+1 star: The Halona Kai lawn has an amazingly beautiful ocean view! I had my ceremony at this location and Hyatt did not disappoint. My husband and I are not the tallest people so I requested a little something to stand on so everyone can see.... A raised platform was provided and was big enough for the archway, officiant, us, and even quite a few guests for the post ceremony pictures. It made the moment really special since all guests could see what was going on, and we could see everyone's faces. A drawback is that my guests were in the full sun for a good 30 minutes in 80 degree+ weather. I would have opted for some linen tents but I decided to spend that money on the open bar.
+1 star: The food was amazing!! We had the beef filet and the hawaiian ono served to our guests. I would highly recommend choosing those. Even better was that we got a dessert trio made with local fruits, as opposed to getting just 1 served for all.
-2 stars: The coordinator was lacking. Our large wedding party consisted of loud aunties/uncles/parents and 7 slightly buzzed groomsmen/bridesmaids, so I get it's hard to get everyone on the same page during rehearsal. But I REALLY needed her to guide us, be more assertive, and to get everyone focused. One the day of, no one really knew where to go after walking up to the altar, no one really knew where their reception seats were, I wanted my immediate family to sit in the two front rows but most sat in the back. Just to name a few. Definitely an area needing improvements.
