a beautiful outdoor ceremony/cocktail hour area for our spring wedding, a rooftop reception space that overlooks our favorite city, and multiple indoor spaces in case we needed a backup plan for rain. For someone who is an over thinker, I couldn’t have imagined a better scenario! And that’s just the site alone.
If you have been to the ZuZu at the Valley Ho, you know the food is incredible, but I’m here to tell you that translates to their event catering as well. Our guests told us over and over that it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. From cocktail hour passed apps to the dinner itself, the food quality was delicious, consistent, and HOT. The short rib is my personal fave.
We had about 40 family members and friends stay on site for the wedding weekend, and we all had a blast. The hotel rooms themselves were awesome, super comfortable, clean, and our large honeymoon suite made for the perfect getting ready space for me and my girls. We have had family members come back to town and stay at HVH since our wedding because they loved it so much!
The team at the Valley Ho seriously felt like family. Our venue coordinator, Ari, and her team were incredible to work with. All aspects of booking the wedding itself were clearly laid out and we weren’t surprised by any hidden fees or weirdness when wedding weekend came. They were also just genuinely fun to work with. Ari answered every single (sometimes insane) question I would ask and never made me feel like I was insane for asking. You can tell that Ari and everyone on the HVH team cares about their couples and are just as invested in your event as you are. The day after our wedding, we booked a few cabanas at the pool to relax with our guests, and when we got down there Sunday morning, we realized HVH had moved our florals from the night before to the pool cabanas so we could continue enjoying them. My husband and I still talk about how that was such a nice, unnecessary touch that showed how much they truly care about their couples. The entire team at Hotel Valley Ho went above and beyond to make sure our wedding was perfect, that our friends and family were taken care of, and that my husband and I didn’t have a single worry the entire weekend.
Booking the Valley Ho was the best decision we made in the wedding planning process. Knowing we had a venue with beautiful spaces and amazing food is one thing, but we were able to be fully present and enjoy every moment of our weekend because of the team behind the scenes.

lace for us. The mid-century modern design is gorgeous, the energy is fun and welcoming, and the whole space just feels special. It’s stylish without being stuffy, and every corner of the hotel is so well thought out!
The planning process was smooth and stress-free, which I know is rare when it comes to weddings. The team was always organized and on top of things, and we felt supported the entire way through. A huge shoutout to Ari Camarena, who was truly the best!! Ari made us feel like our day really mattered and helped us feel calm, excited, and totally prepared.
On the actual wedding day, everything went perfectly. The staff was incredibly attentive and kind, not just to us but to all of our guests. So many people came up to us and said how welcome and cared for they felt throughout the night. That meant the world to us!
And the food! I cannot stop talking about the food. It was one of the biggest highlights of the day, and our guests agreed. People are still texting us saying it was the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding. Every single dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully served. It felt like we were at a top-tier restaurant!
The hotel itself is amazing. It’s beautiful for photos, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and our guests loved being able to stay at the venue. There’s a really cool, relaxed vibe that just adds to the magic of the day.
You can tell that Hotel Valley Ho takes pride in their weddings. They really care, and it shows in every detail. I recommend this venue to anyone looking for a beautiful, fun, and unforgettable place to get married in Arizona. We also had 20 rooms booked for our guests, and having everyone stay on-site made the weekend feel like a full-on celebration. From the beautiful rooms to the poolside vibes, our guests couldn’t stop talking about how amazing the hotel was.
Ari and Maryann were an absolute dream to work with. They made the planning process smooth and enjoyable, and they took care of every little detail so we could just focus on enjoying the moment. Their support meant the world to us.
It was worth every penny. Even my husband, who was initially nervous about the cost, said he’d do it all again in a heartbeat. We’re still on a high from how perfect everything turned out, and we can’t recommend Hotel Valley Ho enough for weddings or any special event. If you're thinking about it — do it!

of the hotel have such an amazing, mid-century-modern, Palm Springs type vibe that immediately brightens you up as you walk through the door. We knew that it is an experience we wanted to share with our family and friends.
Booking our wedding at this hotel gave us the great privilege of working with the hotel’s amazing staff, including Erin Adney. Her title is Catering Sales Manager but what we quickly realized is that she goes above and beyond this title, taking care of us from start to finish. Erin was always there for us, whether it be about vendor recommendations, ceremony/reception set up, décor, timeline ideas and details that we would never have thought of on our own. She is helpful, communicative, patient, highly knowledgeable and every time we visited the hotel (probably 4-5 times prior to our wedding) ourselves and our family received the ultimate treatment. We were so fortunate to have Erin by our side.
We were able to book a beautiful suite looking out at Camelback, which served as the perfect home base for the day of getting ready and night of the wedding. When it came to the actual wedding day weekend, the staff made it that much more special. The wedding ceremony and reception flowed seamlessly, all thanks to Erin and the Hotel Valley Ho team. The catering staff and lead of the team executed a flawless dinner service and treated us and our guests like royalty.
As we recollected our special weekend, we cannot express how impressed we were with the Hotel Valley Ho. This hotel and the people we had the opportunity to work with will forever hold a special place in our heart. Cannot recommend it enough as a wedding venue or even just a weekend getaway.

Their event coordinator Allison Chapin is amazing - she was there for us every step of the way to answer questions and really went the extra mile helping us. She provided great advice and recommendations - and she and her team were so supportive during our wedding weekend. Helping with everything from setting up decor so we didn't have to worry about it to even helping bustle my dress. Allison is the best!
We had a lot of family traveling from out of town for our wedding who stayed at Hotel Valley Ho and they absolutely loved it. It was so much fun to have our closest friends and family together for our wedding weekend and we had a blast hanging out at the pool, bar/restaurant, etc. The Hotel Valley Ho rooftop was such a picturesque backdrop and had the most stunning views of Scottsdale and Camelback Mountain. The Sands was such a fun reception space, too, on-site!
Highly recommend Hotel Valley Ho for your wedding - you won't regret it!

es continue to change, they collaborate on several celebration scenarios. I am pleased to say they are team players and ideal event coordinators with the ability to quickly comprehend difficult tasks. They readily accept responsibility to find solutions with little oversight or direction.
The entire Hotel Valley Ho team, specifically Abby, Dayna, Amber, Rachel and Evaanna are innovative self-starters. They are punctual and exceed expectations and handle pressure well.

We visited two other sites in addition to Hotel Valley Ho and all three (miraculously) had her wedding date available. As soon as I met Jamie Jones I began to relax. I could feel the stress melt off my body. I knew everything was going to be fine, no GREAT. And it was!! Not only did I love the venue, the offerings but Jamie made us feel totally relaxed, knowing that she would take care of just about everything. We gave her our ballpark figure for a budget and I cannot believe how spot on it turned out. Jamie responded to texts, emails and calls in a very timely manner. She is a great listener, very knowledgeable, accommodating, flexible, pays attention to details and genuine. Jamie is very creative and offered some fantastic suggestions to help us get exactly what we wanted. She truly cares about you and making your day special. I cannot say enough about Jamie Jones, the staff and the services at the Hotel Valley Ho. I recommend this place HIGHLY!!!

Jamie Jones was our staffer from the very beginning of meeting with the hotel, all the way up until the very night and she was so dialed in to every single detail. Her positivity, willingness to help (she even helped bustle my dress!!!) and hard work did not go unnoticed. Our main goal for our wedding was to a) be present, enjoy and remember every single moment of the day b) eat our dinner c) show our guests the best weekend in Scottsdale especially since so many were from out of town. We 100% felt like we achieved that and with thanks to to many wonderful employees at the hotel, we had a seamless and amazing day with our friends and family.

When we couldn’t decide between plated and buffet for the meal, they set up another tasting for us and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with all the decisions.
As for the event, it couldn’t have been more perfect or stress free! Jamie had everything running smoothly and everyone staffed at our event was more than helpful! Shoutout to Kaleb the bartender!!!
All of our guests has been raving that it was the best wedding they ever went to, and the rooftop couldn’t be a more beautiful setting.

She provided tons of recommendations for our other vendors which we were happy to capitalize on, and it left us with a team that has worked on numerous weddings together in the past. tury desert experience, and it would not have been possible without the amazing staff at the hotel. Everything from the pool party on Friday to breakfast on Sunday was perfect, and everyone was so nice and gracious to all of our guests. The food was to die for, several of our guests commented that they’ve never had such delicious food at a wedding. Allison was great to work with and so nice throughout the whole process. Overall everyone made us feel so special and gave us a PERFECT wedding day.

I was recently at the Valley Ho to look at space for an upcoming Event Project, and get a quote for the meeting space for 250 guests. I drove all the way out there, called before, ...
showed up and no one there helped to show me the rooms, they were super rude and snobby. They would not give me a quote, and refused to help me. I was SUPER shocked that they were so rude.. Look elsewhere there are 100s of amazing venues in Scottsdale.

Valley Ho is definitely the top choice for my special day. I think it's a great option for city-dwellers who want a chic and unique wedding day experience.
With so many venues who do not post their current rates, it was refreshing to find all the information I needed right on their website. Additionally, I found them open to meeting with me and fully willing to accommodate different requests that I had.
If you've never been to Hotel Valley Ho, it's definitely worth checking out!

the catering manager, dawn. Although they have compensated some of the issues, I can not get back the things that were done. I felt things could have gone smoother. Overall, the wedding was a success. My only advice is establish what the catering directors role is with the day of your event, and do not do a consumption bar because you have no way of verifying they are charging you the accurate amount.
