Great experience here with awesome customer service from Crystal, the hotel is nice and they offered a competitive rate. All of our guests who stayed here raved about how nice the hotel was in terms of quality as well as the service that they received.

The staff at this venue is fantastic! They are extremely accommodating and would be great to work with. Although my fiancé and I decided to book a different venue (based on the overall vibe of the space), we would have had complete confidence that our wedding would have been executed perfectly at this Holiday Inn.

Let me start off by saying that I did not actually have my wedding here. I reached out to the Holiday Inn through theknot.com to request more information about potentially hosting our wedding and reception. I received only 1 message back from the Sales/Catering manager. In the message I received, I was told that I would get another email with the wedding packages and some photos (but I could go to the website in the meantime). After 1 week, I still had not received any further information, so I reached out to the Sales/Catering manager through email. That was a month ago, and I still have not heard back from her. This sent up a red flag to me because if you cannot take the time to respond to my messages, then what are you going to be like if I actually chose to book my wedding & reception at your location? I'm sure the location is lovely, but be prepared to spend a lot of time and energy trying to get ahold of someone.

We got married at the Holiday Inn on November 14th, 2015. We orignally pick Holiday Inn for its convience and reasonable prices but the reason that we ended up LOVING this venue was for wonderful staff. They made sure every single detail was taken care of exactly the way we wanted, we did not have to worry about a single thing the day off the rehersal or the wedding! During planning they were always available to answer all the questions my family and I had and were excited to help us planner big day. The manager even made sure to by a tie to match our peacock theme wedding! We have recieved many complements on the convience, beauty and seemlessness of our wedding! I would highly reccomend this venue to anyone for any type of event! I cannot say enough nice things about this Holiday Inn & its staff! I will try to post pictures as soon as I recieve them! I searched EVERYWHERE for my dream wedding reception location. This was the first place I found that I would be the only bride at the location. Many places I looked at would have multiple weddings happening at once. Some up to 4 or 5. I was completely turned off by this and decided I needed to find a venue that would only allow one wedding at a time. This became a very hard thing to find but I found it in this location. The other thing I loved about this venue was that my wedding guest didn't have to leave at all. They were able to stay here the night of the wedding and it had a restaurant on-site (Benniagn's) so if they were hungry they had a place to go to. The hotel has been renovated recently and looks like a hotel that should be in downtown Chicago. It's incredible! My guests could not stop talking about how beautiful the hotel and the ballroom was. After the reception was over we had reserved a room in Bennigan's called the VIP room. This was set aside for our guests to hang out and continue to party after the wedding reception ended. We had purchased late night snacks and they were waiting for us at midnight when we arrived at the room. My guests kept raving about how amazing it was that no one had to leave the hotel for anything! If you want a wedding in the suburbs but want an upscale feel like a hotel in the city, please come and visit this hotel. You will not be disappointed at all. I love everyone who worked there. They were so kind and helpful esp. The event coordinator and the manager on the front desk is awesome. Totally recommend this place and they abs. Made my wedding so memorable!

I was so impressed by the Holiday Inn in Elgin. Normally when you think wedding venue you don't think of the Holiday Inn, but this hotel was beautiful. Our hotel room was amazing and our guests really enjoyed the Bennigans that was open after the reception. The service was great and Kaitlyn did a wonderful job of making our reception spectacular.

The people that helped us plan our wedding were beyond wonderful!!!! They were just so helpful and wonderful!!!! The holiday inn team were beyond wonderful!!!! They did anything we asked them to do and made sure our day was everything that we wanted and more!!!! I have told all my friends that this is the place they all should get married because they were beyond wonderful!!!! Everything we could have asked for the Holiday Inn team provided that for us!!!! If you want a venue that will do their very best to make your day more special than anything in your life this is the place to have your special day!!!!!

I was married at the Elgin Holiday Inn a couple months ago and it was a wonderful experience! Everyone at the Holiday Inn was fantastic and catered to whatever request I had. They were wonderful to work with. When we decided to get married we had only 4 months till the big day and so much to do. The ladies at the Holiday Inn helped me get everything done without cutting corners. When the day came I could not have been happier with how beautiful the room looked and organized the whole night was. They had everything taken care of from start to finish! if you are considering a wedding here I would give it a perfect score! Oh and they also just renovated the entire place and this is not your typical Holiday Inn, I would compare it to some of the top hotels in the Chicago land area!

Our experience at Holiday Inn & Suites Northwest-Chicago was awesome. We held our reception for 185 guests there, had a block of rooms for our guests and even had an after party at the Bennigans on site. We booked in the spring of 2013 and worked with Kaitlyn and her assistant Melody throughout the year to plan all of the details. Our package included Hors D'oeuvers, salad,a plated chicken meal, rolls, a champagne toast, the wedding cake and beverages. We added an open bar and an ice cream bar. The table linens were also part of the package. The food was excellent and we had 6 options in our price range to choose from at the tasting. Our guests commented on the quality and quantity of the food. Kaitlyn and Melody were on top of all the arrangements every step of the way. They were very accomodating and easy to work with. Nancy and other front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel staff worked welI with our DJ, photographers and florist. I especially want to mention Mark Captian of Banquets. He was very attentive and helpful during the reception and made sure everything thing went smoothly. We are greatful for his efforts to make our reception just what our daughter wanted it to be. Our all our experience was awesome and we are impressed and pleased with this facility. It was recently updated so guest rooms, the ballroom and common areas were fresh and bright. We highly recommend it to our family and friends.

My niece had her reception at the Holiday Inn in Elgin 2 weeks ago. The room was gorgeous and the food and service was excellent. I have never been to a more beautiful reception.

We not only had the wedding at the Holiday Inn, but also had the rehearsal dinner. We couldn't have had better service. We had people coming in from out of town, so this was perfect. The Hotel is AMAZING....from the time we walked in the door...through to the rehearsal dinner....to the reception. The one word that comes to mind....PERFECTION!!! Nothing was missed! The food was perfect! The staff couldn't be any nicer. We had looked at a lot of places to have the reception. Not only did the beauty of this hotel sell us, but the fact that we were the only wedding. A lot of places have 2-3 wedding receptions going on at the same time. So glad that we decided on this hotel. Thank you so much, Mark! You kept everything moving like clock work. Thank you to everyone else that made this a perfect day!!!

I can not express how pleased we were with the level of service we received. The banquet room was clean, organized, and the staff was extremely helpful and attentive to all aspects of our needs. Melody went out of her way to help us with obtaining a garder that we had lost in transit. I can not tell you how impressed and thankful that we choose your facility with such an exquisite staff! I highly recommend the Holiday Inn & Suites in Elgin for any event!!

First off let me state that I have no personnel ties to the Holiday Inn & Suites Northwest-Chicago and up until the day we toured the facility over a year ago had never stepped into the place. This review is legit and I cannot say enough nice things about them. Kaitlyn Harm and Mark (sorry I don't know his last name) were wonderful to work with. The wait staff and bar staff were great as well and very friendly. We have received many compliments from our wedding guests on the Hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour, dinner and desserts. From the time we put down our deposit almost a year before our wedding, Kaitlyn was always available to answer our questions and help us plan an amazing wedding reception. She worked with us and our parents to arrange everything from our appetizers and desserts, to getting the groom's family all on one floor for hotel rooms! She worked up a custom package for us that worked with our budget and what we wanted most for our reception. The ball room is beautiful with the up-lighting and draping. The food is fantastic, we had trouble picking out what to serve because there were so many options. The staff who served the appetizers/food/drinks were all courteous and professional. We received so many compliments! When the reception ended, Mark took care of all of our belongings (cake topper, table numbers, guest book, etc) and stored them for us until the next morning. He made sure nothing was lost or forgotten. A lot of our guests stayed at the hotel that night and everyone enjoyed their stay. Kids enjoyed the pool, and adults enjoyed the bar. This Holiday Inn & Suites was the PERFECT location for our wedding. They helped make our day easy and memorable.

I was very happy with the Holiday Inn in Elgin. They were very helpful in the planning process. They were also supportive on the day of the wedding and made sure we had everything we needed. The only thing that was not quite as we asked was the food, our guests had a choice between beef medallions or chicken. The beef they got was more of a filet not medallions. The guests had some difficulty cutting it with the butter knife at the table. My parents asked for steak knives and were told no. Food was good but not quite as good as at the tasting. Overall, it was a great place to have the reception. We were very pleased!

Elgin Holiday Inn Elgin IL I want to express my thanks and gratitude to the entire staff at the Elgin Holiday Inn. I begin planning my daughter’s Wedding in 2012, I started the process with one Banquet Manager and she left so I had to pick up the planning with a new one (Kaitlyn Harm). I must admit I was a little concerned about how we would bond together in the planning, well, I quickly put my concerns to rest because Kaitlyn, Mark, Angela, and the entire staff at the Front desk was and is Fantastic! Kaitlyn did a great job in helping me make my daughter’s dream wedding come true, she had suggestions, she shared ideas and was very honest and professional yet personal during the planning. She was also personable and patience when helping the Bride and Groom make their dinner selections, I can’t thank her enough for helping to make my daughter’s Wedding day Perfect!. Angela was also a big help in getting the room Block set up for me, I had many guest travel in and stay at your Hotel, and 2 couples traveled from London and loved their Hotel stay. All of my guest could not say enough about how beautiful the Hotel was and how much they enjoyed their stay and the Wedding. Mark, he is my Busy Bee. He is so nice yet professional and personable; he was there on the night of Rehearsal and made sure that all of our accommodations’ were taken care of that night and the following day (the Wedding) so that the Wedding would be a success. He made sure the room was set-up to perfection for the Wedding and implemented any changes that were requested. Mark and Kaitlyn partnered with my Vendors to ensure that my Daughter’s vision for her Wedding came to fruition. I can’t forget Nancy, the other young man at the Front Desk and Maria in Reservations. They did an excellent job on booking guest and keeping things on target. The mother of the Groom created Goody Bags for the entire group of out of Town Guest; Kaitlyn agreed that they could be given out as the Guest checked in, it worked out great! The guest got their Goody Bags and your Staff did a fantastic job of keeping it under control. I could go on and on about the Staff in this Hotel but I am sure you can already tell that I was more than happy with their services. The Bride and Groom had a blast at their Wedding and Reception and so did their Guest. I give them a 10Plus in every area of service and would I plan another Event at the Holiday Inn, I already have for 2014. YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME! I have photographed two weddings at the Holiday Inn. The more recent wedding was on 10/18/2012 (see sweet Nadia's response above). The staff was very friendly. Never before have I had a staff ask me how I was doing as the photographer and if I needed anything. They were also courteous to the d.j. by checking on him throughout the evening as well. The staff was concerned with everyone's experience at the hotel from the bride and groom to hired staff for the wedding. I noticed the staff was always close by if help was needed. You will receive excellent service from this staff. I highly recommend their accomodating services.

What a great hotel and wonderful staff! We had our wedding reception at the Holiday Inn Elgin on October 20, 2012. Everything was just perfect -- set-up, service, complimentary room, etc. We had the best time and would not change a single thing about how our big day went. Kaitlyn Harm and Mark were great, attentive to our ever needs (even those we didn't know we had). Our suite was newly renovated and absolutely impeccable. If you're looking for a nice place in the Elgin area (near Chicago, IL) to have your wedding/reception at, this is it! I highly recommend this hotel (for any occasion). Oh, and the Bennigan's staff was very accommodating for our "after party". Their chicken fingers and sliders are delicious! The service was excellent.

We thought this place as perfect! Absolutely everything went right. The venue was just recently remodeled. We were the first wedding on the new dance floor! What more is there!
