My husband and I just had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Kimpton Hotel Palomar on 2-29-20. After nearly giving up on having the wedding of our dreams due to our smaller budget and particular venue accommodation requirements, my mom s...tumbled upon the Palomar through this site! We reached out via email, and Erin, our lovely coordinator, got back to us almost immediately. When we expressed our budget and concerns, Erin really listened, and then offered and explained to us the wedding packages the Palomar offers. They have several packages that offer “all inclusive” features such as 2-3 course meals, coffee and tea stations, open bar and sodas, and other necessary items (chairs, tables, linens, flatware and barware). These packages were exactly what we were looking for to stick around our budget, and to top everything off, the fee per person includes service fees/gratuity. Erin was totally transparent with every conversation we had, which is SO refreshing in the wedding industry – there were no hidden costs which was very much appreciated. She was there to answer all of my questions (I probably had sent her about a hundred emails) and accommodated us when needed.
Not only was Erin fantastic, but so was the entire staff and crew that took care of us on our actual wedding night! They were nothing short of professional and kind, offering some of the best customer service I’ve ever seen. They were quick and polite, making the night so much fun for us and our guests. My husband and I utilized two floors for our wedding – the 25th floor for our ceremony and reception, and the 24th floor for cocktail hour. They staff did an incredible job setting up and decorating the spaces for us, making it even more beautiful than I had originally envisioned. While we were all enjoying cocktail hour on the 24th floor, they quickly flipped the ceremony space with our reception setup/décor, which turned out amazing! I really can’t praise them enough.
As far as the space itself goes, it is the perfect blend of Rittenhouse bougie with eclectic art deco style. The ballroom on the 25th floor (indoor ceremony and reception space) has been recently remodeled, and features soft gray tones with amazing chandeliers that line the center of the room. You also get an incredible (almost 360 degrees) view of center city with all the super cool skyscrapers and lights. It’s so elegant but also really modern and fun, offering crazy nighttime views! The 24th floor is equally as cool, but with a more funky vibe. It definitely has that art deco, eclectic feel that much of the hotel has. We were able to use all three rooms on this floor that was perfect for us to mix and mingle with our guests before heading upstairs for dinner and dancing.
I could write a lot more, but all-in-all, the Kimpton Hotel Palomar is a beautiful venue with amazing accommodations and offerings. You really can’t go wrong by booking through them. 10/10 would recommend this hotel!!!
