We had our entire wedding at HRGC (specifically Cypress Pointe, Grandview Terrace, and La Coquina), which were absolutely stunning and made the most beautiful backdrop to our day. The food was delicious and the kitchen staff were all incredible during our tasting and on the day of the wedding. We felt that the hotel customer service did not blow us out of the park after a few less than favorable experiences, but otherwise felt like this was the perfect venue for us and would've chosen HRGC as our venue again.
Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress has an incredible variety of venue spaces within their resort property. I was thrilled to find outdoor and indoor spaces with so much unique charm that they did not need to be heavily decorated to be elegant and beautiful. The lanterns at Oak Terrace and chandeliers at La Coquina made for incredible photos and ambiance throughout the day. Not only that, but I received several compliments that the food was some of the best plated meals my guests had eaten at recent weddings. This was such a pleasant surprise! As for the staff, we started off working with Sarahi in sales who was incredibly responsive, helpful, and flexible despite my numerous questions and emails. Our event coordinator was Victoria who made sure everything was executed flawlessly the weekend of the event. She was friendly and really strived to make sure we had everything we wanted whether it was beverages or a meal at the end of the night when we were too busy to eat. There is no where else I would've rather had my wedding day!
I cannot recommend having your wedding here enough. You really do get the full package from beginning to end. If you can, request that Victoria V. is your venue coordinator. She is organized, responsive, and has the patience of a saint.
Any questions?
I cannot recommend the Hyatt enough!! Not only are the hotel and venue spaces absolutely beautiful but the events team is truly what makes your wedding so special. We worked with a few different people at the Hyatt throughout our long wedding planning process (thanks to an unfortunate covid delay) but throughout Ossy was our main point of contact and we can't say enough good things about him.
The day before our celebrations were to kick off, my planner called Ossy letting him know she wouldn’t be in attendance due to covid exposure. We hadn’t yet arrived at the hotel but as soon as we did Ossy was waiting patiently because he knew I’d be getting the call soon too. As soon as my planner called not only was he standing by with a note that said “no stressing” but he was ready with all of the things he’d be stepping in to do to help.
Ossy and his team went so much beyond their jobs I can’t even list all of the things they did, but I can tell you anytime we needed anything, they were available and took action immediately. He became so much part of our wedding that my entire bridal party, my parents, our close family and even our vendors all commented how wonderful he was and how helpful he was to all the little details of the wedding. Even my 2 year old niece came to love him!
Our wedding planning and execution process absolutely wouldn’t have been the same without Ossy- the Hyatt, the events team, and any bride that works with him is so incredibly lucky.
Any event staff and Hyatt staff we encountered complimented us, helped with any small request, went so far to ask our favorite food items from each event so they could bring us plates, and helped with the never ending requests from family and friends. The Hyatt staff made our wedding magical and we can’t thank them enough!!
We will be sure to recommend Ossy, the events team, and the Hyatt to anyone looking for a wedding venue or just a great Orlando weekend stay.
We had our cocktail hour and reception in La Coquina ballroom. The views from the ballroom were breathtaking and everything was seamless! Mariana was so accommodating and understanding. She listened to all our requests and made herself available anytime I had a question. All our guests raved about every meal choice, and the portions were much more than expected for a wedding meal. Most of our guests stayed on site because it was so close to Disney World and the resort itself has so many accommodations (and am AMAZING pool)! I highly recommend booking with Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress!
I have so many wonderful things to say about my experience with Ossy and the team at the Grand Cypress. Our wedding was moved TWICE, and the Grand Cypress made each switch incredibly easy. Ossy is truly amazing at what he does. He is attentive, an excellent communicator, organized, and has a great eye for design. We had our rehearsal dinner in the La Coquina room, and the ceremony/reception in the Windsong Ballroom. The ballroom has the ability to be draped and has the engineering for added chandeliers which made our reception space look elegant and dreamy. The hotel itself has recently been remodeled and truly feels like a luxury resort. All the staff were incredibly kind and helpful the whole weekend. Our guests had a great time using the pool and resort activities as well. I highly recommend having your next wedding or big event at the Grand Cypress!
Ossy and his event team provided excellent attention to detail, outstanding service and a soothing voice for the nervous bride and her family. Ossy guided us through the planning process and tasting . He made excellent vendor referrals and worked well with all of our vendors. Ossy was amazing in helping us plan our entire wedding weekend from rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, welcome Friday evening cocktail party, bridal and groom getting ready suites, ceremony , cocktail party, reception and farewell breakfast. There were a lot of moving parts and details through out the weekend and Ossy managed them all with ease. Ossy and his team are amazing! All our guests enjoyed a glorious wedding weekend and enjoyed all the amenities along with the wedding activities . I highly recommend the Hyatt Grand Cypress Resort for your wedding venue!
Awesome....start to finish!
Molly was our event planner and was awesome to work with! She made the entire process easy from start to finish and was always helpful and responsive to our questions and concerns. Everyone we encountered at the Hyatt Grand Cypress were friendly and helpful! Beautiful resort and all round great experience!!! You will not be disappointed!
We had our reception at La Coquina in March, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience! Ariana was extremely patient with out "detail oriented" wedding, and she was even able to upgrade us with complimentary Chivari chairs the day of the wedding! They worked seamlessly with all of our vendors and the grounds are beautiful for taking photos. Thank you for an unparalleled wedding day!!
We are giving the Hyatt 3.5 out of 5 stars mainly because of the multiple changes in management of our account we experienced (grand total of 16 months). From the time we contacted the hotel with general inquiries about having a wedding at the hotel to the day-of the wedding, we had 7 different iterations of management. That’s right… 7. Our wedding planner even mentioned that it was quite unusual to see so many account changes.
We signed a contract with the initial contact and apparently many of the things that were agreed to were not standard, so when others took over the account, we had to fight tooth and nail to retain what was already signed and agreed upon.
The only reason why we did not give lower stars is because of the new Manager of Wedding Events: Ossy Lopez. Ossy reassured us multiple times that we would have our dream weekend, though we were hesitant to trust him. Ossy spent multiple times a week with my husband on the phone, had several conference calls with us, and walked us through every weather issue we had during the weekend of the wedding. When the wedding weekend arrived, we had terrible weather. We appreciated all of the accommodations he gave us with the weather situation—setting up 2 locations for the rehearsal dinner and 2 locations for the ceremony, all of which allowed us to proceed through the events with confidence. Ossy also made great suggestions including making our morning after brunch a private affair instead of having it in the regular dining hall during the New Years-Holiday hustle and bustle. He also made sure we were fed during the reception. He even told us that my husband and I were not allowed to dance unless we ate some food.
The hotel was extremely accommodating with all of the dietary restrictions that we presented. The food was phenomenal. Our guests raved about the food. The waitstaff during the reception was great about setting aside some food and cake for me to take to my hospitalized grandmother (she was supposed to attend, but at the last moment was unable to make it).
Our only true complaint is that during the cocktail hour, there were family pictures going on and we were told that we would have some food during that time. We did not receive food until 5 minutes before we were done (more than 45 minutes after cocktail hour started). We were reassured that we would have some of the hors d’oeuvres for not only our guests but for us. Our bridal party ended up running back and forth to the cocktail our location to bring us food.
Despite that mishap, we were overall pleased with the hotel. We were happy with everything and the hotel gave us some truly great and unforgettable memories.
Overall, our parents and us were extremely happy with how the weekend turned out and would recommend the hotel for not only any event, but as a vacation destination.
We had our ceremony and reception at grand cypress and though everything was organized and executed flawlessly. The staff at the Hyatt are willing to go above and beyond for any of your needs. Christa and Jessica were both very easy to work with, professional, and were always prompt with responses to all of my questions. The venue is absolutely beautiful and have multiple areas for great photo opportunities. I would definitely recommend this place for any event!

Thank you Brittini! You were a beautiful bride and so was your wedding!
It was semi-difficult finding a wedding venue that had hosted Indian weddings and allowed outside catering and I feel like the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress is a lesser known venue for Indian weddings. The wedding pictures on their website are outdated, the grounds are so much more beautiful than what they show. They were accommodating in regards to having my Hindu ceremony, Christian ceremony, and reception all there on the same day. I had to move one of the ceremonies inside due to the rain but it was not a problem and was still a beautiful ceremony. I'm glad I chose the Grand Cypress for my wedding venue
From the moment I saw Oak Terrace, I knew I would get married at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress. I worked with Kaitlyn, who assisted me with my questions and requests all throughout my planning, and she was so wonderful on our wedding day! We held a welcome dinner the day before our wedding, and both that dinner and our wedding ceremony and reception went so smoothly! Kaitlyn was so attentive, checking in with me and my husband throughout our events, touching base with my Mom to make sure that everything was how it should be, and the entire Hyatt team made our wedding weekend so amazing. Our server and banquet captain made sure to take care of us, checking in with us to make sure we were okay - and when my nerves got the best of me, and I couldn't eat, they made sure to send my meal up to my room for after the reception. This meant so much to me, and really showed how the staff goes above and beyond to make your day special. Our guests absolutely loved the food, the hotel, the pool - it was the perfect getaway for our guests, and we look forward to returning to the hotel for anniversary weekends and staycations! It was the perfect wedding, and we couldn't have done it without the amazing staff who took such great care of us!
My wedding was at the Grand Cypress in February 2019. I am very thankful we chose this resort as our venue! We chose the venue for convenience to have the entire wedding on one property, for the beautiful landscaping, for the professionalism we received from every single employee, and the outstanding food. They exceeded our expectations in all categories! They offered to help in many ways leading up to the day of and our event coordinator, Nicole, went above and beyond to assist us! Our guest have commented on how wonderful their experience was! If I could do it all over again, I would absolutely have it there. We can't wait to be able to visit the resort again in the future for anniversaries and reminisce on how perfect our day was!
My husband and I seriously could not be happier with the Hyatt regency grand cypress. The venue is BEAUTIFUL! Nicole Bernard went above and beyond to make sure everything went perfect! She was quick to answer every email big or small, and we were never told no. The sky was the limit. We threw together a last minute welcome party, and it they made it perfect! Our wedding was a huge success! Thank you so much, Nicole! We could not of done it without you!
I cannot even begin to explain how amazing my experience was with this resort. The staff are second to none, and made us feel like family from beginning to end. Our wedding coordinator, Nicole was attentive and made herself available for every last detail we needed. Many of our family members flew in from out of town to stay at the resort and complimented the beautiful grounds and wonderful amenities that turned our wedding into a great weekend family reunion. We were able to customize our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception to reflect us and our personalities, along with an amazing buffet dinner that we cannot stop talking about. All of my guests were amazed and emotional at how flawless our wedding was. Nicole and the entire staff at the Hyatt Regency all played a huge role in making our dreams a reality.
I got married in the La Coquina at Grand Cypress on 10/20/18. The room is gorgeous and my expectations were completely exceeded! Jessica Cain was absolutely amazing, responsive and organized. The banquet staff was so kind, frequently checking on myself and my husband during the reception. HIGHLY recommend! Thank you for making our wedding day so special <3
The Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress was the perfect place for our wedding ceremony & reception! Tracy Johns is an absolute DREAM to work with, she is responsive to emails and handles everything as soon as possible. Our ceremony was outside at Cypress Pointe, which was beautiful and then our reception was inside at La Coquina. We were drawn to this property because of all it had to offer. We also LOVED the floor to ceiling windows in our reception space, it made it feel open and our guests had a beautiful view to enjoy. Tracy is absolutely fantastic and I would highly recommend her and this property a million times over if I could!
Hyatt Grand Cypress first and foremost was a gorgeous venue and was more competitively priced than most other hotels in the area. We had our ceremony and reception there and would certainly do it all again. Our only complaint was that any budget/financial questions weren't clearly answered/communicated. The room block lists and pricing break-downs can be confusing--so communication could be improved.
Either way, you cannot go wrong with Hyatt Grand Cypress. Everyone will love it, and they will do anything they can to make the day special. We were one of three weddings in a weekend and always had what we needed. At the very least, make sure you take a tour.
We can't say enough about this venue and Tracy Johns, the Event Sales Manager. Tracy made the entire planning process and day of more than we could have ever asked for. She was incredibly caring, patient, flexible, and super responsive to any questions/concerns/requests we had. Tracy went above and beyond our expectations, and we will be forever grateful to her for making this experience so special. Her commitment to excellence and making the couple happy was evident from the beginning to the end. As for the venue itself, it is a beautiful venue with a wonderful team that delivers excellent service all around. We have joked about doing it all over again, just to experience it once more :)
Still wonder how I found them, but I am very lucky I did. From the moment I saw all of the options available at this beautiful resort, I knew I had to bring my fiancé. When I did, he felt the same way. The Event Sales Manager, Brittany Scott, is someone who loves what she does and it shows. She is such a kind and professional person. Every question, she was ready to answer and if she was not immediately available, Eva Delgado who works with Brittany was quick to get back to me. I feel so fortunate to have had such a beautiful wedding at a beautiful venue. And also, everyone at this hotel, from the moment we drove up, to check-in, to the actual banquet staff...first class all the way. I truly felt like I was the luckiest girl in the world. I cannot say enough about my experience of having my wedding here...I am already planning to book my anniversary here as well. Brittany, thank you again for all of the amazing work you and your team did. I am truly grateful.
The outdoor ceremony site and the reception room at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress made our decision of where to have our wedding an easy one—it is absolutely gorgeous, with beautiful landscaping, waterfalls, bridges and a lake that all made for amazing photographs. Though there aren’t as many photos online as for some of the other popular outdoor venues in the Orlando area, this resort is definitely worth seeing in person. It is moderately priced and certainly comparable to other popular venues as well. We couldn’t be happier with our decision! To top it all off, we and our guests were treated to exceptional service by all the hotel staff throughout our wedding weekend. Tracy in particular organized everything remarkably, always quick to respond to our questions and ensuring that all the details came together seamlessly on the day. We truly felt special and well taken care of. You won’t be disappointed with this venue, I guarantee it!
The Hyatt Regency is a great location for a wedding, the scenery is just breathtaking!
Other than the rude employee situation (described below), I would have to say I enjoyed my experience at the Hyatt. Tracy (event coordinator) was a joy to work with, the food was spectacular, and La Coquina is a beautiful reception space.
There were a few minor bumps during the planning process because the hotel event coordinator left his position 3 months before the wedding, and did not properly inform the new coordinator of the remaining to-dos before the big day. Thankfully, Tracy, the new event coordinator, jumped right in and helped us finish planning with time left to spare. She was great to work with, and accommodated all of our requests, even allowing our large dog (70 lbs) on property for pictures.
Our check-in experience was not the best. We were supposed to receive VIP check-in (champagne, greeting from manager, etc), but apparently that doesn't happen until after 11am - it was 10:45 when we checked in. Being the bride and groom, I thought they could make an exception. But the lady behind the desk was not budging, not even a bit. Meanwhile, the day before, my parents had VIP check-in and were treated like royalty.
We had a mix up with the welcome bags that were to be delivered to guests rooms. The front desk handed them out at check-in for some guests. When they were told they should be delivered to the rooms, the same guests that received bags at check-in later received a bag in their room. We were able to fix the issue, but I feel like it could have been avoided.
The only truly negative experience I had was when a employee kicked us out of our dressing rooms immediately after the reception. We had the dressing rooms until midnight, and it was a little after 11pm. There was even a sign in the hall with our names, room numbers, and the start and end times allotted for the rooms. The employee shouted in the room asking when we were leaving. He said we can't hang out there, and had to pack up and leave immediately. We were not being loud or obnoxious or doing anything that would provoke him to ask us to leave. We brought up a couple beers to drink while we packed up our make-up and changed clothes, it was harmless. I was very insulted by the way he treated us like we didn't belong there - it was me (the bride) and my bridesmaids! I felt as though we should have been treated with more respect seeing how it was a wedding.
I would recommend this location for anyone that is interested in having a "wedding weekend" as there is so much to do on and around the property. Overall, we had a great experience and our guests enjoyed their stay.(Hopefully you won't have to encounter the rude employee)
We initially booked our wedding at the Grand Cypress because my husband and I both had great memories of previous stays at the resort. However, the facility and especially the employees helped make our wedding flawless. My (now)husband and I wanted the wedding to be at a resort since both of our extended families live all over the country and we wanted those family members to have plenty of activities over our wedding weekend. The amenities at this resort in general are outstanding, just go to the activities page on their website and you will find something for everyone.
In terms of the actual wedding day, the entire staff was immensely well prepared and thoughtful toward our entire wedding party. The catering staff know how to host a party and the food/alcohol was outstanding. The entire event went so smoothly thanks almost entirely to their catering manager Christine Calace and day-of coordinator (which was included in the package).
While this venue is by no means "cheap", if it is within your price range, it is a bargain for the quality of the facility, the amenities, and the staff.
The hotel is amazing. I fell in love immediately with the cascade room when I toured the hotel. The fountain, the spiral staircase, and the view overlooking the lake was the icing on the cake. The room looked so beautiful as the sun was setting. The food was gourmet and delicious. No was never an answer and I loved it! The staff was very accomodating to my attention to detail. I would recommend this venue to anyone. It really is all in one.
I recommend having your ceremony and reception at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress. The venue is absolutely beautiful and the grounds make for perfect wedding photography backgrounds. The staff was extremely helpful and the catering manager was such a blessing to work with. Our families live out of state and having everything in one location was so much fun and easy for our friends and family to take part in our wedding festivities. We had an absolute blast spending time with our families by the pool and dining in the restaurants on property. Our guests were so excited about all the amenities and the proximity of all the local attractions and restaurants available to them during their stay. The food was amazing and our guests loved the variety of foods and the quality of the food for a wedding reception. The cake was also included in our package and I sent in a photo of what I envisioned and the final outcome was absolutely stunning. I could not be more happy with how our wedding and stay turned out. I would highly recommend the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress for all of your wedding needs.
I had my wedding here and it was absolutely amazing!! We had a few hiccups and they had started their renovations a few weeks before but overall it was a great experience and I would recommend this place especially to people with out of town guest. I had about 70 and they loved being by the pool and Disney so close by!
The Hyatt is the definition of professional and class! My wedding day was absolutely great. From day one they worked with me to customize the wedding of my dreams. Not many people can say that their wedding day was perfect, but i can honestly say that may day couldn't have been any closer. They handled everything from decor to lighting to food, even my cake which was amazing and actually tasted great! You can't go wrong with the Hyatt.
As my photographer put it, there are few resorts in Orlando that has as many different types of scenery as there are at the Grand Cypress. Cypress Pointe was the perfect ceremony venue to allow the great outdoors be the decor. The hotel was being renovated at the time, so my cocktail reception had to be changed last minutes because the contractors didn't move the equipment in time. The terrace right outside Trellises offers such an intimate environment for the cocktail reception among some lush greenery. La Coquina's floor to ceiling windows offered the perfect lighting during my luncheon reception. No fancy decor needed...just the natural beauty outside and through the windows did the job. The food, the FOOD was out of this world! The staff really took care of the bride and groom during the reception.
Overall, this hotel knows what they are doing. At times, I felt like I needed more information to do my planning since I did not intentionally hire a wedding planner, but in the end, things came together. If it wasn't for the renovation putting a dent in my cocktail reception, my wedding day would have been nothing less than perfect.
The Hyatt is not only a beautiful resort, but everything about the wedding was perfect. Juliana in catering did everything absolutely possible to make sure that my day was perfect and everything went smoothly. The service staff was great, and we've gotten SO many compliments on the food. We were also provided with a ceremony coordinator, which was very helpful. And the best part was the resort is dog friendly, which meant we were able to have our flower dog in the wedding! Additionally, for having our wedding at the Hyatt, we got 4 free nights at any Hyatt, which made our Hawaiian honeymoon MUCH more affordable. It might not have been the cheapest venue, but was definitely worth the cost!
Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress was a fabulous venue for our wedding. They have several gorgeous places to have the ceremony, but we chose Cypress Point. Our luncheon was supposed to be outdoors on Trellis Patio, but it was too cold, and we moved it inside. There was no fuss, and I didn't have to worry about anything.
The only bad thing was that I had to plan primarily through email, since I can't be on the phone at work and there's a three hour time difference between me and the Hyatt. Jessica took her time replying to me, and I had to send several emails more than once.
Nice pool, spa, restaurant + resort facilities
