We had our wedding at the Hyatt New Brunswick back in May 2021 and it was an incredible venue that more people should check out! The Hyatt facility and ballroom is beautiful, spacious, comfortable and clean. Having both your wedding reception and hotel room block in the same building was a huge plus side that everyone loved! From cocktail hour, to the reception, to the after party in the Hyatt's Glasswood Tavern (which is awesome), nobody had to leave the facility or drive. It is so worth it. The staff at the Hyatt were all so accommodating and the food options are fantastic. The food tasting they provide you prior to your wedding was top-notch. Instead of doing a wedding cake, the Hyatt gave us the option to serve their delicious and gourmet homemade donuts with an icecream bar which was a big hit!
We can't thank the Hyatt enough for hosting our wedding day!
The best venue for our wedding event and hotel block. Margot and Ashley were such pleasures to work with and very responsive while planning our Sangeet and hotel block and the staff was always so friendly and accommodating from check in to check out. All of our guests who stayed here for the weekend had a perfect experience especially in the hospitality room and lobby bar(which we rented out for the event). This is the perfect venue for your event with its central location, quality of service and experience.
The Hyatt went above and beyond to make a perfect wedding reception. Joe Suk was our wedding coordinator and he did a fantastic job! Chef George's food was delicious - a true culinary delight for all our guests. I can't possibly list all the reasons you should consider the Hyatt as your venue but below are several key ones:
-Fantastic cuisine
-Ease of working with the event people
-Same price regardless of the day
-A hotel, with a discounted block of rooms for guests and a complimentary bridal suite for the bride & groom on their wedding night
-Fair pricing
-Lovely facility & ballroom (that can hold many people)
-Great location - 2 blocks from train station & major highways
I wish I could give the Hyatt an all star review, but I cannot. We used the Hyatt grand ballroom for our rehearsal dinner (100 guests) and for one of our room blocs.
Positives:
- ballroom was lit beautifully and set up the way we had asked
- cocktail hour beforehand with a very well presented cheese and snack display- really wowed guests
- decent rooms for bridal guests
Negatives:
- we had to figure out shuttle arrangements and the hotel was no help, putting us in a back and forth of ten separate email exchanges. Finally I was able to catch the driver on the phone who promised he would be there to help pick us up
- room bloc arrangements were, simply put, a nightmare. It's up to you to make sure the hotel is releasing rooms (they won't tell you if you need to- you'll have to wait for your guests to say there are no rooms left); terrible customer service- very tempted to name the person who was consummately unprofessional- screening phone calls, literally, because she had screwed up and didn't want to own up to her mistake
- getting guest welcome bags organized was yet another disaster; several people didn't receive due to hotels' organization
At the end of the day, I would say use the Hyatt purely for it's rooms as it's event staff seems to be on top of things. Strongly do not recommend relying on these guys for room blocs or anything else (transport etc)- this is not a group of people that will go the extra mile for you...
We got married at the Hyatt Regency New Brunswick in October 2014. We did not have a wedding planner, and worked with Jennifer, their coordinator, extensively to make sure everything worked out. She was very responsive to emails and phone calls, which was great for us.
In the planning process, it was very easy to make changes (for example, swapping out a standard kind of cocktail hour hors d'oeuvre for a mac and cheese bar) and we definitely had a lot of questions.
As the day approached, we wanted some last minute changes (added a guest two days before, after the final payment) and additions (we wanted a table to have a candy buffet in the main room) and this was no problem.
The day of, everything went perfectly. The food was amazing, and everything was fantastic.
The hotel rooms were nice (almost all of our guests stayed over) and there were conference type rooms we used to have a brunch the next morning with family. The hotel has a bar in the lobby, and that was a hit with our guests after the reception ended. The lobby area is also very pretty--we took some photos on the stairs and in the atrium area.
The price was higher than some of the other hotels we looked at, but you get the cocktail hour, open bar (two bartenders during both cocktail and reception), wait staff, dinner (crab cake opener, salad, entree, chocolate covered strawberries) and the cake (which is baked at an actual bakery).
I cannot say enough about Jennifer Eodice and the Hyatt Regency New Brunswick! From the cocktail hour, to the wedding, to our after party at Glass Woods Tavern, to our guests' rooms, and finally to our brunch the following day, the Hyatt Regency executed every aspect of our wedding weekend flawlessly. The gorgeous venue was the perfect backdrop for the most important day of our lives. Jennifer provided not only superior service, but kind insights in planning for our wedding. Her prompt responses, advice, and guidance throughout the process were not only professional, but also compassionate and genuine. We could not have asked for a better point person at the Hyatt Regency New Brunswick, and we could not thank her enough for her efforts to make our wedding truly the best day of our lives!
I loved having my wedding at the Hyatt. Jennifer was such a great help and always managed to calm me down when she would notice me getting nervous. The event was beautiful and we received so many compliments!!
I just got married on 04/10/10 and can't say enough about how much help Jennifer Eodice and Maureen Schafer were in making sure our wedding went well. My husband and I were excited to find a place that was modern yet big enough to hold all of our guests. The staff was very helpful and responsive. They were all willing to meet with us multiple times to go through the events of the day and were able to troubleshoot problems the day of the wedding. I definitely recommend them.
Having my wedding reception at the Hyatt was one of the best decisions we made. Everything came out beautifully and we couldn't have been happier. Jennifer was amazing to work with and was always prompt in returning my many emails and answering my questions. She fought for us when the cake baker wouldn't do what we requested and and won. She really made the experience everything that I could have hoped for and imagined. The food was outstanding! The accommodations were perfect. The cocktail hour was so impressive that many of our guests thought that that was the actual reception! I would recommend the Hyatt to anyone looking to have an out of this world event!
We loved the food customer service hotel rooms and the location was perfect for us.
