Jimmy V was a life saver during the whole process. So thankful to him and the team for making our wedding amazing!

uests from the ground up and made the wedding planning process go so smoothly for us on their end. Jimmy went above and beyond being our event coordinator and went through extra length to ensure everything went accordingly as planned! We had a 750 guest count wedding and one of our biggest concerns was how the food was going to turn out given that high of a guest count but thankfully everything came out well. Our guests spoke highly of the food, the venue space, and the overall location (especially for our out of town guests since it's so close to the airport). We have several friends and family who have already booked with them as a result of how things went at our wedding and we would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a venue spot for their own wedding!
I’m not sure where to start for this absolutely incredible experience. My husband and I had the wedding of our dreams at Hyatt Regency O’Hare in Rosemont! When beginning to look ar...
ound for venues, we decided to have it in a hotel where they could accommodate guests from out of state/country. We decided to contact Hyatt & request to do a visit, and the minute I spoke with Jimmy Viscomi (who was very quick to respond), I knew we had found our location. To begin with, Jimmy is a kind, lovely man, who genuinely wants to make your event perfect. Honestly, absolutely everything provided exceeded our hopes and expectations. The entire process of planning was so easy – made seamless by Jimmy, our event coordinator at Hyatt Regency O’Hare. Malissa also made every effort to accommodate us in every way to make it the most special day for us. She sent me weekly updates of everyone who booked under our room blocks & answered every question we had. They were always quick to respond, making communication simple. All aspects of the contract were clearly explained, and the timeline / due dates were easy to follow. We held our reception in the stunning Grand Ballroom. The table settings were gorgeous, the drinks were perfect, and the plated meals and their presentation were outstanding & delicious. Our guests raved about the food! We got the duet of shrimp & steak & it was perfect. I love that their packages include the linens, plates, silverware, glassware, gratuities, and other fees – we didn’t have to stress about a thing! We also had last minute changes with our guests count the day before the wedding & Jimmy handled it so well without adding any stress to me. Every request we had, they provided. During the reception, the staff were amazing and kind to everyone (we had about 350 guests) and treated us, literally, like royalty. Our friends and family have been raving about how incredible everything was. I cannot recommend this venue, and all of it’s staff, enough. I wish we could host more events there! A million thanks to Jimmy Viscomi & everyone at Hyatt Regency O’Hare in Rosemont for giving us an unbelievable day, and memories we will cherish for a lifetime.
Outstanding service.
Hyatt Regency Ohare was absolutely Fantastic! Highly recommend and ask specifically for Jimmy Viscomi he was proactive, kind, attentive, and diligent in his preparation and support...
of Coleen and I.
Our Wedding reception was wonderful and it was a good party with everyone raving about the food and drink. Lemon sorbet seemed to be a hit as probably a dozen or so folks said it was nice.
Many Thanks to the Hyatt staff for everything, they were all very attentive, friendly, prompt, and ensured everything was smooth sailing for Coleen, myself, and our guests. Ricky and Eva were also fantastic! Please pass our many thanks to the individuals we did not have a chance to thank personally.
Brunch also was great the following morning. We had a huge crowd and the staff was great. Janice provided the same white glove service we got from Friday night.
Thank you so much for everything and kudos on the excellent job to all of the Hyatt staff.

ith Jimmy, he was extremely helpful, quick to respond, and accommodated all of our last minute requests without question. Janice ran the party so smoothly we didn't have to worry about anything except celebrating our parents. All of the staff were very friendly and quick to help us with anything we needed. The whole experience was fantastic from start to finish and our parents could not have been happier. Jimmy, Janice and their team are the best!

rvice, and the guests raved about the food, and especially the service. The Hyatt Regency and their staff are the most well coordinated of venues, and we would most definitely recommend.
Kelly and Shari were incredible Superheroes! They stayed with our covid rule changes and challenges all the way through. Our second venue change turned out to be a beautiful space ...
that accommodated all of our guests perfectly. Excellent food, melt in your mouth fillets, beautiful hotel. We can't stop getting text messages and emails telling us that was the best wedding they've ever been to! Communication is key when planning a wedding and I was so happy when I arrived on my daughters wedding day to have my extra heroes coming to help me with my every need, so grateful for that! When it was all said and done seeing the smile on my daughter's face... Priceless!
I would definitely NOT recommend having your wedding here based off of the event planner, Shari. Throughout the wedding process, Shari was great, she was on top of things, answered...
all our questions, and was very easy to communicate with. We had asked Shari specifically on the phone and via email if we needed to hire a wedding planner. For all of the things we mentioned, she said she would be on site that day taking care of them. We show up for our rehearsal and she informs us she won't be running it, some notice would have been nice, we had assumed she was since she said she'd be there and every wedding we've stood up in at hotels, banquet halls, and golf courses/country club the event coordinator runs it. The day of she completely dropped the ball. First, she never told us our florist couldn't get in to set up for the ceremony until two hours before the wedding, our florist found out the day before the wedding. This caused her to run late and our whole wedding to run behind also putting our officiant in a bind as he had somewhere else to be after our ceremony. She was no where to be found, she didn't lead anything, our florist, officiant, and DJ all made comments how there was no one running it and she was no where to be found. We knew there was a doctors convention in one section of the grand ballroom during the day, she didn't tell us they would still be there and the signs with prostate written all over them would be up as our wedding guests were entering. She put the wrong sign in front of the room. She told us she'd be standing there during the ceremony to hold open the doors and tell everyone when to walk down the isle-she didn't! No one knew when to walk and as the bride I had to open the door myself to walk into my own wedding. She didn't have the cocktail hour in the right room either. She was no where to be found after cocktail hour entering into the reception. At one point in the night she actually complained to my mom about the long days where she has to work weddings-if you don't like your job and your not good at it maybe you shouldn't be doing it!!!! She also didn't do what we asked for the sweet table, we specifically told her left overs were for family and she put out to-go boxes two hours before the end of the wedding so people were taking tons of sweets to take home guests at the wedding never even had the chance to eat. I've stood up in and been to several weddings including at venues that were far less expensive where the wedding coordinators did ten times more than Shari so it's not like we expected her to do anything but the very minimal basics of what any event coordinator would do. Also dealing with the people who handled the room block was a nightmare. They screwed up SO many times it was impossible to get anything straight and in the end we were charged for two rooms we shouldn't have been. The hotel itself is lovely, the ballroom was beautiful, the food was really great and all of the servers did a wonderful job, however I'm sure that's true of any nice hotel in the area. Shari is terrible at her job, if you don't want your wedding day to be stressful and you don't want to spend an insane amount of money to have someone drop the ball and screw everything up when it counts then I would look elsewhere!!!!
My now husband purposed in February this year and we got married this past September!
Our wedding and event coordinator Amy Dresser was amazing! She was friendly, timely, and...
also extremely available to us.
She made us feel like we were the only event going on in the entire hotel, she absolutely helped us in every aspect of our venue, and coordinated with all our other vendors.
Now as far as the venue goes, it's gorgeous, we have the Rosemont Ballroom that fit about 300 guests, it was large and had the most beautiful lighting fixtures.
The food was great, we opted for the duo plate (chicken and beef), sake salmon, and the typical veggie platter. We also got the Chicago Style Snacks that consisted of the mini hot dogs, burgers, and pizza.
What I liked the most about the Hyatt and Amy is that they were flexible, if we wanted to add on, mix and match, or take away an option they were totally okay with it.
As stressful as wedding planning can become, Amy helped calm my nerves.
If you want the best coordinator go to Amy Dresser and if you want an amazing venue go to the Hyatt Regency O'hare!

att was a beautiful venue. We worked with Amy Dresser, who was amazing every step of the way. She was so accommodating to all our requests through the planning process, and she was there through the whole reception to make sure everything went as planned. All the bartenders and wait staff during the reception were great and the food was delicious! While the Hyatt is a little pricier than some of the other venues in the area, it was well worth the money. I could not have asked for a better reception venue!

ry organized and professional all the way from the start of the planning process through to the big day. She always provided great details, was very responsive and made sure we understood all the nuances of every decisions which allowed us to feel confident and comfortable knowing that everything was being covered. She is a genuinely lovely person to work with and was always on the mark!
We had a big event and the Hyatt was great as a one stop shop for venue, catering, bar and accommodations. And our event went off without a hitch thanks to Amy and her team. Everyone went above and beyond to make our dream wedding a reality. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a big space in the Chicago area.

d was incredible, we still are getting compliments months after the wedding. Shari helped us throughout the whole process and there are no words to express our gratitude for all she did to make our day special. I could call her or email her at any time and she would get back to me right away. That kindof service is invaluable when planning a huge event. She had wonderful ideas and helped to make all my visions a reality. She went above and beyond to help with all the little details she as creating a signature drink for us, finding ways to fit a dessert table and late night snack into our budget, leaving little notes and treats in our rooms the day of the wedding, checking in with all throughout the night to see if we needed anything....the list goes on and on. I highly recommend the Hyatt not just because its an amazingingly beautiful venue but also because the staff is so wonderful, especially Shari :)
