Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe

My husband and I first fell in love with the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe during a visit in October 2025. We enjoyed the resort and Osteria Sierra so much that we returned in April 2026 to plan our wedding celebrations. We celebrated our marriage on October 10, 2026, with a ceremony at a separate Lake Tahoe overlook, followed by our wedding dinner at Osteria Sierra and a farewell brunch the next morning in the Hyatt’s Guests Only event space. We also spent five nights at the resort in the Sierra Suite. The people who helped us are what made the weekend truly special. Shannon Nevins coordinated our farewell brunch and was absolutely phenomenal. Her communication, organization, attention to detail, professionalism, and genuine kindness were exceptional. She made us feel that our celebration really mattered to her. The brunch was everything we’d hoped for, with wonderful food, a beautiful space, and terrific service from Jeff, Maggie, and Julie. Katie Stirrett helped us with the original arrangements in April and was equally thoughtful and supportive. Both Katie and Shannon went above and beyond, including personal gestures that meant a great deal to us. Chef Shay at Osteria Sierra also deserves tremendous recognition. He took time to discuss our wedding dinner menu, listened to what we wanted, and helped create a wonderful meal for our families. The food was delicious, and Carla, our wedding dinner server, was fantastic. She made everyone feel welcome and well cared for. The resort itself is beautiful, and the spacious Sierra Suite was wonderful for our wedding weekend. It’s a premium-priced property, but the food, accommodations, setting, and above all the exceptional people made the experience worthwhile. I do want to be candid about two problems. We had significant difficulties with previously confirmed room arrangements, and when we arrived for our wedding dinner, the space was not set up as agreed. Having to correct that immediately before such an important event was upsetting. Some communication and coordination leading up to the weekend also fell short. Fortunately, the dinner setup was corrected before the meal began, and the food and service afterward were outstanding. General Manager Pascal Dupuis subsequently addressed our concerns personally, apologized, and provided a meaningful resolution. He even sought me out at checkout to speak with me. Juan Martinez, one of the front desk managers, was also particularly helpful. My advice to other couples is to confirm the event layout, seating, and important logistics in writing and reconfirm shortly before the celebration. We appreciated the way leadership ultimately handled our concerns, but avoiding those last-minute surprises would have made the weekend easier. Despite the challenges, we came away with beautiful memories and enormous appreciation for so many wonderful employees. I would especially recommend Shannon and Katie to couples planning celebrations here. The Hyatt was special to us before our wedding. Now it will always be part of our marriage story, and we hope to return for anniversaries for years to come. Thank you to everyone who helped make our weekend memorable! ❤️

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect venue than the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa and Casino for our wedding! The location is absolutely gorgeous—right on the lake with stunning views that made our special day truly unforgettable. Lounging on the beach is amazing, and the pier bar is a great spot to relax and enjoy the scenery. Every person we interacted with was amazing, and Caity and Brittany were especially fantastic to work with. They were organized, accommodating, and made us feel so comfortable throughout the planning process. As a same-sex couple, we appreciated how welcoming and inclusive they were. From the planning to the big day, the entire experience was seamless, and our guests couldn’t stop raving about the venue. Highly recommend this beautiful spot for any special occasion!
