I know how much we both care about making wedding day the perfect day for couples. I have so much gratitude for you!

e Hostess, we pride ourselves on the integrity of our work and creating a wonderful wedding day for our couples. Here is some information you may benefit from to better understand your experience regarding day-of coordination. Our coordinators arrive with printed information tailored to the event they are coordinating. Rehearsal coordination print outs often vary from day-of coordination print outs to give us the focus we need for that particular event. We ask that any variation to a traditional rehearsal order is noted so that we can give the proper direction to the wedding party. We provided a rehearsal coordination sheet for your review 8 weeks prior to your event. At rehearsal day, you noted for the first time that you would like both bridesmaids and groomsmen to sit rather than stand which changed the course of rehearsal direction. We understand that brides often change their minds up until the last minute and we were happy to accommodate to your needs and give clear communication to your wedding party and family including additional details such as your broom and lasso that were made aware to me at this time. On wedding day, we moved chairs to reflect your seating chart, placed chargers for 200 guests, placed 74 candles (and lit them after ceremony), setup a 24 person head table to entirety including name cards, and placed name cards at your ceremony site. We also setup your ceremony items, dessert table, organized the bar items and placed beer and champagne on ice, setup the children's play table and setup your welcome table. We used additional centerpieces in various locations to create ambiance throughout the event. Many boxes had no labels or instructions and added to our confusion. The head table was particularly confusing to setup as we found the decorations for the head table in a box labeled "desserts". We were not provided with the proper labels or any photo mockups as requested and did our best to execute your vision. We thought your florals were particularly stunning and that the reception setup was beautiful. Without involving you, we fixed many problems that arose. The large welcome sign was already setup when I arrived, but later fell down in the wind. The sign was damaged during the fall. I moved rocks to stabilize the sign and it remained standing for the entirety of the event. The easel provided for your seating chart was not wind resistant and your seating chart fell over. I provided a large iron easel for your seating chart at no additional cost. Using my own ladder and zip ties, I also fixed the floral chandelier that was setup by another vendor. Our coordinator outfits are purchased to be both professional and functional. Dresses with deep pockets are our go-to choice to be able to hold items necessary for day-of coordination as we are often juggling many items that we need to have readily on hand. We offer a "black tie" option for clients that prefer formal wear. On the day of your wedding, I wore a maroon dress. As clearly stated in our description of coordination services, we do NOT go off-site to pick up supplies, transfer cakes, or move tables and do not assume liability for these items. We received no directions from your baker that was relayed to myself of Jessica. We love to go above and beyond for our clients and we're happy to assist with these on your wedding day. All payments for Humble Hostess are due prior to event date as stated in our contract. In the event we are asked to provide additional services, payment is due at the time service is rendered. We continued to go the extra mile when we navigated the late arrival of your Mariachi band. We had the contact information on hand and we called them multiple times leading up to the ceremony (they did not pick up the phone). I had the DJ cue your song choices that were originally supposed to be played by the Mariachi band so they would be ready to go should they not arrive. I had Jessica (second coordinator that was with me free of charge) wait for the Mariachi in the parking lot. They arrived at 4:17pm. The ceremony was supposed to start at 4:15pm. Jessica rushed them in and we were able to start the ceremony by 4:20pm because of our ability to rush them in. Additionally, we navigated payment of your vendors the day of the event. The payment for the Dip and Dots vendor was not provided for me and the catering payment was $100 short which led me to deal with vendors the day after the event and create additional work for myself that is not provided in our services. With years of experience in the industry, we know that the best vendors are the ones that work well with others. We work diligently to treat every vendor with kindness and respect. Having a DJ that listens to and respects communication with your coordinator is crucial to the success of wedding day. No amount of respectful and effective communication prevails if it falls on deaf ears. We understand that it can be difficult to source high quality vendors and offer free vendor referrals to all existing clients. After checking in with the venue manager about exit time and cleanup policy, 2 of us began cleanup at 9pm. It took 2 of us 4 hours to properly clean the venue and store personal items and decorations. Out of respect for your venues policy, clean up was initiated for your well-being to avoid additional fees. Party favors were moved to the welcome table and we encouraged guests to take party favors when they left which resulted in all party favors being utilized by guests. In consideration of the additional services we provided at no additional cost, management of late vendors, executing setup out of mislabeled boxes, managing a 30-minute power outage, and more, we feel that we worked incredibly hard to give you the best wedding day possible. We pride ourselves on remaining both honest and humble. We understand the pressure that brides feel to have wedding day perfection. We also understand that no matter how hard we work, it is simply not possible to make 100% of people happy 100% of the time. We hope that you are able to look back at your wedding day with fond memories and know that you successfully married your best friend.

I love this job! Weddings are stressful by nature and the weather wasn't helping on this day, but Laura and Eduardo you are both so gracious and kind and your ability to roll with the punches made this one of my favorite weddings to date (and that's saying a lot because I'm in the triple digits now!). What may have lacked in weather was made up for everyone being so fun and awesome!
