No need to look any further. This is the Best catering company around with the most amazing team and food!!!!! We had Holly Tate cater our daughter’s wedding January 2024. From beginning to end they were exceptional. I had no idea where to begin and John was so nice and helpful, he made recommendations based off the different things we were looking to do. This made for such a smooth process. Heather worked with us on the different menu items we were looking at and she was so sweet and patient with us. The options are endless! When we met for our tasting, we met with Heather and Chef Ben. The setting was so comfortable, and we really enjoyed getting to know both Heather and Chef Ben, they are such wonderful people who love what they do, and it shows. They had prepared everything as it would be at the wedding and served accordingly. They were so attentive to the comments that were made during the tasting making notes such as when the groom did not care for the tomatoes and passed to the bride Heather made the note no tomatoes for the groom extra for the bride, they did not miss a beat as we ate and made comments. The food was phenomenal!!!! We discussed with them that we had guests with food allergies and Chef Ben and Heather again taking all the notes made sure they knew who those guests were and that there could be no cross contamination of the food. Day of the wedding Heather, Chef Ben and the staff were amazing so attentive made sure to advise our guests with food allergies there would be no cross contamination everything would be provided by the staff only. Chef Ben made sure to provide what was needed for those individuals. Everyone raved about the food and how attentive the staff were. We had one guest in particular who works with catering companies and quoted “this is top level catering they are the example of what a catering company should be. They are one of the best that she has experienced!!” We are still getting comments on how amazing the food was and how wonderful the staff was. They went over and beyond outside their scope of work when they were able to pick up the wedding cake for us that we could not get. Heather is the BEST!!! That was so extremely over the top!!!! We cannot thank them enough. Every bit of that cake got eaten. Thank you so much for everything you all did to help make that day spectacular!!!!

As I come down off the high from my daughter’s stunning wedding on November 4th at Adaumont Farm, I could not recommend Holly Tate Fine Catering any more enthusiastically. The food they served and the staff working the event made the entire day fabulous. Our guests could not stop commenting the delicious food, attentive staff, and the preparation of the signature cocktail. All thanks to Holly Tate. The initial phone call with John made me feel at ease and heard. He listened patiently to the many ideas of a first time MOB, he gave thoughtful suggestions and explained scenarios that had not occurred to me. He clearly cared about our guests and the best way to serve the dinner I was proposing. The next call included Holly and the bride to be. We discussed more details of the meal, appetizers, desserts, drinks, the bar service, and how the evening would flow. What I remember most about that call was how happy my daughter and I were after we hung up. We both felt reassured and thrilled with the decision we made to hire them! The tastings were thoughtfully planned so my husband, the future bride and groom, and I were able to discuss dinner options, pairings, appetizers, courses, and taste each bite of food… Heather, the manager and Chef Ben were with us to answer questions and help guide us with our choices. And they guided us so well! Heather went above and beyond to accommodate requests throughout the process and at the reception. She is a gem and Ben is a talented chef. The special attention given to my husband and me during the reception was unexpected and so appreciated. While we visited with our 170+ guests, the staff would bring us appetizers and be sure our glasses were replenished. It was a delightful touch. The wedding day went off without a hitch and the cuisine was absolutely delicious! The appetizers, salad, pasta options, breads, and desserts could not have been more flavorful. I highly recommend Holly Tate’s staff. They truly are a team and work seamlessly together. They turned a fabulous meal into an evening of perfection. The staff was attentive, clearly cared about the details of the day, heard my personal requests, and made each guest feel special. We will never be able to thank them enough for all they did.

Highly recommend! So easy to work with and everything ran so smoothly for our wedding! They had cocktails ready for my new husband and I right after the ceremony and made sure to check on us to make sure we got to eat that night! Very responsive and go above and beyond! You won’t regret having them cater your wedding!

Holly Tate has plenty of options on food and budgets. They were unavailable on my original date, but I was determined to have them at my wedding. They helped me scheduling and I set a new date! From start to finish Holly Tate helped in every way making it a very special day. We did stations(not the only option). They help me with rentals and picking out items to match my boho style. Set up all tables, goblets, pretty much everything! Very professional with a lively spirit. Served the guest and pampered me! The food was delicious. We had a free tasting to make sure the items we picked were to our liking and so much more!

I hired Tate catering for my recent wedding and was so happy I did! They did an amazing job from the first day we contacted them about working together to the actual wedding day. The team at Tate catering was so attentive and responsive to any questions or concerns my family had. Holly Tate Fine Catering made our wedding a huge success, their staff is amazing! Their food is delicious. All our guests enjoyed everything. People mentioned that the crab cakes were the best they had ever tasted and their champagne chicken was delicious! We had many compliments from guests. Heather and their entire team were incredible! Not only did they provide excellent dining and bartending service, but they went out of their way to assist our family and our guests in every way possible! All the guests were raving about them. The staff took time to play with some of the children during the reception and even helped me get a stain out of my dress before the ceremony with soda water and a car air conditioner! The owners are very accommodating and go out of their way to provide amazing service! I cannot say enough to thank them for all that they did in making this such an incredible day! I highly recommend Holly Tate Fine Catering and plan on working with them again in the future!

Holly Tate Fine Catering was an excellent vendor. They were super organized and professional. Our manager, Heather was always available and helpful. They were one of the few vendors I was never worried about and fully trusted to get it right. We did a brunch style reception and everyone talked about how unique and great the food was!

John was great to work with throughout the entire process! We got to meet them at their bar in Winston-Salem and try our signature drinks then headed to their catering location to have a menu trial. The food was great, the chef (Ben) was great to talk to and loved to cook, it’s great to see a chef that’s proud of their work. On the day of the wedding the entire staff was polite and attentive, the coordinator was lovely and very helpful. Guests told us the food was “actually really good”, as if they expected to not have good food! I couldn’t recommend he Holly Tate team more for your wedding.

This catering company’s service is absolutely IMPECCABLE!! I felt like every five minutes I had a cheerful server asking if there was anything myself or my husband needed. The communication from the start by John and Heather were so thorough and on point. Good food for a very reasonable price as well!!

From the Bride & Groom: the food was delicious! It was still delicious eaten as leftovers the next day after a long day of travel home (which the staff were kind enough to pack us up). Guests raved about the food as well: picky and non-picky eaters alike, even the vegetarian/vegan/gluten-free guests!

The Tates are simply the best! When my husband and I started planning our wedding, one of the first things we knew about our big day is that we wanted the food to be really good. I'm vegetarian, and I was tired of going to weddings where good veggie food was an afterthought - I was one soggy portabello mushroom away from simply eating before I even arrived at the reception. I'm so glad we found Holly, because she not only prioritized a veggie menu but totally knocked it out of the park. People are still texting me, several weeks after the wedding, telling me how it was the best wedding food they'd ever had. They worked with us to help find our vision of the food, which included several stations with different themes. We made very few changes from the initial proposal menu they sent over - they were great at considering many pallettes and preferences. And they truly knocked it out of the park. The Tates and their team were supportive of us at every turn. I never felt pressured to pick something - they listened and delivered. We ended up going with two signature cocktails for our cocktail hour, and John and his team offered an incredible selection to choose from. Their team was amazing as well - totally professional and provided great service on the day. While I'm glad the craziness of wedding planning is over, I will genuinely miss working with Holly and John. They're simply the best.

They were great to us! We were scheduled to be married April 2020, and Holly and John worked with us for 2 and a half years so our families would be safe and able to attend! Both of our families are still talking about the food and most say it is the best wedding food they have had! Would recommend to everyone!

They turn the whole process into an experience, it was a BLAST - designing your own cocktails and creating a unique and customized menu for our wedding reception. They can do or make just about anything and prioritize making your event something to remember. The whole team is kind, fun, highly-talented at what they do. Not only great people, HIGH QUALITY food, fresh ingredients and locally sourced. People still rave about the cocktails and food from our wedding reception. We cannot even put into words how grateful we are for Holly Tate Fine Catering -- we've gotten endless compliments on the food/drinks and based on what we tried (which was almost everything), it sincerely was the best wedding food we've ever had! We're properly spoiled now and have unreasonable high standards for all future weddings we go to :) Every step of the way, John and Holly were understanding and flexible. Throughout the stress of rescheduling, guest count changes, last min requests, Holly and John were our heroes. It’s also worth nothing that one of my bridesmaids has severe allergies to quite a few non-standard foods (olive oil, corn starch, baking soda, corn syrup, artificial sweeteners, and more!). On the night of the wedding, she received a plate of all the food she could eat and I'm not exaggerating when I say she had tears of happiness in her eyes as she recounted this to me the next day. She never gets to eat at events beyond just a few raw fruit and vegetables or undressed salads. It meant the world to me to know that she was being taken care of that night and hearing how happy she was the next day is something I'll never forget. Our wedding day was truly the best day of our lives and we are forever grateful for HTFC for helping make it possible!

Right from the start, Holly and John were so easy to communicate with, very responsive. They have an extensive menu and everything we tried was delicious. I highly recommend the bourbon glazed salmon and our guests are still talking about the banana pudding. As important as delicious food, is the staff that serves it. My daughter and son-in-law (bride and groom) felt so taken care of. It's all such a whirlwind, but the lead staff made sure they had food and drink and regularly checked in to make sure they had everything they needed. Many guests commented on how wonderful the servers were. I am so thankful that we chose Holly Tate Fine Catering as they were a critical part of our all around amazing event.

My husband and I were so very fortunate to have Holly Tate catering company for our wedding celebration. We were supposed to get married in 2020 and had to push our wedding to 2021. Holly and John were wonderful and worked with us every step of the way. They are extremely professional and organized and it was so wonderful to know that we were in excellent hands. Chef Ben's food is delicious! I worked professionally as a chef and was looking for good quality food for our wedding and we found it! All of the staff is extremely kind, and warm. Charlotte was our front of house manager and she was amazing! We were so well taken care of and we did not have to ask for a thing! All of our guests raved about the food and told us that the staff was so friendly! If I could give more than 5 stars I would! I highly recommend this catering company and my husband and I are truly grateful to them for helping make our day so wonderful!

Holly Tate catered our August wedding, and we received so many compliments on the food and service! We just loved working with Holly and John. We really wanted the food and drinks at our wedding to be spectacular (which they were). Holly and John were also very flexible and wonderful to work with - we planned our entire wedding from out-of-state, and Holly and John worked with us to plan our tasting meal during a time when we were in NC visiting family... not to mention they were super wonderful about a date change from March to August due to the pandemic and large number of guests traveling from out-of-state. We cannot praise their professionalism, creativity, and kindness enough - not to mention their delicious food and wonderful staff who worked at our wedding.

I approached Holly Tate when my first caterer backed out of our event unexpectedly, and I am so glad that happened. What a joy to work with Holly and John! I wanted to spend the most planning time and budget on the food for my wedding, and Holly made my dream for a Southern Comfort Feast a reality. I cannot say enough positive things about our experience with Holly Tate Catering. Holly and John were so professional and accommodating. My daughter's wedding was rescheduled several times during the "year of Covid". Holly helped us revise the menu when we switched from July to November. She met us at two different venues to help us design the layout. She and her staff were so attentive to every question and request. And the food!!! Several guests told me it was the best food they had ever eaten. Chef Ben is a magician in the kitchen. Every appetizer was hot, every salad cold and crisp, every meat and vegetable served to perfection and the desserts...incredible! After meeting with Holly and John at the menu tasting, we knew we had made the absolute best choice in caterers. I always felt confident that the food and service would be top notch and they did not disappoint.

We can not say enough nice things about John and Holly Tate. They went above and beyond to make our day so very special. We have received phone calls and texts from lots of our guests complimenting the attentive servers and delicious food, many people said it’s the BEST food they’ve ever had at a wedding! They were very easy to work and they were very accommodating when we had to switch our date due to Covid-19, and did it without hesitation. The tasting several months out was very helpful, and allowed us to plan slight changes that they noted during the tasting, and allowed us to make changes up until just a few weeks before the wedding. Due to Covid-19, we had head count changes even the week of! John and Holly graciously allowed us to make changes and could not have been more professional and polite. Their servers day of, waited on us hand and foot, it was an experience unlike any other. Their menu is very expansive and it is sure to compliment anyone’s wants or needs!

We came to Holly Tate with a little over 2 weeks to go before our last minute, mid-COVID19 downsized wedding. To say we were stressed was an understatement. From the start, Holly and John put us at ease with how knowledgable, flexible, and kind they were. The food, specialty drinks, and service at our reception were flawless. Our guests all commented on how delicious everything was and how gracious and professional the servers were. To top it all off, Holly Tate offered amazing food and service at one of the best prices we found while planning the multiple iterations of our wedding. We really can't recommend them highly enough.

Where do I begin? Holly, John, and team are all absolutely amazing individuals! My hopes were to partner with a catering team who would have fun while being professional at our wedding celebration. John and Holly exceeded our expectations! We knew we wanted to have unforgettable food at our wedding and they did just that! All of our guests were complimenting the food throughout the night. Everything ran so smoothly with them from start to finish. Their servers and bartenders were so friendly, which made the night that much better. Our wedding wouldn’t have been as successful as it was without them. We made the best decision to have them as our caterer!

Honest, clear, flexible, experienced, easy. And Delicious! Oh, those Korean bbq short ribs!! We began to work with John and Holly about 3 or 4 months out from our daughters wedding. They walked us through the process, pricing, options and oh yes, the tastings. In particular, if you are serving alcohol, I do not think there is a better choice than John's group. They are professional precise, and watchful of our guests-so we could enjoy the reception without concern. We never had to worry about dishes, silverware, barware...they took card of everything. We were asked if there were any particular cultural foods we wanted with the appetizers and they were able to acommodate those as well. All leftover food was nicely wrapped so we could freeze it once we got home. The prices were fair, and we felt that if we had a second daughter we'd use them again.

Holly, John and their staff were so easy, friendly and professional to work with. In preparation for the event, they visited the venue so they knew what the layout and facilities would be like for them. They helped me with wine choices, and helped me understand how much to order, as I had no idea how to plan for this. The food was exceptional! Everything was elegantly presented, fresh, and tasted superb. The serving staff were all very friendly, and accommodating, and our guests commented on this often throughout the evening. I highly recommend them!

We used Holly Tate catering for my daughters wedding. We wanted an intimate feel and presentation was very important to us. The displays were absolutely gorgeous. The food was delicious, with lots of attention to detail. Everyone I have talked to commented on the food and the beautiful way it was displayed. Also we wanted a non traditional dessert for the wedding and they were able to accommodate us. They made individual mini cobblers in three flavors!! They were both cute and amazingly delicious! Lastly, the staff that attended the wedding was extremely friendly and professional. They were unobtrusive and quietly went about their work. At the end of the night when I looked around, everything was cleaned up and I honestly never saw them cleaning! Or carrying things out! You will not be disappointed if you choose Holly Tate for your event! I highly recommend them!!

John and Holly were incredible to work with. They were easy to talk to, creative, flexible, and fun. We knew from our very first phone conversation with John that we wanted them to cater our wedding - they brought excitement and so many fun ideas to the table right off the bat. Over the course of our engagement, they were quick to respond to emails and easily made adjustments when we needed to change our layout and parts of our menu. Because they own a cocktail bar in Winston-Salem, we were also able to stop in there for a signature drink tasting, which was a fun adventure during planning! And on the day-of, they truly delivered, with guests repeatedly telling us how delicious the food was. Their staff was also absolutely incredible and helped everything go off without a hitch. We adored working with John and Holly and would not hesitate to use them again if we needed a caterer for an event!

As soon as we started working with the Tates, I knew everything was going to be done to perfection. They helped guide my daughter and her fiance to make decisions that would be right for them. They knew exactly what was needed for rentals and were respectful of our budget. At the reception, John met with each individual with a food allergy or preference to make sure they were aware of their choices and ingredients. They were extremely professional with every aspect of the planning, working, and detail to the final clean-up.

The food is to die for, and you can tell just by the initial phone conversation that Holly and her husband John know what they're doing! The service at our wedding was impeccable. The staff were attentive to me and my husband's well-being throughout the night. One thing to note is that we booked them in July and were interested in doing a tasting, but they had no availability until January. With our wedding in February, this made little sense since we wouldn't have had time to switch caterers if we didn't like the food. We had confidence, though, based on the reviews, that the food would not disappoint. Book well in advance, and expect a wait for the tasting. Also, be prepared to pay for the tasting, as opposed to other vendors who may provide a complimentary tasting prior to the deposit being paid. Holly also allowed us to purchase the alcohol ourselves and they served it for us! This saved us money, and they even provided recommendations based on our total guest count. Overall, I would definitely recommend Holly Tate!

This is the second wedding reception Holly has done for us. I ran country clubs for over 35 years and know the food and beverage business. Her food and presentation was outstanding. She is so easy to work with and her staff was amazing. I would not hesitate to recommend Holly Tate for your event. I hope I get the chance to work with her again.

Holly made the entire process so easy. She was a joy to work with. Both she and John gave great advise on food choices and amount of beer and wine needed. The table settings were beautiful and food was absolutely delicious. I still have people talking about how good the food was. The servers were friendly and professional. It was the perfect night!!

Holly Tate is the epitome of a boss lady. She runs her company so seamlessly and is incredibly professional. We were blown away by the food and our guests were so impressed. We had stations and an open bar for about 65 guests and everything was seamless. I really love that Holly gives you the option to provide your own alcohol, while they provide mixers and bartenders. Her staff was also professional and pleasant - they brought food and cocktails to my husband and I first, which made me feel like a royal and was so sweet. Writing this review is making my mouth water just thinking about the sweet potato ham biscuits - you have to try them!

I cannot say enough good things about Holly Tate Catering after they catered a beautiful and delicious buffet meal for our wedding. Holly and John were professional, responsive (always within 24 hours), and helpful from start to finish. Holly came to help us pick all our rentals and helped us get the best price. The tasting we had was wonderful and Holly promised the food would taste exactly the same on the day of, and it did! We had one guest tell us she was sad she would probably never get to eat their chicken again. :) I am thrilled they were able to cater our wedding and would certainly recommend hiring them for any event.

Holly Tate Catering is amazing!! I was more than pleased with the service and quality of food we received at my wedding. Our guests were raving about how great the food was. Holly and John were such a pleasure to work with and were so accommodating. When first interviewing with them, we were concerned about pricing and John went above and beyond to adjust the menu so that it reflected our budget. We were able to get phenomenal food without spending a fortune. One of the most important aspect of the wedding reception is the food and every guest I have spoke to since our wedding has told me how amazing our food was. Even my photographer reached out to me after the wedding to tell me how much she enjoyed the food! Holly and John were an absolute pleasure to work with from beginning to end -- we both felt like they truly cared about our wedding like it was their own. They are responsive and engaged, offering suggestions for what has worked well in their opinion but never pushing their ideas or driving up the cost of the event. They went above and beyond in helping us determine how much alcohol to buy for the event, even though they were only serving, and not purchasing, the booze. The food tasted great and was presented artfully -- guests raved about the sweet potato ham biscuits in particular. I would fully recommend Holly Tate; you won't be disappointed!
