The entire team at the Hyatt was responsive and accommodating to our guest's requests and the shuttle to and from the venue was an amazing perk
We booked our block of rooms through the Hyatt. We worked closely with Anna and she was so helpful. She was able to get us extra rooms and fix any issues that arose. She made my life less stressful and was great at her job!
We actually used the Hyatt Place for both our wedding block and our ceremony, and it was just wonderful! Laura was super helpful and responsive, and even ordered a stage for us to have as the alter. The space was huge. We had seats for 200 and plenty of space left. It really made our day so special, not to mention the wonderful rooms in the hotel. Many of our guests were coming in from out of town, so this was important to us.
Working with the Hyatt was a nightmare from start to finish. Let me be clear- if you are simply staying at this hotel, it's a dream. If you wish to book your room blocks here, run the other way immediately. It took literally 5 months to make our room blocks official, which included the Hyatt sales team ignoring our phone calls, emails, and in person visits for months. We contacted upper management at the location (who seem great), but it did nothing to spur the sales team or the front desk workers to literally do their job. The hotel was telling our guests to go elsewhere as they had no room....while we had plenty of rooms left in our block. They also called my husband's grandmother to tell her that even though she had already booked, they didn't have a room for her (but they actually did....). We spent money making gift bags for our guests...they only put out half of them. When my mother in law inquired about why half of the bags were missing (on the day of the wedding), the front desk said "we just left the other half in the back." Ok....wow. I heard from my guests (who actually got rooms) that the guy working the breakfast area was amazing- so kudos to him. Everyone else (except upper management, who tries) could not give a crap if your event fails. They literally do not at all care about the couples who book room blocks from them. This was the number 1 stressor of our ENTIRE wedding process. The location isn't worth it. Nothing is worth the stress the Hyatt brings. I would never recommend this hotel for room blocks.
I had several issues throughout the process with the event staff themselves. I was told I would be informed when the block filled up and never was. They also were very sporadic in their response times - sometimes right away, sometimes weeks. They also do not have any perks for the couple - no "congrats" note, nothing.
The hotel itself is brand new and very nice. The suite was perfect for getting ready the morning of - plenty of space for 6 girls + stylists and my mom (and later on, Photographer). Lots of natural lighting. Location is awesome as well!
