My wife and I got engaged in February 2016. We immediately started planning the wedding the very next day. I will admit that she was significantly more motivated than I at the start. We choose a date the next day to be May 2017 so that none of ...our cousins or other family members would swipe that date. We looked at 10 different places in Albuquerque before we went to Tamaya because we thought it was out of our price range, however, we wanted to see how it compared. We worked with Shawna Akin to tour the grounds and review the wedding packages. Because we planned so far ahead, Tamaya was willing to work with us. After a comparison of all of the quotes we got, everything was similar for 200 guests. Tamaya was still the most expensive, however, it was only by $500; which is @ drop in the bucket when you consider the big picture (camera, DJ, videographer, coordinator, invitations, save the dates, weddING dress, tuxedos, etc.) My wife was so excited after the comparison results and she told me this was her dream. I was pretty excited as well. I knew we both wanted a beautiful wedding. One for the books. Shawna and the Tamaya staff were extremely helpful and attentive during the while planning process. We discussed food allergies, dietary restrictions, safety, etc. They do a lessons learned meeting after every wedding to see how to improve. It worked out for us because our wedding could not have gone more smoothly. Nothing, absolutely nothing went wrong and that was thanks to the dedication of Tamaya team. We were told by both sides of our family that it was a fairy tale wedding. I would recommend Tamaya to anyone. They have three or four wedding locations, but my wife and I choose the cottonwood area. It is private and beautiful. We cannot thank the Tamaya staff enough for everything.
