Growing up in Houston, I knew at an early age I thrive in high-stress situations. The people who know me best would say I have thick skin and I'd tell them it's a quality built from my great sense of humor. I started volunteering as a wedding coordinator for Holy Rosary church and shortly realized that not only do I enjoy doing it, but I am proud to be good at it. It was intended as a hobby and I turned it into a profession.
I am someone who works relentlessly and will not sleep until the job is done. I understand that wedding planning can be an incredibly daunting, new, and frightening. This is when my years of expertise will swoop in. With my wide net of connections and collection of vendors to choose from, I can assure you that your vision (BIG OR SMALL) will become my top priority. I specialize in Asian weddings, but I am no stranger to any culture or theme. Fancy, modern, rustic, industrial, fairy-tale, eco-friendly - I've done them all.

Huyen was our day-of wedding coordinator, and she is amazing! Huyen is communicative, jumps in to help, and detail-oriented. She was an excellent problem-solver and was quick on her feet when little hiccups occurred, like our cake topper breaking! Huyen made sure everything went smoothly so we were able to relax and enjoy our wedding without having to keep track of all the details. Thank you, Huyen!

Huyen was our wedding coordinator, but really I felt as though she was a helpful big sister. Leading up to the wedding, she checked in on us monthly to make sure we were getting all our tasks done. She attended our ceremony rehearsal on her own time and was very attentive and respectful of the rules of our church, making sure they would be observed on the day of.
On our wedding day, she was there from the beginning running around behind the scenes and handling all the unexpected situations, all while we were getting ready and having fun with our friends. I really could not imagine getting through the day without her as she was always on the same page as us for what we envisioned for our wedding day. So grateful for her for allowing us to have a stress free wedding day!

We hired Huyen for her coordinator services. Huyen went above and beyond more than what coordinators would typically do. We hired her about 7 months before the wedding. Our wedding was in May. She met with us every month until April we met every 2 weeks. In May we met every week. She made sure we were on top of things and would give us tasks to finish before our next meeting. This helped us to stay organized. I was telling my makeup artist about her and she even was surprised that a coordinator would do as much as she did. She was willing to meet with us to pick up our wedding items to transport to venue. On day of wedding she wanted the wedding party to relax so she set up the decor that I DIYed. I had nothing to do so I helped but normally, she would do everything herself. While we were dancing, she and her assistant broke down everything and put into the cars that we told her ahead of time. By the end, we were all ready to go and did not have anything to worry about.
She speaks Vietnamese so she was able to translate to my parents on what they have to do and where they're sitting during ceremony. She helped out with the timeline and told the wedding party. She reached out to all the vendors ahead of time to confirm they know the time, date, location etc.
Highly recommend hiring Huyen!

Great working experience with Huyen Chime Events.
Coming from project management industry, Huyen Chime Events was great with flexible meeting times, we elected for online and outside office hours to save time and to avoid interruptions. We had a plan, and we had backup plans to be prepared.
We got help with vendor review, received planning advice and selections, and then Huyen Chime Events took care of the rest on our special day. Thank you!!!

We highly recommend Huyen as your planner/day-of coordinator. She was a lifesaver and we really couldn't have done it without her!
We had our wedding at Kim Son and had a ton of family (Vietnamese) attend. She speaks the language fluently was able to usher our guests to the proper tables and sort out the chaos so we could enjoy the evening.
Leading up to the date, she made sure that we accounted for everything and connected us to the vendors we needed during our monthly check ins. She also conducted our tea ceremony and clearly explained every step to our family and guests.
Huyen was honestly so patient with us - we had a lot of last minute items and she kept her cool through it all.
Her team was also super helpful and so friendly. We cannot thank them enough for their hard work.

We are major procrastinators and had no idea where to begin when planning our wedding. 6 months out and all we had planned was the venue, church, and date. Huyen really came through for us. She helped us get our wedding on track. She set up progress meetings, helped us contact vendors, kept us on schedule, delivered things to and from the venue, helped set up and tear down. She even helped me pick my reception dress. She literally held our hands and helped us turn our dream wedding into a reality.
There were so many moving parts with the traditional tea ceremony, to the church, and to the reception. Huyen coordinated the entire day and made sure everything went off without a hitch. Amazing that she understands the vietnamese culture and helped facilitate each aspect of the day.
She really cares about her clients. The whole week leading up to the big day, she reassured us that everything will be great, and if it's not, to let her figure it out. She made it a priorty to make us feel at ease and not worry. She shouldered the burdens and handled any and all situations so that we wouldn't have to.
Huyen is very detail oriented. This is probably why she's so good at what she does. Every detail is thought out and planned to ensure you have a great event.
If it weren't for Huyen, I'm not sure we'd even have a wedding.
10/10 would recommend time and time again! Thank you, Huyen!!

Where do we start? We had a vision of a non-traditional wedding reception and Huyen helped us bring it to life exactly how we wanted it. Huyen was super helpful from day 1, we met for coffee and she worked with us to understand exactly what we wanted and didn’t want. She took diligent notes and made sure she handled all the heavy lifting during the planning process. We appreciated her hard work because we didn’t have to worry about a thing from start to finish. We had an on-site visit with our decorator and Huyen was there to ask all the right questions, things we hadn’t even thought of. She pours her heart into her events, and you can really tell! Day of our cocktail reception, she was there early to meet each vendor and get them setup properly. We didn’t have to lift a finger and it was a seamless night. I would highly recommend Huyen to plan, coordinate and execute your next event. You won’t regret it!

Huyen is someone you can trust because she is reliable, dedicated, and guaranteed to deliver. There is absolutely no one else I think is meant for this work, but her. In the whole wedding planning process, she always had my best interest, never pushed any ideas onto me, and she was extremely patient and generous. My special day was unforgettable because she ensured no detail was overlooked. I am so grateful for her tenacity when problems arise because she will quickly resolve and action. One example being she impeccably executed my art seating arrangement installation minutes before cocktail hour began. I highly recommend her to anyone because her heart and energy are unmatched!
