At the time, we were actually very close to signing with another local ballroom venue because there are so many beautiful options in the area.. Then one of my close friends who had recently gotten married told me something I’ll never forget: “You’ll know it’s the right venue the moment you walk in and realize you can’t imagine getting married or having your reception anywhere else..” I didn’t fully appreciate what they meant until we saw a brochure from a local sister-site venue..  that had prompted us to visit Hudson House for the first time.. Driving up to the area, called “Port Liberte” feels like discovering a hidden gem of Jersey City secretly tucked away. When we visited, we luckily met Gabe, and he graciously took the time to let us see the property, and from that moment on, everything changed.  Walking inside the 4th floor and overlooking the grand ballroom and seeing the Manhattan skyline in the distance honestly felt surreal. The skyline somehow felt perfectly positioned, it was close enough to feel cinematic and breathtaking, yet far enough away to fully appreciate the view, with the statue of liberty beautifully visible across the water in the distance. The venue itself is stunning.. modern, elegant, upscale, and thoughtfully designed. The chandeliers genuinely look like stars suspended in the night sky, and every space somehow feels both grand and intimate at the same time. The “Stork” club upstairs gave us some of our favorite photos from the entire wedding day. What truly separates this venue though is the people behind it. Gabe was phenomenal throughout the entire process.. responsive, accommodating, incredibly professional, reassuring, all while still feeling warm and approachable. Kait and Elena were equally wonderful and made everything feel seamless. They made our guests feel accommodated for, especially during our rehearsal dinner the night prior. Our bridal attendant on the day of, Amaya, was amazing and anticipated things before we even had to ask. The level of service throughout the wedding weekend was truly exceptional. The food was outstanding from beginning to end. Even the food tasting was such a fun event! We also appreciated how accommodating they were with different dietary preferences too. We discovered our entertainment team too by chance while dining at the first floor Felina Steak.. and met with our photobooth owner, Fernando, during the food tasting event, who was also incredibly accommodating.  Weeks later, our guests are still talking about the venue, the atmosphere, food, catering, and how beautiful the entire evening felt. We’re so happy we chose Hudson House as it ended up being one of the best decisions we made during wedding planning, and we’re incredibly grateful to Gabe and the entire team for helping bring our vision to life so perfectly. The night was such a beautiful memory that I hope to never forget.

She not only met my expectations, she exceeded them in every way possible. She understood my vision from the very beginning and made sure every single detail was executed exactly how I envisioned it. On top of that, she was so warm and welcoming to my friends and family, it truly felt like we were working with someone who genuinely cared. I always felt like I was in the best hands with her. Carola, my Maître D’, was an absolute angel. From the moment we walked into the venue, she made sure that not just me, but my entire bridal party, was taken care of every second. She never left my side. She checked on me constantly, made sure I had everything I needed before I even had to ask, and handled everything going on around me so effortlessly. At one point, I genuinely felt like she was part of my family, that’s how present, attentive, and caring she was. And trust me… we were not an easy group that day. She handled it all with grace. And my bridal attendant, Amaya… I don’t even have the words. She was there for me in every single moment. I never had to look for her—not once. She anticipated everything I needed before I even realized it myself. When I was overwhelmed and on the verge of an anxiety attack in the bathroom, she was right there calming me down. She spent 45 minutes bustling my extremely difficult dress without a single complaint. She supported me, reassured me, and carried such a peaceful, grounding energy the entire day. She has the most calming, angelic presence, and I will truly never forget her. Hudson House didn’t just give me a beautiful wedding, they gave me the wedding of the year. Every single detail, every person, every moment was handled with so much care and intention. I am beyond grateful that I chose them.   On the day of the wedding, Gabe and Kait went above and beyond. They decorated the venue with everything I provided exactly how I envisioned it! Every detail was perfect and executed flawlessly. They truly brought my vision to life without me having to worry about a single thing. They also allowed my wedding party and family to come to the venue two hours before reception started for photos and supplied beer and wine and cheese boards for us all to snack on in the bridal and grooms suite.   Gabe and Kait along with the whole team at Hudson House did so much behind the scenes to make sure the day ran smoothly, and because of them, everything felt effortless and stress-free. The food was absolutely amazing and the venue itself is stunning. If you’re considering Hudson House, do yourself a favor and book it. Gabe and Kait were amazing to work with and I’m so grateful for everything they did to make our wedding day perfect.

When we met Elena, our wedding venue coordinator, she was very warm and welcoming. She listened to all our wants and needs and met them beyond our expectations. Elena made our wedding the most perfect day. She is very professional, helpful, and attentive. Our guests enjoyed the delicious food, drinks, and view of the NYC skyline all night. So many of our guests appreciated the entire staff for being attentive to them and making sure that they had enough food and drinks. Make sure to have your afterparty at the Stork Rooftop, you will not be disappointed! The party kept going all night long. Do not hesitate to book this venue for your wedding!

From the moment we showed up on our wedding day they were there to help us and throughout the whole day the staff was so helpful and kind ❤️ prior to the wedding we worked closely with Elena and she was so available always answering all questions. She made she they did everything to make our wedding the wedding of our dreams. I cannot say enough good things about Hudson house - they threw me the wedding of my dreams. I would absolutely recommend Hudson house as a wedding venue to anyone !

Plus there is a mezzanine, so cool! We knew immediately this would be our venue!! The event coordinator that took us around was Kira, and she definitely helped us decide this would be our venue! The package Hudson House gave us was amazing, with so much food stations during cocktail hours, and the price was fair! Food was very important too! Also, Hudson House's price included all the food and table and chair, we don't have to worry about any food catering or renting furniture (like some of the event space for wedding), and that was very important to us! Matthew took over as our event coordinator, and he was also awesome to work with! We sent him so many emails every time we thought of something we needed to ask, and he always respond very fast. The final meeting before the wedding was also very thorough, going over all the details and timing for the wedding. The day of the wedding went so smoothly! All the staff at Hudson House were super friendly and helpful! All the food was amazing!! So many guests told us how much they loved the food! And how pretty the venue was! We love Hudson House! And all the staff were amazing! Our wedding couldn't have been a success without all of them!

with Gabriel for the first time, we were immediately wow-ed by Hudson House's exceptional facility - the floor to ceiling windows, the black + white ambience throughout, the clean cut, modern feeling - everything we wanted and more. The view itself is priceless - the NYC skyline, the Statue of Liberty, and literally being RIGHT on the water. From our initial meeting, Gabriel truly heard us and our vision and made us feel so comfortable with our decision to book at Hudson House. With my husband being a sales manager, he hated a lot of venues we toured due to the 'salesy' feeling the coordinators would give -- never once did Gabriel give us that feeling - he actually cared about us and our wedding, which is SO hard to find in the industry today. We signed the contract within 48 hours of our tour! As we are in CT, I was nervous to shop around NJ for vendors without knowing the area, but Hudson House immediately provided their top vendors and offered assistance throughout the process. I truly can say everything went seamlessly, from initial planning to final walkthroughs to the day of. The tasting was such a great experience, along with our final walkthrough. Every time we left HH, we felt the same confidence in our choice of venue + never once had questions that were left unanswered. My husband's one request was a big dance floor - and Gabriel assured him we would have plenty of room - he helped configure the best seating arrangements to make ample room for dancing - just another way of going above and beyond for us! We were in New Jersey one day, so we stopped by to see the venue again, and Gabriel immediately greeted us and brought us to the Stork Club for drinks and time to look at that picture perfect view of the Hudson + Statue of Liberty. The big day came, and with me being a control freak, I truly had zero fear that anything would go wrong that day -- the weather was a bit tricky as it was rainy on and off with some wind, and Gabriel coordinated with my planner to make the right decision -- as much as I wanted the view with the outdoor ceremony, he was very transparent about the wet grounds + wind I would have to deal with. We moved the ceremony inside, and the word seamless does not even begin to describe how great the team worked together to accommodate this last minute change -- no guests even knew the ceremony was originally going to be outside! Gabriel was around all day for us, checking in + making sure everything was up to par. The Landmark team knows exactly how to host a beautiful wedding, without any flaws or stressful moments for the bride and groom! Some of my favorite things to note: - The views from Hudson House even on a rainy/foggy day are still BEAUTIFUL - don't let the chance of weather steer you away. Our guests got to enjoy the outdoor deck once the rain passed and it was a perfect photo opportunity for us. - Our guests still talk about our cocktail hour to this day -- having the signature drinks displayed made the whole experience of guests running to grab drinks after the ceremony so much easier - this was a big concern of my husband's as we know how annoying a long bar line is at a wedding. The food stations were displayed SO beautifully, and guests were full before dinner was even served. - Having white glove service + a menu where guests could order on our wedding day vs selecting beforehand was very important for us - and we loved how we got to design the menu with the HH team and make it our own! To this day, I have not heard of one person saying their dish was cold or not good. - The day of coordination by the HH team was amazing - the bridal suite assistance was amazing, along with the team making sure me and my husband ate, and actually had some time to ourselves. - Time flies - so stay together with your husband all night! We made sure to not leave each other's side on the dance floor, or even going to the suite, so we could maximize this special night. The HH team respected this so much too, and made sure we always knew where we each were. - Be sure to take photos in every place you can in Hudson House - we did our first look upstairs in Stork Club, which had such great angles even with the rain outside! Capture the moments you want all around the venue -- even the elevator shots our photographer got are so on par with the ambience of HH! - Smaller things like bathrooms on every level (which were also decorated so beautifully) and valet parking, gave our guests such a great experience -- no bathroom lines, no long walks to your parked car afterwards, etc. With 200+ guests, these were small concerns of ours so it was a great bonus to know Hudson House already thought 4 steps ahead about these things. - Hudson House creates an extensive timeline for your day -- which helped put me at ease knowing the staff knew what time transitions were happening. Not one step was missed! Every girl dreams of her wedding day, and I can truly say that Hudson House far EXCEEDED any dream I had -- I want to relive our day over and over again! The atmosphere of the venue is unmatched and our wedding pictures came out stunning. Nothing beat the view we had all night from the dance floor. We can't wait to go back for our anniversary and enjoy a night out at the restaurant!

visit through our wedding day 14 months later, Gabriel and the Hudson House team continued to blow us away. Here are our top reasons why you should choose Hudson House: Location: The view from both the cocktail hour space and the reception hall is everything. I fell in love with those floor to ceiling rectangular windows overlooking the harbor. Having the ceremony at sunset in November was absolutely stunning. If you want to get married off-season, or have an indoor venue (so you don’t sweat your face off) but still feel nature and the beauty of NYC, this is THE venue for you!! Flexibility: Hudson House made many accommodations to make us and our guests comfortable. The groom’s side was Muslim, so we required halal meat and recipe changes to remove pork and gelatin. Hudson House did that no problem. They also served sparkling cider to non-alcoholic tables and made our signature drinks interchangeable from cocktail to mocktail. Lastly, they made space for guests to pray after sunset. We really appreciated Hudson House’s ability to deviate from the norm, so we could celebrate the joining of our families more easily. Food and Drink: Man, does Hudson House deliver on food and drink! There was so much food at cocktail hour that guests didn’t realize a full dinner was awaiting them in the reception. Taste buds were blown away - the phrase “best wedding food EVER” was uttered multiple times! They happily created our signature cocktail with unique ingredients of sesame oil and sesame seeds. Pro tip: get their add-on taylor ham, egg, and cheese on a roll - guests LOVED leaving with that at the end of the night. Care: Overall, we felt extremely cared for on our wedding day. They provided an attendant to help the bride with whatever she needed at any moment. The bride and groom’s suites were thoughtfully stocked with drinks and light bites. We can’t thank Gabriel and the Hudson House team enough for giving us the gift of a fabulous wedding, and for helping us make memories to last a lifetime!

I know there are other venues with views of the city, but NONE have unobstructed views from every angle/room/balcony like HH does. Our guests were immediately struck by the city skyline and as the sun set the view only got better. Our guests also went on and on about cocktail hour and how delicious and well presented everything was. Drinks were delicious and strong, and the bar looked awesome with our neon sign hung above (HH's idea!). We opted with colorful florals which is less popular at HH and again- check the photos. Color in that room just POPS! If I had to plan my wedding all over again, the FIRST thing I'd do is book Hudson House. Can't recommend it enough.
