Hyatt Regency Boston / Cambridge

If we could give more than 5 stars we would - the Hyatt was absolutely amazing. The views were incredible, the Empress Ballroom was stunning, the food was delectable (we selected the halibut and sirloin), and the staff were super friendly and skilled. Moreover, Karie Duran went above and beyond to make our dream wedding a reality. She was extremely professional, kind, and helpful. She checked in with us regularly before the wedding to see if we had any questions and if there was anything she could help us with. The day of the wedding, she ensured everything went smoothly - and everything was seamless, thanks to her! Everyone knew where to be at the right time and she kept all of us on schedule. There were also some smaller items that we needed for the wedding and she and the Hyatt were so kind to help provide these items. Additionally, Karie recommended great vendors (florist and cake) and everything was all set and impeccably decorated before we arrived. She even made some awesome recommendations for where we should take photos! Moreover, the Hyatt was extremely responsible and ensured all precautions were taken due to the pandemic - everyone felt comfortable and safe. If we were to plan another event, we would choose the Hyatt as our venue and Karie as our event planner in a heartbeat!!!

We were thrilled with the Hyatt Regency as the venue for our wedding in January - amazing views, great flexibility from the events team, and right in the heart of Cambridge! Thank you Brianna for being outstanding and flexible and working with us on lots of odds and ends that worked out great for us!

We are so happy we chose the Hyatt Regency Cambridge for our wedding venue! The Hyatt was the first venue we looked at, about one year ahead of our target wedding date, and we ended up looking at three over venues after the Hyatt, but kept comparing everywhere we saw to the Hyatt so we knew we had to go for it. There were many reasons we chose the Hyatt, but the views are truly breathtaking and pictures don't even do it justice. We were soon introduced to Brianna Silva, our wedding coordinator, and she made us feel completely at ease! Brianna dealt with our million changes and indecisiveness leading up to the wedding date and did so with a smile and a constant “no problem.” We obviously had the utmost confidence in her team, but seeing the Empress Ballroom during our introductions made my jaw drop – it was ten times better than the image I had in my own head. We really can’t begin to explain how much we appreciated her hard work and advice throughout the process. In terms of the venue, our guests were so impressed with everything that night – the smooth transitions, the setup of the ceremony (in the courtyard garden) and reception, of course the views, which were the highlight of the Empress Ballroom. If I could do it all over again, I would definitely stick with the Hyatt. I couldn’t have imagined a better wedding venue for our special day.

From the moment we entered the Hyatt to check it out, we were sold. We wanted our wedding to be in the city with city views, as we both were born and raised here. The views are UNMATCHED - our guests couldn't believe it and we couldn't either!!!! It was the most beautiful backdrop on our wedding day. The food was UNREAL! As I mingled around, every single plate was clean. Everyone loved the food!!! We did the chicken and sirloin, and it was fantastic. We also did the caprese salad and everyone enjoyed it! The staff - where do I begin. Brianna Silva is AN ANGEL!! She was beyond helpful every step of the way and kept me on track. If you work with Brianna, you are in the best of hands. Joan Ferraro the director is so kind and easy to work with. By the end of the wedding-planning journey, we were sad because we loved working with everyone that much. If you want a SPECTACULAR city wedding with unbeatable views and a staff who is always on their A-game, no questions asked have your wedding reception at the Hyatt in Cambridge.

We had a fantastic time working with Brianna at the Hyatt for our wedding. We moved from the courtyard to the tent at the last minute because of extreme July heat. Brianna and Hyatt were extremely flexible, even bringing in additional AC units to cool the space. The experience was wonderful, we felt supported and taken care of, and had numerous people comment on how it was one of their favorite weddings they'd attended.

We just had our wedding ceremony & reception at this place in this spring. Hyatt Cambridge offers great package options at a reasonable price. They were very flexible with the planning. All of our guests were very satisfied with the quality of foods and services during our event. Another best part about the venue is their staff members. We truly enjoyed working with staff members. Everyone was very helpful and easy to reach out. Special thanks to our coordinator, Brianna Silva, who helped us throughout the entire process. It was a great pleasure to have her as our wedding coordinator. She was always very helpful and friendly. Working with her throughout the whole process made our wedding planning much easier and more enjoyable.

My now-husband and I didn't want to do a hotel wedding, but we decided to tour anyways. So glad we did! The thing that put us over the edge was the view! Right next to the Charles River. In the ballroom on the top floor, you get 270 degree views of boston and cambridge, including the Citgo sign. Ashley, the event coordinator was truly a life saver! She literally took care of everything and had answers to all my questions. During times of stress and panic, she knew what to do/say to make sure I was alright. Hands down with totally recommend this place. There were a couple small issues with guests booking hotel rooms, but they made up for win some way. Overall, could not have imagined a better wedding. Everyone tells you to expect something to go wrong, but nothing did. It was perfect!

We can not speak highly enough about the Hyatt team and Ashley Kirouac! From the first visit, we fell in love with the Empress Ballroom and the beautiful Boston skyline views. We wanted a wedding that was representative of each of us and had its own style...Ashley and her team were able to exceed our expectations from food choices, to decor, to little touch suggestions..our wedding was perfect! The team truly listened to us and respected our vision..there is not one thing we would change about that day! 3 weeks later and our guests are still talking about how amazing the service, venue, and food was! As a bride, the wedding planner, Ashley, paired with the beautiful venue truly made the day stress-free, fun and beautiful! I have absolutely no regrets about choosing the Hyatt for the wedding and Ashley made the experience seemless and enjoyable. The view, the staff and food was exceptional! If I could give it 6 stars I would!

Stunning location along the Charles River. The view from the Charles Ballroom is nothing shy of breathtaking. Food and service 5 star. Professionally run. Be sure to request the LOBSTER ON THE HOMEMADE POTATO CHIP as an appetizer. Our guests are still talking about it. I think Ashley K invented it ;) . Ashley is one of the top tier wedding planners in Boston. Reviews will tell you the same. The hotel staff is eager to please. Bartenders and servers are unobtrusive and all work with smiles on their faces :) We had a great view of the New Years Eve fireworks. Our guests all enjoyed their river view guests rooms, and public spaces. Great bar with specialty drinks. Hotel lobby newly renovated. Highly recommend. Evening went too quickly <3

There aren't enough words to express the gratitude and appreciation we feel towards Ashley Kirouac and the Hyatt Regency team. From the day that we arrived to tour the venue through the day that we left as husband and wife, the Hyatt team was accommodating, professional and incredibly down to earth. Ashley thought of every detail along the way and even sent a framed photo of our first look to our honeymoon destination. Every bride deserves to feel like a princess on her special day and the Hyatt team does just that. You're not only royalty when you have an event there, but you also become family. We can't wait to go back for our anniversary!

We couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue for our wedding! The combination of warm and accommodating staff with beautiful physical location on the Charles River made our ceremony and reception a dream come true. Ashley, Helen, Peter and the rest of the Hyatt team were very patient and happy to work with us on many requests. They guided us through the planning process with helpful suggestions and made all the logistics on day of a piece of cake. I love that they asked us what was important to us from the very start - for us it was making sure our guests had a wonderful time and that everything went smoothly. We received so much feedback afterwards from friends and family about how they felt well-taken care of. The food was fabulous, the river views from the Charles Riverview Ballroom stunning, and I cannot emphasize enough how flexible the entire team was. If I had to go back and choose a venue all over again, I would definitely choose the Hyatt Regency Cambridge. Thank you so much!

We love Hyatt's and stay there often so when it came time to look for a wedding venue we checked out all the Hyatt's in the city. We settled on the Cambridge location for the spectacular view and the banquet staff. Ashley Kirouac was wonderful to work with throughout our wedding planning. The day of the wedding Ashley and all the staff were a great help coordinating vendors and putting out all of our decorations. That morning my fiance was putting together an arch we built for the ceremony and Paul (?) from the banquet dept jumped right in and helped him. The bartender was amazing, great drinks and service. Our guests spoke very highly of her. All of the banquet staff were welcoming and helpful and made our wedding day effortless. We had our ceremony in the tent and chose the Empress Ballroom for our reception. The Empress is a smaller space but it has an outdoor balcony which was cool. It made for great views and photos of the city skyline. The bridal suite was really nice too. Spacious and updated with a beautiful view of the city. Overall we HIGHLY recommend the Hyatt Cambridge for a wedding. The location and the staff made it so wonderful.

Our wedding at the hyatt was absolutely perfect. The customer service, the food, the ambiance, and everything about our wedding was spectacular. Thank you to our fabulous coordinator Ashley who went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly. The wait staff was amazing as well. We couldn't have imagined a better day! Our guests are still raving about the food and the breathtaking view!

My experience with the Hyatt would not have been the same if it weren't for Ashley. From the first night that we met her, she went above and beyond at all times and made the planning process of the ceremony and reception very seamless. She checked in frequently as the wedding date approached, but was not overbearing in the questions that she asked or too pushy to get the answers, which is something that works well for me. She knew from the beginning that I wasn't into all the details, so she only asked the questions that were absolutely necessary. I am happy to say that I have made a friend out of this experience and would certainly recommend any of my friends to host their wedding at the Hyatt specifically because of her!

Our wedding at they Hyatt Cambridge was absolutely amazing thanks to the incredible hyatt staff and coordinator Ashley!! Ashley made our wedding day more perfect than we could have ever dreamed!! She was beyond helpful and always available to answer my questions from day one on. Everyone at our wedding could not stop talking about how perfect everything was, from the food to the staff!! Helen was also absolutely phenomenal! We could not have asked for a better wedding venue!!

Ashley Kirouac was our wedding planner and was absolutely AMAZING. She went above and beyond for us since day 1 when we signed our contract to have our wedding at the Hyatt. Our wedding day was everything we could have ever dreamed of and more, a fairy tale, and we have her to thank for that. I couldn't be happier with the service we were provided. Our experience at Hyatt Regency Cambridge was nothing short of excellent. Ashley Kirouac is unmatched in her industry and is truly a professional. Her attention to detail and responsiveness over the past year of planning was impressive to say the least. During our wedding weekend, her and the team were even more unbelievable with their attentiveness to our smallest requests. In terms of the venue, the 16th floor ballroom was beautiful, the food was great, and the atmosphere was exactly what we wished for. Everyone is still raving about the food, serving staff, and location. Anyone looking for a Boston wedding venue with an amazing view should look no further than the Hyatt Regency Cambridge. I cannot say enough about Ashley Kirouac, she exponentially added value to our entire experience. Thank you so much Ashley!

BEST VIEW, BEST STAFF. BEST FOOD. I am writing a long overdue review of our wedding at the Hyatt Regency from last summer. I searched and visited about 15 different venues around Boston before settling on the Hyatt. For me, having an amazing view was essential, as well as good food and a nice staff to work with. We were so thrilled with our choice. (Our top 3 places came down to the State Room, Museum of Science and Hyatt Regency.) The Charles River View Room at the Hyatt is by far the best view in Boston in my opinion. We actually had our ceremony up there and then they flipped it for our reception as well. Ashley K and her entire staff were extraordinary. They were detail-oriented and on-point, but did an amazing job of keeping us at ease and helping us to relax and take in the moment. Helen our sever was also a gem! A highlight of the evening was the food Chris, the chef worked with us to get to know our likes and dislikes. He seemed to really care that we were happy. The quality of the food was outstanding. I am a bit of a foodie and the food was beyond my expectations. People are still talking about it. I am so happy with our choice of the Hyatt, Everyone seemed to genuinely care about us (which was quite different than our other top choices where it was more of a sales and close the deal vibe). If I could give 6 stars I would. Hats off to Ashley, Chris and the entire team.

My husband and I had our wedding and reception at the Hyatt Regency Cambridge on May 2017. There has not been a day that has passed where I have not thought about that day, how perfect everything was, and how I would give just about anything to relive it just one more time. Ashley and the entire team at the Hyatt Regency Cambridge were accommodating, hard working, kind, respectful, and 100% dedicated to making my wedding go exactly as I had envisioned it (we had an Iranian wedding that had tons of specific details and Ashley made sure to take care of each single detail). Not only did everything go as planned, everything more than exceeded my expectations. If you want to enjoy every aspect of your day and have guests tell you that your wedding was, "the best they have ever been to," then Hyatt Regency Cambridge and its wonderful wedding manager Ashley is for you. Ashley never once lost her patience with my family. On the day of I was absolutely amazed at the handwork that everyone put in... As a part of our wedding package we were offered an amazing suite for the night of our wedding. Such a bonus for one of the most tiring (and yet exciting) night of our life. Now about the venue: The venue is absolutely stunning. The Charles View ballroom and its stunning view was the reason I chose this place. The amazing food was a bonus. We had a great tasting session with our wonderful chef and I can tell that the chef is very professional and amazing to work with. I truly recommend the Hyatt Regency Cambridge and its dedicated team to anyone looking for the most perfect wedding venue.

Without exaggeration, I don't think I would have had as perfect of a wedding anywhere else. I wish I could experience the whole weekend again. I wish every bride and groom could have the same experience I had, and so I would recommend the Hyatt to anyone and everyone without reservations because of our experience. Since our venue tour, Ashley was the most incredible woman who made me and my now husband feel as important as a bride and groom should on their wedding day. This continued throughout the planning process from the constant contact over the planning sheets to the menu tastings. Which, by the way, the food is INCREDIBLE. Not just for wedding food standards, but for a steak and salmon dinner at a restaurant standards. Chef Chris was amazing and adapted personal preferences to make our menu unique and special to us. I cannot speak highly enough of him, especially as he even came out to check in during our wedding reception to make sure everything had met our standards. Chris, you surpassed all of our expectations (which were high after the tasting!). Back to Ashley, again I can't speak highly enough of her. Her team (Amanda, Michelle, and everyone else) was so attentive, and also accommodating. When it was questionable as to whether we would be able to take photos by the Charles or if it was going to rain buckets on us, Ashley had booked a private room to be available for our pictures. If we needed extra waters they would be available. She coordinated everything so that I didn't have to think about anything other than relaxing throughout the entire get-ready process. Then, the venue itself. The 180-degree views of the Boston skyline from the Charles River Ballroom was breathtaking, and we got comments on that all night long. This in itself is definitely worth looking at. I feel so lucky to have booked our wedding at the Hyatt Regency Cambridge, and encourage every bride-to-be to do the same. .

The Hyatt made our wedding even more spectacular than I had imagined. The views from both the empress ballroom (where we had our cocktail hour) and the Charles view ballroom (dinner and dancing) were unparrelleled, the food was fantastic, and the service was impeccable. As some what of an event planner myself, I know the importance of having your guests feel as though they are individually cared for - and that is exactly what happened. The main wedding coordinator, Ashley, was very helpful through out the entire process and help make our wedding the best it could have been. Definitely ask for Helen, the banquet manager, as she also made the day for us and my parents. I will give two criticisms: one is that the cost of the alcohol was rather ridiculous and the other is that our wedding coordinator was sometimes a little difficult to get ahold of. I know that the wedding was held in the city, but you would think that if you were spending so much on food (think $115 a head at least) they could offer some discount on alcohol - but we ended up spending nearly 10,000 on a consumption bar and most of our 160 guests don't drink that much (or at least we thought). Had we opted for an open bar we were told it would have cost almost $15,000. As to getting ahold of Ashley our wedding coordinator, I do know that she is extremely busy with hosting many events at the Hyatt each year, but getting email responses were a bit tough. Also, my mother in law - who admittedly is a little old school - had wanted to talk with Ashley on the phone and made several attempts to call her but rarely received a call back. She instead got emails, which posed a bit of a problem because she never checks her email apparently. That being said, the longest I probably waited for an email response from Ashley was about a week, but her emails were always very detailed and extremely helpful! In general she was a wonderful planner and it's no wonder she received an award for her work as one at the Hyatt!

Ashley made sure not to miss a detail for us. She was very transparent with the budget and worked with us on a few things, since some of the package items weren't really "us." And she definitely didn't disappoint with the craft beer selection (the groom was very pleased). All of the staff from check in to check out were exceptional. And Helen is the sweetest woman on the planet! She made sure I ate and had a fresh beer at all times. The guests can't stop talking about how great the food was, so props to the chef! All in all, we're so happy with how smooth everything went.

We were sold on the Hyatt as soon as we saw the beautiful event space and met the Amazing Ashley! On the weekend of there were a few small snafus in communication (one of our guests didn't get the promised upgrade, for example) but Alison and Helen took such good care of us the day of, and Ashley and Peter made sure the wedding ran smoothly! The food was very delicious too. It was a great wedding and we had a wonderful time! Thanks, guys!

We can't speak highly enough of Ashley Kirouac and the staff at the Hyatt Regency Cambridge! Our first meeting with Ashley at the hotel won a us over once we saw the Empress Ballroom. Ashley took the time to get to know us and prepared (in the grooms opinion the only) a very straight forward and reasonable quote. Nearly a year after our first meeting the big day came and Ashley was there coordinating all the details and took the time to set up our personal decorations for the reception. Ashley and her team were amazing all day! As person who frequents business conferences and dinners in hotels regularly I can say having the included coordinator Ashley Kirouac is a an awesome advantage for any host! We can't say enough good things about Ashley and her wedding team!

I am so excited to write this review! I'm not sure where to begin as my experience with the Hyatt Regency Cambridge, more specifically Ashley Kirouac was fantastic!! We went to look at this venue on a whim as I was not sold on getting married at a hotel. The minute we walked in I knew this was the place my now husband and I were get married. The tour of the venue was perfect and Ashley really took the time to get to understand what we were looking for. I also appreciated that during our tour we were given 6 appetizers to try and champagne, before we had even committed to the venue! Planning was so easy from that moment on. Having Ashley as a point of contact was great, she provided advice, vendor recommendations, and answered my many , many questions! The day of the wedding was the best day of my life and I attribute so much of that to the Hyatt, Ashley, and the rest of the staff there. We got married in the Riverside Pavillion, took pictures down the street at MIT (with use of the hotel shuttle) and then had our reception in the Charles View Ballroom. Of course there were a few hiccups, but that is to be expected. My guests are still commenting on the food and the view from the Charles View Ballroom. If I had to do it all again I would pick the Hyatt and I cannot recommend it more!

Our wedding at the Hyatt was incredible. The venue was amazing and worked through all of our requests. The food was top notch (although we didn't get any) all the guests raved about how good it was! The staff was more than helpful to me and my husband to make sure our day was great. There wasn't one thing I would have changed!

Beware!!! I attended a wedding at the Hyatt Regency Cambridge the staff was kind and helpful and the location was beautiful. So why am I giving it a 1 star review you ask? Many of the guests who attended ended up sick after the wedding... Not to mention the groom!! One person was hospitalized. My aunt (mother of the bride) contacted me the next day asking if anyone in my family had gotten sick. My daughter and myself had gotten sick with GI symptoms (vomiting and diarrhea) My aunt told my the Hyatt would be calling to talk to me. I thought they'd be calling to apologize and was appreciative of that. Unfortunately what happened was an interrogation about what my family had eaten previously that day asked if my daughter was around other sick kids and told me they were "investigating" and being "detectives" and had determined this was not related to the food and was likely a virus we got from each other while being there or at the church. I explained that not everyone who had gotten sick had attended the ceremony. I politely explained that I work in the medical field and that is unlikely this was viral as we were only at the location for 4 hours and was more then likely it was an illness spread by a server. The manager told me "we will never know for sure what caused this." I was not looking for the manager to offer me money or any type of compensation. All I was looking for was an apology that my family had gotten sick and we had to leave the wedding early. I am appalled by the lack of compassion and basic customer service skills. I would strongly advise anyone looking to hold a function here to find another location.

This venue topped all other wedding venues I've ever been to, and I'm not just saying that because I was the Bride at this venue. Catering Manager Robert Goehring was extremely attentive and accommodating. My husband and I went to the tasting and 4 of our 5 appetizer choices were items we didn't even taste but just thought up on the spot and they promised they would make them for us. And they were delicious! Every detail was perfect, and our friends and family were blown away, especially at the view. Rehearsal dinner was perfect, and they let us practice our dance alone in the reception hall the night before. Helen was in charge of myself and my husband the day of the wedding, and she was unbelievably accommodating. Anything we wanted, she got for us. She even offered to get a type of alcohol special for us, even though the venue didn't serve it normally. If you are looking to get married in Boston, this is the place to do it. We got married in 2014, and we recently went back to the hotel for a night on Valentine's Day, and we got a personal note from Robert. Even after a year and a half, they are still attentive and caring. I didn't feel like just another wedding couple that they served and kicked aside. The whole experience was a dream. Ten thumbs up.

The venue was great, beautiful views and right by the river. The reception room was great, the hotel was very comfortable, we all really enjoyed the whole experience. And the staff was very nice and pleasant to work with.

We have always loved the Hyatt especially the view of the City. We wanted to have a unique venue for our reception and a view of the City was important, the Hyatt was the perfect place. We were lucky to be able to work with Alison Lamkin from sales and she made it easy to plan our perfect night. Everything turned our T amazing and we had the most memorable wedding. The food was delicious and everyone of our guests raved about I. The services was outstanding and they really good, the time and effort to execute all of our details to make the room special with our personal touches.

The Hyatt was amazing! We were looking to have an outdoor ceremony and a reception site that had a gorgeous view of Boston. We got all of that and more! We worked closely with Alison. She was personable and professional throughout the process and was accommodating to all of our requests! The Hyatt was extremely flexible with the wedding package and we got everything we wanted. The wedding day went off mostly without issue and we had a wonderful day. Every guest raved about the Boston skyline view from the Charles View Ballroom and the weather was perfect for our courtyard ceremony. Additionally, the wait staff was speedy and hard working. We would recommend this venue to a friend!

Robert and the entire staff at the Hyatt were outstanding. From the first phone call to Robert he had me at ease. Every place I had contacted in Boston had laughed at me when I told them my budget. I tried everything, including a few wedding planners who told me that could not work within my budget of $30,000. I was so frustrated, and Robert said of course we can work with you. Every request I had he accomodated. I have a gluten allergy and Robert made sure as much as possible in the wedding was gluten free and was perfect, even down the to late night pizza. The food was absolutely amazing, to the point that my friends and family are still raving about it a month later. The room and the view speak for themselves, it is an absolutely stunning view of the city, like nothing else. You can not beat it. As another reviewer mentioned they kept the bar open late and even had a conference room for us to party in into the late hours, which was truly amazing. I would recommend the Hyatt over and over for the amazing service and wonderful product they have. I can not thank them enough, especially Robert, for making my wedding an absolutely fabulous day!

My experience with the Hyatt and Fabrina was very positive. I had a wedding block here, and the prices were good compared to everything else I was looking at. They discounted parking as well. They offer complimentary shuttle service to Harvard Square (where my wedding took place). Their breakfast was also delicious. We rented a conference room to get the girls ready on the morning of the wedding, and they were also very good about making sure we were comfortable, etc.

I put my dad in charge of hotels because I wanted him to feel involved and thought it was a good job for a man. At first I was really annoyed that he picked the Hyatt because it's not convenient to public transportation and so many of our guests were coming in from out of town. But after staying there I have to say it was a great experience. They were so accommodating, they even agreed to keep they're bar open til 2am for us (they usually close at 1) and when my friends were having an after-after party in one of the guest rooms, instead of just breaking it up they brought all of my friends to one of their banquet rooms where they hung out til 4am. They also gave me free parking passes for my vendors and had champagne and chocolate covered strawberries for me and my husband in our suite. An all-around great experience.

From start to finish i felt like i had nothing to worry about. Dana the wedding planner had everything under control. The day went off without any problems, she was always on hand if i had any questions.The food was amazing and i am still getting compliments on that. The view is also spectacular, if you want a wow factor then this is it.

Some details weren't followed through with, but almost everything was perfect and most things were very easy and smooth to deal with. Recommended.

We stayed at this hotel, when we got married. They weren't part of our wedding plans; however, they also didn't stand out as a particularly memorable part of our trip. They did provide a complementary mini-fridge in our room for us to store our wedding flowers in. Other than that, it was a nice hotel, with a beautiful view. One note, it was about a fifteen-minute walk, across the river or to Harvard Square, to catch the "T" in to downtown Boston.

Staff was fabulous. Hotel facilities excellent. Many different rooms to host different parts of wedding (reception cocktail ceremony);The dividing wall for the main ballroom doesn't photograph well! cover it up!
