Hunsader Farms is a one of a kind venue supported by a professional and helpful family. My husband and I were able to have the flexibility to decide the day of our wedding whether the wedding would be indoors or outdoors depending on the weather. The wedding barn has a perfect atmosphere and is very well kept and clean. Our wedding had about 100 guests that easily fit inside the barn with plenty of room to dance! Overall a great place that did not add any extra stress/issues to our special day. Definitely recommend this venue!!
My daughter had her wedding here and it was beautiful. She was really able to personalize it and Rachel was always available to answer any questions. The guests loved the venue, and had a wonderful time. It was one of the few she looked at that could accommodate over 100 guests and it felt comfortable and roomy.
Hunsader Farms was the perfect venue for our wedding. We were looking for a venue where I could have my two dogs be a part of the ceremony and Hunsader Farms was the perfect place. Rachel, the venue’s planner, was readily available to answer any questions or help with anything we needed. There is much flexibility with decorating and you are even able to set up a day or two before the wedding. Everyone was helpful and welcoming and the photos and video of the farm and venue turned out beautifully.
Went he last year for a friend's wedding and I got to say I was truly impressed. The staff were friendly and helpful. Took time to answer question and address any need that came up. The layout and grounds were beautiful. Wife and I are strongly considering using them to renew our vowels.
It has been a year since our wedding last May, but apparently I didn’t leave a review like I thought I did (at least not here I guess).
Where should I start?! We go to Hunsader pumpkin festival almost every year so when we heard via Facebook that they did weddings we knew we wanted to make it happen! We had been engaged for so long and never really put anything into place or set a date, that is until we had our first tour. We did our tour in January and ended up picking memorial weekend that May. So basically 5 months to pull it off. Rachel was so helpful throughout the whole process and always answered any calls/texts or questions we had. The whole family was very accommodating! We all know weddings aren’t cheap and planning can be very stressful. They allowed us plenty of time for set up and use of their grounds. Unfortunately it being May our plans had to change last minute due to rain. So we didn’t get to use as much of the grounds as we had liked for photos. As for the saloon (barn area) we had no issues with having access to it even on random drop ins throughout the months of planning. In fact the ground had changed so much from our first tour to our random tours throughout the 5 months. There were no issues keeping our guests cool at all. They even went as far as setting up little wooden pathways to keep myself and the groom from getting too muddy. Rachel went above and beyond and set up an area for the groom and his guys to get ready when their place to get ready cancelled last minute. For some of our guests and family that were coming from out of town they opened up their cabins which aren’t even fully done yet, but we’re kind enough to help us out an allow us to stay on site. We enjoyed the pop-ins from Rachel and Blake throughout the wedding as they made sure everything was going how we wanted it to. Our wedding wasn’t over the top or super fancy, it was very diy, but it worked for us. Keep in mind this is a working farm that holds two very big events during the year so if your date is unavailable don’t freak out! Unlike the vendors we did have to work with that were very unpleasant, the Hunsader family was A++! We have recommended their venue to many people and have even had some friends get married there after us.
Brides or anyone else looking to host an event here...DO NOT do so during the summer or warmer months. No matter what they tell you, the AC will not cool down that building during the summer months. The downstairs stays HOT and the upstairs is downright unusable due to the EXTREME heat. If you try and speak to them about this or any other issues they hide behind text messaging and refuse to confront any issues face to face like a true business. This is a family business that has a hard time understanding the business part of that statement. If you don’t believe this, then ask them to show you how “cool” the building can get prior to your event.
