The Hotel Palomar went above and beyond for our wedding weekend in the spring. We had our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception, and morning after brunch as well as our room block at the hotel. The event coordinator, Erin S. and the entire team involved went above and beyond every step of the way.
Five months before our wedding, I had to have major surgery and quarantine for two – three months after. I was unable to attend our food tasting but my fiancé and both sets of parents went on my behalf. Erin was not only understanding but supportive as my own family and friends were – checking in and celebrating with me after the surgery. When the tasting came, the chef sent home full-sized portions for me to try at home. This was in addition to the full-sized ones my family tried as well.
The entire staff was there to answer any questions from me or our family. We had several dietary restrictions which Erin coordinated with the chef on our behalf to make sure those guests were included without having to worry.
We had a memorial table as well as several things to be set out (guest book, favors, name cards, etc.). I gave all these items to the team and it was fully taken care of for me and they even knew which favors were to be for gluten free guests.
Erin provided a list of pre-approved vendors they had worked with before (we didn’t have to use these) and we ended up using a lot of them. Erin coordinated with them directly as needed, photography locations for if it rained and DJ timeline. Due to the top tier efforts of the entire hotel, we were AHEAD of schedule the entire weekend which really allowed everyone to be fully present.
My bridal party and I were in the suite for preparations and they continued to go above and beyond. We had a team member bring us our food and coffee order and he was so accommodating. He brought iced coffee when I mentioned that’s my preferences and we talked about our pets since I had my dog with me (as did several of our guests).
Our guests were also well taken care of – from unpacking cars for their stays to helping our vendors get to their locations.
I would sit here and list every name of every person that I felt were stars but honestly, it was the entire team. Everyone I encountered the whole time was a five star person.
I cannot recommend this location enough for any occasion including just a regular weekend stay in Philadelphia.
We had our wedding at the Kimpton Hotel Palomar Philadelphia, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The hotel staff are true professionals, guiding us through every step of the planning process with care and expertise.
Our vision came to life perfectly—a stress-free, seamless wedding that stayed within our budget. We planned everything in just 30 days, and our coordinator, Erin, was instrumental in making it all happen. We’re deeply grateful for her support and attention to detail.
The event spaces are stunning, with elegant, updated interiors set in a historic building in the heart of the city. The hotel offers two unique venues on the 24th and 25th floors. The 24th floor is ideal for a cocktail reception, while the 25th floor serves as the main space for the ceremony and banquet. There’s also a charming library-themed photo zone on the 25th floor, perfect for capturing beautiful wedding photos.
Our wedding package included a DJ and a custom wedding cake, both of which exceeded our expectations. The food was delicious, the guests were happy, and the bar service was exceptional, with bartenders crafting any cocktail we requested.
The pricing is reasonable for Center City Philadelphia, offering excellent value for the quality of service provided. As a lovely bonus, the hotel included a spacious two-room suite for us, along with a complimentary treat of chocolate-covered strawberries and champagne.
We highly recommend Hotel Palomar Philadelphia for weddings. It’s a beautiful venue with outstanding service, and we couldn’t be happier with our choice.
The Kimpton Hotel Palomar Philadelphia was absolutely wonderful for our wedding, and we are so pleased with how the day turned out. Our wedding day goal was to be fully present with each other and with those we love, which was made possible by the intimate and whimsical settings of John F. Collins Park and the Kimpton Hotel Palomar Philadelphia and their staff. We were able to visit with each and every one of our guests and fully enjoy our time together and each space our celebration moved through without worrying about details and the flow of things. We absolutely loved the day felt it was a perfect reflection of all the things that we enjoy together.
Erin and the entire Kimpton staff were thoughtful, professional, and paid close attention to detail, often going the extra mile without even being asked. Erin provided constant coordination and timely answers/solutions to questions, which helped the day go off without a hitch. I would highly recommend hosting your wedding at the Palomar if you are looking for a classy, unique, and beautiful city venue. Our guests raved about the location and ease of getting around to all the city has to offer. We found this venue to have an incredible value for the cost, and our guests won't stop talking about how much they loved it. We can't wait to return to the Palomar Philadelphia and will likely seek out other Kimptons across the country, too!
Any questions?
We 100% recommend having your wedding at the Palomar Hotel! I would summarize our experience as luxe and elegant at an affordable cost.
We invited about 60 guests and the ballroom at the Palomar was the perfect size for an intimate wedding but also large enough for a dance floor. We went with the plated dinner option and turned the library into a desert room which was a huge hit. Our guests loved the food, the staff, the attention to detail, and the desserts.
The ballroom itself is simple but with the right touches for an elegant wedding.
The food was delicious and the Palomar was able to accommodate our need for Halal food. We had searched high and low for an elegant setting that could accommodate the need for Halal food and also have a dance floor. Every other option was ridiculously expensive and frankly not as great as the Palomar. We are so lucky to have found them!
In addition, the hotel is beautiful and offers a great background for couples portraits and family pictures. Combined with a great photographer, you will have beautiful memories from your special day at the Palomar.
Saving the best for last, Erin Schwamb is a master coordinator, a true professional, and the kindest and best person to work with! Erin took note of every single detail we shared and made sure to address even the smallest of requests from us. She is also very transparent about what the hotel can and can’t accommodate and is a great communicator. We coordinated mostly through email for almost a year and all details were addressed. She is also a fantastic liaison between the couple and the rest of the staff who are all wonderful and just as professional and accommodating.
We kept our decorations pretty simple by including a few signs, a jenga guestbook, flower centerpieces, and some framed pictures. The staff set up all out decorations (they can help with this as long as it’s mainly just placing items on tables) and the table settings. We definitely did not need to hire an additional coordinator for the day. We are so grateful that the hotel took care of those details and worked closely with our DJ and photographer to make the day run smoothly. We were very stressed free all day!
Erin also coordinated with the staff at John F Collins Park where we had our ceremony.
Run, don’t walk to book your wedding at the Palomar!
My husband and I had our wedding reception and hotel block at the Kimpton Hotel Palomar on 9/1 and it was truly the best day ever. We had a hard time finding a venue that would meet minimum spend requirements as we had a small guest list of 65. The packages offered here are not only incredibly reasonable for Philadelphia but also all-inclusive and customizable. Erin the Director was not only with us for every step of the planning process but also was an invaluable in helping with day-of coordination. We booked the presidential suite for the weekend which was wonderful and doubled as our getting-ready space. We had our ceremony at JF Collins park, there were some weather concerns but Erin was so on top of it ensuring we could wait until wedding day to make a decision with a good rain plan, I am SO happy she guided me on that because we ended up having our dream outdoor ceremony. The Palomar has an amazing chef in-house who curated an amazing tasting experience and assisted us to create a perfect menu. My friends are still talking about the mini lobster rolls at cocktail hour! The food was incredible, the best I have ever had a wedding. The service was perfect, the banquet manager was there for anything we needed (including securing my very complex bustle while I was enjoying cocktail hour) and every detail was taken care of so I could just be super present and enjoy the day. All of our guests who stayed at the hotel and had so many amazing things to say about how wonderful the food and service was not only at the wedding itself but during their entire stay, from consigliere to valet to front desk to housekeeping. And I can't say enough how amazing it was to literally not worry about a single thing all day.
We were very pleased to have our wedding reception at Kimpton Palomar in Philadelphia. We loved the venue and layout with its 1920s charm. We received great reviews from our guests about the full bar! Erin S. - director of catering - was very helpful with the planning process, the day of, and after. We would definitely recommend this venue.
My daughter (who co-signs this review) and her fiancé had their May 4, 2024 wedding at the Hotel Palomar in Philadelphia, which included the bridal ready room, on-site ceremony, cocktail party and reception, and day-after brunch. We have nothing but the best reviews for the experience. Erin was excellent: she provided clear and timely information every step of the way; worked to help achieve my daughter’s vision for a warm and intimate wedding for 90; and became a true partner in creating the wedding of her dreams. The food was excellent, including the vegetarian and non-alcohol options. Every member of the staff was stellar. They worked to ensure all our guests were happy. Simply the best!
Hote Palomar was a great pick for our room block and getting ready rooms. Location is central to all areas of the city and the room provided for the bridal party was spacious and had grear service from the banquet staff. Plus, lots of really cool places around the hotel for pictures! It rained the morning/early afternoon the day of our wedding and we fortunately had great spots around the hotel to supplement photos.
We had an amazing experience planning and hosting our wedding here. We had the pleasure of working with Erin and she made sure that our vision came to life with the help of her staff. Everyone was extremely responsive and we had an incredible time. We hosted our ceremony on John F Collins park and The Kimpton helped us to coordinate with them and make the transition to the reception seamless. Highly HIGHLY recommend staying/ getting ready in the Presidential Suite, absolutely beautiful.
We chose hotel palomar as our only room block for our wedding. Communication was generally prompt and became better closer to the event. We worked with Lauren Smith for catering in our getting ready room who was very helpful and then Jill and later Savannah regarding our room block and logistics. Savannah was wonderful, accommodating, and a good communicator. We booked both the getting ready room (Abel room) as well as the presidential suite for the stay. The getting ready room was great for hair and make up. The presidential suite was clean and large but the bed was fairly hard and uncomfortable and there was a frequent whistling noise that sounded like air in the pipes you could easily hear it seemed whenever someone in the hotel used water. They were unfortunately unable to address this during our stay so would inquire about it before booking as it was pretty difficult to sleep through.
Overall the service provided by hotel Palomar was friendly and accommodating and the rooms were nice - would recommend!
We stayed at the Hotel Palomar for our wedding in November and can’t recommend it enough!
We booked our hotel block here for our guests. We had to add more rooms a few times throughout the year and they always were able to accommodate the changes for us!
Both my husband and I got ready at the hotel - I was in the Tyng Room and he was in the Presidential Suite. Both rooms were amazing and great for photographs! We ordered food and drinks for breakfast/lunch and everything was delivered promptly and was so delicious! They made sure we had everything we needed throughout the whole process.
We also hosted our after party at the hotel bar after the reception. We had a blast and felt taken care of the whole night.
We received so many compliments from our guests on how nice the hotel was for everyone. We really can’t recommend the Hotel Palomar enough and are so excited to return to celebrate our First Anniversary next year!
I recently had the pleasure of hosting my wedding at The Krimpton Hotel Palomar and I cannot express enough how thrilled I am with the entire experience. From start to finish, the team at the Krimpton Krimpton Palomar went above and beyond to ensure that our special day was nothing short of perfect. The venue itself is absolutely stunning. Hats off to the Chef the food is absolutely fantastic.
We held our Wedding Welcome Party, Room block, and Brunch at the Kimpton Hotel Palomar. All I can say is WOW! The staff is incredible, the venue was clean, centrally located, and food was amazing.
It was perfect for our getting ready photos!
The rooms were so clean and spacious. We stayed at the presidential suite which was so nice to have as a central point for the wedding.
1) Lauren, Catering Sales Manager, went above and beyond for planning our welcome party and brunch. We could have have pulled off the food and party without her!
2) Jill, Catering Coordinator, made our room block experience seamless. She made sure we were up to date as well as coordinated all the bonuses we got from our wedding weekend as well as food and drinks from the weekend
3)Savannah, Conference Services Manager, was the best overall contact for the entire weekend. She was there whenever we had questions and so helpful inside
4) Jenna from the events/catering team managed her team for the welcome party and brunch seamlessly! She made sure our guest were comfortable, food was out correctly, and the set up was perfect
Also, so happy you are dog friendly!
Thank you again! It was amazing
We had the most amazing wedding experience at the Hotel Palomar. Erin was amazing. She answered every single question we had and did an amazing job perfecting every detail of the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. The service and food were top tier. Jenna, Lauren, and the entire staff at the Hotel Palomar were exceptional and made sure we were stress free the entire day. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful venue that met our every need!
If you're planning a medium-to-small wedding in Philadelphia, do yourself a favor and book the Palomar. We worked with Erin to plan our 60 person event completely on-site. Get ready bridal suite for the women, ceremony in the ballroom, expansive space with ample seating for cocktail hour, followed by dinner and dancing back in the ballroom (they flip the space from Ceremony to Reception during Cocktail hour).
Erin is an absolute pleasure to work with. Kind, supportive, really listens to what you want to make your day perfect. In addition to helping us coordinated during planning, she also served as our day-of coordinator ensuring the vendors knew where to go and when, so the only thing I had to focus on was getting married. She helped us work with the chef to craft a completely gluten-free menu so my groom could eat without concern, from the Rehearsal dinner which we hosted on-site (10% discount for any wedding-related events if you book the wedding) to the food we had as we were getting ready, through to the cake at the end of the evening. EVERYONE raved about the food - they had no clue they weren't eating gluten. I'm not even exaggerating, people were in heaven.
Towards the end of the night Erin passed off to Jenna, who is the banquet manager. Jenna is also on-top of her game. She was everywhere, doing everything, ensuring we were taken care of and plied with food and drink.
Honestly cannot say enough about how grateful I feel to have hosted my wedding at the Palomar. They really made us feel special. Thank you for everything Erin and Jenna!!
The perfect venue for small/medium weddings. Our 80 guest wedding was initially difficult to find a venue because most locations either wanted a 125+ minimum or were too small for our guest count on a Saturday. We were very happy to find the Kimpton Hotel Palomar Philadelphia offered the perfect location and size. Erin, the event manager, was exemplary. She was on top of all the details, communicative, knowledgeable, and proactive. She also had a nice list of vendors to help with other aspects of the wedding day. You couldn't be in better hands and she will do everything possible to make sure your wedding goes as planned. We also appreciated that she is upfront and detailed in what the hotel can and can't do plus what is allowed in the space. She avoided the bad habit many have of trying to oversell and then underdeliver. The food was delicious and every guest commented on how wonderfully everything tasted and many said it was the best food they had ever had at an event. The menu was recently revamped by Chef Ronde and Chef Moe. This occurred after we signed our contract and we were initially concerned it would be a problem. Not only was the new menu an improvement, the hotel made it clear they would honor the old menu items if we choose since that was what we originally agreed to. We were both impressed that there wasn't a big drop-off between the quality at the tasting versus the actual wedding. Savannah, who manages room blocks, was extremely helpful and was able to make some complicated but needed reservation adjustments with ease. The location was well appointed, clean, and filled with friendly and helpful staff. We were particularly impressed with Erin's assistant manager Jenna, who kept the wedding on track once it started, and Jason, who single handedly kept the most important person (the bride) comfortable and very happy getting ready on the big day. We highly recommend opting for the custom couples drink(s). The head bartender Alex was great when working with us on creating custom cocktails. It was tremendous fun work with him hands on during our mixology session. The location in Center City is very convenient for site seeing and near numerous restaurants/shops. Our only negatives were parking, some of the room sizes, and the wait times for elevators. The hotel is located on a small and very congested road with limited curb space. Parking is offsite only and this makes for a very difficult loading area. Also you should tell your guests to arrive early as there are only so many valets to take the cars to the lot. The building was converted to a hotel as it was previously home to regional office of the American Architectural Association. This means a limited elevator bank and some guest rooms that are on the small side. These were minor issues for us but take it into account so you aren't surprised.
We had our wedding at the Kimpton Palomar Hotel in March 2023 and I cannot imagine ever having our wedding anywhere else. This venue offers all inclusive wedding packages which made everything so much easier for us. The prices were really reasonable compared to many other venues of similar quality.
Everything was absolutely perfect and seamless. Our coordinator Erin Schwab was there with us every step of the way. Couldn’t have done it without her. The service staff were wonderful and attentive. With their help to orchestrate the flow of the wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, I had no care in the world on the day of and that speaks a lot for being the bride.
The food and open bar were awesome! I had plenty of compliments about our wedding and the venue even now. I highly recommend this venue for weddings for the overall quality and service.
My husband and I can’t find all the ways to describe the incredible experience working with Philadelphia Kimpton Hotel Palomar. We used Hotel Palomar for our hotel wedding block, rehearsal dinner, after party, and post wedding brunch. Erin Schwab, Kelly Gibson, and Savannah Schultz all played pivotal roles with hotel block sales, catering, and event space bookings. They answered what felt like hundreds of questions throughout the whole process. It made for one of the best hospitality experiences. Hotel Palomar was amazingly accommodating to my husband and I from check in to check out. The front desk crew including, Mollie Cohen, bell staff, and valets did a dynamite job welcoming us and our bridal party and helping out all of guests. They made sure everyone involved with our wedding received a gift bag we put together and had all the information for wedding shuttle services, after party, and brunch. All the staff were extremely professional and pleasant to work with. My husband and I hosted an after party at the attached restaurant, Square 1682. The after party was epic with wall to wall guests and delicious food. The post wedding brunch the next morning was just as awesome with the fabulous breakfast buffet and beautiful views of the city from the atop the hotel. Added bonus: daily wine hour! Not to mention, Hotel Palomar is pet friendly! We HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Philadelphia Kimpton Hotel Palomar for accommodations for all occasions.
Although I am currently based in the UK, I'm originally from Pennsylvania. When we decided to hold our wedding in Philadelphia, I spent many months researching venues, and eventually became discouraged because it seemed that having a wedding in the city was going to end up being out of budget for us. I'd originally dismissed hotel venues because I don't like stuffy, formal ballrooms and with a smaller guest list, I didn't think we'd have enough guests to fill one anyway. When I saw photos of the ballroom at the Palomar, I was impressed by the modern design. It's not at all 'stuffy' or traditional-looking, and as a bonus holds a maximum of around 100 people for dinner. The hotel itself is also a beautiful building located right in Center City. Not only is it extremely affordable for the location, but all the pricing is inclusive of taxes, gratuities and fees, so you know up front what you're paying - a refreshing change from most wedding venues. Erin, the catering director, was with us every step of the way and could not have been more accommodating or helpful. Through 18 months or so of emails and questions, she was never impatient or unkind, and always responded within a day or so, even when she undoubtedly was busy with many other events. Due to a combination of the pandemic and being in another country, we were unable to tour the venue in person before signing the contract. No matter - Erin offered us a virtual tour and invited my aunt and uncle to tour in our place in-person. When we could only do the food tasting during a flying visit to the city last November, she made sure it would fit around our schedule despite tastings not usually being offered at the time we were available. She was not just a venue contact but a source of support and an all-around coordinator who made us feel she truly wanted our day to be perfect. On the day of our wedding, I met Erin in person, along with the banquet manager, Jenna. They were both as friendly as I'd imagined and were on hand for anything we needed. I never felt that I had to worry about anything as it was all ticking away behind the scenes. I never felt stressed or overwhelmed on the day because they literally took care of everything for me. I must also mention Jason (I believe this was his name, apologies if I've got it wrong!) who was my server in the bridal get-ready room. His job was to serve the breakfast I'd ordered, but he went above and beyond his duties. He sat with me whenever I was alone and made sure I wasn't nervous, made sure I was eating, offered to run out and get anything I needed - in fact, he did run out to buy my husband-to-be cologne when he realised he'd forgotten his, and would not accept payment when he delivered it to him. I couldn't believe someone who was essentially a stranger could be so kind and attentive to us. In fact, all of the staff were unbelievably friendly and helpful. In terms of the reception, the food - from the cocktail hour canapes to the dinner - was amazing, and we had so many compliments on everything, from the meals to the signature cocktails. I truly cannot fault any part of our experience and all of our guests have said the same. The Palomar could charge triple for the service they provide, but for the cost, it is an unbelievable value and an incredible experience. We had the best day of our lives to date and it is largely down to the dedicated service of everyone at the Palomar.
The Kimpton Hotel Palomar in Philadelphia was one of our chosen guest hotels. The rooms were not huge, but they are up- to- date and nicely furnished and we were proud to host our guests there; as an added bonus they serve wine in the lobby 5–6 pm each day. Overall, the hotel has a great vibe. The front desk service was exceptional and very responsive. The doormen and valets were also great ( request your car early, they do get very busy at times!) I worked with Erin to create the perfect customized post-wedding breakfast for our guests, and it was served in their gorgeous 25th floor setting.( The 24th floor is spectacular, also). Again, the service was flawless for the catering. Hint: We were allowed to bring our flowers from the wedding to decorate the tables and that added a lot to the ambience: security let us in the night before.
So happy we chose Hotel Palomar for our daughter's wedding in May. The ballroom, with a maximum of 100 guests for a plated dinner, was a perfect size for our wedding vision. And our daughter and (now) son-in-law loved the vibe of the room with its many windows showing the city's nightlights from the 25th floor.
All of our planning with Erin, the director of catering, was always pleasant - she was available anytime with a quick response to any questions and concerns - and her suggestions, based on her experience, made our decision-making easier.
The day of the wedding was made less stressful with Erin's personal attention to the bride and guiding us every step of the way.
All of the planning with Hotel Palomar leading up to the wedding day went very smoothly, including the menu tasting with Chef "Mack" Horebe, who expertly guided us in making our entree selections.
Staying in the hotel's Presidential Suite added a wonderful, special touch as the bride and groom prepared for the next day's celebration of their marriage.
Erin, her team and the hotel were very accommodating working with our vendors and the wedding was a wonderful celebration with our family and friends.
The wedding guests who stayed at Hotel Palomar commented so positively about their rooms and the excellent service provided by the hotel.
Thank you to Erin and her staff, and Hotel Palomar!
My husband and I are so happy we chose to have our wedding at the Kimpton Hotel Palomar. We decided to scale down our wedding and have a ceremony with only our closet family and friends due to COVID (46 guests). However, I did not want to sacrifice on elegance and quality. We visited several venues and were shocked at the exorbitant cost or minimum head count requirements (given COVID) for many venues. But when I saw pictures of the Kimpton Palomar and saw how reasonable their wedding packages were, I knew we had found our place. This feeling was confirmed once we saw how beautiful the hotel is in person and met with Erin, their Director of Catering. Erin was always friendly, super responsive and patient with all of my questions, open to all of my ideas, and provided guidance/recommendations. I also appreciated her honesty when she felt something would not work. She promised that she would ensure that everything would run as smoothly as possible on our wedding day, and she delivered. She worked behind the scenes with the rest of the hotel staff to ensure everyone knew who we were upon arrival, all of our guest rooms were prepared, and the bellman staff had enough hands on deck to assist with our luggage and wedding materials. On the day of our wedding, we were running late from our photoshoot and were set to arrive back at the hotel while our guests were arriving. I was stressed about being late and walking through the lobby where guests could see me prior to the ceremony. Erin jumped into action and coordinated with the hotel staff and my wedding planner to quietly escort me back into the hotel through the service entrance. She met me at a hidden door with a calming smile and assured me that everything would be ok as she whisked me back to the beautiful presidential suite to freshen up prior to the ceremony. The set up and décor for both the cocktail hour and reception were complete according to my requests. With the exception of the entrée chicken being slightly dry, all of the food at the cocktail hour and reception were excellent and tasty. The bartender was outstanding. He was super friendly with all of my guests, made specialty drinks that everyone loved based on his conversations with them, and ensured that me and my husband always had a drink in our hands – even if he had to personally bring it to us. We received many compliments from our guests regarding the venue, food, and bartender, with some stating that it was the nicest wedding they had ever attended. I cannot say enough good things about the Kimpton Hotel Palomar. If you are looking for a beautiful venue for a smaller wedding at a reasonable price, I highly recommend this hotel. #ronsolimanphotojournalism
It is difficult to summarize our entire wedding experience in just a few short notes, but we can confidently state we had such a phenomenal weekend celebrating our love at the Hotel Palomar! We had looked at dozens of venues in the city and once we met with Erin at the Palomar we were certain this was the location and venue to exceed all of our expectations. And the Palomar certainly delivered! We loved the intimate atmosphere of the Burnham Ballroom especially that it was located on the 25th floor. Most venues we looked at had lower level ballrooms and this space really embraced the urban wedding vibe. The AIA room was also perfect for pictures! The arrangement that the hotel had with Philly to utilize the John F. Collins Park for our ceremony could not have been more perfect! The location to the hotel and park was perfect and resonated so nicely with our guests and family! It is a little hidden gem in the city just steps away from the hotel lobby! As we got closer to our big day, Erin remained in close contact and was able to quickly and swiftly address any of our last-minute concerns or questions. Erin was always so resourceful and willing to go out of her way to accommodate any and all requests we sent her way. We truly felt like the hotel made us a priority including our beloved guests. We found the Palomar pricing to be very reasonable especially in comparison to the other venues near and within the Philly area. We were able to include a post wedding brunch Sunday morning, which was great for our out of town guests that stayed overnight prior to their departures. The food and beverages including the wedding cake from Velvet Sky Bakery were always stellar along with the service! We encourage anyone considering an urban wedding to check out what the Palomar has to offer. They really made our wedding day so memorable and special.
First let me say, the staff was amazing!! I received multiple calls from my guests wanting to know where we got the staff from because they were so amazing. Special thanks to Erin who helped us organize and plan everything, she responded to questions quickly and gave sound advice when needed. Our event came out more perfect than i could have ever imagined…a night i will never forget
My daughter was recently married in Philadelphia and over 85% of the guest were from out of town. I worked with the Kimpton Hotel Palomar Philadelphia to secure a block of rooms as well as banquet facilities for both a Welcome Reception and a Farewell Brunch for over 9 months. I am a very demanding customer, but Erin and Savannah always treated me with respect. They were quick to respond to my multiple emails and phone calls over those months and always quickly corrected any discrepancies that may have occurred. Guest stays and activities spanned 4 days. The entire hotel staff from the doorman to the wait staff were very accommodating, polite, and cheerful. We provided welcome bags for our guests, and they were efficiently delivered to each guest’s room. The presidential suite was perfect for the bridal party events throughout the weekend. I can’t say enough to relay how every staff member at the hotel made everyone’s stay pleasant and enjoyable. The wedding venue was at the horticultural center, so I contracted party buses to transport the guest. The coordination to get large buses on 17th street loaded and unloaded seemed effortless. Also, the hotel is centrally located to tourist spots and great restaurants so it was a perfect spot for the guest during their down time. I would highly recommend this hotel not only for wedding booking for also for short stays in town.
Erin was so helpful and accommodating to my family and friends. She was my right hand woman helping me reduce the stress of planning a wedding. Venue was beautiful and perfect for our wedding.
My husband and I just had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Kimpton Hotel Palomar on 2-29-20. After nearly giving up on having the wedding of our dreams due to our smaller budget and particular venue accommodation requirements, my mom stumbled upon the Palomar through this site! We reached out via email, and Erin, our lovely coordinator, got back to us almost immediately. When we expressed our budget and concerns, Erin really listened, and then offered and explained to us the wedding packages the Palomar offers. They have several packages that offer “all inclusive” features such as 2-3 course meals, coffee and tea stations, open bar and sodas, and other necessary items (chairs, tables, linens, flatware and barware). These packages were exactly what we were looking for to stick around our budget, and to top everything off, the fee per person includes service fees/gratuity. Erin was totally transparent with every conversation we had, which is SO refreshing in the wedding industry – there were no hidden costs which was very much appreciated. She was there to answer all of my questions (I probably had sent her about a hundred emails) and accommodated us when needed.
Not only was Erin fantastic, but so was the entire staff and crew that took care of us on our actual wedding night! They were nothing short of professional and kind, offering some of the best customer service I’ve ever seen. They were quick and polite, making the night so much fun for us and our guests. My husband and I utilized two floors for our wedding – the 25th floor for our ceremony and reception, and the 24th floor for cocktail hour. They staff did an incredible job setting up and decorating the spaces for us, making it even more beautiful than I had originally envisioned. While we were all enjoying cocktail hour on the 24th floor, they quickly flipped the ceremony space with our reception setup/décor, which turned out amazing! I really can’t praise them enough.
As far as the space itself goes, it is the perfect blend of Rittenhouse bougie with eclectic art deco style. The ballroom on the 25th floor (indoor ceremony and reception space) has been recently remodeled, and features soft gray tones with amazing chandeliers that line the center of the room. You also get an incredible (almost 360 degrees) view of center city with all the super cool skyscrapers and lights. It’s so elegant but also really modern and fun, offering crazy nighttime views! The 24th floor is equally as cool, but with a more funky vibe. It definitely has that art deco, eclectic feel that much of the hotel has. We were able to use all three rooms on this floor that was perfect for us to mix and mingle with our guests before heading upstairs for dinner and dancing.
I could write a lot more, but all-in-all, the Kimpton Hotel Palomar is a beautiful venue with amazing accommodations and offerings. You really can’t go wrong by booking through them. 10/10 would recommend this hotel!!!
We had our hotel block here and stayed in their presidential suite the whole weekend also. The rooms rates were not bad considering we were in Rittenhouse and the rooms were fantastic. The staff is super friendly and provided everything we needed plus more. They had extra stools and mirrors for us the morning of and since we filled up most of our block they added in mimosas and beers for the wedding party as well as 10% off our brunch we had the next day at Square 1682.
I just had my elopement ceremony here over the weekend and it was absolutely perfect. We had 30 family and friends come to the ceremony and then had a small reception after. It was all part of a package that they offered and they took care of every detail. Amanda, who was helped us with the entire process and she was so helpful and nice throughout it all. It was a wonderful and I would recommend highly this venue.
Stunning Hotel - cool design and art. Centrally located in Philadelphia. However, the SERVICE and working with the Director Catering was fantastic. They looked after our every need, wonderful personalized service and great attention to detail. We also stayed at the hotel with a number of our guests - everyone loved it and we were all well looked after.
Fabulous venue for our wedding!
Unique boutique hotel and perfect for a wedding reception for 80 people.
The service is excellent, food amazing and overall a perfect venue!
Highly recommend this hotel!
We booked out wedding here for October 2015 for around 40 guests. The planner (Erin Ketterer) was so helpful and attentive. She would follow up with emails and phone calls very quickly. We booked our wedding in the Cret and Wright rooms. We also had use of the library for photos. Food tasting was very helpful to sample the dishes, and the dishes were super tasty. We were able to make suggestions about things we didn't really love and they changed them for us. It was a great event space, and the use of their event space lights was a great money saver.
My husband and I (we are a gay couple) got married in Center City, and Hotel Palomar was so easy to work with for our hotel block for our out of town guests. Kevin, the sales person who coordinated everything, was excellent and responded to all e-mails very rapidly! Our guests loved the hotel, its boutique feel, and the staff's very attentive attention to details. My husband and I spent our wedding night in one of the hotel suites, which was gorgeous. The hotel restaurant, Square 1682, was also very accommodating. Joan from Square 1682 was so helpful and easy to work with for our wedding weekend. She helped us organize a brunch in the restaurant the day after the wedding and she reserved space for us in the bar for late-night after the wedding. All in all, Hotel Palomar is a beautiful hotel with a really great staff that treated us very well!
The Palomar was a great spot for us and our guests. their service is attentive, everyone LOVED the wine hour and the fact that they are pet friendly was huge for us and our animal loving guests. We had a suite so I could get ready there and we could have guests over for brunch which worked out perfectly. The bathroom was HUGE, great for getting ready in and also for my new husband and I to enjoy some time in the giant spa jacuzzi when everyone left. The bedroom also had a big full length mirror which was essential. The only downside was that I paid $2/room to have gift bags delivered and they didn't do it until I had called numerous times. They ended up bringing them after people checked in as opposed to them being there waiting.
A really wonderful venue. Staff were extremely helpful and worked with us. Jim and Jessica were especially accommodating. Would definitely recommend to other couples.
