My husband and I's first kiss was at HOB, so it felt right to have our wedding there. They did NOT disappoint. We had about 120 guests, and everyone fit comfortably. The ceremony was in the Voodoo Garden, and the reception was in the Foundation Room. When I tell you we didn't have to buy a single decoration, I mean not even an arch for our vows nor a single flower (other than my bouquet). Everything was decorated so beautifully that it was just enough by it's own self! Everyone complimented how beautiful each location was. The food was also excellent. A guest even called me to see if I knew the salad dressing they used haha. We seriously have zero complaints! Olivia who is part of the HOB team made the experience stressless, and her communication skills were on point. I highly recommend having your wedding here!

The most amazing place to have your wedding! From our first tour to our I Do's they helped us so much and were so reassuring along the way. I am so grateful to have selected them to be not only the location for our ceremony but also our reception! All of our guests loved the food, the staff was so kind and attentive! I will be singing their praises till I can't sing anymore!

We got married at the House of Blues on March 25, 2023, and it was nothing short of amazing! We got married in the Voodoo Garden and had our reception in the Parish Room. This place EXCEEDED our expectations! Jeanne and her staff are a god send, absolutely amazing! They were all so helpful and attentive during our wedding day, no detail was missed. Everything from flow of the ceremony and reception, the food, the set up, the design of our spaces, all were top notch. We worked with Jeanne for a year and a half planning the most absolute bad ass wedding, and she was such a pleasure to work with. No request was unmet. She made EVERYTHING happen for us. She definitely went above and beyond for us. They really can turn this venue into the most beautiful and intimate space for a wedding. I HIGHLY recommend this venue and it's staff for a wedding, or any party or gathering. I promise you, they will not disappoint. I wish we could do it all over again!

My wife and I recently got married in New Orleans, a destination wedding for ourselves and all of our guests. The venue we chose was the House of Blues and we couldn’t be happier with our decision.
When we were first looking for venues in NOLA we wanted to go with some place in the French Quarter that was unique, fun, had a space large enough for up to 100 guests, had a great in-house chef, and was affordable. We ended up finding HOB on multiple wedding sites with great reviews.
We reached out to get some more information and spoke with Britt, the sales coordinator there. Britt was really helpful in answering our questions and quickly responding to emails. She setup an initial invoice that covered some of the basic things we wanted, helped us select from the various space available for our ceremony and reception, and was helpful with helping us locate other vendors.
We ended up booking the Voodoo Garden for our ceremony and the Parish Room for our reception. From that point Jeanne took over helping us organize the initial plans of our event. Since we were doing everything from the other side of the country, we needed lots of assistance from HOB staff, and Jeanne was happy to take that role. She FaceTimed with us to walk us through our space and get a rough idea of how we would lay out seating, which centerpieces we would use, tablecloths, and more.
A few months before the wedding we made a trip out to New Orleans to meet with some of our vendors, and we also met with Allie the Sales Manager while we were there. Allie was incredibly accommodating for us, and we left that meeting feeling great about our upcoming nuptials!
We continued to speak with Allie to coordinate things in the months leading up to the wedding. We also started corresponding with Jen who was the Logistics Coordinator for our wedding. Jen helped us setup a timetable for the event. She went above-and-beyond for us, coordinating the event with us late one evening on a 2 hour phone call.
A few hours before the wedding many of our guests showed up to the HOB to take photos with us and the photographer. The Voodoo Garden wasn’t totally ready (because we were like 2 hours early!) but the staff at HOB thought quickly and ushered us up into the Foundation Room to take photos. This turned out to be a great move. We got some super cool pictures up there and our friends and family were able to buy some drinks at the bar.
We had such a great wedding at the House of Blues, and we definitely want to thank our wait staff for that. Stephanie, who took care of me and the bride, was awesome, but the rest of the crew, including Sarah, Efrain, and Brianna were great as well. Our guests were happy and satisfied. The bartenders Jennifer and Stephanie kept the drinks flowing all night. They were quick and responsive, which is always awesome but rarely happens when you have an open bar. All of our guests were really happy with the bartenders, so Jennifer and Stephanie thank you guys!
We also want to send a big shoutout to the main chef Brad who cooked us some delicious food. Brad also made as an exquisite beignet super tower, which we know was a tough request, but he nailed it for us. Thanks chef!
Overall the House of Blues crushed it for us. We had such a great wedding and their staff really deserves so much of the credit. They made it so easy for us. Thanks again to the team there at HOB, we’re looking forward to seeing you again next time we’re down in the Crescent City!

House of Blues exceeded all of our expectations for our wedding on 3/3/18. We originally looked at 5 venues in downtown, and all of them felt so typical and predictable to us. I didn't want rustic, modern, frou frou, or anything all that normal for our untraditional wedding. I went back to the drawing board and contacted House of Blues, who I originally thought was well over our budget but ended up being right where we wanted to be. We had our ceremony in the VooDoo Gardens courtyard and the reception for 90 people in The Parish room. Everything was so beautiful, yet funky and intimate just like we wanted. My guests were so excited to be at this venue, and they still rave about the French Fry Bar we had (their chef is the coolest). The food, décor, and bar were excellent. If I could do it all over again, I'd still do the same thing 100 times over. Allie S. in Sales was a godsend to us. She is truly the reason we pulled the trigger on booking here. She answered every single question and was always available for me. We are thankful to have crossed paths with her. Jen B. was our logistics coordinator who truly made the perfect wedding night become a reality for us. She met with us plenty times before and after the wedding (to pick up items) and never made us feel like we were inconveniencing her. My husband and I just had a conversation last night how we felt like the quality exceeded the value; we didn't spend a fortune, but our wedding was reflective of every of high dollar wedding we've gone to in the past. Thank you to everyone at HOB who played a part in making our big day our best day!

If I could use 10 stars we would. Sept 30, 2017 was a day to remember we had our wedding in the voodoo Garden and the reception in the Parish Room. Jeanne, Jen ,Kelly and the rest of the staff at HOB made our Dream wedding happen. From the moment we booked with Jeanne over a year before up till we drove away on our PediBike. Food, drinks and servers where the best. this trip was the first time most of our family had went to New Orleans and it's a trip they will never forget due to the perfect wedding. Thank you so much.

We had our ceremony and reception at the House of Blues and it was absolutely amazing! Kelly and Britt (along with the rest of the staff) were so easy to work with and accommodating. From the initial planning meeting to the day of our wedding, they made sure every detail was taken care of and we could not thank them enough for all that they did to make our day so special. We would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking to have a fun New Orleans wedding!!

I cannot say enough about the staff at the House of Blues. We held our wedding here on April 2nd and my friends and family have not stopped raving. I can honestly say everything went PERFECTLY.
The Venue
We had the ceremony in the Voodoo Garden, followed by a Second Line around that side of the Quarter, and then a reception in the Parrish. The tent in the Voodoo Garden stays up year-round, which honestly was a relief; knowing that we had a built-in rain plan. In the Spring and Summer it's a clear tent, so we still very much felt outside. They drape the tent to cover the poles, if those bother you. The atmosphere in there was so perfect. It's a quintessential New Orleans courtyard and was exactly what I was looking for. The Parrish is the smaller of their two indoor venues and holds up to 250 people. We had around 90 in there with tables and chairs and it was great. We still had plenty of room to dance. If you are looking for something "bridal" this probably isn't the place. It's funky and wooden and vintage. It was exactly the look we were going for and as a bonus, you don't have to buy or rent a bunch of furniture or decorations to fill it!
The Food
Holy cow! The food was excellent. When you have guests traveling from all over, some of whom have never been to New Orleans, you want to treat them to a meal indicative of the city, and I feel like we had the perfect New Orleans meal. Raw Oysters, Crab Cakes, Shrimp and Andouille on Grit Cakes, Crawfish Monica, and Baked Fish were all standouts. Their catering menu is extensive and they are completely patient and willing to work with you to make it work within your budget.
The Staff
Kari, Britt, and Kelly were all amazing throughout the entire process. From our first tour I felt confident and knew they would be able to help me, an out-of-town bride who couldn't just drop in any time, to plan and execute the whole thing. Honestly, I have no idea how I would have been able to do it if we picked one of the other four places we looked at. They really do take care of EVERYTHING here. They even helped with things that we outside my contract with them like choosing a brass band and dj. Britt and Kelly were a calming force for me day-of. I never felt stressed or hurried.
The Value
When we were first touring venues, HOB was at the absolute top of our price point. When we took a look at what's included compared to other venues it was no contest. The higher price point was more than worth the peace of mind of knowing that they take care of everything from tables and linens to the food and bar and coordinating deliveries from vendors. It was seriously the difference between having to hire a coordinator and not.
Again, I can't rave enough about our experience. It was seriously the best day ever and I'm forever grateful to the team at HOB for making it happen!

It was an absolute pleasure working with Jeanne and Kelly! We had our wedding ceremony in the Voodoo Garden and the reception in the Foundation Room. Although the wedding ceremony was outdoors...in June, Kelly set up a fan at the altar so I would have a nice breeze during the actual ceremony. Words cannot express how lovely the Foundation Room looked during the reception. Kelly did a phenomenal job decorating the venue with candles and our personalized wedding favors(elegant and intimate just like we wanted). Kelly and the staff did an amazing job keeping the wedding on schedule, while making sure that my husband and I had everything we needed. Special thank you to Jeanne for going the extra mile and making sure that our cake stand was returned to the bakery. Thank you to the entire House of Blues staff for making our destination wedding the BEST DAY EVER!!! P.S- the food was AMAZING our guests are still talking about how delicious the food was!!

We used the House of Blues for both the ceremony and reception venue for the "cool atmosphere" and to spare any additional travel time for all of our out of town guests.
The wedding was absolutely amazing, even considering a Hurricane was forcasted to make landfall that same afternoon. Chole and Cali (event coordinators) were very perpared with a Plan B once the news of Hurricane Karen was announced. Several last minute changes were made to keep our guests dry, but kept the vision of our wedding in sight. Not one of our guests realized the quick changes that were made and everyone really enjoyed themselves. We have been married for nearly three weeks now and we still get phone calls, emails, and text messages about how much fun our wedding was, how delicious the food was, and how great the venue was for a couple like us.
Great Job!!

The House of Blues was amazing!!
Chloe Tassin and her staff, especially Cali, were absolutely fantastic. They are prompt at communicating, very thorough and very detail oriented.
We had our reception in the Parish Room with around 115 guests and it was perfect. The food was great, and Cali was overseeing everything to make sure it went off without a hitch, which it did.
I can't say enough about how helpful Chloe and Cali were. They really took care of everything! It was wonderful not to have added stress about decorating the venue, coordinating etc. They did truly an amazing job.
Everyone had a blast at the reception and the House of Blues in New Orleans was the perfect place. We loved it! Thank you HOB!

I am not sure where to start - so many good things to say! I had read only great reviews for House of Blues, so I felt like if I chose it, I would be in great hands. Chloe and Cali did not disappoint whatsoever. We looked at other venues and for the location, good food and price, it was a no brainer. We didn't have to worry about transportation for our guests since it was in walking distance of the hotel room blocks we reserved. The food was AMAZING - seriously, each item was delicious, and the location itself was perfect. We got married in the Voodoo Garden which was transformed into a sweet garden (Fat Cat Flowers designed and executed and unbelievable floral hanging thing to mask a tent pole). The Parish Room was perfect for the number of guests we had (115), although it would have been great still if we had more guests. My biggest concern was the tables to guest ratio, but the vibe was much more social. People were up and talking and doing less sitting, which created a more fun atmosphere and less formal. We had a number of guests comment that they enjoyed that atmosphere vs. having assigned seats and feeling a little trapped. I was thrilled to hear that and see that as well.
What Cali and Chloe did for us was nothing short of spectacular. They just know their job and they do it so well. I didn't worry beforehand - I really didn't. The only thing I worried about was if the flow of the wedding and reception would go well, but there's only so much of that you can control and I reminded myself of that. Chloe and Cali listened to every detail, allayed any fears and responded to all of my detailed questions with patience and grace. And they know how to keep the flow going well. It was seamless. I could go on and on. I keep saying to friends and family that I don't know how it could have been any better. It was more than I expected. It was great food, fun dancing (DJ Troy Stumpf was great! Played all the music I requested), and a great yet somewhat intimate atmosphere. I got to spend time with all the guests for the most part which is rare for a bride, I think. We also had a second line band lead us to the reception and it was worth every penny. It turned was a great transition from the wedding to a fun reception! Our guests loved it.
Thank you, thank you HOB - you made it such a great event. My husband loved it and he is a tough judge of these things. We are incredibly happy with the result.

From the time I walked into the House of Blues for my ceremony, Chloe, Cali, Kelly and the House of Blues team took care of me and my bridal party. I never had to ask for anything. I never had to worry that something wasn't being taken care of.
The ceremony went beautifully and the reception was more than I could have ever asked for. It was everything I had hoped it would be and more. My guests were blown away by the atmosphere, the service, and the food. Guests commented that they had "never seen a bride have so much fun" and the the food was the "best wedding food ever".
I couldn't be happier!

House Of Blues A+++++
Our ceremony took place in the Voodoo Garden at the House of Blues. And the reception was upstairs in the Parish room.
Cali, the coordinator from the HOB was amazing! She was super helpful, very organized and if it wasn’t for her I don’t think the whole day would go without a hitch.
I made my own decorations for the courtyard - aisle runner etc; centerpieces and decorated candle holders. Cali and her stuff decorated the room and the courtyard exactly the way I wanted.
Food was very tasty. My guests still talk about various items from the buffet.
Even though it was a daytime wedding, the reception room which is pretty dark, made it feel like late at night.

Hello! This is Chloe Tassin of the House of Blues New Orleans. I wanted to share some reviews I have received from my very special brides, grooms, and parents of the brides and grooms. Their happiness is so rewarding to me! Enjoy!

I cannot emphasize enough how efficient the event coordinator, Chloe, and her staff at the House of Blues was prior to and at the time of my daughter's wedding reception. Chloe had wonderful ideas that made the event even more memorable, and she certainly helped to make the planning almost stress free!
Natalie Newman – Wedding date: 05.21.11
Chloe at the House of Blues is AMAZING!!! I did not have a wedding planner, but Chloe made it so easy. She is a perfectionist & everything exceeded our expectations. I had my reception at the Parish Room & Big Mama's House at the HOB and it was great! People are still calling saying it was the best wedding they've been to (and one of the best nights they've had, in general),and they LOVED the House of Blues. If you want a venue that is unique, lively, great staff, great food, professional sound system for a band, and a coordinator who will make sure all your ideas and dreams come true (I promise Chloe will!) then the HOB is your place!
Chris Deville - Wedding date: 04.16.11
During our wedding planning phase, my wife (then bride to be) and I visited the HOB venue and we knew it was for us. We absolutely stopped looking for other reception venues. The energy and vibe at HOB New Orleans is incredible and so, so cool. The staff was fantastic, the food was awesome and you can not find a better place to have a live band. I think our reception band even gave us a lower price because they wanted to play at HOB. Almost to a person, our guests all told us ours was the BEST wedding they had ever been to! Special thanks to our HOB coordinator, Chloe Tassin, for helping to make our day so amazing.
Kristen and Robbie Williamson – 03.12.11
House of Blues was an excellent choice for us, and one I am glad we made! It may not seem like a conventional choice, but everything was amazing.
We had our ceremony in the Voodoo Garden, and it was beautiful with an accent of funky. Also, it ended up being more secluded than I anticipated... I had expected random people walking in on our service, but I sure didn't notice any.
The reception was in The Parish, and the room looked great! The food was amazing, and we were given some leftovers; which was great since we didn't have much time to eat! Everyone had fun, and we received many complements.
The planning process was low stress, as Chloe, the Special Event Sales Manager, is great to work with. She was quick to respond, and helped us with everything.I highly recommend House of Blues for any event, and we would do it all over in a heart beat!
Mae Gordon – Wedding date: 10.31.10
If you are looking for a beautiful venue to hold a wedding without the drama and where you know every penny you spend will be well spent, then the HOB is the place!!!! I don't have the words to describe how unbelievable the staff is. Chloe is the perfect mix of professionalism and down to earth. Her team makes you feel like you are part of their family and they know how to throw a party!!!! The venue is unlike anything you will see or experience ANYWHERE else. The pictures don't do it justice. People are still talking about my wedding today (8 months later). Everyone, I mean EVERYONE, was wonderful. We had the

I was a little leery of using House of Blues for my reception, but I must say they turned out to be the best part of my wedding! No muss, no fuss, I asked for it and it was done. My parents showed up an hour early...no problem, Chloe gave them a little room to sit in while the last of the tables were set up. My IPOD got left in the room (with our dinner music), no problem, they had someone put one some nice blues in the background (AND asked me if I wanted it changed to something else rock, classical, whatever I wanted). The food was fantastic, the decor was wonderful, and BEST OF ALL the people working there were so honestly joyful and helpful that I couldn't help but like them and invite them to join us up on Bourbon Street! I'd use this vendor again for ANY party I threw.

After visiting several other venues in town we decided on the House of Blues. Our contacts, Chloe and Kelly, were really what made the decision easy. We don't live in New Orleans, so it was super helpful to have people working for you on the details. They worked hard to get us the best deals through their contacts. They really made the process mostly sweat free. The Venue is fantastic! The food was amazing too. Many guests commented that it was the party to end all parties and better than other weddings they had been to in the past. That's just what we wanted to hear. If you're looking for a fun atmosphere to celebrate your wedding, look no further. We also had our ceremony there too was perfect and the setting was beautiful. Logistically speaking, it couldn't have been better. Plus, my guests had a great time exploring the French Quarter. If you're more interested in throwing your guests a great party in honor of your wedding, look no further! You'll be glad you did.

We had our ceremony at the House of Blues Parish Room. We were looking for something a little offbeat but would still be comfortable for our older family members. They were able to do just that. Chloe & Kelly handled every detail for us. I was not stressed at all because I knew everything was handled. Highly recommend this room.
