Nestled overlooking the Charles River, Hyatt Regency Boston / Cambridge gives couples a chance to exchange their vows with the vibrant Boston skyline as a backdrop. After a multi-million-dollar renovation, the hotel sports a contemporary design throughout the multiple venue options to give your celebration an upscale finish. Their largest outdoor option is the Riverside Pavilion, a spacious white tent complete with French windows, vintage chandeliers, and elegant drapery for up to 300 guests to enjoy. An outdoor garden patio is located right beside the tent for your guests to enjoy a picturesque view along with their cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. Also present is the open courtyard, with vibrant florals, greenery, and mature trees to serve as a backdrop to your ceremony. Right beside the courtyard is the Amesbury Ballroom, where up to 630 guests can dine and dance the night away under eclectic, contemporary lighting. On the 14th and 16th floors are the Mt. Auburn Ballroom and Charles View Ballroom, respectively. She met with us every week for months before the wedding, and handled everything from catering our brunch the day after to special treats for our parents. Kyle went the extra mile to get everything done for us, including ironing the skirt for our risers on her own time the night before the wedding. The Hyatt staff is professional and knows what they are doing; the catering and bartending staff have decades of combined wedding experience and everything went so smoothly!

We also had a wonderful experience with everyone else - from the front desk to the waitstaff at the event and even the facilities staff - everyone wanted to make sure that we had a perfect weekend. Of course, the Charles View Ballroom itself is gorgeous, and we got so many compliments on the food. My Vendors told me they have never worked with anyone as great as her. Maureen at the Bar, Elaine at our breakfast, the cleaning staff. We used the riverside pavilion and the Charles Riverview room. Everything was gorgeous and safe and the food OH MY GOD THE FOOD! Seriously I think I heard “this was the best food I’ve ever had” more times than I can count!
I could go on about so many things but ultimately I want to say that you won’t regret booking the Hyatt regency cambridge/Boston.

She was extremely professional, kind, and helpful. She checked in with us regularly before the wedding to see if we had any questions and if there was anything she could help us with. The day of the wedding, she ensured everything went smoothly - and everything was seamless, thanks to her! Everyone knew where to be at the right time and she kept all of us on schedule. There were also some smaller items that we needed for the wedding and she and the Hyatt were so kind to help provide these items. Additionally, Karie recommended great vendors (florist and cake) and everything was all set and impeccably decorated before we arrived. She even made some awesome recommendations for where we should take photos! Moreover, the Hyatt was extremely responsible and ensured all precautions were taken due to the pandemic - everyone felt comfortable and safe. If we were to plan another event, we would choose the Hyatt as our venue and Karie as our event planner in a heartbeat!!!

d up looking at three over venues after the Hyatt, but kept comparing everywhere we saw to the Hyatt so we knew we had to go for it. There were many reasons we chose the Hyatt, but the views are truly breathtaking and pictures don't even do it justice. We were soon introduced to Brianna Silva, our wedding coordinator, and she made us feel completely at ease! Brianna dealt with our million changes and indecisiveness leading up to the wedding date and did so with a smile and a constant “no problem.” We obviously had the utmost confidence in her team, but seeing the Empress Ballroom during our introductions made my jaw drop – it was ten times better than the image I had in my own head. We really can’t begin to explain how much we appreciated her hard work and advice throughout the process. In terms of the venue, our guests were so impressed with everything that night – the smooth transitions, the setup of the ceremony (in the courtyard garden) and reception, of course the views, which were the highlight of the Empress Ballroom. If I could do it all over again, I would definitely stick with the Hyatt. I couldn’t have imagined a better wedding venue for our special day.

ATCHED - our guests couldn't believe it and we couldn't either!!!! It was the most beautiful backdrop on our wedding day.
The food was UNREAL! As I mingled around, every single plate was clean. Everyone loved the food!!! We did the chicken and sirloin, and it was fantastic. We also did the caprese salad and everyone enjoyed it!
The staff - where do I begin. Brianna Silva is AN ANGEL!! She was beyond helpful every step of the way and kept me on track. If you work with Brianna, you are in the best of hands. Joan Ferraro the director is so kind and easy to work with. By the end of the wedding-planning journey, we were sad because we loved working with everyone that much.
If you want a SPECTACULAR city wedding with unbeatable views and a staff who is always on their A-game, no questions asked have your wedding reception at the Hyatt in Cambridge.

Ashley, the event coordinator was truly a life saver! She literally took care of everything and had answers to all my questions. During times of stress and panic, she knew what to do/say to make sure I was alright. Hands down with totally recommend this place. There were a couple small issues with guests booking hotel rooms, but they made up for win some way.
Overall, could not have imagined a better wedding. Everyone tells you to expect something to go wrong, but nothing did. It was perfect!

Reviews will tell you the same. The hotel staff is eager to please. They guided us through the planning process with helpful suggestions and made all the logistics on day of a piece of cake. I love that they asked us what was important to us from the very start - for us it was making sure our guests had a wonderful time and that everything went smoothly. We received so much feedback afterwards from friends and family about how they felt well-taken care of. The food was fabulous, the river views from the Charles Riverview Ballroom stunning, and I cannot emphasize enough how flexible the entire team was. Ashley Kirouac was wonderful to work with throughout our wedding planning. The day of the wedding Ashley and all the staff were a great help coordinating vendors and putting out all of our decorations. That morning my fiance was putting together an arch we built for the ceremony and Paul (?) from the banquet dept jumped right in and helped him. The bartender was amazing, great drinks and service. Our guests spoke very highly of her. All of the banquet staff were welcoming and helpful and made our wedding day effortless.
We had our ceremony in the tent and chose the Empress Ballroom for our reception. The Empress is a smaller space but it has an outdoor balcony which was cool. It made for great views and photos of the city skyline.
The bridal suite was really nice too. Spacious and updated with a beautiful view of the city.
Overall we HIGHLY recommend the Hyatt Cambridge for a wedding. The location and the staff made it so wonderful.

She knew from the beginning that I wasn't into all the details, so she only asked the questions that were absolutely necessary. I am happy to say that I have made a friend out of this experience and would certainly recommend any of my friends to host their wedding at the Hyatt specifically because of her!

(Our top 3 places came down to the State Room, Museum of Science and Hyatt Regency.) The Charles River View Room at the Hyatt is by far the best view in Boston in my opinion. We actually had our ceremony up there and then they flipped it for our reception as well. Ashley K and her entire staff were extraordinary. They were detail-oriented and on-point, but did an amazing job of keeping us at ease and helping us to relax and take in the moment. Helen our sever was also a gem! A highlight of the evening was the food Chris, the chef worked with us to get to know our likes and dislikes. He seemed to really care that we were happy. The quality of the food was outstanding. I am a bit of a foodie and the food was beyond my expectations. People are still talking about it. I am so happy with our choice of the Hyatt, Everyone seemed to genuinely care about us (which was quite different than our other top choices where it was more of a sales and close the deal vibe). If I could give 6 stars I would. Hats off to Ashley, Chris and the entire team.

fect everything was, and how I would give just about anything to relive it just one more time.
Ashley and the entire team at the Hyatt Regency Cambridge were accommodating, hard working, kind, respectful, and 100% dedicated to making my wedding go exactly as I had envisioned it (we had an Iranian wedding that had tons of specific details and Ashley made sure to take care of each single detail). Not only did everything go as planned, everything more than exceeded my expectations. If you want to enjoy every aspect of your day and have guests tell you that your wedding was, "the best they have ever been to," then Hyatt Regency Cambridge and its wonderful wedding manager Ashley is for you. Ashley never once lost her patience with my family. On the day of I was absolutely amazed at the handwork that everyone put in... As a part of our wedding package we were offered an amazing suite for the night of our wedding. Such a bonus for one of the most tiring (and yet exciting) night of our life.
Now about the venue: The venue is absolutely stunning. The Charles View ballroom and its stunning view was the reason I chose this place. The amazing food was a bonus. We had a great tasting session with our wonderful chef and I can tell that the chef is very professional and amazing to work with.
I truly recommend the Hyatt Regency Cambridge and its dedicated team to anyone looking for the most perfect wedding venue.

ve the same experience I had, and so I would recommend the Hyatt to anyone and everyone without reservations because of our experience.
Since our venue tour, Ashley was the most incredible woman who made me and my now husband feel as important as a bride and groom should on their wedding day. This continued throughout the planning process from the constant contact over the planning sheets to the menu tastings. Which, by the way, the food is INCREDIBLE. Not just for wedding food standards, but for a steak and salmon dinner at a restaurant standards. Chef Chris was amazing and adapted personal preferences to make our menu unique and special to us. I cannot speak highly enough of him, especially as he even came out to check in during our wedding reception to make sure everything had met our standards. Chris, you surpassed all of our expectations (which were high after the tasting!).
Back to Ashley, again I can't speak highly enough of her. Her team (Amanda, Michelle, and everyone else) was so attentive, and also accommodating. When it was questionable as to whether we would be able to take photos by the Charles or if it was going to rain buckets on us, Ashley had booked a private room to be available for our pictures. If we needed extra waters they would be available. She coordinated everything so that I didn't have to think about anything other than relaxing throughout the entire get-ready process.
Then, the venue itself. The 180-degree views of the Boston skyline from the Charles River Ballroom was breathtaking, and we got comments on that all night long. This in itself is definitely worth looking at.
I feel so lucky to have booked our wedding at the Hyatt Regency Cambridge, and encourage every bride-to-be to do the same.

r and dancing) were unparrelleled, the food was fantastic, and the service was impeccable. As some what of an event planner myself, I know the importance of having your guests feel as though they are individually cared for - and that is exactly what happened. The main wedding coordinator, Ashley, was very helpful through out the entire process and help make our wedding the best it could have been. Definitely ask for Helen, the banquet manager, as she also made the day for us and my parents.
I will give two criticisms: one is that the cost of the alcohol was rather ridiculous and the other is that our wedding coordinator was sometimes a little difficult to get ahold of. I know that the wedding was held in the city, but you would think that if you were spending so much on food (think $115 a head at least) they could offer some discount on alcohol - but we ended up spending nearly 10,000 on a consumption bar and most of our 160 guests don't drink that much (or at least we thought). Had we opted for an open bar we were told it would have cost almost $15,000.
As to getting ahold of Ashley our wedding coordinator, I do know that she is extremely busy with hosting many events at the Hyatt each year, but getting email responses were a bit tough. Also, my mother in law - who admittedly is a little old school - had wanted to talk with Ashley on the phone and made several attempts to call her but rarely received a call back. She instead got emails, which posed a bit of a problem because she never checks her email apparently. That being said, the longest I probably waited for an email response from Ashley was about a week, but her emails were always very detailed and extremely helpful! In general she was a wonderful planner and it's no wonder she received an award for her work as one at the Hyatt!

she definitely didn't disappoint with the craft beer selection (the groom was very pleased). All of the staff from check in to check out were exceptional. And Helen is the sweetest woman on the planet! She made sure I ate and had a fresh beer at all times. The guests can't stop talking about how great the food was, so props to the chef! All in all, we're so happy with how smooth everything went.

We can't speak highly enough of Ashley Kirouac and the staff at the Hyatt Regency Cambridge! Our first meeting with Ashley at the hotel won a us over once we saw the Empress Ballr...
oom. Ashley took the time to get to know us and prepared (in the grooms opinion the only) a very straight forward and reasonable quote.
Nearly a year after our first meeting the big day came and Ashley was there coordinating all the details and took the time to set up our personal decorations for the reception.
Ashley and her team were amazing all day! As person who frequents business conferences and dinners in hotels regularly I can say having the included coordinator Ashley Kirouac is a an awesome advantage for any host! We can't say enough good things about Ashley and her wedding team!

k at this venue on a whim as I was not sold on getting married at a hotel. The minute we walked in I knew this was the place my now husband and I were get married. The tour of the venue was perfect and Ashley really took the time to get to understand what we were looking for. I also appreciated that during our tour we were given 6 appetizers to try and champagne, before we had even committed to the venue! Planning was so easy from that moment on. Having Ashley as a point of contact was great, she provided advice, vendor recommendations, and answered my many , many questions! The day of the wedding was the best day of my life and I attribute so much of that to the Hyatt, Ashley, and the rest of the staff there. We got married in the Riverside Pavillion, took pictures down the street at MIT (with use of the hotel shuttle) and then had our reception in the Charles View Ballroom. Of course there were a few hiccups, but that is to be expected. My guests are still commenting on the food and the view from the Charles View Ballroom. If I had to do it all again I would pick the Hyatt and I cannot recommend it more!

Beware!!!
I attended a wedding at the Hyatt Regency Cambridge the staff was kind and helpful and the location was beautiful. So why am I giving it a 1 star review you ask?
Many ...
of the guests who attended ended up sick after the wedding... Not to mention the groom!! One person was hospitalized. My aunt (mother of the bride) contacted me the next day asking if anyone in my family had gotten sick. My daughter and myself had gotten sick with GI symptoms (vomiting and diarrhea) My aunt told my the Hyatt would be calling to talk to me. I thought they'd be calling to apologize and was appreciative of that.
Unfortunately what happened was an interrogation about what my family had eaten previously that day asked if my daughter was around other sick kids and told me they were "investigating" and being "detectives" and had determined this was not related to the food and was likely a virus we got from each other while being there or at the church. I explained that not everyone who had gotten sick had attended the ceremony.
I politely explained that I work in the medical field and that is unlikely this was viral as we were only at the location for 4 hours and was more then likely it was an illness spread by a server. The manager told me "we will never know for sure what caused this."
I was not looking for the manager to offer me money or any type of compensation. All I was looking for was an apology that my family had gotten sick and we had to leave the wedding early.
I am appalled by the lack of compassion and basic customer service skills.
I would strongly advise anyone looking to hold a function here to find another location.

tentive and accommodating. My husband and I went to the tasting and 4 of our 5 appetizer choices were items we didn't even taste but just thought up on the spot and they promised they would make them for us. And they were delicious! Every detail was perfect, and our friends and family were blown away, especially at the view. Rehearsal dinner was perfect, and they let us practice our dance alone in the reception hall the night before. Helen was in charge of myself and my husband the day of the wedding, and she was unbelievably accommodating. Anything we wanted, she got for us. She even offered to get a type of alcohol special for us, even though the venue didn't serve it normally. If you are looking to get married in Boston, this is the place to do it. We got married in 2014, and we recently went back to the hotel for a night on Valentine's Day, and we got a personal note from Robert. Even after a year and a half, they are still attentive and caring. I didn't feel like just another wedding couple that they served and kicked aside. The whole experience was a dream. Ten thumbs up.

The Hyatt was extremely flexible with the wedding package and we got everything we wanted. The wedding day went off mostly without issue and we had a wonderful day. Every guest raved about the Boston skyline view from the Charles View Ballroom and the weather was perfect for our courtyard ceremony. Additionally, the wait staff was speedy and hard working. d them my budget. I tried everything, including a few wedding planners who told me that could not work within my budget of $30,000. I was so frustrated, and Robert said of course we can work with you. Every request I had he accomodated. I have a gluten allergy and Robert made sure as much as possible in the wedding was gluten free and was perfect, even down the to late night pizza. The food was absolutely amazing, to the point that my friends and family are still raving about it a month later. The room and the view speak for themselves, it is an absolutely stunning view of the city, like nothing else. You can not beat it. As another reviewer mentioned they kept the bar open late and even had a conference room for us to party in into the late hours, which was truly amazing. I would recommend the Hyatt over and over for the amazing service and wonderful product they have. I can not thank them enough, especially Robert, for making my wedding an absolutely fabulous day!

not convenient to public transportation and so many of our guests were coming in from out of town. But after staying there I have to say it was a great experience. They were so accommodating, they even agreed to keep they're bar open til 2am for us (they usually close at 1) and when my friends were having an after-after party in one of the guest rooms, instead of just breaking it up they brought all of my friends to one of their banquet rooms where they hung out til 4am. They also gave me free parking passes for my vendors and had champagne and chocolate covered strawberries for me and my husband in our suite. An all-around great experience.

rovide a complementary mini-fridge in our room for us to store our wedding flowers in. Other than that, it was a nice hotel, with a beautiful view. One note, it was about a fifteen-minute walk, across the river or to Harvard Square, to catch the "T" in to downtown Boston.
