so detailed throughout the entire process. From the beginning until the morning after, she remembered every single minor detail. It was so nice. The chef and pastry chef were phenomenal, my only wish was that we had leftovers the next day, LOL. The hotel even brought our signature drink and cupcakes to our suite the night of the wedding to make sure we got a taste. Everything was an 11/10. I would highly recommend HC for any event. Allison was incredible to work with and helped us so much during our planning process, as well as the day of - we couldn’t have done it without her. The food was hands down the best food I have ever had at a wedding (and I am not just saying that because it was my own). People kept raving about how amazing everything tasted. From the passed hors d’oeuvres to the sit down dinner and the cupcakes - everything was a hit! People still talk about how much they loved the Hotel Commonwealth, how nice everyone was that worked our wedding, and how incredible the food tasted. I honestly cannot recommend the Hotel Commonwealth enough. Everything was outstanding and our guests not only had the best time at our wedding, but also loved their stays! 12/10!

Every single detail – from the space, food, drinks, accommodations, and customer experience – was incredibly well executed. We hosted our reception in the Fenway wing, which includes foyers with large floor-to-floor windows, an outdoor terrace with sweeping views of Fenway Park, and ballroom that can accommodate up to 250 guests for dinner. The space allowed everyone to easily mingle indoors and outdoors throughout the evening, and offers a cool contemporary vibe. Our guests also loved the accommodations and walkability to Boston attractions. The food was incredible. We opted for interactive stations – including an Asian station, Mediterranean bar, carving station with chef attendant – which provided a wide variety of flavors and ensured that everyone’s dietary preferences were met. Brunch the following day exceeded our expectations as well. The chefs are talented and accommodating, and everyone commented on how delicious the food was! Finally, the Hotel Commonwealth event staff (shoutout to Allison) were warm, diligent, and provided exceptional attention to detail. They seamlessly coordinated logistics with our vendors, and we never felt stressed when planning our event. The staff also got to know us, made sure the event perfectly fit our needs, and were very easy going throughout the process. Our wedding weekend exceeded our expectations, and words can't express our gratitude.

e that you can do a lot with depending on your wedding theme. Comes complete with an awesome outdoor balcony that was perfect for our summer event! But the best part? The FOOD! Our guests were raving about the food weeks after the event. It doesn't even come close to "event" food. If you can splurge, we HIGHLY recommend the raw bar (not only beautiful to look at but also a huge hit with the guests). The hotel itself is really nice, and the staff was very accommodating to our guests. All-in-all, Hotel Commonwealth was the perfect choice for our wedding, we are very grateful for all they did for us pre and post-wedding. :)

big sports fan to book this venue, even better than the look/views is the AMAZING food! Our guests continue to tell us how good their meals were and how beautiful they thought the hotel was. Most of them even stayed at the hotel, so we definitely recommend doing a room block! The team of coordinators and other staff, especially Cherie, Allison and Justin, were professional and attentive throughout the process. Day of coordination was completely handled and we did not need to worry about a single thing as Allison took care of it with our vendors. As if that was not enough, it was all the little details that sealed the deal, they account for everything. You will not regret booking Hotel Commonwealth when you have their delicious desserts waiting for you in your room after your reception (definitely do the dessert bar with the PB and Fluff tart). We cant wait to visit on Anniversaries to come!!

g the pandemic, and the team at HC could not have been more accommodating even during such a stressful and worrisome time. I work in events myself, and I was constantly impressed by their professionalism and patience with all of our questions. They went the extra mile for us with all of our requests and made the wedding planning process easy. We worked with Susan, Andrea and Allison throughout the process and all three were wonderful to work with. Allison helped us the most in the home stretch and she was awesome - she kept me calm even during my moments of panic! The hotel itself is so beautiful (we had our room block here too, best decision), and of course the view of Fenway is iconic. Our guests were BLOWN AWAY by the hotel and the FOOD. Multiple people told us it was the best wedding food they had ever had. The house-made bucatini (our veggie option) was INCREDIBLE. We also made a special food request months in advance for one of our guests, and sure enough they didn't forget and made it happen at the wedding. The pricing for food & open bar was very fair based on our research of other Boston venues. They offer a bit of a discount for a Friday wedding. Another highlight is the outdoor patio. It was so nice for our guests to be able to get some fresh air during the reception. HC recently refurnished the patio and it's super comfortable and perfect for chit chatting. There was a Red Sox game so the lights at Fenway were on - so many great photo opps in front of the Green Monster. I could go on and on about how much we loved Hotel Commonwealth for our wedding! It was the perfect day at the perfect venue. Thank you to the incredible events team and staff!

utdoor roof space with views of Fenway Park was fantastic. Our guests all had an absolutely wonderful time. The food was delicious. Happy hour was great with servers EVERYWHERE passing the appetizers. The ceremony was at a local church. There was a private side entrance for the bridal party to exit and board our transportation out of view of our guests as guests were leaving from the front of the hotel. We also had a farewell brunch. They set the brunch room up with our ballroom chairs and centerpieces from the day before reception. Beautiful. Exceeded expectations. We had 165 guests attend and it was perfect. The space can also hold more easily. Allison Thomas was our Hotel Commonwealth wedding banquet director and she was just outstanding! Thank you to the staff. Perfect weekend wedding thanks to you. LETS GO RED SOX!

Emily was very responsive and was always available for another walk through to help us perfect all of our little details as well as made many welcome suggestions for vendors or decoration ideas. Our private tasting was lovely and they did not nickel and dime for an extra seat at the table. Through each course we got a thorough description of each plate, and were able to meet with the Chefs who would be cooking the day of our wedding at the end to discuss different options. The Chefs are very talented and were open to any culinary challenges thrown their way. Our guests are still raving about the food served that day! The space used for cocktail hour was gorgeous and was wrapped in floor to ceiling windows overlooking Fenway Park. It ended in an outside veranda which was a perfect spot for our guests to relax during our wedding in mid-June. The ballroom was spacious and the staff went to great lengths to accommodate our floor plan and decorations. Set-up was a breeze and everything came out just as we had pictured it. I also want to mention, Emily kept the night on track so there was plenty of time for dancing. The hotel was able to accommodate quite a few of our guests at a discounted rate, but be mindful that if there is an event being hosted at Fenway the prices will go up and availability will go down. Just a few weeks before our wedding a last minute concert was added at Fenway, and this greatly affected our room availability. The hotel was able to accommodate non-event rate parking after much back and forth, which we greatly appreciated, but it was one of the few negative experiences we had through this whole process. Overall, we had a very pleasant experience and would highly recommend the Hotel Commonwealth to anyone looking for the perfect Boston wedding!

After researching many venues and feeling as if we were...just another wedding ho hum, we stumbled upon this vibrant, chic, sophisticated and (beautifully, newly renovated hotel, what a bonus!). We were blown away by how this property was hands down going to be the best wedding venue in Boston. Everywhere else seemed so cookie cutter or had an old world vibe...and by that I mean old drapes in tired rooms. The Hotel Commonwealth is Boston at its best! Just search images of The Hotel Commonwealth! It's posh, hip and classic at the same time. The block that it sits on has fabulous restaurants and bars so that you don't have to leave this location for ANYTHING! Cheri who heads up the team has the most wonderful, calming, professional and accommodating attitude and she offers the most incredible service, advice and suggestions. I can’t imagine trusting and hosting the most important people in our lives to anyone else. Cheri, helped us hire Jimmy Guzman as our event planner and he helped with flowers (he’s a genius with flowers) stunning table setting decorations and any extra rentals we needed. He also acted as our “day of” wedding planner. He’s off the charts talented and simply a joy to work with. Emily impeccably organized every detail right down to a personal touch on our dinner menu (FYI, the hotel prints them and that's included, not extra). From the minute we arrived Emily was at our beck and call and she anticipated various details that we never even thought of. She is spot on with everything you need and has a meticulous eye for detail. Cheri, Emily Victoria, Charles and Justin even offered our wedding party champagne for our rehearsal that we held in a private room at the hotel. As well as, treats in our rooms and bottles of complimentary wine. This team works totally seamlessly together. When our guests arrived A.J. and Nick graciously greeted everyone and offered early check ins when possible. There wasn’t an end to the amount of help and service they could provide. The ceremony (that was held on the second floor) was exquisite; especially with all the glass windows which provided a beautiful sunset backdrop of the city with Fenway Park and House of Blues. I haven’t even touch upon the FOOD! Hotel food isn’t known to be terrific, however ours WAS! The beef was amazingly tender and everything that came out from that kitchen was superior! It’s quite gourmet and being foodies we really loved that! The dessert room is beyond fun and the dessert team does an amazing job displaying desserts in a stunning fashion. Once again, look for pictures online and you will be blown away. One of our guests commented that when speeches were over and the food was to arrive, the doors opened and the wait staff came out in FULL FORCE. Our 235 guests all were served at the same time! Another guest marveled at how the bartenders were making various specialty cocktails….and making them WELL! I could go on and on, but I do hope you take away from this “sincere” review that the quality of service, is unmatched and that we HIGHLY, HIGHLY ************recommend The Hotel Commonwealth!

there were not a lot of comparable reviews of the space for us to analyze. However, HC and Veronica delivered beyond what they had described and our wedding turned out exactly as we pictured. You really can't go wrong with the Hotel Commonwealth as a venue if you are looking to put on an "urban" or "cosmopolitan" event. The location is quintessential Boston overlooking Fenway Park. Some of the best restaurants in Boston are located on site, and the hotel itself is comfortable and accommodating. All of our guests had great things to say about their experiences. Veronica, our day-of-event coordinator, met with us numerous times leading up to the event to review the plans for the day, and she was seemingly everywhere at once on the night of our wedding itself. She took great care of the wedding party, our families, and all of our guests in general. Weddings come in all sizes and thus all budgets so I have no idea if most people would think HC is expensive or cheap. What I can say is that for what my wife and I were looking for, HC had, by far, the best value for the money and still maintained excellent quality. If Hotel Commonwealth is on your list of potential venues for an event, do yourself a favor and pay them a visit.

It was restaurant quality for 180 covers - very impressive. Our big day really was everything we had hoped for and it would have been impossible without the Hotel Commonwealth.

cenes made booking the rooms easier than I could have imagined. They made sure all our guests got a gift bag when they checked in. We stayed in the Loft Suite for 3 nights and it was the perfect room to have people meet up in before going out and to have the wedding party get ready in. The rooms were gorgeously decorated, clean, and modern.
