Unfortunately, our experience with Hotel Phillips for our wedding weekend was disappointing and far more stressful than it should have been.

ded a shuttle service, which we were never informed was no longer available. While the hotel did step in and hire a shuttle for guests to get to the venue, we were still left scrambling to get the bridal party to the venue the morning of and ensure all guests had a way back afterward. This added unnecessary stress during an already busy weekend.
When I checked in, the room I had specifically booked was available but had a broken faucet. The front desk offered a bar/dining credit if I stayed in that room, which wasn’t useful to us as we had no intention of using those amenities during the weekend. They then offered me a “larger” room at the same rate, however, the room ended up being very small, smelled like sewer, and was half the size of the rooms my bridal party had (despite me paying twice as much). After going back and forth, I was finally moved into a slightly better room, and only on Saturday, my wedding day, was I given the room I had originally booked.
In addition to my experience, several of our guests in the hotel block had serious issues with their rooms, including blood on sheets, ripped linens, terrible odors, and even electrical problems. In one case, a guest was handed new sheets and told to change them themselves, with no offer of assistance or apology. That level of service is unacceptable and far from what you’d expect from a Hilton-branded property.
While the lobby is beautiful and the building historic, the condition of the guest rooms and hallways is shockingly run down. The shower design in particular is a safety hazard, as the doors don’t contain the water properly, causing major puddles on the floor.
We chose this hotel hoping for a memorable and comfortable experience for us and our guests, but what we got instead was a weekend full of preventable stress. This hotel does not live up to Hilton standards and I hope they take these concerns seriously to improve the experience for future guests.

t. The Hotel Phillips was a huge let-down. Not only did the wedding planner leave the weekend of the wedding (this, of course, after they switched planners on me twice) and left me in the hands of the hotel's extremely unprofessional staff that did not care one ounce that they were there to serve a wedding. There was shouting during the ceremony, a complete disregard for any of our contractual requests, and multiple lost items by the end of the night including my florists many vases. The hotel did nothing to turn over the honeymoon suite so my new husband and I finished our evening only to find a huge mess in the room that was (again, written on the contract) supposed to have been cleaned up - much like you would see a normal hotel room cleaned up during the day for normal guests. A complete disappointment.

e or mold, decided it was mold when the first morning there we pulled back the shower curtain which was disgusting smelling. the reason was that the shower filled up with water to our ankles when we took showers, causing the shower curtain to become saturated and then left to mold. I called housekeeping who came to the door and handed me a shower curtain. Additionally, I wish the Hotel Phillips would have told us when we booked the wedding that they were going to be renovating during our stay, leaving no inside access to the restaurant and bar. Hands down the most money I've ever spent on a hotel with the absolute worst returns. The ONLY positive was the valet service, all of the valet parkers were efficient, hard-working, fast and super nice. Otherwise I'd advise staying away from the Hotel Phillips.

A truly stunning venue. The staff were friendly and efficient and for all that we had (wedding, cocktail hour, reception, dancing, and brunch the next morning) the price was exceptional. I have no doubt our guests thought we spent far more than we did!

had a slight issue with our car being returned from the valet with a foot-long scratch. The hotel was very courteous in helping us resolve the issue, and even sent us a fruit basket. Their insurance is paying for the repairs and it wasn't a fight at all. We will definitely be staying at the Phillips again.

The price was fair (~$125/night) and the rooms were very nice. They allowed for welcome bags to be picked up by the guests as they checked in. Our point person also helped us arrange a car to pick us up from the reception site to be brought back to our hotel (~$80). Beautiful setting and friendly staff!
