I cannot stress enough how amazing the Holland is. Not only is the space STUNNING, but Joy and Maren were phenomenal to work with. They were incredibly helpful throughout the entire planning process; we met several times and emailed back and forth frequently ironing out the details. Our guests had an amazing time, raved about the space and the food; our day couldn't have been more perfect.
The Holland was amazing to work with and our wedding day could not have gone any better! Their team is extremely organized and all of our guests raved about the food and service that the Holland provided. Cannot recommend them enough for your wedding day!
This is one of the most beautiful places to get married in Omaha! The building is so versatile and gorgeous from corner to corner. Their staff is incredible and I could not have had a better experience each and every time I am there! Caitlin and Amber make such a great team and were incredibly wonderful to work with!
The team was very professional and handy before and after the reception. I never thought to have my reception at the Orpheum Theater, but Caitlin and her team made it a phenomenal experience. My wedding turend out beautiful and my family and friends enjoyed their time.
My husband and I had our wedding and reception at the Holland Performing Arts Center and couldn't be happier that we did! Not only was the venue a stunning backdrop for our day, but the staff made everything so simple. The coordinator,
Georgia Gruenler, was fabulous and ensured everything ran smoothly and perfectly. The Guckenheimer catering team was amazing to work with and the food was delicious. They were also very open and accommodating to our unconventional wedding food choices! Overall, everything was perfect and we couldn't have asked for a better day!
Beautiful venue and exceptional staff! I would highly recommend this venue for both ceremonies and receptions.
We held our entire wedding and reception at Holland Performing Arts Center. The wedding ceremony took place in the outdoor courtyard, followed by hor d'oeuvres in the Ovations Bar. Guests were then ushered to the Scott Recital Hall for a delicious dinner reception, followed by desserts, dancing and live music in the open air lobby. Georgia and her team were absolutely AMAZING to work with! The setting was beautiful, gourmet food and drinks was scrumptious, and guests (and the bride) loved the easy flow of the entire evening within one building. Highly recommended to brides!
We had our ceremony and reception at the Holland Performing Arts Center for our June wedding, and it was absolutely perfect! Everything from beginning to end was flawless. We worked with Cailin (event coordinator there--such an amazing woman!!!), and she really just took the wheel and made the planning process so easy. She was extremely helpful with getting vendors called and making sure that wedding day went smoothly. Chuck in catering was also super great to work with! He was very organized and was very accommodating with requests. All in all, we had an amazing experience. This venue is absolutely unforgettable, and it helped to make our day so perfect!
The Holland made the wedding reception of our dreams a reality! When searching for a venue, we desired a location that reflected our tastes and values as a couple. In addition, we wished to partner with individuals who were passionate about their work and could help us implement our vision for the big day. We found all of this and more at the Holland. The space itself is beautiful, the architecture modern and the design contemporary. The professionalism and abilities of the staff exceeded our wildest expectations. Everyone we worked with was amazing, this is especially true of the event coordinator we worked with. Leading up to the wedding she helped us get in touch with vendors and was quick to return emails and phone calls with questions we had leading up to the wedding day. She assisted with coordinating the entire evening, making the experience stress free and truly enjoyable!
My experience at the Holland was perfect. Our wedding was on 5/21/16. They had a fantastic space for the both bridal parties to get ready (and they let us bring our dresses the night before!). It was always easy to communicate with Georgia, who was our event planner, and she worked with my wedding planner to make the day completely seamless. The space was modern and chic, that left our guests gushing about the beautiful space. Our ceremony was in the ConAgra East Lobby, which had huge windows overlooking the Gene Leahy Mall, where we had photos taken. We were able to have our first look in the Founder's Room, which they made available to us for that special moment. The cocktail hour was held in the First National Bank Lobby, which made for a seamless transition into the reception in the Scott Recital Hall. All rooms were gorgeous and needed minimal decorating. The Holland does have an exclusive caterer, which is Guckenheimer, but I found them to be a pleasure to work with as well as being affordable for the service and quality. You can have a separate vendor for the cake if you wish, which is what I did. Overall, the personal attention and service that we got was fantastic. They met with us multiple times before the big day and they really got to know us and our expectations. Perhaps one of the best parts is how affordable it is. This was one of many venues in Omaha that we toured, and was by far the most beautiful and one of the most inexpensive. As you can tell, I cannot recommend the Holland Performing Arts Center enough.
We had our reception at the Holland Center and would highly recommend it! Cailin was AMAZING. There are not enough words to describe how great she was. She was so responsive to any questions or issues and was so organized. The Holland is beautiful and the location downtown was great if you have out of town guests staying downtown. During the night they kept in contact with my parents the entire night letting them know when they were switching shifts and who they could contact if they had issues. That made the night run so smoothly!! I can't say enough good things about the food, staff and look of this venue!
We got married at the Holland Center this July, and it was the most amazing experience. My husband and I had our ceremony in the ConAgra Lobby which has so much natural light and it was beautiful. We had our cocktail hour in the Ovations bar downstairs and then the receptions was in the Recital hall. We did a lavender uplighting similar to the picture above, and it was so pretty. I would recommend doing a colored lighting because it adds a lot. I can't count how many people gave us compliments on the venue, staff and whole experience. Cailin, the event coordinator at the Holland, was the most wonderful person to work with, and she made everything run smoothly. She doesn't let you worry about anything on the wedding day! Also the catering staff was great, and they ran dinner so smoothly and quickly. I don't think we could have asked for a better venue or wedding day!! Thank you so much to everyone at the Holland for all your hard work and commitment to making our day special.
We had our reception and cocktail hour at the Holland and it was absolutely beautiful. Cailin was amazing to work with and they never balked at any of our (somewhat strange) requests like having a TV for the husker game at the bar. We had our reception the same night as a symphony performance and were a little bit worried about how that would go, but to be honest we didn't even notice. Absolutely beautiful location and great people to work with.
My husband and I got married at the Holland Performing Arts Center in Downtown Omaha last weekend, and the day ended up being everything and more that we had imagined it to be.
What attracted us so much to the Holland was how aesthetically captivating it is. We are a very creative and visual couple, and the facility met our desire for a place that was classy and contemporary but not overly elegant for our taste. Its natural state speaks for itself, so any extra decorating can be kept to a minimum.
The event coordinator we worked with was exceptional. Throughout the entire planning process, she was quick to respond to any questions we had and was very helpful in providing us with thoughts and ideas. The day of the wedding, she was ready and available at every moment to ensure everything was running smoothly.
Guckenheimer, the catering company contracted with the Holland, delivered a phenomenal dinner service. Not only were the meals delicious, but the service was also quick in delivering the food, as well as clearing the tables.
I would highly recommend the Holland Performing Arts Center to anyone considering getting married in the Omaha-Metro area. There is no chance for disappointment with your experience.
We used the Holland Atrium for our Ceremony Space and it was so beautiful. The floor to ceiling windows, grand staircase, and views of the park made it a breathtaking scene for our guests. The staff at the Holland were amazing. They were always there to answer any questions I had and made our wedding feel like it was the most important thing to them also.
Highly recommend!!!
I want to thank the staff of the Holland Performing Arts Center for making our wedding day so seamless, beautiful and enjoyable.
The venue itself makes for a memorable occasion. Our guests were in awe of how striking it was, and we heard nothing but rave reviews about the ceremony and reception locations. We selected the Holland because we're both big fans of the performing arts (it fit our personalities perfectly), but if you're looking for a sophisticated venue in Omaha, I'd highly recommend considering it.
Regarding the planning process, I have only positive things to say. Since we both live in Boston, planning from afar added an extra level of complexity. Fortunately, the Holland event and catering staff members were flexible and willing to meet with me each time I was back in town. Most of our communication was done via email (they were both very responsive), but I was able to arrange site visits and a tasting while I was in Omaha.
The professionalism of the staff is evident and top-notch. I work with venues of all kinds in my day job, and I was very impressed by the Holland. Believe me when I say that they know what they're doing. I appreciated and implemented their suggestions throughout the planning process. My advice to brides-to-be? Trust the professionals.
From my end, the day of went very smoothly. The food was delicious (highly recommend the beef wellingtons), drinks were great and the ambiance was more than anything we could have imagined. We were able to access the building at 9 AM the Saturday morning of our wedding, and had run of our reception space until midnight. No shortage of time!
If I had one minor gripe, it's that there was no lot where we could host parking. But, that's no fault of the staff or the venue. It's just me being picky. Please note: on non-performance evenings, guests are able to utilize the covered area normally reserved for valet parking, which is helpful. Alas, we were married on a Symphony performance night and could only use a designated number of spaces. Fortunately, there's plenty of metered parking around the building and across the street (free on weekends), and also several inexpensive flat lots in close proximity to the building.
In summary, we had a handful of guests tell us that our wedding was the best they'd ever attended, and I must give due credit to the Holland and its staff. Fabulous all around!
Great service and the most beautiful venue in Omaha.
I had my cocktails in the ground level of the Holland, then dinner in the hall on the upstairs level, then dancing in the recital hall. Great views of downtown and the staff were very easy to work with. The food also held true for mass production of a wedding with 350+ guests.
