The Holiday Inn & Suites Downtown Duluth offers two amazing venue spaces for your big day. Whether you're envisioning an intimate wedding or the party of the century, our team of wedding experts are here to help. Our Great Lakes Ballroom is ideal for larger weddings ranging form 120 to 320 guests whereas our Lyric Conference Center is perfect for smaller-sized receptions of 120 guests or fewer. Both venue packages include a complimentary night’s stay with champagne and chocolates, complimentary breakfast for two, a banquet room for your rehearsal dinner, and a hospitality room for the gift opening. With our wide variety of sleeping rooms, we also have the perfect space for your out-of-town guests and complimentary parking in our attached ramp.

Everyone was absolutely amazing! Super friendly and did such a gorgeous job setting up!
10/10 would recommend this for a reception space! The wedding coordinator Alyssa is one in a million and the staff didn’t hesitate to help us the day off and the night before the wedding! The Great Lakes Ballroom is a huge room that you can really make your own! They kept telling us “anything is possible” and truly it showed! I can’t recommend this space enough!
We recently had our wedding at the Holiday Inn-Downtown Duluth, and it was an absolutely incredible experience from start to finish. The staff were exceptionally helpful, always going above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. The planning process was a breeze, thanks to Alyssa and her professional and attentive team who made sure every detail was perfect.
On the big day, everything exceeded our expectations. Unlike many other venues- we had access to our ballroom and get ready rooms from Friday afternoon to Sunday morning. I cannot express how affordable and reasonable the pricing is for everything. The entire weekend the service was impeccable, and our guests couldn’t stop raving about the food, and the experience overall. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate our special day. We would choose the Holiday Inn again and again!

My daughter had her wedding ceremony at the Lyric Conference Center and her reception in the Great Lakes Ballroom last Saturday. Everyone was really helpful on the day of and everything went well. We especially appreciated Manny. Not sure what his title is there but he made himself available to us for whatever we needed and went above and beyond to help wherever he could, which was extremely nice, especially the morning after when he had done a lot to make our exit way easier than I had anticipated!
We just had our reception here last Saturday and to say we are happy is an understatement. We recieved compliments on the space, food and service! We were blown away with the kindness and thought put into everything!
We had an absolutely wonderful wedding here! We utilized the Lyric Conference Center, had 70 people at the reception, and it was the perfect size! It was easy to turn the conference space into a beautiful wedding! The sales manager Alyssa was our coordinator throughout the entire planning process and she is absolutely amazing! So helpful! Jessica was our day of “coordinator”, and she was also so helpful and kind! Highly recommend, 10/10, I would have my wedding here again (although I hope I don’t have to get married again🤞🏻).
Things went perfectly!
Our wedding was PERFECT! From the very start, the Holiday Inn worked with us to make sure we did not have to stress about anything. We worked with Kirsten leading up to the day and she was wonderful. She worked with us to get everything we wanted and needed. We had asked if we could get into the space the night before and, since there was not another event, she made sure it happened. She made great suggestions when we asked. We had a wedding of around 250 people and the food was great (we got the country fried chicken) It tasted as good on our wedding as it did the day we had a taste test (Kirsten suggested we try at our tasting and we are glad she did!). The chef did a great job with the food and the staff got it out quickly for our guests to enjoy. We did late night snacks and they came out on time and were very tasty. It was also perfect to have the hotel right there so our guests could enjoy themselves without having to worry about who was going to drive them home. The amenities that they give you with your wedding made the Holiday Inn a no-brainer. We got a room to stay in, complimentary breakfast, a deal on hotel rooms for our guests, a free room for our grooms dinner, and a room for to use as storage that we used as a kid room during the wedding. You will not regret having your wedding at the Holiday Inn and Suites in Duluth!

Kirsten and Adam were amazing to work with. From start to finish they were very professional. Their years of experience is definately apparent as everything ran as smooth as possible on the day of the wedding. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day and it was a pleasure working with the Holiday Inn & Suite- Downtown!
We were so happy with the HolidayInn in Downtown Duluth. All of our guests were traveling from out of town - so it was very important that we were able to get a large block of rooms for guests to stay in. All guest rooms and also all gathering spaces have been recently remodeled at the beginning of 2014 - so the spaces were beautiful and guest rooms are clean and updated. Very easy for guests to get to other area attractions as well.
Kirsten was great to work with - she was great. Had a great knowledge of time tables and also food and drink needs. Brandon was there the entire day of the wedding, through the end of the reception was the best! The staff was awesome and all of the meals came out perfectly. Kept a great schedule and checked in with my parents multiple times to make sure everything was going smoothly. We were in great hands and had such a wonderful night and experience!

I was so thrilled with our decision to have our reception at the Holiday Inn in Duluth! They staff was so wonderful and gave the groom and I their personal cell phone numbers to call/text if we had any questions or concerns along the way. They made us feel like their top priority and helped make our day so beautiful! All the planning in the world would not have mattered, the Holiday Inn staff did everything for us and went above and beyond our expectations!
They took care of everything. Price for food was reasonable given the large portions. Convenient to have a large ballroom accompanying the hotel so guests don't have to drive anywhere.
The holiday inn staff was wonderful. We had pork tenderloin, mashed potatos, and green beans. Everyone said how great the food was. The venue is large, great dance floor. Staff was great from start to finish, gets back to you quickly and does everything they can to accomodate you. Prices are also reasonable for the area
Overall, our experience was wonderful at the Holiday Inn. Everything ran very smooth and was very straight-forward. Communication was fantastic! Kirsten in sales was great at keeping us posted and answering questions promptly. Brandon the banquet manager was terrific! We had so much fun and worried about nothing!
