nt and kind throughout (and with COVID, there was a lot of uncertainty, all the time!!), and her knowledge and experience are obvious...she knows what she's doing! We also worked with Chrissie and Lyric, who were also incredible and provided so much support in the weeks leading up to the actual event. Between the three of them, every last detail was in place, things like labeling food for guests with dietary restrictions (also, the food was fantastic!!), helping us keep things on schedule, checking in on our guests throughout the night, it was all so seamless! Thanks to them, on my wedding day, I did nothing but have a blast with friends and family...I didn't have to worry at all! And, of course, the venue itself is stunning. We chose the Cottonwood Pavilion--it is beautiful and private, and our guests absolutely loved it.

Shauna worked with us on every detail, allowing us to have our dream wedding and stay within our budget. Mohammed, the manager of the hotel, took care of every logistical detail and went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of--from organizing horseback rides for the kids to making sure my dress arrived on time. Everyone on staff was always one step ahead of us. We also appreciated the preservation of important cultural elements specific to the Pueblo of Santa Ana all over the hotel. We wouldn't change a thing.

ception tent housed a 18 piece jazz orchestra and with the help of the accommodating staff and florist -the tent was transformed. Food and drinks were delicious and elegantly served . Our families and friends all loved the experience of the hotel and gorgeous rooms, pools, hiking trails and spa. Truly, a treasure in New Mexico, you simply can’t forget it.

ll that said, the best thing about the Tamaya is the people. We worked with Shaunna, who was amazing, to start with. Towards the wedding day Shaunna had to take some time off and we transitioned to working with Lyric and Kelly, who filled some very big shoes very welwell. The overall transition was smooth and stress free. The planning was all very consistent and communication was easy; it was obvious from day one all of the staff we worked with wanted to make our wedding as perfect as we did. But, since planning major events can never go perfectly, on the day before the wedding we had a Covid scare. My wife's mom looked like she had contracted the virus and other members of the family were possibly at risk of second hand exposure. We called Lyric to discuss options and she moved heaven and earth to help us. Without her help the wedding would have been postponed or canceled. She changed our venue to an outdoor one, arranged last minute setup and staffing for us and coordinated our way through what could have been a disaster. I don't know how many hours she put in between the day before and the day of the wedding, but it was a lot. She was with us throughout the wedding day, helping with last minute setup and more. The people at the Tamaya are a real X factor in making your time and event at the Tamaya special. Book them and book them today.

ay was perfect! I worked with Shaunna, Lyric and Sarah. They are the most hardworking and caring people ever! They answered every question that I had and did everything they could to make the day as perfect as it was. The Tamaya has three areas of the resort where you can hold your ceremony/ reception. We got married at the cottonwood pavilions and it has a beautiful gazebo. The cottonwoods is away from the resort so it give you a sense of privacy. When I say everything was perfect I mean it, the food was delicious, and the staff was so attentive to our guests. I know everyone worries about spending too much on their wedding but I can't say this enough every penny was worth it and well spent! Call them and get them booked as your wedding venue as soon as you can you don't want to miss out on them hosting your wedding!

e until the day after when they delivered us a surprise morning after breakfast right to our door. The space is breathtaking and the resort gives the most peaceful and natural ambiance. Most of the reason we went with them in the first place was because Shaunna Skrondahl was so open to our ideas, genuinely excited to work with us on this special day, and made us feel so comfortable around her. But truly I could never have imagined how wonderful she would be when crunch time hit, directing everyone and every detail from the rehearsal to determining if wind would make us have to move to another location. My husband and I didn’t have to worry about a single thing from that first second we arrived two days before the wedding. The team decorated for us, set up and took down everything, they loaned us many gorgeous items for the centerpieces and ceremony, and adjusted and re-adjusted when the wind threatened to blow over our rented archway and doors... even though they were from an outside vendor. This place not only offered the most magical, peaceful and natural beauty of any venue we had ever seen in the Bernalillo/ABQ area it offered not one but three different ceremony and reception areas and came with the amazing and incredible team I already mentioned. And for those couples (like us) wanting you stick to a budget, I promise when you crunch the numbers it’s not only affordable but even less than some of the non-inclusive competition. The food is 5 star... we get compliments all the time still, and every detail and recommended vendor we worked with from Shaunna’s team was incredible and just as willing to be creative and flexible. It was the perfect spot for us and I would absolutely recommend it to everyone. We will never get to thank the Hyatt Regency Tamaya enough for making our day truly perfect. We will be visiting every year on our anniversary!!

our taste with no problems :) The resort itself is so tranquil and accommodating. We had our puppy in the wedding, and there was a dog bed and food and water bowls in the hotel room for her! So thoughtful :) The gazebo where we got married, and the reception hall directly across, made for such a unique wedding experience! All of our guests loved the secluded feel and my husband and I felt so taken care of the entire time :) The food was absolutely spectacular. We asked for a charcuterie spread and the Tamaya delivered a feast! Every guest was raving about the food and the spread was so beautiful 😍 10/10 worth every penny!

The food was great and family friendly, Shaunna was beyond responsive and helpful, and she found ways to give us extra value, explained limits they had and never tried to up sell us on anything. She just helped us figure out our vision for our wedding and reception and made it as easy as possible. I couldn't be happier with how things turned out and we were extremely worried being out of state. With help from my friends and family, we put our money and resources into doing more things at Tamaya. mfortably fit our 260 guests. We loved the option to have our cocktail hour on the patio of the Cottonwood Pavilion, as well as be able to walk outside and get some fresh air when we got hot inside. The person who really made our day absolutely perfect, though, was Shaunna. She is the real deal. She helped me in ways that I am pretty sure was not in her job description (help fix my dress when it ripped, searched our room for the cake topper, etc). She is the BEST and we are so fortunate to have had her as our venue coordinator. She really went out of her way to make sure our day was perfect. The waitstaff and bartenders were equally as great too! Everyone was great at Tamaya. Our guests said it was by far the best wedding food, and even the best steak they've ever had, so thank you Chef! If you are on the fence about having your wedding at Tamaya, just do it! You will absolutely not be disappointed. Thank you Tamaya SOOOOO MUCH for making mine and Erich's wedding day our perfect dream wedding!

t. We choose a date the next day to be May 2017 so that none of our cousins or other family members would swipe that date. We looked at 10 different places in Albuquerque before we went to Tamaya because we thought it was out of our price range, however, we wanted to see how it compared. We worked with Shawna Akin to tour the grounds and review the wedding packages. Because we planned so far ahead, Tamaya was willing to work with us. After a comparison of all of the quotes we got, everything was similar for 200 guests. Tamaya was still the most expensive, however, it was only by $500; which is @ drop in the bucket when you consider the big picture (camera, DJ, videographer, coordinator, invitations, save the dates, weddING dress, tuxedos, etc.) My wife was so excited after the comparison results and she told me this was her dream. I was pretty excited as well. I knew we both wanted a beautiful wedding. One for the books. Shawna and the Tamaya staff were extremely helpful and attentive during the while planning process. We discussed food allergies, dietary restrictions, safety, etc. They do a lessons learned meeting after every wedding to see how to improve. It worked out for us because our wedding could not have gone more smoothly. Nothing, absolutely nothing went wrong and that was thanks to the dedication of Tamaya team. We were told by both sides of our family that it was a fairy tale wedding. I would recommend Tamaya to anyone. They have three or four wedding locations, but my wife and I choose the cottonwood area. It is private and beautiful. We cannot thank the Tamaya staff enough for everything.

We have nothing but positive things to say about Tamaya and feel so fortunate to have been able to have our wedding at this beautiful location!
