Hotel Petaluma

Jen Redfearn was great. I loved working with her. She always responded in a timely manner and helped me so much. The hotel is also in a great location and has a beautiful lobby and ballroom. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if there is another person assigned to room blocks or what the situation was at this hotel, but there were multiple roadblocks in our experience. It was hard to get a hold of anyone in the hotel initially because front desk agents said they couldn't help me with a room block, would take a message, and then would never get a call back. There wasn't a single one that took initiative to help even if it was not their role. I work in hotels, started as a front desk agent myself, and I can't understand what was keeping the staff from going out of their way (?) to help. Sadly, even though I had confirmed over the phone and via email that I was going to be staying at the hotel, we were assigned the smallest room (after requesting the largest available with no objection to cost). All our other guests had a nice room, but somehow us as bride and groom got a tiny bed in a room the size of a closet. When we tried to change it at the desk upon check in, the agent said there was nothing else available for us. This turned out to not be true as other guests arrived after us and had much larger rooms. Huge disappointment that really brought a sour end to our special day sadly. There's clearly a lack in communication throughout the team and priorities need to be updated or discussed as a team.
