HME was so amazing to us our entire wedding planning experience. We booked our venue at The Felt Mansion so it was only natural we hired HME as our Month-of coordinator! Holden was quick to answer questions, give advice, and point out missing gaps in our self wedding planning process. Our wedding went so smoothly that many of our guests complimented us because they had never seen one go so well! We are eternally grateful to Holden and his team.

I cannot say enough good things about Holden and his team. My fiance and I purchased the full service wedding package and he was AMAZING. We are totally clueless when it comes to event planning, and he helped us set reasonable budgeting expectations, helped us pick out the perfect vendors, and kept our timeline so on track that there was very little stress even the week of the wedding. Multiple guests commented that they could tell we were really having fun on our wedding day, which we owe in large part to Holden and his team. I cannot recommend Holden Michael events enough.

Holden and the team were excellent helping us coordinate all the last minute details as we got closer to our big day. Not only did he keep us on track by flagging details we hadn’t considered, but he also coordinated with each of our vendors too. It made for such peace of mind leading up to our wedding weekend knowing we had Holden and team in our corner. And then the big day itself went off without a hitch with Holden leading the way, fielding questions, and making sure our vision was executed to perfection. He helped deliver a perfect day and we’re so thankful for Holden and the team. Can’t recommend enough!!

Holden and his team were excellent! We used the partial planning package, and Holden expertly distilled my wife’s and my (sometimes conflicting) decor visions into a cohesive, beautiful event. Our wedding day was a dream - Holden and his team handled the details so we could focus on soaking up every minute of the day. He brought a calm, commanding presence to managing everything from wardrobe malfunctions to forgotten items. I couldn't recommend Holden and his team at HME more. We hired them as full service planners for our wedding and they exceeded every expectation. They took my very specific creative vision and executed it beautifully. They're professional, detail-oriented, punctual and willing to think outside the box. We planned our wedding in SW Michigan from out of state and having the HME team there to manage everything locally with their expertise and knowledge of the area was key. The wedding was perfect! We hired Holden Michael Events as our coordinator, and I’m so thankful we did! Sarah Gonzales was our main month-of coordinator. She helped us plan and think through all the details we had missed. She went above and beyond. She even got us compost bins (which was very difficult)! She and her assistant Meghan did an amazing job on the day: setting up, maintaining the flow, and keeping me and my partner fed. Highly recommend them!
Hiring Holden was the smartest thing we did when planning our wedding. We were originally scheduled for April of 2020, and COVID shut us down. He was able to reschedule all of our vendors (TWICE!) and kept all of our people organized and in the loop. When we finally had the wedding, in 2022, he and his crew took such good care of us. All of our vendors were organized, our decoration set-up/take-down was flawless, and he kept the wedding party on time. Everything flowed so wonderfully.

We were fortunate to have worked with the Holden Michael Events (HME) team for our summer wedding! We did the one-month coordination package, but the team was always there to answer any questions and worked with other vendors, even before the month of coordination planning kicked in!
Holden's presence was extremely calming for us on the day of the wedding and prior. Holden was gentle in guiding us to where we needed to be, provided insightful advice on what we needed to address in terms of event logistics, and was willing to work with our many requests to make our day truly spectacular.
Holden's planning prowess shined on our wedding day, as everything felt extremely seamless. As for many brides/grooms, the wedding day can feel a little chaotic, but having Holden and the whole HME team there made everything so easy that you can actually enjoy spending a special day with the people you love.
Holden and his staff are extraordinary in their creativity, professionalism, and attention to detail. He is a terrific communicator who really listens to his client and takes time to understand what they have in mind. Because of Holden's efforts, we had an exceptional venue, an amazing caterer, and an awesome band. I truly can't say enough good things about Holden Michael Events. Holden and his team were with us for 3 years because we were one of the covid 2020 weddings that got pushed. We hired him for design and month out coordination and it made the wedding easy to manage, a lot less stressful, and absolutely beautiful.
Holden and his team are top notch professionals and were available when we reached out with questions, provided great recommendations, and coordinated every detail. I am not good at design, so we hired him and his team for that. He listened to what we wanted, the aesthetic we were trying to achieve, and the general vibe of the wedding and delivered a beautiful design that was right on point for what we were looking for and then some. He handled all coordination of design rentals (tables, chairs, flowers, linens, etc.), was timely in sending invoices, and flagging when deposits and final payments were due. Everything was in an online platform you get access to that made it all very easy to manage.
On the day of our wedding it poured (go figure it was beautiful all weekend until our wedding day). He was able to help me make quick decisions, keep me calm, and make pivots as we needed. The rain ended up stopping just in time for a beautiful wedding. Everyone kept remarking how beautifully designed the space was. Holden handled coordination of all the vendors and kept us on track with our schedule.
The best and most important thing I can say is that I simply wasn't worried about anything logistically that day. I had total confidence and peace of mind that Holden and his team had everything covered. And they did. Everything was perfect. It was a beautiful day, no stress (other than the rain), and I 100% attribute that to Holden and his team's ability to properly plan, adapt on the fly, and execute. This is the wedding planning team you should hire.
Holden and his team were absolutely fantastic! I was on the fence about even hiring a wedding planning, and I am SO GLAD we did. I loved that there were different levels of packages so we could pick the amount of support we needed. We went with "month of coordinator" but Holden was also awesome about answering questions over email and setting up a few meetings with us throughout the wedding planning process to share his insights and help us make decisions. He was really committed to understanding our vision and helping bring it to life! I really appreciated his recommended vendors--they were all fabulous. I went into my wedding month so UNSTRESSED. Holden was extremely organized and made everything came together. On the wedding day, my husband, my family and I got to really relax and enjoy the day knowing all the little details were taken care of. Honestly, if there were any issues that arose during the day I wouldn't know about it because Holden took care of everything and I got to spend the whole time living in the moment :)
Holden and his team were amazing! Planning a Michigan wedding from California seemed really daunting but Holden truly made it a seamless experience. Not to mention how carefully he listened to our vague ideas and then brought our vision to life. I'm still dreaming about our perfect day 6 months later!
If you are getting married in West Michigan, Holden Michael Events absolutely must be your planner. We planned our wedding in Michigan while living out of state and never could have done it without Holden advising us every step of the way. Weddings come with plenty of stress on their own, so don’t let logistics and coordination be part of that stress. Our wedding really was our best day ever because Holden Michael Events took care of the logistics for us and were so fun to work with!

Hiring Holden was one of the best decisions we made during the planning process. From our very first Zoom meeting with him, we were overjoyed by how organized he was and how easy he was to talk to. He provided great resources for us that made planning a breeze, and was available for any questions we had throughout the year. Having Holden and Derrick around for our wedding weekend was such a joy and allowed us to just relax and be present with every moment of our day. We didn't have to worry about a single thing knowing that they were in our corner. There wasn't a detail they missed or a single object they failed to pack up at the end of the night (and we sure had a lot of them haha). Our families and friends were so impressed by them. Holden and Derrick were absolutely superb throughout the 15 months we worked together. Holden made time for us whenever we had questions or needed some hand holding. His taste was simply above and beyond, and somehow turned our garbled wedding adjectives into the most classy, gorgeous, festive day would could have ever imagined. Every guest commented on how beautiful every detail was and how smoothly the wedding day went. Trust me, that would not have happened if it was up to my husband and me. The only downside was that we didn't have an excuse to have weekly zoom sessions with Holden once the wedding was over! Don't waste another second debating whether to make Holden Michael Events a part of your day; you won't regret it.
Do yourself a favor and hire Holden and his team! I felt so prepared and organized with Holden on my side for our big day - he answered all of my questions throughout our 2 year engagement and made sure all of my boxes were checked in the month leading up to the wedding. On the day-of, we did not have to lift a finger, allowing all of our family and friends to simply be able to enjoy our celebration, which was the biggest blessing! Holden is incredible! We were one of the many couples who changed our wedding date due to COVID and Holden was always so responsive, calm and helpful throughout the entire process. We hired Holden and his team for Planning and Design Services. Our venue, decor, flowers, etc were all beautiful. He really made our vision come to life and nailed it on the head. Everything was stunning and it was all thanks to his impeccable taste. The entire day ran so smoothly. Holden and his Husband, Derrick, were incredible to work with and made everything looks so easy (even though I know it's not!). Thank times a million Holden & Derrick!!
Wedding planning during a pandemic is horrific. I was so discouraged every time a new regulation was put in place. When my husband and I had to find a new venue two months prior to our wedding day we scheduled a tour at Felt Estate. We knew immediately that we were going to get married in front of their chapel. I had not considered booking a wedding planner but under the circumstances we needed all the help we could get. Holden made sure the rest of the planning process was effortless for me. He communicated with all the vendors and kept me in the loop the entire time. He responded so quickly whenever I'd have a question and reassured me that the day was going to be perfect. The wedding day went smoothly and if any issue occurred I'm still not aware of it to this day. He even saved the day when we couldn't figure out how to bustle my dress. Holden is amazing and I highly recommend booking him for your wedding.
We found Holden through a recommendation from friends who used him for their weddings. Trying to plan and out of state wedding during a pandemic would have not been possible if not for Holden and his team. They handled and communicated with rental company and caterer and completely had everything set up the day of the wedding beautifully. We had to bring in everything to our venue, so having his team handle everything the day of was wonderful that we didn't have to worry about anything. Always was available to talk and discuss options for every part of the wedding and very easy to work with. They made the wedding day run smoothly.
We worked with Holden & Derrick for month-of-coordination services at The Felt Estate in September. While their services were focused largely on the month of our wedding, they made themselves available for vendor recommendations, questions and advice the entire time. Every time we talked to Holden & Derrick, we would always feel so much better and calmer about what we were worried about coming in. (And that's saying something, considering we were planning throughout the changing COVID restrictions & guidance). We trusted their expertise and recommendations implicitly, and it paid off. Our day went smoothly thanks to their advice & coordination. All of our vendors praised working with them, and we saw why.
This was the best money we spent throughout the entire wedding process. If you are going back and forth on having a coordinator - DO IT & make it Holden Michael Events.

We experienced an unfortunate illness during our ceremony that caused quite a bit of panic, but Holden and his team remained calm and poised. They assisted guests, calmed the room, and guided the ceremony to its completion. His response was highly commendable.
In the end, my wedding was absolutely beautiful, romantic, and more elegant than what I envisioned. Holden over-delivers and that is a personal attribute that is evident in his work. The man is stellar!!!
The contributions that Holden and Derrick made to our wedding planning process and big day are one of the key reasons it was a success! They were communicating with us every step of the way and incredibly proactive. It was such a major benefit to have their organization and expertise with us throughout the process. Highly, highly recommend! They were detailed, accountable and undeniably helpful with all parts of the process. We couldn’t imagine doing it without them.
We hired Holden Michael Events and were assigned to work with Derrick. According to family friends who thankfully jumped in to help, Derrick was not proactive in making things happen around the setup and was not motivated to come up with solutions. He didn’t know the answers to simple questions and said things about his job like ‘yikes I’m pretty out of shape for this wedding thing’. Overall, didn’t seem to have a plan of attack to get everything done had he not have had several extra hands willing to help. The staff also spent a lot of time on their phones and ate off our cheese table. I would not recommend Holden Michael Events for large weddings - or anything that has a lot of logistics.

I had Holden as a planner from the beginning, and he took all of my Pinterest boards and dreams and turned them into a reality!! Our wedding exceeded my expectations, and I constantly had guests coming up to me telling me this was the best coordinated wedding they had ever been to.

I knew I wanted to hire a day of wedding coordinator for my wedding, so I did some research and found Holden Michael who offers a month of wedding coordinator package. I am so happy I hired him and went with this package. We met about 6 weeks before the wedding to go over final decisions, contracts, and design details. Holden was very well organized and paid close attention to every detail helping keep me on track and on top of everything. Also, he gives you access to his own wedding planning webpage, which I used a lot and it helped me stay organized. He contacted my vendors the week of the wedding to coordinate timing of their arrivals to set up for the wedding, which took a huge stress away from myself and my husband. We had bought many decorations on our own and also rented many as well. He did an amazing job using our items and the rental items to decorate the venue and set it up flawlessly. He kept everyone organized and everything flowed well and worked out perfectly the day of the wedding. I couldn’t have been happier hiring Holden.
