Easy mistakes were made with no acknowledgment, and she was not very kind to some of the bridesmaids. I would not recommend.

She was always available to answer our questions, she handled all of our vendors like a champ, she honestly exceeded all expectations from day one. My now husband and I dreaded most vendor meetings, but thoroughly enjoyed when we met with Megan. She has the calm energy that I needed in a coordinator, the world could be on fire and she would help you feel at ease. I was never once concerned in her ability to help the day go off without a hitch. She truly cared about making sure everyone felt safe during our COVID wedding. And don't even get me started on her team that she had with her on the day of! They made sure we were well taken care of all night long from drink refills, to fluffing my dress between shots, to tag-teaming the bustle of my dress, to ensuring our live stream was running properly, to just overall making our day as perfect as it was. If anything went wrong on the day of my wedding, I know nothing about it - whether that's because Megan made sure nothing went wrong, or because she handled it behind the scenes like a boss. wn with the two of them, we knew they would be perfect for our wedding vision. One of the easiest decisions we made throughout our entire event planning process was choosing Hosea House Collective. After signing the contract, I met with Mal monthly. Jefferson and I had chosen a few of our major vendors before working with Mal and Megan, including the venue (which was also the caterer), the photographer, and the band. However, we had dropped the ball on the remaining vendors. Mal came to our rescue. Her attention to detail and assistance with finding vendors was amazing. A mantra of Jefferson and I centered on, “This is our first, and only, wedding. So we have no idea what we are doing!” Mal made sure we had all the items we needed. About two months into our planning, Mal and Megan also became our rehearsal dinner planners. Our wedding was not just one event, it became a five-event-weekend-wedding. Mal and Megan were there for everything. Without Hosea House Collective, our weekend of events would not have gone as seamlessly as they did.

For 18 months, she endured my endless texts, budget and financing debacles, tears, questions, concerns, much more laughter and numerous, numerous last-minute decisions. She made it her responsibility to make sure everything was exactly what I wanted and could afford, even if that meant being the one to confront vendors, which you'll come to realize as a bride is extremely hard to do yourself, especially if you're not one to give constructive criticism. My family's financial situation changed abruptly causing them to not be able to afford their cut of the budget and I thought my dream wedding would no longer be attainable. But whenever I hesitated, Megan always said "Oh, sweetheart, it'll be a ball!" And that -- it was! It's one thing to have a bunch of Pinterest boards, sneak peeks, tastings and trials from vendors, but to see how they made it all come together was astonishing -- even on the ridiculous budget we were on. Megan's calligraphy service included in our package came in extremely handy. She designed our ceremony program, hand-lettered all our reception details such as vinyl record table numbers, mirror escort sign, gorgeous fresh magnolia leaf escort cards, bar and menu signage, souvenir and hangover kit labels, and so much more. We saved so much money going DIY instead of buying thanks to her skills -- plus, there's something about fresh hand-lettering that's so unique and special. I'm still getting texts and comments from guests two weeks later about how beautiful, original and fun our wedding was. BONUS: Megan and Mallory won't just be your planners, they'll be your friends throughout and after it all! I didn't even have a Pinterest until about 3 months after I got engaged… I wanted a beautiful day but also knew I could have an amazing day without spending a million dollars so when I started planning I knew there would have to be areas I would have to compromise on to save money. I was the kind of bride that said "I can't afford a top-notch DJ…so I'll make playlists myself. This is all to say, that my very, very very very naïve self initially thought I could plan a wedding without a planner/day of coordinator. Looking back it is hilarious that I ever thought I could compromise on such a vital role on my big day. Mallory was literally an answer to prayer. She was involved, but not over-bearing, aggressive on our behalf, organized, knowledgeable, one of the kindest people you will ever meet, and serves with a genuine heart. There were items that I had strong opinions about that Mallory took head-on and delivered exactly what I wanted and other times that I had no idea and I needed Mallory to step up and either lay out some options for me or make an informed decision for me. Regardless, I had complete ease of mind knowing that if Mallory was involved with it…it was taken care of and I didn't need to worry about it. I can't think of a more important quality in a wedding planner. Mallory never made me feel like burden and made sure I knew that I could always reach out to her, about anything. My wedding weekend was absolutely incredible. She handled everything with such grace and peace. Megan did a lot of gorgeous artistry work for us (a huge chalk board wall & a stunning seating chart). The two of them together, were angels on my wedding day. If I needed them, they were there. Seriously…I didn't even need to call for them or try to find them, they were just always there checking in with me. My big day went off without a hitch and I know that was only made possible by their hard-work and dedication on the wedding day and prior to. Everything went according as planned and my only job was to soak it in and enjoy it. I feel like most people say it…but my wedding day was perfect and I simply cannot thank Mallory and Megan enough.
