Our favorite feature is the open-air veranda that spans the length of the ballroom overlooking the gulf with panoramic waterfront views, a spectacular sunset can be the highlight of your cocktail hour. Duval Ballroom is a gem on the gulf, a free-standing event space complete with all the amenities for your guests. It is private with an intimate and romantic vibe. I recently got married on 11/23/24 and I wanted to take a moment to share about our special day. I'll start by saying that we booked a suite at the Edge Hotel which was absolutely perfect. The views were amazing and we had plenty of room for our stylists to do myself and my bridesmaids hair and makeup. There was also plenty of great photo locations throughout the property, our photographer took some phenomenal photos in our room, downstairs in the lobby, and outside of the property. We had our ceremony at the Greek church in Clearwater and then had our reception at the Duval Ballroom. We worked closely with Ashley and everything turned out amazing, the food, service, location, view, and everything throughout the night was perfect. We had many guests from out of town so the venue being right next door the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites and the Edge Hotel was perfect for everyone as it was just walking distance once the party was over. The night before our wedding, after our rehearsal we spent the night at Jimmy's on the Edge rooftop bar which was great, there was live music and the drinks/apps were great! The location was perfect for us as everything was convenient and right on the water which was just beautiful! I would recommend any brides looking for a venue on Clearwater beach to check out the Duval Ballroom.

We used Holiday Inn and Suites Clearwater for our wedding. The Wedding Sales Coordinator Ashley was wonderful. She promptly answered all of questions and made sure the transition from the ceremony to the reception in the Duval Ballroom ran smoothly. Also.anthing she could address, she did. In regards to the venue itself, it is a very nice venue and rooms were nice. The elevator stopped working but was fixed prior to event. Our sand ceremony items went missing and some of our guest were incorrectly directed to the wrong area by the front desk for the ceremony. Also if fam tried to book rooms under the block after certain hours it was not a smooth process. Fam was also being told no more rooms were available under block when there were some. then there was a room issue with one of my guests that I wont mention here Other than the few issues listed, we enjoyed our wedding thanks to Ashley! the 4 stars are due to Ashley and her services.

We had our destination wedding at the Holiday Inn Clearwater Beach Duval Ballroom in July 2018. It was such a great experience working with Nancy and all of the staff at the Holiday Inn. We had our ceremony on the lower pool deck and our reception in the Duval Ballroom. This is really a hidden gem on Clearwater Beach. Much of my vendor team had not done weddings here and were so impressed. The views and accommodations were fantastic. The location is right on the water, so they don't technically have a 'beach' but our ceremony and reception was right at the water's edge and was just picturesque. We had 80 people travel to Florida from Ohio for our wedding and many of them stayed at the Holiday Inn also. Everyone loved the hotel, pool, restaurant, game room, and everything about the wedding venue. The outdoor veranda of the Duval was so amazing to watch the sunset and even partake in the daily 'sunset shot' from Jimmy's Fish House. The staff at the Duval ballroom was fantastic. The food was good and came out in a very timely manner. The bartenders were great. The venue included all serving staff, tables, chairs, linens, serving ware, chair covers and sashes making it super easy to plan! Nancy has been the event coordinator here for many many years and it shows. She is cool calm and collected and knows exactly what she's doing to keep everything moving with the timeline. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone for a wedding or any event.

Our wedding ceremony was held downstairs on the balcony overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. It was setup beautifully, the staff did a great job. Our reception was held in the Duval Ballroom also located at the Holiday Inn. Our families decorated the room so it was absolutely gorgeous. The food and beverage manager was great. She followed the flow chart to a T. The food was fantastic and the bartenders were awesome. It was a little warm at first in the room because there were 120 people (and the thermostat was turned down as low as it could go) but after we kicked open the doors, everything cooled down pretty quickly. The wedding coordinator at the Holiday Inn (Nancy) is sort of clueless with everything and didn't really help with much other than handing her the payments and sending her our food and beverage lists. So definitely know what you want there because she is not helpful at all.

What caught our eye about this venue was the view from the balcony. Our dream was for our guests to have cocktails on the balcony as the Florida sun was setting. The service was up in the air. When we first booked the Holiday in there was one coordinator and then 3 weeks before the wedding there was a different coordinator all together. I called to get up to date with everything and if I didn't I would not had known. Even though there was a new coordinator everything turned out in the end.

If you're planning a beach wedding this is a great alternative! We had a gorgeous view of the water and an evening sunset. The ballroom is large. The staff is friendly. Nancy, our coordinator, was flexible especially when it started to rain and we needed to change our location AND time. Food was delicious. My guests had a great time!

If you want a cool atmosphere for not only the ceremony but for the reception too, this is the place. The entire staff at the Holiday Inn on Clearwater beach was the best - top notch - Especially Cheryl who was there to ease my concerns and frustrations. The lower desk where the ceremony was held meets the Gulf of Mexico. We were able to get lots of great shots for our pictures. The Duval Ballroom where the reception was, is equally beautiful. The veranda outside was perfect to watch the water and get some awesome sunset pictures. It's close enough to stay connected to the guests and listen to the music from the DJ. The food is stupendous as well. I heard many times that the food served was the best of any other wedding attending. The wait staff was very helpful come the end of the night. They washed my cake topper, put the top of the cake in their walk in and washed our toasting flutes and had them packed up and ready for pick up the next morning. I was able to enjoy the after party without worrying about my stuff or cleaning up. I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone who wants a beach wedding. It was perfect.
