From the time we found Hotel Monaco during our venue search at the wedding expo to the moment my wife and I said "I do" on our wedding day, the Kimpton experience has been second to none. I would like to extend my gratitude to all the staff who helped with the ceremony and reception, as well as the individuals behind the scenes who made it all come together perfectly. Each department/team, ranging from billing/accounting, wedding planning, room blocks, catering, etc. did an exceptional job and should be highlighted. I wish I could name everyone we came in contact with who ensured all our needs were met, but the characters limit would exceed this post. Big shout-outs to Desiree Sklar, Katie Killman, Breanna Rolleand, and Bernardo for being there with us every step of the way. I truly consider them the Wedding Dream Team of Hotel Monaco! My wife and I can not say thank you enough for making our special night one to remember.

We did a micro wedding reception in the Shanghai room. It was the perfect one stop shop for an intimate elopement. I couldn’t have asked for anything more. I will forever recommend anyone to not only stay at Hotel Monaco but book their wedding there!

Our guests were especially impressed with the ceremony space in the Stratus Rooftop Lounge, which provided a stunning and memorable backdrop. The wedding and catering staff are truly top-notch. Desiree and Katie are exceptional—professional, warm, and detail-oriented. They answered every question with patience and made the planning process feel personalized and stress-free. Talia did a fantastic job coordinating our room block of 30 rooms. Many guests shared how much they loved their accommodations. The bar and banquet teams were equally impressive—attentive, friendly, and committed to making everyone feel welcomed. A special shoutout to Bernardo, whose hospitality left a lasting impression. And the food—wow! We received so many compliments on the cocktail hour selections and reception meals. Every dish was delicious and beautifully presented. Thanks to the Kimpton Monaco Philadelphia, our daughter and son-in-law had the wedding of their dreams. We couldn’t be more grateful for the incredible experience and service we received. Highly recommended!

Coordinating with Talia was easy and she was also very attentive to our requests and questions. The rooms were beautiful, the view from our suite was picturesque, and the service was excellent. Our guests raved about the food and drinks at the after party, and loved the location it's in in the city. I would definitely come stay in this hotel again for a staycation or recommend others to have their wedding weekend here.

s. The space was perfect and didn’t feel crowded! The hotel was easy to work with and communicative through the wedding. Overall, we had a positive experience. Our only issue was some guests (including my husband) had valet parking charged to their room for cars that did not belong to them. If you book a block through them, make sure your guests check their bill at checkout to avoid any issues with that!

hen we had a last minute cancllation. The staff went above and beyond to help us feel comfortable. The classic ballroom and exterior with quirky lobby and room accents were perfect for our classic, formal winter wedding. We held our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception all at the monaco which meant the transitions were seamless and our guests loved it. We also met our guests for a causal get-together in the red owl tavern which was such a comfortable, casual place to meet our guests as they arrived. All in all we loved having our wedding at Hotel Monaco and so did our guests!

ntire process. She made us feel so special by listening to our unique ideas and pushing us in the right direction whenever we were uncertain. Desiree swooped in to save the day multiple times throughout the wedding weekend, and we received several compliments about how professional and sweet she was on our big day. Guests also loved the food and thought the ceremony set up was so unique and beautiful. Being two brides, we both wanted to walk down the aisle at the same time, so Stratus was perfect because we could each come from one of the houses (Mist and Vapor) on either side. We had the ceremony (and later the band / reception) right under the wings in the center of the rooftop. Even though we didn’t have a sit down dinner, all 140 guests had a place to sit and eat or lounge if they didn’t want to dance. It was the perfect night, better than we could ever dream, and that’s all thanks to Desiree and team! We’ll be coming back to Hotel Monaco every year to relive the magic, that’s for sure :)

All of our guests loved the cocktail hour at Stratus as well. I was blown away by how incredible the ballroom looked for our reception. The entire day went so seamlessly. All of our guests told us how much they loved the hotel and how much fun they had. We had a great experience working with the entire team at Hotel Monaco.

oof at the Stratus which was so unique and incredible. Our guests thought the food was excellent. The cocktail hour was abundant to the point that many said they ate so much at the cocktail hour that they were stuffed by the time the meal came around. As far as the planning was concerned, Katie is one of a kind and I cannot say enough good things about her. She was incredibly patient, reassuring and extremely timely in her responses to our multitude of questions. There was no situation she could not solve. The staff was excellent including the valet, reservations, reception as well as the waitstaff for the wedding. And a special shout out to Bernardo who was the maitre-d for our tasting. He was so much fun and made the experience so enjoyable. The location of the Hotel Monaco cannot be beat. It is in the middle of Old City right across from Independence Hall. Consequently, there are fabulous photo ops available within walking distance. It is easily accessible to the airport for out of town guests and there are a multitude of nearby sites to occupy them during downtime. All in all, it was such a special day and I would not hesitate to recommend this venue to anyone!!

aco is exceptional, all of it -- the Valets, Bell Stand staff, front desk registration, house keeping every one of our guests were blown away by the warm friendly accessible treatment during their weekend stay. Desiree managed our timeline perfectly from the walk down the aisle, picture taking, cocktail party, and reception. All venues were managed impeccably. The bartenders were attentive and efficient and creative with their skills. The catering team was impeccable! All of our food was served hot, delicious and beautifully plated. Our guests are still complimenting us on the fantastic food. Our wedding was magical and delivered to perfection by the amazing staff at the Monaco!

From the server Bernado who served the wedding party and guest to the bartender Brittany we received exceptional service. Bernado was very high energy with his amazing voice! Katie took a ton off our plate in what is a very stressful experience. The morning of our event, Katie came to my suite to assist with decorative items and ensured everything was perfect! I truly appreciate the service we received and can't wait to visit Hotel Monaco for our 1 year wedding anniversary!

Katie was incredibly helpful with all things pricing, food, sharing preffered vendors etc all things that come with her job Im sure, But what made our experience truly special is that we felt katie really understood our vision, and goals for the wedding, and she was so incredibly helpful in helping us execute that down to perfection. Being a very hands on person myself, katie was so great with communication, constantly staying in the loop and checking in, and always making sure she was on the very same page as us throughout the planning process. very long story short, Katie Killman and Hotel Monaco are at 11/10, we cannot recomend them more, and we couldn't have possibly had a better wedding, thanks to them!

g! My husband and I started planning in 2019, but postponed a couple times due to the pandemic. We finally hosted our reception this past weekend and we are SOOOO glad we followed through with this party of a lifetime! Desiree, the Director of Catering, was a fabulous planner and coordinator. Her passion for her job shines through in EVERY conversation and EVERY detail. Her and her team were so attentive and made sure our delayed celebration was nothing less than magical. The Monaco's team, especially Desiree, stay calm, cool, and collected and really help ease the nerves that come with planning a party. They ensured that everything carried out swimmingly! Even on the day of the party, Desiree made sure to check in with me and my husband and reassure us that all our plans and decor were getting set up as planned. At the celebration, the food was incredible! The atmosphere was stunning. And, the staff was attentive, friendly, and so cheerful to be apart of the party! We held our cocktail hour in Stratus the rooftop lounge and then moved down to the ballroom for dinner and dancing. We also had a room block with the hotel. And, we even had breakfast the next morning in the attached restaurant, Red Owl. Hotel Monaco has the FULL package and made this party truly a dream come true.

We were absolutely treated like royalty from start to finish throughout the entire planning process. Any little question/concern I had, Desiree was there to calm my nerves as an anxious bride and ensure every single detail was perfect. She even found the most perfect musician for our ceremony--Brian Fitzy (absolutely amazing!!). Our guests RAVED about the food (believe me, this is not your typical wedding food) and speciality cocktails (smoked out old fashioned bar & espresso martinis!). Desiree and the staff got to know us so personally, that they even delivered gifts for our dog when we arrived. The bartenders at the wedding even went as far as to assist us with an after party location (also met us there to continue the fun!) I cannot say enough good things about Hotel Monaco and their entire staff who all made our day an absolute dream come true. Don't think, just get married here!

Stratus Rooftop wedding buyout to keep it modern and fresh. When we told Desiree our vision she grabbed the reigns and made our entire vision came to life. We wanted modern, we wanted black and white, we wanted sex and we wanted appeal. Ok too far but you get the picture. Her and her staff were incredible. They were responsive, they were transparent, they worked around any obstacle, any pricing hurdle, had amazing creative ideas, they were so knowledgeable about literally every detail. Need help with decor? Ask Desiree. Need help ironing out where your guests can stay and get ready? Call Desiree? Need an X-factor but don’t know where to start? 1-800-DESIREE. The perks, the people, the venue are beyond 5 stars. Desiree booked Luke Carlos O’Reilly (does marvelous mrs maisel ring any bells??) to play piano at our wedding!!! The chef is INSANE! If you don’t want Boring old wedding food but a fine dining flavor explosion at your wedding-this is the spot. Oh did I mention they have a full service bar? Forget about make shift bars with limited ingredients. You are getting craft cocktails!! The hotel staff is also incredibly accommodating with booking and scheduling wedding events. From booking the initial tour, the tastings, booking other vendors, booking the tour of the venue, booking the room block, coordinating hair and makeup times, breakfast and get ready details, wedding timelines, you name it, they do it. This is a full service wedding venue and they give you full concierge five star treatment. Even the lighting was perfect! And I don’t just mean the sexy, modern, warm charm (and very flattering-you’ll look 10 years younger in your wedding photos) bulbs at the Stratus Lounge, I mean half of your venue scape is the Philly sky and skyline. If you have any reservations about booking here- don’t. This will be the most magical day of your life! I cannot thank the hotel and people here enough!

They truly made our wedding day dreams come true and MANNN did we throw a party! We truly got to enjoy the party we planned and there's no doubt we wouldn't get the same experience elsewhere. Our guests are still raving about it months later and how they got to experience all things Philly around the area too. We really couldn't ask for more and wish we could redo the whole day!! Throughout the process, she was enthusiastic and very engaged in making sure our event would run smoothly on their Rooftop Stratus Lounge Patio and Vapor and Mist Rooms. 21 and we delayed until January 2022. Desiree was extremely helpful throughout the process of rescheduling. Desiree is unbelievably good at what she does, and it was amazing working with her. Everyone else we worked with was great as well, especially Sara who coordinate the room blocks. Our wedding couldn't have been more perfect and it would not have been possible without Desiree!
