest raved about the beauty of the surrounding mountains and the cleanliness of the venue. Lodging: The Inns on-site were perfect for hosting the wedding party! The beds were extremely comfortable, and each house was cleaned spotless for our arrival. The kitchens were great for hosting brunches and dinners in the days leading up to the wedding, and it was a fantastic option to prevent our guests from driving home intoxicated. Overall, it was way better than any hotel and by far the best option for hosting our wedding party. Food & Drink: We chose to go with Alan & the Crazy Horse for our food and drink. The food was so great! Everybody raved about the steaks, which were soft, tender, and melted right in your mouth. The salmon (which I had) was cooked to perfection. Even our vegan option (quinoa confetti) was highly sought after! We chose to have an open bar. Alan recommended our "his and hers" drinks (ginger bourbon Manhattans and strawberry smash), which were huge hits! They also offered a great selection of local beers! Service: Katy and Alan did a wonderful job taking care of my wife and I from start to finish. We really felt heard the entire time, and they both took such good care of us - making sure we had time to eat and taking care of all of the hard things for us on the day of the wedding so we could enjoy ourselves. Pricing: The pricing is unbeatable. For everything we had - food, lodging for the entire place for 3 days, open bar, brunch the following morning, venue fees, flowers, etc. - we ended up spending around $30K. Without the extras (lodging, brunch, open bar), our wedding would have easily been under 20K, and even less had we chosen to make a few other sacrifices (as I said, the place is beautiful without most decorations and "extras"). EXTREMELY AFFORDABLE!!

We can not say enough good things about this venue. Katy, their coordinator is an absolute rock star and made every single step of the planning process a dream. After postponing our wedding during covid we got the pleasure of working with her for a whole extra year and I truly feel like we gained a friend! The venue itself is stunning, the views are incredible, and the lodging on site was a dream. It allowed us to turn our wedding day into a wedding weekend which was honestly priceless. Our wedding party and our guests couldn't get over how breathtaking it all was. 1000/10 recommend.

Now let me tell you why I knocked a star off. Alan, the bar manager, was difficult to work with. I reached out to him almost 5 months before our wedding, he was hard to reach, I emailed him several times, and left him voice mails. When I finally did get a hold of him, he pretty much told me we were having an open bar. My now husband ended up talking to him and getting him to understand we wanted a cash bar. Then he stopped answering our emails and phone calls. Katy spoke with him three times before he emailed me back, and he was very short. I directed communication with him to my husband, I was just fed up. When he emailed my husband, he underminded me, and acted like we had never spoke. He barely answered our questions. We finally got things situated with the bar 12 days before our wedding. To make things more frustrating, Katy said he isn't like this normally. And we have a friend who is getting married there shortly, who said she has had no problems with him (she's doing an open bar though). I don't know if it was because we wanted a cash bar, or if it was something else. But he did make things stressful.

I couldn't have picked a better venue to have my wedding at. The space itself is private, absolutely stunning, vast, accommodating, unique, quiet, and easy to navigate. The views from the Warfield House Inn are just completely breathtaking and I got so many compliments on how beautiful my wedding was simply because of its location. The cost of this venue is extremely fair for being such a gorgeous location with a great team working there. The event coordinator Katy was so amazing! From day 1 I knew we could trust her to help us plan our wedding there. She's extremely laid back and funny but also very professional. She was great with our deadlines and checking in with us multiple times to keep us on track with the planning process. On the day of the wedding, Katy was there helping the day go smoothly for 12 (maybe even more) hours and she never skipped a beat. She was always able to help with last minute questions and never seemed bothered by any of the nonsense that tends to come with a wedding day! I also work in the wedding industry so I've been to a ton of venues and have worked with a lot of venue coordinators and our experience with Katy at the Warfield House Inn was above and beyond. I also have to throw in that the bar tender Tara was so amazing and so much fun to have at our wedding. Everyone's stay at the Inn was nothing less than great. The Inns were clean, spacious, and updated. The common areas were stocked with snacks and breakfast foods and it was such a generous touch. I've suggested this venue to so many newly engaged couples and will continue to do so!

Our wedding at the Warfield House Inn on 9/29/18 was spectacular. We immediately fell in love with the area and idea of having a venue just to ourselves for our wedding weekend. From start to finish, Katy at the Warfield House Inn was soo helpful and made the whole process stress free. She was consistent, super responsive, and patient - she is the BEST. Our weekend was perfect, our guests could not get over the views, food, and hospitality. The main house and bungalow fit our immediate family and wedding party on the property for the weekend and was super convenient for getting ready the morning of! I would recommend this venue for any couple who is looking for a rustic, romantic venue where the focus is on love and family!

The Warfield House Inn was absolutely the perfect place for us to celebrate our big day! The surrounding nature, the crisp, clean & elegant bed & breakfast rooms on site, the gorgeous scenery, the list goes on. We visited this venue in almost every season of the year, and it was stunning every time we were there. Not to mention, Katy is a fantastic coordinator for your wedding day services. She was incredibly instrumental in helping us experience the most magical day of our lives. Nothing seemed rushed. Nothing was stressful. Every moment of our wedding day vision came to life with her help. We are forever thankful for her kindness and care when it comes to event planning and using all of the beautiful spaces that the Warfield House has to offer. We were thrilled when family also wanted to have the rehearsal dinner at the same venue as it afforded us to spend more time in one of our new favorite places with incredible views and a relaxing and natural atmosphere. We plan to visit the Warfield House for future anniversaries or celebrations. It was the perfect place for us to celebrate with all of our family and friends. Not only was the entire weekend unforgettable and perfect for us, our guests are still talking about how stunning the view was over a month after the event! The Warfield House is the perfect place to get married if you are looking for excellence, a quality experience, and photo opportunities and memories wherever you look.

When we saw this place in the summer, with it's green valley hills and blooming flowers, we knew this was place we wanted to get married. The modern, yet rustic feel, combined with the incredible view took our breath away. The Warfield House Inn property serves as a working farm as well, and it was so great to see happily grazing animals (and even some llamas); they really added to the aesthetic. And even though this was a farm, we did not find that it smelled farmy. The on-site coordinator, Katy, was thorough, flexible, and helpful during our planning process. We had to DIY a lot of our wedding due to budget constraints, so we had a lot on our plates, but Katy was very helpful in making suggestions and suggesting vendors. We also appreciated that she was happy communicating via email, because we lived 2 hours away and couldn't do everything on-site. Another thing that stood out to us, was that Warfield House Inn will only book a single wedding per weekend, and thus, we didn't feel pressured, or crunched for time due to hectic site schedules. Warfield was very flexible, and was open to just about every idea. For example, it was really important for us to have our dog with us at our wedding, and although dogs are not allowed to stay on-site overnight at Warfield, we were able to have her present at our ceremony and that flexibility meant the world to us. The Warfield House Inn also serves as a B&B, boasting 2 beautiful houses. (One house is more modern and updated, the others is slightly dated but still roomy and nice.) Having a place to stay on-site was incredible, as there are not a lot of hotels nearby in the Berkshires. We rented out the apartment and the attached house, and had our entire bridal party stay there. It was nice to be able to hang out with them, have dinner together, and enjoy the valley before the wedding. The inn owners even had some fruit and muffins for us, which was a thoughtful touch. We love the idea of coming back to Warfield for future anniversaries and gatherings. For the weekend of the wedding, everything went wonderfully. Katy and her partner acted as the orchestrator, making sure the vendors were where they were needed to be, when they were needed, and we were able to focus more on enjoying the wedding and taking pictures. Oh and can I tell you about the stars? At the end of the night, Katy and her partner prepared a fire pit for our guests. It was such a wonderful experience to look up and see a wide sky filled with stars! This was really important to us because we were having a space-themed wedding. Our photographer was able to capture some gorgeous shots of the Milky Way. If there were any suggestions that I were to make for Warfield, it would be to make their roadside signs way bigger! At least a dozen of our guests drove past the signs and ended up late for the ceremony. And cell phone reception is pretty bad in the Berkshires. So unless Warfield gets some bigger signs, you might want to consider giving your guests detailed directions (and photos) on how to get there. The other suggestion would be to get the second of the two properties, the Bungalow, updated and air conditioning installed. Our guests were *in love* with the decor and feel of the Main House, but the Bungalow could stand to be matched up. If you're thinking about a Berkshire Mountain wedding experience, do yourself a favor and stop by the Warfield House Inn. There is a good chance you will be just as captivated as we were.

When we began our wedding venue search, my husband and I were looking for a gorgeous location in MA where we could plan a large amount of the wedding ourselves, that would allow us on-site accommodations for a wedding weekend. Warfield House Inn was the first place we toured, and despite looking at quite a few others afterward, we were certain from the beginning that Warfield would be where we would get married. This is an absolutely outstanding venue for a DIY wedding for the following reasons. Location/Accommodations: As is apparent, the location itself is atop a mounting and is simply STUNNING. The ceremony site is located in front of a breathtaking, unobstructed vista. The rest of the grounds, equally as gorgeous, make for exquisite wedding pictures. The presence of some farm animals adds quirkiness and charm (my guests adored taking pictures with them). The two large inns on site accommodated our entire wedding party, immediate family and a few friends. They were perfectly comfortable and allowed us room and privacy to socialize for the whole wedding weekend. The housekeeper was incredibly friendly and understanding. DIY: Warfield allowed us to choose almost all of our own vendors. They did have a list of pre-approved vendors who we could work with without vetting. We ended up using several people from their list as it made things easier. This allowed us to created the budget-friendly and very personal wedding we wanted. The only exception is the bar, which must be provided through Warfield. Despite some large misunderstandings regarding the bar, the management of Warfield was willing to compromise with us graciously. The bar service was friendly, professional, and allowed our guests to have a great time! Activities: The venue works in conjunction with Berkshire East, which is just down the road. Each room came with a mountain coaster token, so the day after our wedding, the wedding party went over the resort and had tons of fun. There are many more activities at the resort depending on the season. The Management: Katy Williams is the picture of professionalism and organization. She is incredibly prompt with communication whether email, phone or in-person. She is one of the most organized people I have ever met, and will not let any details go unnoticed or forgotten. She has a great amount of experience in hosting a smooth-running wedding. Throughout the entire planning experience, she was nothing but entirely friendly and pleasant. I truly believe she cares about every wedding she coordinates. I would highly recommend Warfield House Inn to host your wedding. Your pictures will be gorgeous, you will be able to create your own unique wedding, and you will get tons of help from the management to make your wedding vision become a reality in a gorgeous and fun setting.

It's a beautiful setting and we had such a blast. It gives a great opportunity for family and friends to spend the weekend together in a gorgeous setting, and guests loved the farm and the animals. We had the ceremony at the gazebo and the reception under the pavilion, and it was so great having it all in the fresh air. I would say, however, that the management could use some improvement. They did not always seem very organized, and I frequently had to follow up with them to make sure that things were correct and all set, which made it feel like even more work. And the wedding/reception coordinating part of the staff was not always that helpful. In the end, everything worked out fine, but I'd recommend just keeping track of documentation and making sure everyone is on the same page, and being patient. As a sidenote, the bartenders were awesome!

I would have paid all the money in the world for this view of the mountains and the leaves changing color. even in the spring or summer its beautiful. Gerry was very friendly and helpful. talk to him about anything and everything you can!! the down side is that I told them how i wanted things set up and they didnt quite follow what i said so the day before and morning of we were running around getting everything in place. I wouldnt change it for the world though. I ended up having everything the way that I wanted it. It was perfect.

The warfield was an excellent place for a wedding venue. The staff was patient and kind, especially the coordinator melanie. Just watch out--you can't bring in yoru own alcohol (even though you can bring in your own caterer) and they hike up the price a bit.
