We booked Hyland Orchard for our 9.27.24 wedding and it was simply the best decision we made! This venue is absolutely stunning and amazing to work with! If you’re looking to book here and have the option to hire Doe, DO IT! She was my go to person with wedding planning and made the process way easier! We also hired her for her beautiful rental decor & florals! She absolutely killed it and it could not have turned out better. Everyone loved the florals & decor! My bouquet & the bridesmaids were breathtaking and she nailed all my inspo I sent her! She did our arbor also and it was stunning!! She’s truly an amazing person and really cares about all of your wants and needs! & bonus because she makes it happen!! Overall If I could have done anything different I wouldn’t have! She made sure everything went smoothly and we had the best day getting married on the hilltop overlooking the orchard!! 10000/000 recommend having your wedding at Hyland Orchard and hiring Doe! It’s the perfect rustic orchard wedding!!
Thank you Doe for everything you did for Bryce and I- we appreciate it more than you know!!❤️
This is definitely one of the greatest wedding venues in Massachusetts! The staff are also incredibly helpful, so attended to the needs of their clientele, and are always so on top of helping vendors get situated So they can do their best work possible! 1,000,000 stars for their day of coordinator, Doe! She’s incredible! If you want your wedding to go smoothly, come to book here!!
Cannot say enough great things about Hyland. We got married on 9-9-2023. It was an absolute beautiful day, what made it even better was working with Doe. She was with us for every step of the way and made us feel stress free on our wedding day. With the florals on site she brought my arbor dreams to life. We had a large wedding and the barn was absolutely beautiful and the grpunds were amazing. Highly recommend for any couple looking for a fun low key wedding.
Hyland Orchard was the PERFECT venue for our October '22 wedding. From the moment we visited, we knew this was the venue for us and the rave reviews from our guests about the location only further solidified the choice we had made. Doe and her team at Hyland were so supportive in making sure that our day was beautiful and we would do it all again if we could. Truly, the gorgeous setting and fun add-ons helped make our wedding day the best day of our lives!
I’m so glad we decided to have our wedding at Hyland. The ceremony space is beautiful, our guests enjoyed the wagon ride and lemonade stand, the pavilion is spacious and beautiful. Doe was fantastic she set up everything better than I could have imagined. I wasn’t feeling well before the ceremony and she went above and beyond helping me. She is prompt answering questions and is very knowledgeable. You won’t regret having your wedding here!
We chose Hyland Orchard as our wedding venue, and we couldn't be happier we did. The orchard itself is stunning. A beautiful, rustic pavilion, a gorgeous hillside, friendly farm animals, rows of apple trees, and a view from the hilltop that will leave you speechless. It's the perfect place for a New England wedding. Doe is amazing to work with. She truly cares about each and every couple, and is a person you can rely on. Hyland is a DIY venue, meaning you have lots of flexibility when planning your special day. There is a preferred caterer, which has fantastic reviews, and going that route means you don't have to worry about linens, renting glasswear, etc. We ended up going with a food truck, which meant more logistical planning, but it worked out just fine! There are also several add-ons available through Hyland and through Design By Doe. It was so fun picking and choosing the ones we wanted! You can also hire Doe to help you with planning, florals, decor, etc. and she gets AMAZING reviews from brides, so if you're not into event planning, she's the one to help you out. Our day was perfect and magical, and we had many guests tell us it was one of the best weddings they've been to. Thank you, Doe, and thank you Hyland Orchard! We'll be back during apple-picking season to visit!!!
The venue was everything I wanted and more! It was such a beautiful setting for everything I had in mind for the day. Everything came together perfectly.
The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because we did pay for the clean up and Doe did most of it but she left a bunch out at the picnic tables under the tent and nothing was cleaned up at the ceremony site above. My husband (love saying it!) and I cleaned it up when we picked it all up the next morning.
Otherwise, beautiful and I would recommend to anyone looking for a rustic setting! The fire pit was great and definitely take advantage of the s'mores table.
We got married on August 17th, and it was a vision come true! Everything looked beautiful, and the weather turned out to be great. The hilltop ceremony made for some awesome photos/memories, and the rockhouse is the perfect hangout to keep the bride hidden before the walk down the aisle. Hyland is s DIY wedding, but they do offer hiring a coordinator (Doe, DbD) I would highly recommed hiring her if she is available. She gets the vision you are looing for, sets up everything the exact way you would want it, and makes everything run as smooth as possible. The only negative,is that the pavillion area does get pretty warm with everything in there, dancing, and partying. The doors do open, but if there isn't a breeze is can get pretty warm. Might recommed renting fans if your not into sweating! Any one looking for an outdoor wedding, stop searching and go check it out.
Hyland is just wonderful! We had a blast, and everyone asked us how we found it because it was gorgeous! I'm so happy we found it!
Hyland Orchard was the only venue that we looked at, we knew we didn't need to look anywhere else. The venue is considered a DIY venue but Doe is amazing and provides plenty of inspiration and does a great job setting everything up and making your vision come to life. The view alone at the hilltop is a selling point and then you add in the bonfire and atmosphere of the pavilion we were sold.
My husband and I can’t say enough about Hyland Orchard. We got married here on June 15, 2018 and everything was perfect. Doe went above and beyond on our day of. I know our day wouldn’t have been so perfect without her! The location is gorgeous, and all of my guests can’t stop talking about how much fun and unique our day was. I wish we could relive our day again and again!!!
We had a wonderful experience with Hyland Orchard for our wedding. This was the first venue we looked at, and we chose it after visiting only one other. What sold us was the value, the beauty of the location, and Doe. First impressions go a long way and Doe made a great one - we visited with our two kids on a freezing January day, and my now stepson was throwing snowballs with his sister. Inevitably, his hands got cold, and Doe had handwarmers that she turned over to him in an instant. The kids immediately loved her and so did we.
We also thought the price was good - we were pitched a DIY venue and chose an off-season day at the going rate which ultimately saved us a TON of money in the long run. It is my understanding that all the rates have gone up since. If you want to engage Doe's help and services you do have to pay a separate fee to hire her as a coordinator. That was fine for us since we got such a great deal, but for the current going rate for in-season dates you can probably get a more inclusive experience elsewhere for a similar price. Just something to consider. Hyland is great because you really can customize your wedding experience, but know that for everything you decide to do your way, you will experience challenges and frustrations. We basically deferred to Doe on everything and had an amazing experience because of it. If the upfront cost is not prohibitive for your budget, I definitely recommend hiring Doe - she executed our decor and our vision for the wedding beautifully. But if you don't hire her, be prepared to pull a LOT of weight on your own.
This is the reason I give 4 stars instead of 5. While our wedding was absolutely perfect, I do not think I would have felt as satisfied if I had to pay an additional $3-4K, so I caution others to take those things into consideration. However the Hyland way is a wonderful way and is totally worth it!
A true hidden gem! Doe and Chris are a dream team. Her passion for what she does is cool to see- on our first day there we had a tour, visited the animals and tried a flight of beer. Our wedding day was awesome. The little touches everywhere (which I didn't see until I just got pics back)- included little photos of us with quotes, flowers from her greenhouse. She calmed all our nerves in the hippie hut and her excitement over the day made everything so special. My family even loves her! Chris even drove the tractor! a hidden gem for a laid back orchard wedding. no corporate country club attitude here, just real deal good peeps.
The venue was great and everything that we could have have asked for. I am sure it will start to cost more in the long run, but right now that space (and overall venue) you get for the price is top notch. Great beer, while they try to funnel you to Country Kitchen for catering their food was really good. My wife was into DIY, so we did most of our set up and center piece creation. Compliments are easy
If I could, I'd give this venue 3.5 stars... And unfortunately that's because of the person in charge or managing the wedding process. Sadly, this individual caused several road blocks (and stressed my future wife for virtually no reason, which in turn stresses the future husband) which I will detail.
NOTE: We did not pay for any wedding planning package, because frankly we did not have the same taste as the manager, which is totally fine and has no bearing on this opinion. However..
1 - "email correspondence"- When we saw that there were varying planning packages couples could purchase, we honestly couldn't care less since we were going to DIY anyways. When I saw the packages however, I noticed that they all had the bullet point that said "email correspondence." I am sure it has been removed by now, but I can tell you from my experience this indeed is a feature you have to pay for. We would email questions and sometimes get responses 2-4 weeks later, and it didn't even answer the question that was asked. Several times we had to look at both emails (what we sent and what we received) in an attempt to understand what we were sent as answers. We were sent the wrong contract twice, the communication was pathetic and we just understood this was how it was going to be... And in the end it was a small problem. It is great the manager focuses more on the creative things, I am sure it is a passion. But at this moment the manger is the venue's rep that communicates with the bride/groom whether they like it or not and and I am not sure I have seen a poorer example of good communication.
"What I created" - So I am pretty sure this was written on Hyland Facebook wall at midnight when the planner was on a vacation... But the best thing about this venue (right now) is the DIY aspect, or having the ability to hire a planner that aligned with your taste maybe better than the person there. I remember being told while visiting Hyland you can hire your own planner if you want, but once again we did not care because my wife wanted to DIY everything.
It seemed there were several brides who wanted to higher outside planners, and this feature that the planner said was totally OK turned out to be anything but OK. There was a midnight facebook post about how offended they were that other people wanted to hire a planner so they could "ruin what I've built," and some other lines that were clearly coming from booze and a hurt ego. It was amazingly unprofessional. I had someone reach out to me about it, because I wrote in the post that the manager said it was OK to do this and there was a better way to handle this, and they actually cancelled their venue reservation. There was one other Facebook rant, that I cannot remember.. But I cannot remember as I did not really care as my opinion was already formed.
Great venue, everything/one else is just fantastic. In the end we interacted with this individual maybe 2 hours during 1.5 years of planning. They will improve as well.
If you want full blown DIY, this is the best venue for the price.
There’s no way to truly express how amazing our experience was at Hyland Orchard! The Hyland team and their recommended vendors helped us create our perfect wedding. The venue hits it out of the park with the beautiful orchard views to the custom woodwork of the barn/bar, to the fire pit, and tractor ride to the hilltop. The setting provides a gorgeous backdrop for photos with so many variations and options, your photographer will be limitless. The venue is also DIY which allows you to bring your personal vision of your big day to life. The coordinator (Doe), also provides design packages to help ensure your vision comes to life. It is also evident that Doe also puts her whole heart and soul into Hyland Orchard. She accommodated us in any way we needed, so personable and passionate. She was also there in person to help us over the road bumps for our rehearsal and wedding day. In fact, I left her a laundry basket of very wrinkled tablecloths and she spent hours the night before and day of our wedding trying to get rid of the wrinkles, and when it didn’t work she came up with a solution so we didn’t have to stress. I am writing this review a month after our wedding and to this day I am still on a high from our experience, it was unforgettable. Hyland Orchard will be the first place I recommend for weddings and events. We look forward to being able to continue to build our memories at Hyland Orchard as we attend other events! If you are looking for a unique, gorgeous, rustic, outdoor, personable, and customizable venue, then Hyland Orchard is your place! Sending another huge thank you to Doe and the Hyland Team!
Hyland Orchard and Brewery is an amazing venue. The ceremony site is perfect - the arbor, the benches, the view - and the Rockhouse is fun to hide out in while every comes up the hill on the wagon (big crowd-pleaser)! The pavilion itself is huge, gorgeous, and comfortably sat our 144-person wedding, complete with band and dance floor. The bartenders are very kind and speedy. Doe (the venue coordinator) is very helpful and curates a Facebook group for sharing wedding ideas and answering questions for future couples. The firepit was a big hit, and the property has plenty of space for people to roam and explore. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for an outdoor/rustic wedding vibe and also any beer-lovers!
My fiancé and I first found the venue when we were considering a brewery wedding and when we saw it online we fell in love. We immediately emailed Doe who got back to us quickly on when we could see the the venue. We responded with our availability and didn't hear back. After about 5 emails from both of us we finally heard back (after almost a month of trying). We scheduled an appointment for 12 on a Sunday. In our way there the appointment was pushed to 12:30 on Doe's end due to traffic. We arrived at the facility and at 12:30 she texted saying that she would be later than expected but to go have a beer in the brewery and she would meet us inside to talk. She never came inside to have a sit down. After our drinks we went to the pavilion to meet with her and she couldn't have been more cold and impersonal. She never sat down with us to discuss pricing, gave us round about answers to questions and overall seemed disengaged in the conversation. We left feeling heartbroken and frustrated that a venue we felt represented us so well was a flop due to an unprofessional coordinator.
We loved almost everything about Hyland! The pavilion was gorgeous and the ceremony on the hill offered beautiful landscape! The orchard/brewery is a DIY site for set up and clean up which if you plan correctly is perfectly fine.
There is a coordinator in site who will assist and also peddles her own items and services for hefty fees. You can do it all on your own for cheaper and things still come out wonderfully!
House made brews along with the fire pit in the background made the night extraordinary and it was overall a fabulous place to get married!
Our ceremony was up on the hill overlooking the entire orchard--a GORGEOUS view. For only $100 they rode all of our guests up to the top in a hayride (vintage tractors!!). The reception was under a pavillion next to the petting zoo and the brewery--tons of fun and the beer was great. The staff was friendly laid back and extremely accomodating. The owner was 1000% flexible in what I wanted to do--the property was practically MINE for the entire day. I can't say enough wonderful things about Hyland Orchard & Brew.;It's definitely worth it to rent a dance floor since their pavillion currently has only small rocks as flooring.. but they said they'll be installing one soon. Also when you're getting your pictures taken don't forget that an orchard is muddy and you WILL get dirty! (I didn't mind.. it was the best day of my life!)
