We picked this vendor because they were the most cost efficient but DJ (Gary) Dixon absolutely murdered the dance floor. I have never heard a better DJ. If you want to dance and party hard go with DJ Dixon.

Cant say enough good things about grant! He made everything feel smooth. He is fun, professional, and made our wedding reception exactly what I envisioned.

DJ Dixon was amazing at our vow renewal this summer! He was so professional and kind. We would 100% recommend him and Horizon Entertainment. He always made sure my husband I were taken care of and everyone was having fun. We were provided an app beforehand to add a timeline and songs to, which was really helpful. We also had two conversations with Dixon leading up to the big day to confirm all details. He also went above and beyond by letting the two of us mix a song or two at his table, and joined us out on the dance floor! Dixon brought the energy and was a big part of ensuring we had a great, memorable event!!

Our DJ was Bob, and he was absolutely amazing! He was so nice and made sure everything ran smoothly! He truly cared and made sure that my husband and I had all that we needed, coming up to us during the evening to check in. These little things made the biggest difference on our wedding day. I can't thank Bob enough for all he did to make this day amazing. I highly recommend Horizon Entertainment and know you would love them as much as my husband and I did!

Grant was amazing! He meet with us before the wedding and was able to get to know us and our vision a little bit before the big day. He gave us ideas to think about and no judgement to anything we wanted. We only gave a couple songs for the reception and told him to just get the vibe on what works and what doesn't. Let me tell you, our dance floor was FULL all night and I was swore the next day from dancing so much. He was a great addition to our day!

Brandon was the life of the party! He truly made our wedding everything we wanted it to be and more! Horizon was easy to work with and we’d recommend in a heartbeat.

Horizon hooked us up with DJ Dixon, and we had the time of our lives! Very friendly, very professional, communicated clearly with us and the speakers at our reception, and most importantly really got the party going! He did little extra things, like for example he offered to let me try and mix a track. I like the idea but didn't want to do it and he relented without much more pressure. So he definitely helped us elevate our night while still listening and letting us do it as we wanted 5/5 would recommend to anyone.

Horizon was a great pick for a DJ. They were very affordable compared to other companies, and provided exactly what we wanted. Grant was great, we forgot to add a small section of our reception in the plan, and he was able to incorporate everything on the fly. Highly recommend!

Grant was amazing! He helped ease our anxieties at both pre wedding planning meetings. He reviewed our playlists with a keen eye and continued to play to our vibe throughout the entire night. He handled our crazy guests requesting songs left and right so well. Many of our guests said it was the most fun wedding they have been to, which was largely in part to the music. Would recommend HE, especially Grant, to anyone!

Brandon was our dj for the night and he absolutely KILLED IT! We sent him a playlist of songs during our meeting, gave him some ideas, and he ran with it! The dancefloor was full all night and the vibes were amazing! Everyone loved him and he brought fantastic energy! Cannot recommend him enough!!

We had the pleasure of working with Grant which was fantastic! He let us pretty much lay out our entire playlist and then added in some really fun songs that kept everybody out on the dance floor! We can't thank him enough!

We used Horizon Entertainment for our 4/29/23 wedding. We had DJ Dixon and he was INCREDIBLE! He was punctual, had outstanding communication and best of all, he knew how to keep the crowd engaged during the reception. We used them for our ceremony and reception, and highly recommend them!

We had DJ Gary and he did a great job working with us to customize our playlist and rolling with the punches when we had some unexpected challenges on our day (no fault of the DJ or any other vendors). He was also kind and very responsive. Would definitely recommend

Grant was phenomenal! He had great recommendations to make our reception fun and engaging for all of our guests, and he made sure the mix of music would get everyone dancing. Everything from cocktail hour through the end of the evening flowed so smoothly. The lights included in the package are a great plus too - they really make a difference in the feeling of the dance floor. I would highly recommend using Horizon Entertainment for your wedding!

We had the best DJ! Dustin was awesome to work with and he had some really fun and amazing ideas that really helped achieve the atmosphere we wanted for our wedding. He was also able to rework the schedule last minute due to some changes the day of the wedding so that everything turned out beautiful.

Narnia, Tom, and the entire Horizon Entertainment team were very easy to work with throughout our planning process! They have an excellent online portal for choosing songs, and we had a planning meeting ahead of time to make sure we were all on the same page. Tom did an excellent job curating the playlist so that our guests were entertained throughout the entire night!

My husband and I worked with Rick for our wedding and he was amazing. We really appreciated how detailed he was in our meeting prior to our wedding and made the whole wedding day process very smooth. He was great with us, our bridal party, and all of our guests. We both would highly recommend working with Horizon Entertainment, we had no issues from booking to the wedding day!

Grant was our DJ and he was great to work with. He kept in touch leading up to the event and was very helpful with suggestions and questions. He helped make sure the timeline of the evening went smoothly and checked in multiple times to make sure we were happy and see if we had any requests throughout the evening. We loved the online portal where we could add our music choices online while we were planning. It made it so easy. I highly recommend working with Horizons as your DJ!

Horizon Entertainment was great to work with! Going into our wedding, we were unsure if we wanted to get a DJ, but I am so glad to have made the decision to work with Horizon. Narnia was great with pre-planning and answering all my questions! Our DJ, Dustin was absolutely fantastic!! He was super helpful with planning our reception songs and also a great DJ with helping to get the crowd up and moving. Dustin was just amazing with handling my last minute changes and helping me throughout the evening. I am so happy to have worked with Horizon!

We loved working with Grant! He was an amazing DJ and helped us make our wedding a blast. Grant had great insight and helped us plan the music throughout the entire ceremony and reception. We met before the wedding to go over details and he really helped us personalize our wedding and make it the wedding of our dreams. He really incorporated our non traditional wedding reception songs at the perfect times and even gave one of our guests a mic to sing to a song (at our request) .

We were married at Cincinnati Museum Center and we hired Horizon Entertainment to do our wedding. When we were vetting DJs for our event, we originally talked with the owner, Rick, about our event and he provided us with a great deal of confidence that his team would be perfect for our event. For the actual event, Noah, was our DJ. We got married in the Grand Rotunda of Cincinnati Museum Center, which is a large, domed room which can be a problem for sound projection and echo. We were aware of this before our event and in talking with Rick during the vetting process, he assured us that he did not see this as a concern and he would be able to handle any space like this with the equipment that his company has and would be able to direct the sound appropriately to eliminate any potential issues. We even discussed with Noah in the weeks before the wedding the fact that we were concerned with the potential for echo or poor sound quality and we wanted to make sure that he was prepared for the space, since it is definitely not the same as a basic reception hall. Noah did not seem overly concerned, but he didn't project much confidence either. On the day of our event, we found that it was virtually impossible to hear people speaking during speeches, or any announcements from the DJ, unless they were seated directly in-line with his speakers. We didn't realize this, however, until it was too late. Probably only about half of our guests were able to hear the toasts from the best man and maid of honor, or anything else that was said over the microphone after the ceremony. Additionally, we created a list of "Must Play" (probably about 8 songs) and "Do Not Play" songs through Horizon's website, but we found as the night was winding down that a bunch of our must play songs had never been played. We went up to Noah and specifically asked to play a handful of these songs, which he did, but it was disappointing that we had to go up and request them after putting them in the "Must Play" list ahead of the wedding. We were a little disappointed overall with Horizon for our wedding. We stressed on numerous occasions, almost to the point that I felt like I was being overbearing, about our concerns for the sound quality in the room we were in. We received plenty of assurances that there wouldn't be a problem, but at the end of the day, it was a problem still. Taking away the unique design of the room and the fact that it would be more difficult to project sound effectively in the space, it was disappointing to have to go up and request songs to be played that were added to a "Must Play" list. There are plenty of glowing reviews of Horizon online, which is part of the reason why we chose them, so maybe we just got unlucky and you'll have a better experience with a different DJ from their team, or in a different venue, but we left a little bummed out with how things went.

Rick was the best DJ we could have asked for. He worked with us very well in organizing what we needed due to all the restrictions. He was incredibly considerate of what we wanted and gave us exactly what we wanted.

What a great night with Rick! He adapted very well to our crowd and a couple of odd requests. We had such a blast and he was a huge asset to such a memorable night. I would recommend him for any wedding or event!

I'm a Cincinnati wedding coordinator and I had the pleasure of working with Rick at a wedding this past weekend on 10/17/20. Not only was he very professional and helpful, he was extremely organized which helped to keep everything on track. Rick provided mic services for the ceremony and was the DJ for the reception as well. As a vendor myself, I appreciated his attention to detail and passion to help the bride and groom have the wedding of their dreams.

What a wonderful time we had with Horizon Entertainment at our niece‘s wedding! Rick was our DJ for the evening. He was very attentive and professional with the evening events! Great song choices, fabulous lighting for dance floor! I HIGHLY recommend!

Horizon Entertainment was absolutely amazing to work with during hectic wedding planning and a global pandemic. Rick was the utmost professional who made everything flow smoothly from the start of the planning process to the very last dance. Choosing music off of Horizon’s website was fun. It was easy to create our request list and the special details of our day when it was convenient for us. From the moment Rick met us at the reception door, I was able to relax and enjoy our guests. Rick had food ready for us upon arrival, carried my plate, and kept the day moving smoothly. I am sure a million questions came up, but he handled them all and I was able to fully enjoy our big day. Even with COVID regulations, Rick came up with fun and innovative ways to keep our guests in the spirit. We had a Battle of the College Fight Songs instead of a dollar dance and raised $350 for charity. Brian and I truly felt taken care of and had a worry free reception with Rick in charge.

Rick was amazing from before the wedding all the way through the reception. Really took control of things with the photographer and everyone involved to make sure it was perfect. He even offered to wrangle my bride who was working the room while I ate. Made sure our drinks were full and we had everything we needed. Really took a lot of our plate and helped make the day perfect.

We can't thank Rick enough for everything he did for our wedding, from answering constant questions, to helping us with the timeline, to just being a great DJ and person on our wedding day. Rick asked us what type of music we wanted and we were lost, but he guided us along the way, and he delivered a great up-beat party that kept the dance floor as full as it could be during a pandemic. He was very open about where he would set up and still did an amazing job while be stuck behind the bar due to spacing limitations. He even helped in ways we never expected a DJ to help, from making sure everything was moving well to simply making sure our glasses were always full and even carrying Kelsey's food to the table so she didn't accidentally get anything on herself. We couldn't have picked a better DJ or person for our day. Rick is awesome and I couldn't recommend him enough.

We were so thankful for how Dustin helped us plan, execute and most importantly ENJOY the reception. All our guests repeated how great he was at keeping the flow of the event on track and getting everyone out on the dance floor to have FUN! Looking back now, selecting Horizon Entertainment turned out to be one of our favorite wedding planning choices. I highly recommend them!

Rick was an outstanding mc/ dj for my daughter’s wedding!!!! He was extremely courteous but kept the process moving and, speaking of moving, I’ve never been to a reception that had so many happy people on the dance floor! From start to finish Rick was on top of the event and helped make our family’s special night spectacular!

Rick was absolutely hands down one of the best parts of our wedding day on October 12th. From the moment we met him, my husband, Will, and I knew that we needed him to DJ our wedding. Rick was so professional and very responsive throughout the whole wedding planning process. At our finalization meeting, he asked all the right questions and made sure everything was covered so that he could help to bring our vision to life. The day of the wedding, he was amazing. He checked in on me, my husband, and our bridal party and made sure that we were having the best time. Rick at Horizon Entertainment was absolutely amazing. He was extremely nice, informative and helpful throughout the whole planning process. He did everything he said he would do and more! We never felt like we had a need for anything because he was right there to assist with things from helping the wedding planner to refilling our glasses without us even having to ask and everything in between. He really wanted us to feel like it was our day and he did everything in his power to make that a reality. Even saving the day to fix the bistro lights in the tent! We would recommend his services to anyone who asks!

Rick Pate is an excellent choice for music at an event. I've been to events where he has chosen the music and ones where a couple has chosen the music. He has a great personality so he makes the event serious and/or fun. I love his personality and enthusiasm. He will be out there if that is needed or behind the scenes. He's a great choice and I've enjoyed listening to him and his music.
