HitchSwitch was born of an entrepreneurial spirit and the desire to make life easier. HitchSwitch founder Jake Wolff was in his first year at Fordham Law School, where he toyed with the idea of starting a business and hoped to experience his "Eureka!" moment.
As most good ideas come from real life, when Jake got married in 2010 his wife wished for straightforward, easy step-by-step instructions to simplify the name change process, and HitchSwitch was born!
Jake believes no one should ever wait in long lines at multiple government offices; only to find out they completed an outdated name change form. He sought to create a website where one could quickly and easily change their name after the "Big Day."

Not worth the price. They send you 4 forms that can be printed online and you only need to use one envelope because you have to physically go into social security and the dmv. The ...
worst part of my purchase was upgrading to the platinum package for the passport photo. This was an additional $40 for the easy of having a photo taken at home and delivered to you but the photo never arrived. I had to reach out twice and they continued to tell me to "be patient". After a month and a half of waiting so I could submit my passport paperwork and move to the next step, I asked for a refund and went to cvs. They only refunded me $15... complete waste of time and money!
