Can't say enough about how easy it was to work with them. They have a team of humans and not robots, who actually care about your event. Even with the exit of Katie Nelson, who was the event manager, two weeks before the wedding everything went extremely well thanks to the efforts and great patience of Marty Loner, who helped make our wedding fantastic!
I would highly recommend the venue: amazing views, fantastic food and the best people!
I knew from the day I saw this venue that it was for me. The views from terrace are the most beautiful. The venue is intimate and perfect for my 75 person wedding. But more importantly, the venue staff was amazing! I cannot thank Katie Nelson enough for all her help in making my wedding the night of my dreams! She was on top of it and made sure everything ran smoothly. She stopped by for my rehearsal and was there on wedding night. From the first time we spoke until wedding day she was extremely accommodating. I would HIGHLY recommend this venue for anyone with a smaller size wedding. I couldn't imagine having it anywhere else. Marty, with rooms, constantly kept me in the loop on my room block and was very accommodating to my special requests. Thank you!! Thank you!! Thank you!!
From start to finish, Katie, Frank, and their entire team were so accommodating and helpful. I never had to worry about one thing. The entire weekend was a dream! From walking in and smelling the classic green tea aroma, to watching the sunset over beautiful coconut grove, I couldn’t have asked for a better venue!
Ceremony:
An outdoor balcony/terrace area overlooking the marina. It gets a bit windy but that didn’t detract from the moment! Just a little hard for the guests to hear!
Reception:
Stunning! The food (we chose salmon, chicken and vegetarian) was probably the best food I’ve had, not just at weddings! Wish I had a chance to eat more! Our guests could not stop gushing about how amazing the food was!
Sunday Brunch:
The bay room served our purposes perfectly! Guests were able to drop by and wish us well!

We cannot say enough good things about this venue. They were all phenomenal. Truly treated us like royalty. The staff never missed a beat on having everything ready. They were all amazing . I could not Thank Katie and Frank enough for all they did and I would DEFINITELY recommend this venue for your wedding day. It would be unforgettable.
The venue was gorgeous and their catering sales manager, Katie Nelson, was phenomenal to work with.
We held our ceremony & reception at the Sonesta and it was perfect. I couldn't be happier with how it all turned out. My ceremony was outside on the terrace, which was beautiful. And my cocktail hour and reception were both inside (different rooms) and the rooms looked amazing. The service was great& the food was delicious (many of my guests were still telling me days after the wedding how good the food was). And Katie, my main contact person at the Sonesta, was extremely accommodating & helpful & friendly. I highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for the perfect outdoor ceremony with a small, intimate indoor reception.
I'm in the process of planning my wedding with the Catering coordinator, Katie. She is heaven sent and seriously, I couldn't do it without her. I've met with her on many occasions and she is very accommodating in regards to scheduling an appointment. Rosie is their new room block coordinator and she has been awesome! My block is almost full and she's been available to answer all my questions. I have loved my experience so far!! (:
***DO NOT BOOK WEDDING BLOCK WITH THIS HOTEL*** I tried for months to communicate with the sales department to book a block for my wedding and it was the most frustrating and timely experience I’ve ever dealt with. No return calls or emails, having to go up the chain of command and even that didn’t help. Once I did get to booking the block, they sent me the wrong link! And they did the same thing to a friend of mine who ultimately ended up canceling their block as well! They took NO responsibility for anything they did wrong. I tried for 3 days to contact SIX DIFFERENT PEOPLE to cancel my block, including the general manager. Once I did get in touch with someone, they said they had already canceled everything and what else did I want from them! Nobody even contacted me to tell me they received my calls and emails! HANDS DOWN THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL SALES DEPARTMENT EVER. I am the not the type who complains but this experience warrants a warning.
This location was so convenient, as it is within walking distance to numerous restaurants, shopping areas, Starbucks, etc.
The hotel itself is beautiful. The value was also great, as if you stayed 3 nights you got 30% and they did upgrade us since we were the bride & groom.
They weren't great about locating everyone in a group together, we were spaced out over several floors, which seemed unnecessary, especially since we had reservations for a year in advance.
The restaurant was good, but the service was hit & miss. Some days it was perfect, others you could barely get someone's attention, and others they wouldn't just let you be.
The front desk needs a lesson in customer service. The keys always had issues & they were beyond rude at times. More so the night staff vs. the day staff. The day staff was always helpful.
We cannot explain how wonderful this wedding was! The venue, food, service, personnel were amazing! Our wedding coordinator Nicole Frankel was not only a coordinator, she became a friend! She was there for us before the wedding and the whole day of the wedding! The Food was fabulous and the staff was incredible! If you are looking for a wonderful, memorable wedding,,,,this is the place!!!!!
What a great experience I had with the Hotel, they were very efficient, professional, and every one of my guest commented on how absolutely wonderful the food was.
I worked with Francy Silva, Social Catering Sales Manager for the hotel, she was great - no need for a wedding planner. We met several times to discuss the details of the wedding. She took care of everything! Contacted all vendors and made sure everything went smoothly.
The venue is perfect for a wedding. They only allow one event at a time, so you get pretty much the entire 8th floor (except for the restaurant and pool area). There is plenty of outdoor and indoor space for ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and backup space, all on the same floor.
I couldn't have been happier anywhere else!
